I would honestly give my experience between 4.5 - 4.7. I scheduled a deep tissue massage and finding an opening was very easy. My massage therapist was friendly and mindful of an area I had concerns about. Checking with me multiple times so as not to hurt me. The pressure and techniques she used were really good. The only knock I would say is that the downstairs rooms have an open ceiling and that made it easy to hear other therapists and their clients. I was recommended to come here from my coworker so I took my boyfriend here for his birthday! We don't get massages often and this would be our 2nd massage ever. For one, I really appreciated that the location was located on the west side and there is ample parking. I booked through their website on a Wednesday and was able to find availability for Saturday! It was easy to find with a big clear sign of which building it was in. When we got there, we rang the doorbell and was welcomed in. I booked a 60 minute combination couples massage. I had Paula and my boyfriend had Nat, from the get-go Paula asked my level of intensity, where to focus on, and if I wanted her to walk on my back. I've never had anyone walk on my back before so I thought I'd give it a shot! My boyfriend opted not have his back walked on and I chose medium intensity. Paula is so good! I let her know I wanted my shoulder/neck and lower back to be focused on and she did exactly that! I have a feeling that she felt all of my knots as she was going to she adjusted accordingly. I also really like that she stretched my legs and my back. Very professional! From my one other massage experience, I highly recommend going here. They also have a stamp card! Very worth the price. I recieved a 90 minute massage gift certificate for my birthday and was excited to when I got to use it. I scheduled online in the morning for a 11:30am appointment. Called at 11:27am to let them know that I got a little lost but should be there in 5 minutes. The woman who answered said "no worries, take your time". I arrived at 11:35am. Walked into the front door and went up the stairs, was told to go down stairs and I was met by a man with long hair. He showed me into a room and said that they might not be able to accommodate my 90 minute massage because the rooms were full and asked me if I was ok to just do 60 mins. I was so shock and a little irritated, but politely said that I scheduled for a 90 minute massage and that's what I would like to get. 5 minutes later, a woman named Koko came to the room and told me that she would be doing my massage and it would be 90 minutes. I was a little thrown off at what happened but just wanted to get the massage done.... Koko was amazing! She was consistent with technique and pressure, always checking if the pressure was right. I fell into a deep sleep and felt refreshed after my massage. Thanked her and tipped her cash. Went back upstairs to pay for the massage with the gift certificate. Another man helped and seemed a little thrown off that I had a gift certificate. Again I wasn't sure what happened in this situation either. Booked with Royal massage through Yelp and the response time was really quick (less than 10mins). Fairly easy process, I was able to book for my desired time the night before! Street parking was a little tricky for my 10:15am appointment but I think it's because there's some sort of construction going on in the area. I had to go around twice until I found a decent spot for my SUV. I used Waze to gps this place and it brought me right to it with no issues. There are also signs in front of the business. When arriving, I was greeted by a receptionist and was brought to the room I was getting my massage. This place is fairly clean and felt relaxing. I had Paula as my masseuse and she was great. She made sure she was putting enough pressure and always made sure I felt comfortable. I left feeling 10x better than when I came in. 10/10 recommend this place and I can't wait to go back! I booked a 90 minute combination massage and a 70 minute scalp massage. The aromatherapy in the rooms smelled amazing, they were clean and organized. I immediately felt warm, cozy and relaxed. My masseuse, Soda was fantastic!! I had deep knots in my shoulders and lower back pain with tension. She listened to my concerns and made some recommendations. She used the right amount of pressure and even cracked my back. I left feeling relaxed and happy. Price was great too! It really depends on who you get, I've been here about 6 times and the standout massages have been from Paola and a gentleman with long hair (didn't catch his name..) The other 3 appointments with the other masseuses were subpar and not memorable. Paola, is AMAZING, she will keep up the same intensity for the whole duration. I usually get 90 min or 2 hour massages and it is worth it with Paola. She works HARD, you will feel it for days after your appointment. She will dig into each and every knot she finds and give them the time and attention. She asks for your areas of concern and really work those areas. You can tell she's very experienced and has integrity in her services. My partner didn't receive the same attention. He was asked in his pressure and areas but the masseuse kinda just did whatever she wanted. He describes it as light rubbing. I've also received massages like this before.. I guess you just need to request for Paola or a masseuse that can provide the pressure you want. The facility is clean, rooms always have fresh sheets and bathrooms are sanitary! Advocate for yourself early on and tell them what pressure you want and areas of concern. Speak up if you aren't getting the pressure you pay for, if not you'll just regret it afterwards. You'll just feel like you wasted your money to get lightly rubbed. read more

I was in desperate need of a massage. I went in their website and was able to book an appointment online. There were many available spots for the following day. When I arrived, I had to ring the doorbell for entry. I was greeted right away by a worker and escorted to the lobby upstairs. The waiting area is very well kept and neat. In comparison to Magnolia's, I really enjoyed the aesthetic of Royal Thai instead. I was taken down to my room and serviced promptly. Yu was my masseuse yesterday and she has very strong hands and elbows. I had the Neck, Shoulder and Foot massage for 90 mins. Yu not only found my neck and shoulder kinks but also followed other connected trigger points on my body. She checked with me often on the pressure applied. It was a truly relaxing experience that flew by too fast. Tempted to do 2 hours next time! Street parking was tight but was able to park in one of their reserved stalls. So convenient! I love how this small business is intimately tucked into the neighborhood. What a great concept that is usually only found in older neighborhoods. I plan to be back very soon! Disappointed Do not get a massage from Becky, she is very unprofessional and gave me bad service on purpose. I'm shocked about how I was treated today from her and I come here regularly for the past year and a half. The ladies kept talking to each other during our couples massage making it hard to relax. My husband understands Thai and Becky was talking about how long our massage was and what errands she needs to run. Becky had tiny cold hands, she definitely did not understand where to massage/touch the body or how to stretch the body. This lady has never had a massage...she literally just rubbed oil all over my body with very little pressure, it felt like she was just going through the motions. I noticed Becky purposely gave me crap service and tried physically hurting me after I complained about needing better massage and pressure from her, or maybe she was hopping I would walk out so she can leave early to run errands since it was XMas Eve. She began chopping/punching as hard as she could the back of my arms, hyperextended my neck and back as far as she could, had long nails and dug them into my scalp hard, and she put a lot of smelly liquid in my hair for the scalp massage so my hair was soaked when I walked out. The other masseuse was so nice to try to help me get it out after the service. When I confronted Becky she had attitude and told me I should have just stopped the massage, she was not apologetic and did not seem to care one bit. The other massage people I've had here have been awesome, professional, and very attentive. Not confident in going back here or recommending this place like I did in the past unless Becky is replaced. They didn't let me pay for the massage because I was not satisfied and I appreciate how the owner reached out to me immediately. read more

SHORT STORY: For these reasons, I won't be returning: 1. The masseuse disregarded my preferences and insisted on a massage technique I wasn't comfortable with. 2. I felt cheated by the attempt to overcharge me for the massage. 3. Her entitled attitude toward tipping, which is optional, was off-putting. LONG STORY: I can't help but feel disappointed by my experience. I had a massage on Saturday evening, 12/14/24, at 6:30 PM. While the masseuse seemed friendly, there were red flags early on. She didn't ask what type of massage I wanted but instead asked where I'd like her to focus on, if I was okay with back-cracking, and stepping on me. I informed her I don't prefer the stepping technique, but she insisted that it was the only way to apply deeper pressure, okay fine. As a result, 70% of the massage involved her stepping on my back, which I didn't want. However, the most unpleasant and shocking part of the experience was during the payment. Their website advertises a December promotional rate of $75 for a 60-minute massage if paid in cash. When I got to the counter and said I'd pay in cash, she told me it was $80. I pointed out the promotion, and she reluctantly agreed to honor it. Despite feeling suspicious of her attempting to overcharge me, I gave her $85 ($75 for the massage and $10 as a tip), but she responded with a dissatisfied look and commented that "usually, people tip $15-$20." I find her comment wild since tip is optional in the first place. As a result of feeling pressured ending up giving her a total of $100 ($75 for the massage, $25 for the tip yeah I know, that's my fault). read more

We arrived, and they didn't know what I scheduled through the phone. The massage was great, but we had a problem with one of the employees. He was a male who did the massage on my boyfriend, he was checking us out, after we finished the massage he asked to leave us a tip which we did. He was starting to lose his temper, we tipped, then he got really offended with the amount given. He demanded to tip more. "TIP MORE, YOU SAID THE MASSAGE WAS GOOD RIGHT," he said. I don't know why he was talking to me like that when he wasn't the one who did the service on me. It was my boyfriend who was giving him all the compliments upon the service smh. Takes advantage of seniors I made a reservation for a 90 massage and a 30 minute body scrub. I showed up right on time for my reservation. They made we wait 15 minutes for my therapist to show up. I got an okay body Scrub and then got a 30 minute massage. They said my time was up. I said that went quick. Got dressed and went to pay my bill and realized I had only been there an hour. Was upset because they charged for the full two hours and would not back off. Finally after complaining for ten minutes - they kept saying their mistake but they still wanted to be paid for the two hours.. I complained about the shorten time and how long they made me wait. I finally, left paying for the 1.5 hours. Will not return. It seems their motto is the customer is always wrong. read more

I didn't have the best experience. I waited outside for 10 minutes before someone let me in. The room was clean and the masseuse was nice. But during the massage a lady come in a few times to talk to the masseuse. The washer was running and it was very loud in the room I was in. Just wasn't able to relax because of those two things. Also upstairs for checkout, the fan had a coating to dust on it. The bathroom and room seemed clean but that fan was not! You get a discount for cash, but I was told I wouldn't get a receipt if I paid cash. So if you have a HSA and need a receipt, you'll have to use your card. read more
