I second the review that E Cobb Massage Envy's customer service stinks. Had an issue where my credit card did not authorize a charge (probably because the card was replaced after some erroneous charges appeared on this account) so they cancelled my ME account. Manager Brittany was rude, spoke over me, and only wanted to recite their policies. She stated they "always call when they have an issue with a card". I advised her that I did not have a record of a call or voice mail from them; neither did I have an email. She could have cared less. She again stated their policies. When I asked who to contact at corporate she pointed to a sign on the wall that was located across the room. At that time there were 3 people working at the reception desk and one person in the back office. Do you think one of them might have gotten up to write the corporate contact down for me? l"ll be finding another ME location if and when I continue my membership. Corporate needs to train their front line people better. Remember your front line people represent your company. Folks in East Cobb expect good service. read more

Walked in to learn about the services and three receptionists were sitting with nothing to do. When I asked them for a brochure it obviously made them mad! One of them had to get up and walk 5 feet. Sure made me NEVER want to come back and pay them for that attitude! read more

O.k. so I am trying out Massage Envy. If you scroll through my reviews in the past, I havent had much luck communicating with Massage Envy's...especially the one in Buckhead. I know they're all different, so I am going to try out the one near my home...I bought my bestie a Massage Envy massage when she was going through a rough time and she loved it, so I know not all locations are bad. This one doesnt have any reviews, so this will be interesting. I am trying out the online reservation services. I know a lot of us are busy and dont really like to take the five minutes out of our day to do something personal for us unless they have to, so the online feature is nice. (I work a lot and I feel like when I am on a personal call, I am shirking my work duties...so not having to be obvious about doing something personal makes me feel a little better about myself...and yes, I know that is so not normal.) My bestie gave me a gift certificate for a prenatal massage at Massage Envy. I am 15 weeks and 6 days, therefore I am in the clear for a massage. Some places say wait til you are 13 weeks, others say wait until you are 14 weeks. Well, I am way past those. Ooops, just thought I should have told them how far along I was when I made the appointment online...She asked her Massage Envy a lot of questions: when can she get a prenatal massage? (see above response) What is the difference? They dont massage AS firmly and they avoid certain trigger points. What do they recommend? Give her an hour and a half because it will take her prob. thirty minutes to get comfortable and really enjoy it, then she can have an enjoyable hour. ALL good questions and I am glad she asked. Anyway, I tried to reserve for Sunday (tomorrow) ... today is Saturday, but I wanted to get started on this review. I'll finish the review out before I post. So they called. Sadly Sunday was booked. The girl that called me was super nice and super helpful. Great interaction. They had great follow up - confirming my appointment. O.k. here is the verdict - Massage Envy East Cobb is good. They are not too pushy (I know they need to sell memberships, but I didnt feel too pressured). I got to go in after work hours and relax...which was nice. Jaein was my therapist. She did very well. I had a prenatal massage. I don't like prenatal massages. I like deep massages and that wasn't in the cards. I think I will come back once I have the kid and can enjoy a nice massage. read more

I have a monthly membership and love a firm massage so I usually have Zena as my massage therapist. But whoever (if she is available) I get is always wonderful. I've never had any experience that wasn't relaxing in a soothing, professional atmosphere. read more

The worst customer service ever!!! Being located here in East Cobb the management should have higher standards for the employees. I called to schedule an appointment they had one in 20 mins. I said I was on the way and I would be there in 10 mins. They then asked for a credit card, I said I was driving and unable to get my card and read numbers off of it. The girl I was on the phone with said ok and that she understood. When I arrived there the receptionist then said that her co-worker had given my appointment to someone else. When the woman I spoke with explained it to her she said it didn't matter, since I couldn't give a CC. The girl I was on the phone with said "she is on the way" and the other girl said "I don't care" I arrived 8 mins later and there was 1 person at the desk she seemed very embarrassed to inform me that they really wouldn't let me have the appointment because I was unable to give the credit card. Literally, ridiculous and unethical. The company needs to get rid of the employee and be careful who they have representing the name Massage Envy. Because I know for me that I wouldn't even go to another location. read more

Don't get sucked into membership and contract here. They are independently owned and operated and if you ever experience an issue, you are locked into a contract and stuck. If you experience an issue at another location, they will pass you back to your home location, and then your home location will direct you back to the other location as no one takes responsibility. They are willing to take your money as one company and network, but when it comes to an issue, they will revert back to their franchisee structure....Very frustrating. read more

This is my "home location", meaning they handle my billing because it's where my account was first opened almost six years ago. I can't recommend opening your account here less. It took them 2+ years to change my phone number despite multiple requests over those 2 years. I had an issue with billing and membership issues and called multiple times to request that the manager or owner of the location call me to resolve it. I heard nothing from Kathy, the owner, or from whoever the manager is. I reached out to massage envy corporate to have them call on my behalf in an attempt to get a response. Nothing. I reached out to an owner of a different location to have him pass my info on to Kathy directly. Nothing. Rest assured though, on the occasion that my credit card on file had expired, they were able to call (the wrong) number over and over again, so their phones are in fact working over there. The customer service is non existent and it pains me that this is the location that benefits from my monthly memberships. If you're looking to join the membership program, go to any other massage envy. read more

This location is not up to par. While the massages are ok the management is not. There is a "bait and switch" mentality here. You are better off going down the street and working with an honest business. read more

I was so excited to receive a gift card for a massage from my daughter last Christmas. I set up the appointment and had my two daughters with me to enjoy the day. They are very busy and it took about a month for the appointment to occur. Once we got there, the young lady stated "your appointment was for four and I remember you, you agreed to a different appointment time" She was argumentative and rude.I showed her the appointment card which indicated all three appointments were for 5pm and she began arguing about the appointment being missed was my fault and maybe she wrote it down wrong but it was my fault. I sent my daughters back for their appointment and waited for them in the lobby. Sasha was rude and dismissive towards me: She did not Apologize, nor did she speak to me while I waited. She and the other you g lady began talking about baby mommas, Spanish people, growing up in the projects, sharing videos on there phones, talking about dinner over the 4th of July, and best friends who got pregnant and their "baby daddy's leaving them". Horrifying to know that this was discussed at the main counter of the business but it also demonstrates why there was no customer service completed. I will never go back to a message envy again, not that I really got to experience it in the first place. read more
