I've been coming to this location since 2019. I won a gift card and booked my appointment, after my massage they informed me about their monthly membership. You pay a fee every month and it's good towards a 60minute massage or facial. If you don't use it you accrue credits and you can also gift credits to friends and family who are also members. I've been a member ever since to take advantage of self care monthly. As soon as you walk in you are greeted by the friendly staff. My go to MT was Milli every month until she moved now I see others and am finding my next go to. All of the MTs I've seen so far have been wonderful, they know exactly how to take out my kinks and knots. Always feel so refreshed when I leave. So I went in today, my favorite massage therapist had an opening at the last minute and a was in need of a massage. I was having lower back pain and she worked it all out for me. The person who called me said they have these new therapies that they offer and described them to me and asked if I wanted to try it. So this updated review is only for these 2 new services I tried. The first one was Red Light Therapy: I didn't know what to expect but was lead into a room with a large table of LED lights and a rolling LED panel that was trifold that you position 2-3 inches from your face. The girl turned on the LED lights and boy were they bright. They provided goggles and a towel to roll under your neck for support. They say the more skin that is exposed to the lights the better so most people go in with their underwear/bikini, the room locks so no on can come in during your session. They say it is good for all kinds of things like arthritis, eczema, wrinkles, pain, circulation, cellulite, cell regeneration. You just lay on the table, you can flip from your back to your front, but I just stayed on my back cause I was having lower back pain, the table gets warm and it actually felt really good. They say the more you do it the more you notice it's results. I would recommend and will book another appt. to do this therapy again. After my Red Light Therapy treatment, I had my 1 hour massage, then tried the other therapy which was. Vibration Sound Therapy You go into a dimly lit room and there is a large comfortable table that has a remote control and you can adjust the position of the table. The table is warm and has weighted blanket. And it vibrates to the music that is playing. There was also an eye mask you could wear the vibrates to the music and massages your temples and head phones that played the same music and I think it may have been noise cancelling but I didn't use it. I positioned the table so I was in Zero Gravity, it was relaxing and especially after my massage being so relaxed, I took a nap. I have been a Massage Envy member for over 10 years and have been to a lot of different locations, and this Kapolei location is honestly something special. What really stands out is how big their hearts are and how talented they all are at what they do. You can feel the aloha and the genuine care from everyone the moment you walk in. It is a busy clinic, but it is obviously why. Schedule ahead if you can, but if you are flexible they end up having openings every week and do their best to fit you in. First I want to thank my sister-in- law Tiana B. and brother for gifting me a gift card here this past Christmas. I know my sister-in-law has been coming here for years and now after my first visit I can see why. Things are slowly getting back to a little more normal now with the Covid-19 vaccines being distributed but it's nice to see Massage Envy still keeping the importance of social distancing and other health/sanitation practices on place. Because they had been closed for some time it was a long wait before we were able to get a weekend appointment. The process is very efficient and streamlined. I recieved a reminder text the day before with some health and safety guidelines as well as an option to call ahead to complete the pre-screening questionnaire. Upon arrival there is a board outside prompting you to text "arrived" when you get there. You get a reply letting you know that your room is being disinfected and you will be contacted when it's ready. My sister in law and I were invited inside by one of the workers where our temperatures were checked and we were brought to a beautiful waiting room. There I was asked some questions about my health history, since it was my first time. From there, your therapist comes and leads you to your "treatment" room. You're asked what areas you want to focus on for your session and asked to"disrobe to your comfort level". Depending on whether you will be lying on your stomach or back you will asked to leave your face mask on. I started on my stomach, where I was able to remove my mask. Then when I turned onto my back I was asked to put my mask back on. My therapist Laureen was awesome! She talked to me throughout my 60 minute session and made sure I was comfortable the whole time. Frequently asking if the pressure was okay and giving me suggestions for ways to self care at home. My first experience with Massage Envy Kapolei was a total and complete delight from beginning to end. From the cleanliness to the ambiance to ample parking and so much more the location is on point! As far as the staff, the professionalism, efficiency, and friendliness is amazing. I happily took advantage of there monthly membership program for both my husband and I. Looking forward to my next massage, which will be 90 minutes instead of 60 :). They also offer facials which I may decide to try in the future. However, it's impossible to get a decent appointment scheduled when you actually need it or they say the "schedule isn't out yet" when you attempt to be proactive. I go to the Pearl City location more often now because of this. I've had some bad massages at Kapolei and have requested to not see certain therapists again. Awful feeling when you schedule time to relax and cannot! I had a subscription months prior to becoming pregnant and while pregnant. Therapists who did my massages while pregnant were all heaven sent! Appreciated the accommodation. Also wish cupping was an available selection when booking online. They use "deceptive" billing practices and don't stop charging your credit card monthly billing even after you cancel your membership. I just looked up their profile in the Hawaii Better Business Bureau and saw similar complaints spanning years ago. Luckily I spoke to an employee named Erylan (spelling?) last month and she helped credit me back - perhaps she's the only trustworthy person at the front desk and in management. My wife got me a monthly membership for my birthday to try out and see if I enjoyed it. No contract was ever provided to us, yet when I wanted to cancel my membership since I couldn't use their services due to time constraints they claimed it's a one year membership, yet they could never provide me with any signed contract for it, because I never signed anything. With the type of job that I have, it's vital for me to get a massage at least quarterly. Depending on the amount of hours I can afford, I normally come in for a 90m every other month. As far as I can remember I've been getting massages at least twice a year since becoming an adult. It was always a treat for myself around Valentine's day, birthdays, and anniversaries. But it wasn't until 2 years ago that I finally gave into a membership at Massage envy. It was a Christmas present in 2016 that my best friend, who is actually a LMT that gifted me a 60 minute massage that brought me in, in the first place. So that's gotta say a lot for someone that does massage for a living to send me here. I also have a couple of fellow cosmetology peers that work for the company and they have nothing but great things to say about the business. This location is very clean! Upon entry you're greeted by the lovely ladies that handle check ins, appointments, memberships, etc.. there's space to wait/lounge around. There's also a nice relaxing tranquility room. I've always been able to have a handful of candy from either the from desk or the tranquility room while I wait lol. Cold water is always available as well, gotta stay hydrated! In the back they have 2 private and very clean restrooms. I haven't actually counted but I think they have at least 10 private rooms for either massage or facials. I have also been able to book a couples massage on a few occasions. The room is separated but the door in between can be opened to kind of share the experience or at least be as near each other as possible. As far as the Massage therapists go, they are all very professional and amazing at what they do. I've gone through a couple different ones but I'm so glad I've finally found someone I can see consistently and I'm always satisfied with the service. Jasmine is truly gifted! She's very professional and I can't say enough good things about her. She has limited days of work so she does get really booked up especially on weekends. So the way the membership works is you pay a set price monthly and that entitles you to X amount of hours per month to either use for a massage or facial sessions. You're able to "roll over" time to accumulate for a longer session. Last holiday season I knew I wouldn't be able to get time in for my sessions so I was able to freeze my account. Meaning, no payments for a certain period of time but also no sessions until the account is unfrozen. So if for any reason you're not able to make payments or make the sessions that's always an option. I do believe they have a first time rate, and I've also been able to gift my hours to someone else that's not a member but with an extra $10 fee or something like that. Overall, I highly suggest checking Massage Envy Kapolei out if you're looking for a massage or facial. Be aware that if you like a certain type of massage (deep tissue, lomi, shiatsu, Swedish, etc...) let them know beforehand that way they can place you with the right therapist. read more

I filled out the forms and waited 20 minutes with no one checking on me so I returned to the Receptionist. Her attitude was great your done and I'm like I've been done I've been waiting on you. Argh! I've been going to Shauna for massages for awhile. The best part about going to the same person is they know your what your body needs. This has proved beneficial to me. Today I added a half hour stretching which began prior to the hour massage. It great to have someone that can help you to stretch sometimes...otherwise I may not be able to reach those stretches myself. They do suggest ways to make the massage more memorable. Been trying for a hot minute to get a massage in online, but all 3 locations on island were pretty busy and filled up. I finally was able to get a massage with Shaun. It was my first time being massaged at this location and it was interesting to see the major changes in the covid measures and how the team was all very well versed in it. I still received a warm welcome from the front desk and was promptly seen by my therapist. I'll look to see the other available therapists moving forward just to see which seems to be best for my needs, seeing as I have an injured shoulder, but they all seem to be good and know what they're doing. My husband and I were members for years without any problems. But because of our December 2020 with a different practitioner, that was the beginning of unprofessional behavior and now after my April 2021 massage experience, this is the end. December 2020, this new practitioner told me he was retired military. I reported my husband was also. That's when the massage went down hill. He started bashing our president! I was there for a massage to address my fibromyalgia, not listen to his unprofessional and ungrateful reaction to free educational benefits. He said he used his GI Bill for Massage training. I told my husband never again with that unprofessional person. Then during my monthly massage with the regular practitioner April 13, 2021, she said she wasn't going to get a Covid vaccine because she didn't belief the number of deaths were true....on and on she continued with her opinionated drag. I was able to change the subject with comments on the message. If that wasn't enough, she then asked how her pregnant single daughter could get free diapers. I'm a retired Social Worker. I quickly told her, the daughter's government Case Worker could help her. I was exhausted and stressed after the message. I told my husband Massage Envy was a total no go! I can't be in a small room with someone who doesn't follow health safety guidelines. I honored COVID-19 precautions. My pre-existing conditions with knowledge of the importance of science and facts, I respect the precautions. After Two days, I called the Kapolei office and cancelled the May 2020 appointment. I explained I would not be in a small room with a non-vaccinated person. I asked that only a vaccinated practitioner be scheduled. She said because of HIPA, they don't ask questions about vaccines. I told her that as a Social Worker, I knew about HIPA. I suggested that they could have a list of those with vaccines volunteer for duty for those of us requiring safety in the massage room. After much discussion, I asked for a manager to which she ultimately said they would get back later if not that day, then the next. This was April 15, 2021 and never a call back. I called back after the first week in May to be sure the May appointment was canceled. Good thing, I again cancelled. Then asked my husband to make sure our credit card was not charged. Massage Envy Kapolei had charged on April 20, 2021 AFTER I had cancelled!!! We have tried leaving messages at Corporate offices in Arizona, both email and phone numerous times. Every time, they didn't respond, I called and emailed again. Their unprofessional and rude behavior only motivated me more! A form letter via email was a bush off. That's when our credit card info came to light. Nowadays, trust No One with a corporate office! Make a schedule and check each month. After giving the date of cancellation, our card was refunded. We're working on more Billings and cancellations. The tireless keep asking. To put honesty back in the financial system today, we must be vigilant. I have excessive amount of hours collected over time some are which are from COVID and transferred from my daughter (which I paid for if they look at the credit card on file) as she moved. I lost my wallet so I have no credit card on file but I have over 40+ paid hours to use.thats over $2k and they now won't let me access services cause I don't have a card in file. REALLY why would I walk away from $2k of services. Everyone knows to replace a debit card or credit card can take a few days or more to get. I AM ABSOLUTELY DISAPPOINTED IN THEIR DECISION TO DENY ME the opportunity to access services when heck - I look at you owe - LOL I am now going to start giving away my sessions and leave Massage Envy because of the way this was handled - just unacceptable! . My original intent was a massage to help with my injury from a workout. What happened is an amazing experience the receptionist asked why I was coming in and paired me with a massage therapist that specializes in medical therapy. The therapist is Royce he asked me questions and basically talked to me through the session and gave me pointers on stretching and ideas to help in the recovery of my injury. And he suggested that I drink like at least a gallon a day of water to help remove toxins and since I was elevating my workout sessions that I need at least to come in twice a month to help with those tight muscles. After the first 60 minute session my aching muscles subsided and I felt so much better and it helped in the chiropractor ailment the following day. I knew I found someone knowledgeable and able to get tight muscles loose and make myself relax more. I made a 90 minute session a couple of weeks later and well let me just say it was so worth it! I came out so relaxed that it showed the next day. Some may think massages are too expensive and not worth it but think about it you are investing in YOU. Today i went for a massage Massage Envy Kapolei and i was very disappointed. Since they were closed for several months due to the pandemic, i have acrrued 2 hours "banked", basically paid 2 months membership. I have stopped all further payments to process. The girl at the desk told me if i wanted my massage today i would need to bring my membership to "current" status. I told her it is current in my eyes because you were closed for several months and kept taking my money. Her asst. Manager eventually allowed me to use my banked hours without additional payments. So then i got my massage... If i wanted a back rub or my head massage i would have asked my girls and paid them the money. So I did my first micro infusion facial and added on the high frequency treatment with aesthetician Demi... all I can say is amazing! I've been getting facials here for about a year now and this was the first time getting this treatment. I would definitely recommend it if you're on the fence. This treatment is basically cleaning out your pores and removing that dead layer of skin while infusing the serum treatment your skin needs. In my case, we used Vitamin C since she saw a little pigmentation issues and some dryness. I'm definitely going to add this into my routine on a regular basis. Most of their therapists ask the obligatory "do you have any areas that are bothering you?", then proceed to go with what seemed like their normal generic routine. Until I found Kim. She actually paid attention and I got great massages from her! 3. Torn, because of my recent discovery of Kim, I decided to cancel my membership. I called to cancel a few days prior to my auto renewal. I was still charged for the following month. While I was more than willing to leave :30 on the books, I now have 1:30 that will go unused. Scheduled an early morning prenatal massage at 40 weeks pregnant which I think had helped to kickstart labor later that night!

I took my husband on a surprise date to get a 60 minute couples massage and facial. This was our first time visiting. Our massages were good. I can't remember their names but make sure to vocalize if they aren't using enough pressure. The woman doing my husband checked in ever so often to make sure his pressure was good. The man doing mine did not and I wish he would've. Our facials were awesome. Definitely recommend it. The only thing I do not like is how they try to push you into a membership and buying their products. They talk you through the products they use while doing the facial and have them displayed in the lobby. I think that's enough advertising. As far as the membership goes I think a sign would be enough. It kindve just ruins the mood. You go in to have a relaxing experience and when I was checking out the lady with short hair was just kept going on and on expecting me to purchase a membership after I just paid $300. When I said no she just awkwardly stared at me and made me feel uncomfortable. So other than the lady who checked us in and out we had a good experience. Love the Kapolei location! I recently visited with two friends. We were excited to hear the Kapolei location offers Red LED light stimulation therapy & Vibroacoustic Massage sessions. We collectively tried both of these treatments plus got massages too. It was a wonderful experience. I'm from the mainland and our ME does not have these treatments. I moved off island and there are NO locations on the island I moved to. The times that I was back on Oahu, of course, they didn't have appointments available. Can you see how fast 60 days would pass?! Needless to say, bottom line... I DIDN'T GET WHAT I PAID FOR AND SERVICES WERE NOT RENDERED! Even if it was a membership, the least they could have done was given me half of what I've already paid for. We tell ourselves it's too expensive and we don't need it but we do! Ever since then, I've been going there for 2 years. I've been working for 29 years and my body has some aches and tightness that needs some attention. When you sigh up you get a price break and that really helps. Facility is clean, front staff is professional, massage therapists are professional, courteous, kind. & nice. They listen to your needs to formulate a customized experience. Four stars for the following reasons; 1. No outside products. If I wanted to add oils to my massage I have to buy their products as an add-on service. 2. Their monthly subscription policy I feel is a rip off. For example, my spouse had over six hours banked because he didn't use the hour every month. I had accumulated five hours. Our credit card number changed and we forgot to report new the information. They called stating they can freeze the accounts if there was a certain amount of hours banked & charge $10 a month until we are ready to use our hours. To unfreeze the account we would have to make a full month's subscription payment. I don't agree with it but I get it. Of course, we kept it frozen for a month paid the $10 on each account then paid for the subscription the following month to unfreeze it. But we haven't gone back yet due to our schedule. We're just paying the monthly subscription cost and banking the hours. Hopefully, we will get to use it soon. read more
