Great at taking your money, not so much at massages. If you pay for their subscription, you'll find its extremely difficult to find a massage. If you somehow find an availability, you'll experience cancellations last minute. If you cancel last minute you'll be charged a penalty but if they do it its fine. Massage envy is NOT A MILITARY FRIENDLY company. To pause your membership requires filling out forms and prevents you from using your credits you already paid for. Should you accumulate extra credits due to their scheduling issues or during periods you are on orders, you'll find yourself with a backlog of credits. They will then punish you for trying to work through that backlog by fees for transferring to family members and fees to pause your subscription and still use the credits you paid for. Highly recommend if you live in this area or visiting from out of town jet lagged and need to relax . read more

They will never have appointment openings when you want them. Ever. I have had a membership at this location for over a year. I usually see John, who is wonderful, to do firm-deep on my shoulders and medium-firm on my back and neck. I book out with him months in advance. Used to be a month now it's months plural. In the past 6 months any time I realize I have to change my appointment, I can't get back in with John and have to see somebody else. It's frustrating, but it's okay, I've seen a couple other people when needed who did a good job. So I rescheduled an appointment to today and asked for firm-deep tissue and they schedule me with a woman who tells me she doesn't do deep tissue, but can do a "good firm". I say okay that's fine. Her firm feels like light pressure to me, so I end the appointment early. It's not even touching my knots. Then I leave and cry because my back has been killing me and I was really looking forward to getting a massage. They didn't have another opening with someone who can do deep tissue for THREE WEEKS, and it's a day I can't do! So now I'm on the WL for openings and don't have another appointment with John until the end of August. The woman at the front desk barely apologized. I really don't know why I have a membership since I can't utilize what I'm paying for anymore. They need more massage therapists apparently. Today was really disappointing and a waste of time. Now I have a massage booked elsewhere (for more money) later today. read more

I have been a member of massage envy for several years. I have had many great massages and facials. I never complain if they are less than stellar. I am a consistent and loyal customer. However, my husband tested positive for Covid and I was worried I would expose the technician so I called to ask if it was ok if I still come. I tested negative and they told me I couldn't come which is totally fine. I would expect them to be cautious. However they are charging me for 1/2 the cost of one of my prepaids. This feels very unfair. I have dealt with other things that have frustrated me over the years but this is the last straw for me. When my prepaids are used I am cancelling and moving my business to longevity. read more

I've used various specialist here and each has been professional, listening to my concerns and addressing them. The price of membership is reasonable as it isn't a luxury spa. Friday was my first visit ever and man was I impressed. The place smells amazing and everything was super clean!! The beds are heated and comfy!! Matthew was my therapist and he was amazing!! Nice staff and had a good massage. However, I feel like the service style is odd. I'm not someone who can afford a regular massage- I only get massages when needed. When they told me how their business works and I would be charged a higher fee for not becoming a member if I ever booked a massage again, it made me never want to come back. It felt more like a tanning salon than a massage salon- constantly pushing products and asking about upgrading services. No thanks. read more

I called about a particular service and was basically told that unless I become a member, the service would be more expensive. I am not interested in becoming a member of a massage parlor nor do I want to feel as if I am being pressured into joining someplace that I have no desire to join. I am only 16 and came in a joint appointment with my mother a few months back, I felt like even though it's late I should leave a review because they for some reason have a bad rep that I don't think they deserve. Every person we spoke to was extremely sweet and attentive to details. I was nervous about people touching me but 5 minutes in I never wanted to leave! I have a membership and see Alicia every two weeks for chronic pain in the right side of my neck. She is incredibly gifted with a therapeutic style utilizing a trigger-point method massage. Most importantly, she listened to me on my first day. I've had other massages where I asked the therapist to spend the majority of the hour working on the troubled area, and their idea of the majority of the time was opposite of my definition which resulted in a search for a new therapist. I have a colleague who also sees a male therapist at this location and swears by his trigger point therapy also. This is a new Massage Envy that is having issues. They appear to be very good at selling 12 month memberships and promoting preferred appointments. Yet it is rare that even as a member I can schedule a massage on less than two or three weeks notice. I tried for a particular type of massage they promote and I was told the first available appointment was SIX WEEKS away. A different nearby ME had multiple appointments within a day or two. What's the point of being a member? I can get in to see my doctor, or even most medical specialists, within a few days. I'll bet anyone that they'd let you join now - even though they admit they don't have the staff to service their clientele. It appears to be about sales - with little attention to service. read more
