I have been to this location around 10 years. Front desk and Management have gone through waves of level of professionalism and customer service. My last few experiences there have all been very good. I agree with some the other comments about a discrepancy in the number of credits you have based upon who you ask as I have experienced the same thing. I'm currently on my 3rd attempt to transfer my membership there as my primary site so we shall see if it actually gets done this time. The 2nd attempt was through the Manager at least 6 months ago and at my last visit they asked me if I wanted to transfer my membership there. ‍ They've recently remodeled some of the inside and it is nice. It has always appeared clean to me. I've recently switched to scheduling my appts online which has been easy and no hiccups so far. Finding the right massage therapist is highly personal to your preference but the staff will try to help guide you through it. You may have to try a few before finding your person(s). 90min massages are the way to go! Like many people, I suspect I haven't been back to Massage Envy since the big scandal of 2017, so I was very impressed when I went yesterday and found the ways in which the brand had transformed itself. With personalized and professional check in forms, care acknowledgements and even panic buttons in the rooms/on the tables. Often times, scandal kills a brand, but Massage Envy listened and improved and turned it around. Well done. My massage was also remarkably great as was the front desk staff. My experience with massages for the past 11 years I would go every 6 weeks. 1 massage was a relaxation the next would be deep tissue so I feel I'm experienced enough to comment The good: Taylor, the massage therapist was nice and used very good pressure for a relaxation massage The not so great: 1) The room was freezing 2) It's the first time the lotion they used was not heated so it was very cold every time she sprayed it on her hands and touched me 3) In the 100+ massages I've had they've never massaged my glutes through a blanket 4) these areas that never got touched on this massage: the front of my legs, my head, my face, my chest Overall it was just meh Also, just an FYI The 60 minute massage is actually 50 minutes (they deduct 5 minutes to undress and 5 minutes to redress) read more

DO NOT COME HERE!!!! This Massage Envy is one of the most unprofessional locations I have ever been to. I went in for a scheduled massage and then after a facial. Before my services I told the girl at the counter to run my card first because it was an HSA card and I wanted to be sure they take it. Which I already knew they did because I've used my HSA card previously at the Dallas location. Anyway the girl was having trouble saying it wasn't going through, she kept asking for a pin. I said I do t have a pin and you don't need one it's an HSA. Anyways I called my card provider just to be sure everything on their end was fine and yes sure enough as I told the girl it was active and had funds on it. Anyway I left because well if she could run my card or know how, how was I going to pay for these services as this was what i was going to use. That same weekend I scheduled an appointment at the Massage Envy at the Arlington location on Collins. Once again I walked in and told the girl, this is an HSA card. This time tho I had my pin just in case they needed it. The girl ran it credit it ran it debit, did it manual. She did everything she could to try and run my card (before services) so then when she didn't know what else to do she actually went over and beyond to call HER manager on her managers off day to see why it wasn't going through. The manager then told her that there was a certain way an HSA card had to be run in the system and only she (the manager) could do so. So she had me give my card info and ran my card while she was wherever she was on her work laptop. So unlike the girl at the Mansfield location this receptionist and manager April, I believe her name was (at the Arlington location)did everything they could to make sure they got my business. Difference to the Mansfield location all she kept saying was "declined" didn't even bother to ask for a manager or see why my HSA wasn't going through. Anyway a week later I notice two $60 charges on my HSA statement for the Mansfield location. So of course I call, and the manager there who I must say was very rude and Insensitive to the situation said "oh yeah you got charged a cancellation fee" well isn't that funny!?. Your receptionist couldn't or didn't know how to charge my HSA card for my services but y'all sure did know how to charge a cancellation fee!!!?? HOW DOES THIS MAKE SENSE!!!?? It doesn't! The manager then said she was going to review the video and listen to the conversation and call me back, she never did. I had to call back two times after. Second time I called I got her again. And very rudely she said "I listened to the call and you said it was a pay over time card" I never once said that, whyyy would I say that!?? She was just making up lies in order to not take accountability for her employees mistake and to try and justify charging me those cancellation fees. My intentions where never to not get my services, I wanted my massage and facial! They just didn't know what they where doing!! This location needs to educate their receptionist as to how to charge a HSA card!! (I'm sure it's not rocket science). And actually go above and beyond to help their customers just like the Collins location in Arlington! I even went as far as getting a membership with that location. Stay away!!! Once you sign up for monthly massages... There is NO way out. It's difficult to transfer any unused massages ... especially during COVID-19 to a member. Our work schedules don't align with their hours and it's difficult to get an appointment. I wish we would have never signed up for this plan. The front desk people talk about the clients.... I have subscribed to ME 2x and I have confirmed that it's mgmt that's the problem. No customer service skills or concept of business. The workers are friendly and mostly new, but somewhat knowledgeable. The program drafts your fee monthly. Both times I fell behind and my credits for services stacked up. You don't have access to your service activity and have to rely on mgmt to assist. Everytime I ask how many credits I have, I get a different#. You will be put on a call back log and no call back. I had to finally go up there and get information before deadline and still no answers and deadline moved up 2 weeks...Moved up 2 wks not extended to accommodate. smh read more

I was looking for a place to get monthly massages, and a friend told me about massage envy. I was told the Mansfield location was the best and I was in good hands. I don't remember the aestheticians name, i think it's Veronica, but I will never forget the experience. I went there on Thursday and I told her that I had a bridal shower to go to that weekend in Houston. I also explained to her that I had breakouts on my check and she suggested a chemical mask or something like that. After extractions she out the chemical on both cheeks and left the room. My skin was burning but I couldn't do anything because she was no where to be found. When she finally got back she took off the mask and put something else on and said this might sting a little, it's burned like h***. After the facial the people at the front desk said omg your face looks so good (I think this is something they have to say because I was told this at another location as well). Anyways when I got in the car I noticed something was right and I was right. My face was burned really bad. Even when I got home my face hurt really bad. I thought that it would clear up by the weekend but it didn't and I had to go to Houston and the bridal shower with a huge burn on the cheek. In Houston I called massage envy and I spoke to the manager at first and then she put me on the phone with Veronica and I explained what I was going through, and she told me with the chemical mask that there was a possibility of burning. I was shocked because she didn't mentioned this before to me because I wouldn't have gotten it knowing I had an event. I was very upset, she told me to keep putting ointment on my face and it should get better. After I hung up with her I got a call back from massage envy, it was the manager, i thought she was calling to apologize for what happened, but no she asked me my credit card information to continue my membership. I was like I will no longer need a membership, thank you. More stuff happened but I feel like this review is too long. At the end of the day customer service was horrible and I never went back. I loved my massage from Joel that is not the issue I have with this company. It seems like you could be homeless on the street and they still wouldn't help you cancel your membership during the initial period of A YEAR. I lost my job and have kids to provide for so they're my priority. It's been MONTHS and I did well with savings and keeping my obligations, now that its been so long, I can't and the only option they have is to freeze the account for a few months. This is absolute nonsense. If a client can prove a severe hardship, that should be considered. read more

I've had a couple of massages and one facial. The entire staff is friendly and helpful. They're not too pushy and the staff really care about what you want to get from their services. I've been a member for several years in Louisiana and my experiences have been good and bad. I stumbled on this location as a referral from another location when my therapist was not available. I went one time, loved it and been going every since. The office staff was really nice and greeted me with such pleasant and warm attitudes. Kevin is simply amazing and works extremely well. I was having problems my lower back and almost beyond walking. He worked every knot out of my muscles until I am able to go back to the gym and now I can walk without pain. First, let me start by saying we WERE members of the Massage Envy club for a year. When they started calling to reschedule appointments and having to switching our therapists because they were no longer with the company, we decided NOT to renew our membership. I recently pinched a nerve in my shoulder so decided to give them one more chance, before looking for a new place. I am a very flexible person so when Massage Envy called and needed to change one of the therapists for our couples massage to someone else, it was no big deal. When they called me at 9:15 this morning to reschedule our 12:00 session because they sent the other theripst home, I was a bit frustrated but understood because the therapist was ill. Then, after looking at the schedule I was told they didnt have another couples session available today. At this point, I will NEVER use Massage Envy again. And now I feel I am going to have to send out apologies to my friends that I bought gift cards for. I would highly suggest you make Massage Envy your last resort. read more

I had a wonderful 90 minute deep tissue massage here. I had hot/cold therapy and aromatherapy. When I walked on, I could barely lift my arms. Afterwards, I felt wonderful and so much better. Wish I could give 0 stars for this location. I have been a member for several years and received one of the worst massages ever. The therapist spent more time trying to move her stool around so she could sit the entire time for a deep tissue massage. Really??? After being petted for for 90 minutes, it was finally over. Called and talked to manager after the massage, she apologized and offered a enhancement the next time I come in. That's it?? I filled out the survey that came to my email and asked to be contacted. No response. They called from the Mansfield location saying I had a 60 minute session available and if I would like to book it. I explained to her what had happened at their location and she said a manager would be contacting ASAP. Well, that never happened either. I guess they no longer want my membership. This location is absolutely amazing & helpful. They're so sweet and go out of their way to help their customers. They went above & beyond to answer all the questions i have. I have a membership but only go a couple times a year so I have like 6 massages I haven't even used and will drive the extra 35 min to go to this location vs driving 5 mins to the Hulen location. I had the WORST experience at ((the massage envy off of Hulen)). The manager is Awful. The assistant was super helpful & sweet. My mom got me a massage as a gift well when i got done they talked me into a membership with them over a year ago using my HSA card. (I loved) but every once in a blue moon they will charge my moms card (which was never given for my membership she had just got me a massage as a gift.) Apparently they save all your cards and can charge them if your payment doesn't go through. Which I thought was against policy considering I'm a manager and would be fired if I did that. I politely called and asked she returned it to my moms card because her card should have never been charged in the first place. If she needed to suspend my account and not let me come in until it was paid in full I totally understood but my mom wanted her 65 dollars back. (My HSA card is through my company and occasionally to many things come out at once and it will decline. BUT that does not mean start charging other cards that are not mine) She refused and said I may not care if my account is suspended but the company does and she will not return my moms money until I paid in full...... Mansfield WAS SO HELPFUL and so sweet when I called. They can only help me so much considering they don't have full access to my account. read more

Just a bed and some hooks on the wall to hang my clothes. Lastly, my fiancée gave me a gift card to get the massage which I presented when I got there and they still charged my card for the massage. I requested an appointment on the massage envy website for this location. The next day I was contacted and someone helped me book a two hour Swedish massage with a few additional services. I have never visited a Massage Envy before, but the price seemed very reasonable, around $120 before taxes and tip. I was called in advance to confirm the appointment scheduled for today at 2:30 and was told to arrive 15 minutes early for paperwork. I arrived about 2:10 and was greeted by a very nice young lady at the front desk. After I completed the paperwork, she reviewed my responses with me, clarifying where necessary and making recommendations for services she thought would be beneficial, which I appreciated. Afterward, I was brought back to the spa area. I was shown the couples massage room, used the restroom and was then led to the tranquility room to wait. A man came in after me to wait for his appointment. He was taken back by his massage therapist rather quickly. I started to worry about 2:45, 15 minutes after my session was scheduled to start, and finally at 2:50, I went back to the front desk and asked, "Is everything okay?" The same young lady quickly realized somehow I was not checked in and went to get the manager. I was asked to wait back in the tranquility room. At 3:00, thirty minutes after my appointment time, a woman walked in and called my name. She introduced herself as Rita and then we walked back to a room. She turned her back to me as I awkwardly paced around the room, not sure if I should set my belongings down or where I should be. She asked, back still turned to me, "What brought you in today?" I began to explain what I was experiencing. She turned to me, did not acknowledge a word I said about my reason for visit and said, "Did they explain what happened?" I told her that I was told I wasn't checked in properly. And she said, "That's right." And just looked at me. I said, "Well, should I cancel?" She said, "You don't have to. Did they tell you what they're going to do?" I have no idea who they are and I wasn't told anything, and had simply assumed my session would start late due to their error, I would still be accommodated for the scheduled service. She said unapologetically, "The problem is I have another client scheduled after you so we will just end at the original time." It was odd to me she knew about her next appointment but not about mine. Perhaps it's just me, but if I'm paying for something, I expect the full value. I informed her it was not my error. She told me it was not her fault either. At that point I felt very uncomfortable with this person and was certainly not going to let her touch me! I told her I was just going to leave and walked out of the room and didn't even look at her. She followed after me, calling my name, very embarrassing, everyone in the tranquility room stared and probably felt very untranquil. The same nice young lady from the front desk asked me if everything was okay and I said no, I'm just going to leave. She went to get a manager and Rita came up to me and said that the managers could handle it and smiled at me. She seemed truly happy to not have her schedule interrupted. The manager, Ashley was very nice. She told me that Rita was informed that her next client would be contacted to reschedule and to complete my full session. Rita made the decision to be insubordinate to her manager, cruel and rude to me and very unprofessional. Do not schedule any service with her! She clearly does not care about other people, certainly not her manager or clients. Mistakes happen, the check in error was certainly forgivable and could have been handled well, as Ashley informed Rita to do for example. To the owners and management, Rita is a disgrace to your business. Do yourselves a favor and document this occasion, contact me if you need more details. Love this location! Everyone that I spoke with was extremely kind. But Skylar (a young lady who worked the front desk) was so sweet and professional. She walked around the desk to speak with me before and after my massage, it made me feel much more comfortable. I have had my days working as a front desk team member and she is definently someone you all should keep around! One last person is Mindy my massage therapist, she listened and addressed every single concern that I had. I'm not much of a talker during my massages, but I greatly appreciate her taking out the time to show me how to do a few quick and easy exercises. I stand on my feet all day and Mindy gave me great points on how to alleviate pain before and after my shifts at work. Mindy was great! She didn't talk too much, she made sure I felt comfortable, gave me an awesome massage, and she educated me. All great things that I appreciate. This happens month after month. my credit card expired and I have 2 prepaid massages that they will not let me use until I renew the credit card info.
