I asked for deep tissue. I was in extreme pain in my neck and shoulders, my therapist must not understand English, I had to show her and how hard I needed. She said OK. Did not happen, was more of a soft massage. Frustrating trying to explain and still walk out in pain. I went to a nail salon right after for a 20 min neck and shoulder massage. Much better and half the price. Make sure if you go, they understand English. read more

terrible customer service! I booked facials for my daughter and myself at the same time slot. I called the salon 2 weeks prior to make this appointment, then received a text confirming this appointment the day before. we arrive 15 mins early as requested then waited. my daughter was taken in and I continued to wait. after 10am I inquired about my facial and the manager told me she has no idea and what was going on. The employee assigned to me was not in the building then I was given some crazy excuse why I can't get my facial until 11am and still she is only the manger and does not know anything. she did not try to reschedule and needless to say I did not get my facial and do not plan to go back. To top it off she was calling clients with appointments for the next day telling them their message therapist quit. Yet again, another disappointment with this company. I came in with an open mind being it's a different location, and "Naples", but again left dissatisfied as ever. My apt was made by my husband as a surprise for my birthday, thinking this was where I usually go. They deceived him saying I had been there before, (only to other locations, never Naples) though I had not. He booked me a massage and facial. The massage was to be trigger point therapy. The woman who did my massage did not do trigger point, did not speak English, and sighed at me rudely when I asked for less pressure because she only did deep tissue the entire time! I was in tears, asking her to stop. She was 15 mins late getting me back, and no she did not make up the time. Which was a relief since I wished it to be over the entire time! She also tangled my hair in the bed and ripped it out to remove it. There was a chunk left behind in the bed, That I noticed when I was putting on my robe. I was then rushed out of the room, and told to wait in the lobby for the facial lady, who was not ready. I was undressed, in a robe, with men all around. I refused and was then told to wait in an unprepared room, so she could rush in her next client. I was never even offered water afterwards! Today I have bruises all over my back and arms. The manager did not care. I waited all day for her call, as I was told she would call at 10 am or soon after, but never called me. I had to call her, to tell her about my horrendous experience, with hopes no one else would have to endure what I did. The manager also assumed removing a $30 enhancer (that was extra) was enough compensation for a $200+ service. (She offered to have me back for another massage with someone else, but i would have to pay full price again!) The facial was okay, the woman who preformed this service was super nice! A+ for her. However it was a cleaning facial, that only involved heavy products on my face. Never suction or any removal of gunk. So I paid $100 for her to wash my face, very misleading!! All in all, it was by far my worst experience from this corrupt company. The customer service is severely lacking on the management side. You've lost a great customer over poor service and lack of respect! Shame shame!! read more

As a sweet gesture my boyfriend purchased us couples massages for Saturday at 10am. I received a phone call today and when I return they let me know that they had a scheduling mix up but now it was fine. I then confirmed that it was a COUPLES massage. They said yes but not in the COUPLES room. Instead they would be in SEPERATE rooms. My boyfriend so kindly had bought the price of the massage specifically for the massages he booked in the form of a gift card. Finding out that we no longer had a COUPLES massage, we visited the location to speak with the manager considering we apparently no longer had our correct reservation. Luckily for us (and I say this in the highest matter of sarcasm) the manager was a delight. Nothing was offered in compensation for the fact that we were double booked for the couples room and no longer had the opportunity to have our massages. No offer of refund on the gift card. Not even an IM SORRY. Just a "to answer your question. No you cannot have your money back"! The epitome of an awful experience. As a business manager myself I know how much damage a poor review can result in. In this instance my only wish is that I could leave more. read more

Word of advice for management: When someone works up the courage to walk out of a massage with 30 mins remaining, it's probably because they really didn't like it. So when they kindly explain and ask for a refund considering it was a gift from their gf, insisting they pay for the time they already used probably isn't the right response. Also, i'm pretty sure it's not in the employee handbook to then have the "customer service" rep rudely end with saying "ok, I guess i'll pay for it then" to get you to leave. I never had seen so many happy faces together in one place. When I walked in I was greeted promptly and introduced to my therapist Christina a lovely young lady and soft spoken. She walked me to my room, and then Christina came in and started to work her magic, next thing I know was out like a light. She was strong and applied the right amount of pleasure and identified all of my trouble spots. DO NOT a contract with any Massage Envy. It is difficult to get an appointment in a timely manner namely two weeks then as you build up these monthly massages that you can't get to, they have very restrictive rules if you would like to gift a massage to a friend or family. Do not sign a contract you will have it forever and not be able to get out of it! read more

I used to enjoy my monthly massage at Massage Envy, but my favourite therapist left. I've tried a couple of others but it's hard to get an available time with a specific person. There was a problem with billing for several months and, the last time I went, I was unpleasantly surprised to find out that I only had 30 mins left on my account. I emailed corporate telling them I wanted to cancel. They emailed me back and sent they sent it to the local franchisee etc. The local person had 48 hours to respond. This was on 5/16/19. I never heard from them. I emailed corporate back on 5/31/19 to tell them the local person never contacted me. Now corporate won't respond either. I'm very disappointed at how things have gone downhill. read more

The massage was lackluster. Didn't concentrate on 2 of the 3 areas that I requested. A 90 minute massage is actually 80 minutes because they give you 5 minutes to undress and 5 minutes to redress. They offered to massage me with a wand massager thing for awhile and I agreed. Only after the massage did I learn that it cost an extra $10 for it. I called around 4:30 on a Moment afternoon. I was able to get in at 5. I was immediately taken to lounge and then greeted by my therapist, Minelvis. I was visiting Naples for vacation and thought what better thing to do that get a massage. Minelvis was amazing! The perfect pressure and new technique when massaging using circulation motion. I have never been so insulted in my LIFE! I have been to Massage Envy 3 times. My first experience with Yenni was perfect. Unfortunately, she is very hard to get an appointment with. A co-worker suggested I try her therapist, Yulier, who was awful. He was way too hard and massaged areas I didn't want to be touched, despite my expressing this to him during our consultation. I was uncomfortable and bruised for 2 weeks afterwards, so I emailed the manager, who offered to comp me a massage with Yenni since I knew I liked her. A week or so later, she called to apologize and said she couldn't fit me into Yenni's schedule. Instead, she set me up with Lynn, who she said was very experienced. Lynn was in fact very nice and experienced, but for me, she did not apply enough pressure. Today, I called to sign up for a membership. I explained my past experiences to the receptionist in order to obtain some guidance, since they advertise being able to help place you with a therapist that's right for you. She suggested Angelique. I asked her how long Angelique worked there. She said 10 years. I said great, and booked my appointment. 20 minutes later I received a phone call from the manager, Chelsea, notifying me that she knows I just scheduled an appointment, but that they have decided to "part ways with my business". When I asked why, she claimed it was due to my excessive problems, and that she didn't feel they could meet my needs. I asked her what "problems" she was referring to, and reminded her that the only problem I had was with Yulier. She proceeded to tell me about my problems with both Yulier AND Lynn to which I replied that I never had a problem with Lynn - that Lynn just wasn't the right therapist for me. I said it didn't make sense that I would finally want to sign up for a membership if I was unhappy with the service there, and that I just need to find another therapist I like. She said she would rather not risk anymore issues. I'm still flabergasted, to say the least. This is by far the worst customer service I've ever experienced. read more

I had the worst experience in life I've been to over 30 massage places and you'd think this place would be great but it's not. Me and my husband came in for a couples massage at 4. Didn't start till 4:15 and ended at 4:50 i payed for a 60 minute session and obviously didn't get it. They told me i was tense in my back and to come back in two weeks, but i heard them say that to the other people that were in there before me, they say that to get money, because the second i said i didn't want to join the membership the attitude completely changed and they were rude to me. I have just returned from my massage and I must say I am very disappointed. I had a gift certificate for a 60 minute massage. I made my appointment online and arrived 15 minutes early for my 9 AM appointment. I was escorted into the massage room around 9:05 for consultation and massage started approximately at 9:10-9:13. Massage was good but ended at 9:50. 10 minutes early. I was charged $95 for a 60 minute massage when it is listed at $55! I did not say anything to the person at the desk since I thought I was incorrect on the price even tho the gift card was supposed to pay for the massage plus $20 tip... total of $75. My total was $115. I am very dissatisfied and disappointed by this practice. I emailed the above to massage envy to get an explanation... will update if I get a reply. read more

I need to YELP! Ok. So, I am home for a week here in Naples, and my mom and I decide to try out the Massage Envy location here in town. I currently live in San Diego, and have had wonderful experiences at the locations out on the west coast. We each had a 9 am appointment for a 90 minute massage. It was 8:55 and we were driving around the plaza trying to find the exact location in the huge shopping center. I call the location, and cheerfully ask where "exactly" in the plaza are they located. I'm looking for a landmark. The very abrupt greeting I received on the other end, who introduced themselves as the manager, said "Next to Publix." I said, "oh sure, thank you, but we are here facing the Publix, so where exactly on what end are you near, what is next to you?..." She again says "Next to Publix." This was also followed with a sigh of annoyance. The same moment that I realize my frustration, we delightfully find ourselves in front of the location (next to a Subway landmark!), I then thank her, hang up, and we walk in. My mother and I proceed to walk in with smiles on our faces, and the same "manager" greets us with "you must be x and x. Here, sit down and fill this out, your therapist will be with you as soon as your done." Meanwhile, there are 3 therapists, 2 desk clerks, and this manager, all congregating in the front lobby. She couldn't have been more abrasive. I felt as if I was going into the principles office, not a relaxing massage. BTW, no "good morning, glad you found us..." NOTHING! So, we fill out our paperwork, and the two therapists out of the same crowd that had been hovering in the lobby over us as we filled out our forms, proceed to herd us to our rooms. My mother had a greeting, but me, no. Not a "how are you?" Nothing. So bizarre. My mother was shuffled to her room, and I was directed to mine. My therapist guides me to my room and instructs the following in a very militant manor: "please disrobe to your comfort level, lay facing upward, and I will be in in a minute." Once again, how about a "hello." or, a, "are there any particular areas you would like me to focus on?", or "I see here on your paperwork that you would like me to only apply firm pressure..." How about some bedside manors!! ?? !! What if this was my first time getting a massage? I would be freaked! So, he proceeds. I finally begin to relax. I tell him, "do you mind focusing on x y z" He seemed annoyed. What is the conclusion? Here it is. 90 minute massage was fine. Any massage to me is heaven, and yes, the therapist did end up saying a few interactive words and did a lovely job. Yes, theraputic. So, my mother seemed to enjoy her experience, but did highly agree that our greeting and the unprofessionalism of the staff congregating in the lobby was definitely bazaar. One other observation. Out of the 2 or 3 locations I have been to, this is the only location that had all the bed sheets and blankets visible in a big plastic storage container at the front desk. Very tacky. Especially when I can't determine if they were clean or not. Do I still like Massage Envy? Absolutely. This location? Eeek! What's the deal with the abrasive, unprofessional, and eye sore towel bin funk? I do wish them the very best in success. Again, just my experience. Maybe it was a bad day for everybody? However, from a professional stand point when the customer drives your business, customer service and first impressions are imperative. read more

My experience was pleasant from the time I arrived at Massage Envy while greeted with welcoming words & wonderful smiles to the moment I left. The spa is very clean and the staff was friendly. I was scheduled for a 90 minute Facial with Esthetician, Ms. Vicki (taken on time). Let me tell you, I have had many facials in my life time, however I received the best one ever yesterday! Vicki is a wonderful educator on skin care. I left Massage Envy with healthier skin, very informed on the importance of protecting my skin from the sun here in FL, how to take care of my skin in order to look more youthful and so much more! The office was nice and clean however the massage was very disappointing. Went for a couples massage and my therapist had no technique and made it feel rushed. For most of the time she only massaged me with one hand. Only asked me once how the pressure was. I asked her to go lighter. After that she barely put any pressure. She basically sat in the chair and just rubbed lotion on my skin. She completely skipped massaging my left hand and never used a hot towel on me, my husband received a much better massage and the hot towel. The most annoying part was hearing her chew gum. Such a shame because I was really looking forward to this. This was by far the most disappointing massage. Next time I will book at Hand and Stone, a little pricey but always had a relaxing experience. read more

My membership back home needed updating so I had to call my home salon to update my card before I could get my massage. My home salon didnt answer call so I stood there dumbfounded as my massage time had started. I asked if I could just pay for my massage as a nonmember and they wouldn't let me. I left without getting thru to my home salon and no massage received! Who treats visitors that way? They docked my credits too since I didn't give a 24 hour notice on my cancellation. This Massage Envy has a habit of blaming the customer. Her statement is a complete falsehood, particularly since she was not there and had no first hand knowledge of the incident. As a manager,/owner she needs additional training to understand that in her position, in these types of circumstances, she should be accommodating the customer's concerns, not spreading falsehoods about incidents that she knew nothing about. I asked for a specific massage and got what they wanted to give me. I never addressed the masseur since it was not his fault! It was Massage Envy's fault. No customer service at this clinic...just a bunch of bullies. I have been a ME member for TWO years and I will try not to let this horrendous experience affect my membership.
