I have been a client at the Mill Run Hilliard ME for years. Always pleased with my therapist and front desk staff. HOWEVER, my daughter recently had a horrible experience. The therapist did not follow multiple ME basic protocols, did not listen to my daughter regarding her specific needs after her repeated requests as well as to STOP upon her request. I understand this therapist has been terminated and he WILL be reported to the state medical board. read more

I have been to this location a few times and never had a problem until last week. I made a reservation for 2 massages and they called the next day and said they had a scheduling problem. Tried to schedule for a different day and they said I would be charged a cancellation fee of 50% of the massages. They wouldn't even waive the cancellation fee when they originally rescheduled the appointments, even when I spoke to the manager. I guess they would rather bring in $0 than the cost of 2 massages. Jim was my therapist. As a therapist myself, I knew the SECOND he started it was going to be great and I knew 5 minutes in I was signing up for the monthly program. Great presentation setup as soon as you walk through the door. Has the relaxation vibe as soon as you walk in. Customer Service: Ladies working here at the receptionist desk to my mom and I's personal massage therapists was outstanding. We had slight communication that we were booked to have our massages done together so they had to reset up a room for us. Well accommodated us and asked us our problem areas that we wanted to specifically have worked on. As well as they asked us what areas we did not feel comfortable with them massaging. Quality/Quantity: The quality of the massage was great. I have never had a professional massage outside of my boyfriend pampering me at home. This was well needed and well worth the cost. The quantity of it was not what I expected. An hour massage went by so quickly I was surprised when my therapist told me she was done and we could get dressed. I most definitely will shoot for a 2 hour session next time. Side Notes: Have single massages, have couples massages (this is what I booked for my mom and i). Check it out. I was given a gift card for a massage. I arrived early to check in. Was asked to wait in their Tranquility waiting room. After 30 minutes I went back to front desk and they said they were busy cleaning and had forgotten about me. They offered a free 30 minute massage but I was so angry there was no way I was going to stay and get a massage at that point. I told them I would call back. I'll go to a different location after I cool off. Very irritating. read more

This is the worst run business I have ever dealt with. You have to schedule months in advance to get a therapist. Yet they have cancelled on us no less than 5 times at the last minute! They have no plan to replace sick or absent therapists. You get extra points, but cannot get scheduled to use them. Management is no help at all. I booked an appointment for my girlfriend. She is fairly delicate, so she asked her masseuse to be gentle. He ignored her request and was very very rough with her. Each time he asked if that pressure was ok she said, " it hurts please be softer." He continued to use his elbows and firm pressure. She came home crying and has been in pain for 2 days. So much that I have been rubbing bio freeze on her each night. I will NEVER send her back there. read more

I'll admit, I've sort of avoided Massage Envy in the past. I don't know why I had a poor opinion of it-- I guess I equate it with a strip-mall walk-in nail salon or something (which I still patronize, but...). I guess I just always went for places with a full spa experience when selecting a massage location. Boy, was I wrong! We were trying to schedule same-day massage appointments (my friend and I wanted appointments at the same time), and I think this would have only been possible at a place like Massage Envy. Add in a 3:00 kickoff time for the Bucks, and we got two available appointments, yay! I get massages maybe 2-3 times per year, and usually before or after big, stressful events. The interior of Massage Envy was warmer and more serene than I was expecting-- decorated nicely, with a dimly lit waiting area once you get past the initial hustle-and-bustle lobby. The only available therapists were men (given our last-minute scheduling), but I needed a deeper pressure so I was glad to have a guy. James was fantastic and really sought out the perfect pressure points and places where I needed work. He had some out-of-the box techniques that I really appreciated, too. Who knew my forearms were all knotty? In the past, I've had massage therapists who don't *quite* hit the right spot, but I can feel that they are near the pressure point they assume they're pushing. Or, they don't keep lines of communication very open about pressure or where the time should be spent. I didn't have ANY of these problems with James. He was very communicative about pressure and time, so I felt like my service was extremely customized to what I wanted out of the session. Additionally, he made sure to give me the FULL 60 minutes. Sometimes start times are as many as 7 minutes off from the appointment time (by the time the room is ready, paperwork is squared away), and I've had therapists stop on the following hour, regardless of the actual start time. James had hands-on for the full 60 minuts. My only gripe was that he was a bit too chatty. They gave us a first-time discount, which was greatly appreciated. They also have a monthly membership option. It's not in my budget right now, but it looks like a good deal! read more

I've been getting a massage at this location a handful of times now since moving to Columbus, and have always been very happy with the visit. The front desk staff is friendly and efficient, the location is easy to get to for me with no traffic to speak of, and massage therapists have been wonderful! For what it's worth, I tried a couple different therapists, all good, but Liz has become the one I see most regularly now. One of the things I liked immediately was that their massage tables are heated. I've been to a few other places over the years and more often than not, this was not the case. I have to admit that this was especially appreciated in the winter - even though we have had a mild one this year. If you are in need of a good, relaxing massage, I'd highly recommend you give them a try too. read more

After trying 4 Massage Envy locations in Cbus area, this one is the best thus far. The receptionists take time to understand my goals of the massage, and they know the strengths of their therapists while other locations lump therapists into just 2 groups - relaxation and deep pressure and up. Scott has been 1 of the best therapists I've encountered at Massage Envy. He takes a few minutes to ask areas of concern for that day's session. He is open to letting me tell him what to focus on and what areas might need more pressure than others. For someone who has constant back tightness, I appreciate the deep tissue massage on my back while enjoying a more relaxing massage the rest of the session. NOTE: All Massage Envy locations in Cbus tend to be full by Thursday evening for weekend massages so make sure to plan ahead and book those appointments. read more

After Pelotonia, I was in dire need of a good rub down. My back felt like I was hit with a 2x4. After calling five other places to see if they could fit me in that day, I finally found an opening! I really wanted a Sports Massage, but beggars cant be choosers. It was really easy to get to. I had to fill out some paperwork and talk to the receptionist on why I needed a massage. I then met with the specialist.. She made me feel comfortable and relaxed the whole time. Very nice people and most importantly, my back felt better. The membership package seemed pretty expensive. I take great measure to make sure everyone hears about the service I received from this Massage Envy, as well as the inner workings I witnessed on my few visits to this location. It has taken me a bit to research some of the who's and what's, because I wanted to make sure I wasn't over-reacting. Jonathan Turner, one of this franchise branch's owners, is as obnoxious as they come. I personally heard him berate an employee in the middle of my massage over something that IMHO should have been taken into an office room. Over having a cellphone out in the hallway. I don't know what the exact situation was (did they just come in? Were they leaving for the day?) But I'm sure I wasn't the only one to hear this go on. On another visit, to pick up a gift certificate, I overheard him on a call to an employee. I don't know what the call was for, but the aftermath of it was enough reason for me to leave and not come back. Some of the things that were said were outright Medieval. These are my only experiences and honestly I don't need any more. I've heard of other issues but since that is essentially third party info I won't repeat it, unless asked. If what I saw is common in how he treats his employees, I wonder how they have managed to keep a staff. read more

It is a very nice, clean, friendly place. They have massages and facials, which is a plus for women. If you already get facials every few months or every month, you can get a membership deal that lowers the price. You have one appointment per month at reduced cost for 6 months or 12 months. The messages and facials are top notch. they are always ready for you when you arrive, easy check out if you have the membership, because you pay directly every month. read more

I come to ME because I have chronic pain in my neck and back. I work in a volatile environment. So self-care is very important to me. When I first made my appointment it was a gift. My boyfriend had given me one of his massages from his subscription. After the first time I was relaxed and glad to have enjoyed my massage. When I was leaving The staff asked me if I wanted to schedule another appointment to which I said yes. After my second appointment I was determined to have a subscription of my own. My massage therapist John D. was absolutely outstanding. I have been coming to him for the past year and a half and I cannot begin to express my gratitude regarding this young man's ability to release my tensions. It helps that he used to work in the same field as myself. And he understands the stresses and how much self-care is vital to what it is that I do. He takes the time to read how my body responds to the pressure and makes proper adjustments. He is also very attentive to my verbal feedback regarding areas of concern or areas of focus for each session. John D. at the Hilliard Ohio location has taken me from being at a constant eight or nine pain level down to being able to function at a four or five on a scale of 1 to 10 regarding my pain. He does a great job of making sure that I know what his schedule is so that I can make appointments that are going to be beneficial for myself for the purposes of relaxation and pain management but also so that I am not stuck trying to fit into just any schedule with any masseuse I appreciate that he is very open and accommodating. The rest of the staff at massage and we is also excellent. They make a point to know me by name know who I am here to see at each of my visits. They are great they allow me the opportunity to relax before and after without being bothered in the lobby as well as in the front waiting area. I will continue to come in once every three weeks for my services because without them I can tell the difference in my life my physical being as well as my emotional ability to deal with my daily stressors. read more

Horrible customer experience!! Do not waste your money! As a business owner myself, it pains me to leave a 1-star review like this, however, after my experience at this location this week I felt it necessary to warn others about how awful this place is. They absolutely do not care about the customer... all they're really after is to make you sign up for their monthly membership! And the beds are horribly uncomfortable! I had arrived to my appointment a few minutes late (10 minutes to be exact- I have a small baby at home and so getting out the door on time can be a real struggle!) I was so excited for my 1 HOUR massage that it was literally all I could look forward to for weeks! Upon my arrival I was taken into the room to begin the massage, and I noticed that the bed was incredibly uncomfortable.. my head was on a downward slant and felt as though all the blood was rushing towards it. I asked if it could be adjusted and the therapist said "no", and instead grabbed a small towl and put it under my neck. Cut to 35 minutes later, and the therapist abruptly ends the massage, saying "OK that's it!" and walked out the door. Puzzled by this, I told the front desk I signed up for a 1 hour massage... their response was cold and unsympathetic, saying that actually their 1 hour massage is really 50 MINUTES, plus I was 10 minutes late, so they deduct for that! OK, so all that craziness aside, if you do the math that still doesn't explain why my massage was only 35 minutes! They're only response was, "That will be $90... if you sign up for a membership though it could be less". HAH, yah right! So I ended up paying $90 for a 35 minute massage on an extremely uncomfortable bed, along with the staff not caring at all about my experience and trying to extract MORE money from me in the process. PLEASE do not waste your money here! Go somewhere else where the staff will actually treat you like a real human, where you will get your moneys worth and actually receive the FULL massage you pay for, and where the beds are actually comfortable! read more

Warning...the owner at this location is a complete fraud. I was a loyal member of Massage Envy for over 5 years, including 3 at this location. I moved out of the area and did not like the therapists in my new area. I was getting the run around at that location on how to cancel the membership and finally was referred to this since it was still my home location. I tried and informed them of my intent to cancel and was routinely told I had to speak to only the manager. I now live out of state and her schedule and mine never seemed to align. We finally did and I was REPULSED by her lack of customer service. Not only would she refuse to refund my 3.5 massages left, she claimed that I never told them that I wanted to cancel. That's complete BS. Her team is NOT TRAINED on how to handle this clearly and she refused to accept any responsibility. Now I am left to get involved with the class action lawsuit or look at other legal options simply because she refused to do her job of taking care of a customer. There is a reason that there is a class action lawsuit against them. Look it up, as it covers situations exactly like what I experienced. While my experience here was good up until this happened, I cannot in good conscience recommend this chain and certainly not this location to anyone! read more

Great Masseuse but horrible customer service. I had been a massage member for over two years and twice have gone to appointments only to say they double scheduled and i needed to reschedule and Today i received a reminder call at 1240pm for a 1230 massage . Twice i have not received a 24 reminder call. The manager was NOT accommodating and stated they had called at 9pm the night before. I had no message and the message generally state you can cancel outside 24 hours so the call would not have mattered anyways. there was no resolution or the manager was not willing to find one. I canceled my membership. I was told Id have to come in and cancel with a signature..just what i had time to do..(Cancel at anytime not strictly I guess) I finally enlighten her to send it to me and I would gladly sign.. They need to know how to run a business and find people who can do their jobs..again masseuse was great but i can't take the pain of inefficient and non-accommodating customer service and manager read more
