Worst experience ever! My wife and I have been going to Massage Envy for two years. We were visiting out kids near this location and decided to massages. We arrived on time and there were a few people in the lobby and only one person to check everyone in. We were waiting to be checked in when someone came out and motioned to my wife to come in. She said she hadn't been checked in yet and the therapist said it was ok. After I came out from my massage, I went to pay for my wife and the receptionist started to get agitated. Apparently the massage therapist took the wrong client and was schedule for a 90 minutes massage instead of the 60 minute massage my wife scheduled. They interrupted her massage to try to get clarification. My wife said she would do a 90 minute massage if that would help. They continued with the 60 minute massage. When I finished mine, I went to the front desk to pay and the receptionist started arguing and saying my wife taking the wrong spot. She got very rude and started arguing with my wife like it was our fault. When I said I was getting very upset, she said," That's OK. You can be upset." Again, she accused my wife of taking the wrong appointment and insisting that it was her fault. All the while blaming my wife for their own failures. The bottom line was that they weren't properly staffed (the manager - I assume - had to check me in), confused about their internal process of identifying which client they need to work with and check in, and clearly not trained in proper customer service. I've never been to any establishment where they blamed the customer like they blamed my wife who was absolutely not at fault for any of this. My daughter and I made appointments for 90 min massages at ME Rockwall. Originally, the appointments were for Wed, 7/8, but something came up and we had to change them to Monday, 7/6. The Monday appointments were confirmed Sunday, 7/5. Monday morning @ 8:24, I received the confirmation for Wednesday's massage, to which I replied that I wanted to reschedule. ME had replied @ 8:48, but I didn't see that until after we had arrived at our appointment. It's also irrelevant to Monday's events because it clearly was for a different day (I just wanted to relay the story in its entirety). We arrived at 8:55 for 9:00 appts. When we arrived, the front desk girl was on the phone cancelling someone else's appointment because a massage therapist called in sick. When we checked in, she said that I had cancelled my appointment referring to the text that I had received that morning. I said that was Wednesday's appointment I cancelled but that didn't matter because my massage therapist had called in sick. I couldn't believe a business would allow the customer to arrive instead of calling them in advance to give them this information, but it was her error that my Monday appointment was cancelled. Her error that she never acknowledged. I asked when the therapist called in sick and the girl replied "I don't see how that is relevant". I said it was and she looked at the phone and said "8:52". Seriously? This place allows their employees to call in EIGHT minutes before they have a client scheduled? She said my daughter could still be seen because her massage therapist was "here, healthy and expecting compensation". Really? We made appointments TOGETHER. I wanted my daughter to get her massage because the front desk girl said my daughter's credits would be taken even though we made appts together. I was offered a 90 minute facial, but I didn't want a facial, I wanted a massage. My daughter didn't want to have her massage because we had booked together. We left and we booked online with Firewheel at 12:30. Firewheel confirmed that Rockwall had taken her credits. Firewheel hooked us up and we are so appreciative!! If you're considering a massage at Rockwall, don't do it. Choose Firewheel! They showed that they cared and wanted us to have a wonderful experience!! I would expect an established business would have policies in place that require employees to give more notice when calling in. I would also expect that when services are booked together and those services cannot be completed together, the customer is not the one that pays the price. Don't get me wrong, I know things come up but the customer shouldn't lose anything in those instances. Also, you should hire a new front desk person. She lacks customer service skills. read more

I booked a massage for my husbands birthday for 11am. At 10:30 I called them to tell them he would be late. They assured me that it's ok, but however late he arrived would be cut out of his hour massage. Makes sense. My husband got there 25 minutes late. When we went to check in, the massage lady left for lunch and we were marked as a no show. No call, nothing. I understand that we were late, but they shouldn't have told us that it would be fine. I was going to reschedule and give a bigger tip for understanding but I guess now they just get no tip at all and lose a potential monthly customer. I've been a loyal client at Massage Envy and have seen Emmie for nearly a year, even before becoming a member. She's an exceptional therapist, and my sessions with her have always been positive. I've also supported the business by gifting Massage Envy gift cards to others during the holidays, so my connection to the brand goes beyond just routine visits. Unfortunately, my recent experience with Renee at the front desk left me disappointed in how both my appointment and membership were handled. I had a 4:30PM appointment scheduled for June 19th and called that morning to ask if I could reschedule due to an unexpected conflict. I acknowledged the 24-hour cancellation policy and apologized, but I hoped an exception might be made given that I wasn't canceling entirely, I simply wanted to move the appointment to a later date that week with the same therapist, who I confirmed had availability. I also mentioned that I've never canceled or rescheduled last minute before and have always shown up on time for every appointment. Renee was unwilling to offer any flexibility. The only option presented was that I wouldn't be charged for the appointment if it was filled before the scheduled time; an outcome I had no control over. She also claimed the appointment had been confirmed the day before, but I received no call or voicemail. When I asked for verification of the confirmation, I was told there was none and that nothing else could be done. When I expressed my frustration and explained that I was reconsidering my membership, Renee immediately handed me cancellation paperwork and said, "cancel if that's what you feel is right," without any attempt to understand or keep me as a client. The tone came across as dismissive and unprofessional. The lack of flexibility, paired with how casually my concerns were brushed off, didn't reflect the commitment I've shown as a reliable and respectful client. Because of this experience, and seeing similar feedback from others, I can no longer recommend or support this business. read more

I have been in terrible pain for several months due to degenerative and bulging disc issues. I started seeing Jessica Grace for massages a couple of months ago, and she has GREATLY helped my discomfort. She is a wonderful therapist and has done an amazing job helping me relieve pain. She listens to my concerns and focuses on where I need relief. I greatly appreciate how professional she is and how thorough she has been in helping me manage discomfort. Bad management at this location. The manager, Brittany, has consistently failed to respond to my messages and has been largely unavailable. When I was finally able to meet with her in person regarding my membership, she was extremely unprofessional and unkind. From the very beginning, there was an error with our memberships. My husband was incorrectly signed up for a one-year membership instead of the six-month agreement we had both requested. Since we signed up at the same time, we asked for both memberships to be canceled once the error was identified. It took a very long time for the office to complete this process. I had to constantly call to check on the status on the accounts. We were told that our credits would remain available until October 1, 2025. However, when I attempted to schedule an appointment, I was informed that my credits had already expired, while my husband's were still valid until the promised date. This is inconsistent and illogical, given that both memberships were canceled at the same time. During the week of September 22, 2025, I called multiple times attempting to reach the manager. I left messages with the staff, but she never returned my calls. The staff themselves were unsure about her available times. When I finally went in person on Saturday, I was able to speak with her, but the experience was deeply unpleasant and unprofessional. It is unfortunate, because the therapists at this location have been wonderful, yet the lack of professional management negatively impacts the overall experience. I hope that corporate follow ups on this matter, as this location would greatly benefit from improved leadership. read more

This was such an amazing experience. Charlotte was a fantastic masseuse, and handled firm and light pressures perfectly! She also did pressure point holds on my traps and that felt really relieving. My masseuse, Justin, was excellent. If I could rate him separately it would be 5 stars. However, I attempted to book online (advertised as $70 for a 50 minute session) and was getting error messages. So I called to schedule, they were great in getting me in quickly. Then at check out they rang me up at $125. I asked what the extra $55 was for, they told me because I didn't book online they could not apply the discount. Their website is false advertising and they did not tell me any different over the phone. THEN they wanted to upsell me the membership for $75/month so that I could get the massage at the $70 that was posted online.. Go down the street to a locally owned massage place, they only charge $105. Edit: I asked Manager Alicia where on the website it states the $125 price and the rules and conditions of the discount, she said it is not posted. She also stated that she agrees it was false advertising, then corrected her self later saying it was misleading. I do not recommend that anybody in my community do business with Massage Envy, Rockwall. I have been going there for 4 months now. First of all, they keep changing schedules because of the high turnover of employees there. Secondly, God forbid if you postpone or cancel your appointment, they will still charge you for non-rendered services. Yes, I read the fine print at signup, but it does not mean that they can abuse those policies... I have tried numerous times to get in touch with management about my account, and guess what, crickets. It has been a month since I've been calling them, and nobody has responded. Yet they continue to charge my card for unauthorized services on contractual grounds. I could not find them on BBB either--there are some very shady business practices. However, when I came back a month later for another 60 minute massage, I was told that 1.5 credits was taken out of my account for a 90 minute massage back in Nov., 2022. I called to see if I could get a massage for my neck/shoulders as they have been very sore for quite a while. It was suggested that I try a "stretch." Not knowing anything about it, I tried it out. The guy performing the stretch did a fine job. I'm sure he did what he was supposed to but what I ended up with was 20 minutes of, well, stretching. I feel like I could stretch myself with the exact same effect. I think they were just trying to fill a slot and make a sale. My neck & shoulders feel the exact same way. When I went to the register to pay, everyone at the counter (3 people) were there to complain. There was no manager on duty which I find strange for a Saturday. So I called and asked if they had a spot for a walk-in. They said they could fit me in at 2pm. (30 minutes later). I go to my car to leave and I have a flat. Obviously not going to fix the flat with the strained muscle in my back. So they seriously charged me $20 for "failing to show up for an appointment" ...on a walk-In I set 30 minutes before. Their explanation was that I wasted a therapists time slot...again...on something that had been "scheduled" for all of 30 minutes. When I received a text that my card had been charged (a card I had zero idea they had on file mind you...as I don't have a membership) they said here was nothing they could do. Your staff didn't ask for a name, email, or any any other particular method other than a phone number that is invalid. So I have concerns to how it's portrayed as could be confirmed? The simple instance that she had showed up for the appointment, was not helped, charged for the service that wasn't received, then having been lied to about a false confirmation from a invalid number is troubling at the least for your business model and ethical morals at the least. I was skeptical at first. A decent massage for $49 seemed impossible. But it's not. The difference here is that there are not a lot of frills, fancy scents or fluffy towels. What they do have is a really good massage. It is kind of like the Southwest Airlines of the massage business. The Rockwall location has excellent customer service, ample appointment times and one of the best therapists I have ever had. Ask for Craig. It is a membership arrangement but I like that because it reminds me to take out time each month for a massage. If you can't make it, the massage will carry over. Kind of like AT&T rollover minutes. The facility was clean and nice, although the rooms are small (but really- all you need is a table and enough room for someone to move around it). They do give 10 minutes to undress and another 10 to redress and that does come out of the time you pay for. The staff was pleasent enough, but I also got that gossipy vibe- and they REALLY push for you to become a member. I was gifted a hot stone massage (which i had never experienced) a few months ago. I filled out the paperwork and they focuced on the areas i indicated were bothering me. I don't think I would PURCHACE a hot stone massage (due to price), i wouldn't be opposed to getting another one! The weight and heat of the stones was surprisingly relaxing, but I could hear some sort of clanking around that TOTALLY threw off my vibe. It sounded like she was sharpening a sward or something. I'm so aggravated with this location right now!!!! Couple years ago we had a membership here, after multiple times of being canceled on the day of or day before because the therapist scheduled with us didn't show or called in, we finally canceled our membership. Fast forward about 2 years and we re-signed up. For the most part we haven't had many issues this time around until just lately. One of employees called me 5 days ago to let me know my therapist had quit. She told me she would get with me the next day. She didn't. So I called, she apologized said she would check the schedule again and call me back. She didn't. So I called again. Same thing, said she would call me the next day, claiming she could work me in on the same day as my original app just a later time, she didn't call. So I called back again today (at this point it's the 5th time I've had some sort of conversation with someone there) they can't get me in at all now. Asked to speak to a manager, there's not one there and they don't know when they'll be in. Amazes me how no one runs the place. No one can give me straight answers. This is how it all went a few years ago. I was really hoping with new management things would be better. Guess not. Are all Massage Envy's this way?? Wish we had better options, but it's so hard to find places that do massages on Sundays which is my husband's only day off. Going to give another location a shot and see if things are any better. One therapist was snorting, coughing, hacking, dropping stuff, lightly rubbing instead of actual massaging, loudly whispering to the other therapist and making annoyed and disgusted faces. The other person didn't listen to what I requested. I asked for only my scalp, shoulders and back to be done. Instead she did full body, less than 5 minutes of scalp, which was not a massage but a scratching of my scalp. I left with my headache still intact and back pain I did not have prior. I have to share about my horrible experience over the last 2 months with Massage Envy in Rockwall. First the therapist I was scheduled with decided go quit. While I understand staffing issues, I never received a call to work out new schedule. Next, I have an appointment that was confirmed for 90 minutes day of only to hear later that I will be cut short due to scheduling error. The district manager was so quick to try to cover situation but wouldn't listen to myself concerns until I became frustrated. I liked too mention I've been with Message Envy for 12 years and only made Rockwall home office several months ago. Rockwall Message Envy you need some serious help with customer service and could be a result of such high turnover. Your just lost two well tipping customers over your poor example of customer touch points. read more

I had a membership a few years back when I lived up near McKinney and it was always a great experience! I decided to sign myself and my partner up on memberships after moving to Rockwall. Let me tell you, this was a HUGE mistake! I've called several times in the last FOUR weeks trying to get appointments. I typically cant commit to appointments of any kind that are further out then about 2 days because of my work schedule. Every time I call, they only have facial appointments available. They offer no solutions, nor even try to give me a different date. Its always, "nope, sorry! We only have facials available." After reading the other reviews, it makes me wonder if they just don't have enough therapist at this location, or care for that matter. I've been told on two occasions to try the location in Fire Wheel. I signed up in RW, because that's what's convenient and I LIVE HERE! Rip off! After going to our Envy in California as a non member for one year and member for four years and never a problem. Because of this I joined when moving to Texas late last year and Had a great person in Chris doing my 90 minute massages for bad back and neck problems. I go once a month for 90 minutes and planned on being there for years like in California but I do not like being screwed over by their front desk. I have new appointment set up when leaving every month and normally except what date they give last week of the month. My last month was given as 20th and I stated that was earlier but took it. After that massage I find they charged me $68.00 as a early massage of which I didn't have any idea so after wasting 40 minutes on the phone talking to a door knob I mean the manager about it she made it clear that customer always wrong and they are right so I lose the money or get extra massage. I was going to write a review then but decided to let it go and when I asked when I could get out of the contract I was told Nov and I'm not about to let them scam me out of another five or six hundred dollars. This morning I spent 35 minutes driving to Rockwall just to have them tell me Chris is out injured so I thought they just booked me with someone else which would have been the smart move. No the lady tells me they have been calling me since the 20th of April about this massage and they didn't book me with anyone but I can book now for some other day. I told them no I am not going home and coming back for another scam deal they were pulling. Now I get some not sure fat guy or girl with ponytail telling me I can cancel if I feel they are screwing me over and making it clear that is exactly what I'm saying the person said they would remove me today but I'm out the scam $68.00 last month and the $65.00 already charged this month. Thought I would never feel Envy Massage would scam customers, pass the buck while screwing them over but this place does. Only reason for giving a two star is because Chris has been great! Today their reason for the problem was they have been calling since the 20th and it turns out they some how dropped my home phone number and telling me they don't have it on file funny since they have called me on it before so just sounds like the manager playing more games after our phone call. So these incompetent people canceled my appointment on the 20th but then charged me another $65.00 on the 22nd really shows how classless these scammers are. To show just how poor they are at their jobs they sent me a E-mail stating Chris hurt and they have canceled this month at the same time I was standing there talking to them 8:49 am in the office. Yet in six days they couldn't reach me is just total BS! Wish I had looked at the bad reviews on this place before joining! This particular Massage Envy is a joke. Most of the therapist they have on staff are lovely people who truly care about what they're doing. They care for the client's strife and most of the time offer an open ear to whatever has been causing all that stress. THAT being said: The second you walk in the door of this place, you WILL be discussed in nasty detail. Don't be fooled by the overly bright faces of the front desk. Now while a few of the girls are wonderful and do care about you as a client, you'll still be gossiped about. Your shoes. Hair. Clothes. Car. How you say the word "hello" All of it will be scrutinized and mocked. It won't be the first time you come in either, it's every time. The owner is even known to join in with the clinic administrator and the rest of the sales staff. It's pitiful and ridiculous. Maybe this place will be able to turn it around with honest, good natured people being added to their staff. Kacie, Megan, Tyson, Christi, and Jonathan are absolutely AMAZING. Horrible! The facility is nice and the check-in folks are friendly, but the therapists are awful!!! I've had a membership for another location for years and tried this location to see if I would receive better quality due to the location... the answer was a resounding NO. The therapists are loud, unsettling, don't listen, treating the session as their break time (eating candy and drinking water). Deep tissue means nothing if you ask them not to use elbows; it then becomes them simply apply lotion/oils and not even doing that in a manner that feels good. I am not sure what type of quality control this facility has, but I think that division was missed entirely. read more

Some of the massage therapists here are truly amazing. The problem is with the ownership, management and staff. Way too much turnover due to bad management. I believe that a very high percentage of members in Rockwall have terminated their memberships due to incompetence of staff. I am considering so doing. The simplest things like massage time reminders, something done by text at most places, cannot seem to get done as they switch from manual calling(which was a disaster as you just couldn't get the 20 year olds to do their job) to machine messaging which does not work according to Massage Envy. I have a massage envy membership and every time I have ever tried to book an appointment here at this location I can never get in. It doesn't matter if I book one to two months out. They never have any massage therapists working. I am not sure how this location is still in business. This literally has happened 8 of the 10 times I have tried to book an appointment. I used their services for over a year and found that I did not use my membership as often as I thought I might. I advised them that I wanted to cancel my membership, and I provided them a 20 day notice before the next draft was scheduled. They require a 10 day notice to "ensure" the drafts are stopped before the next scheduled date. I had them make me a copy of my cancellation notice that was dated on the 9th of the month. On the 3rd of the following month, they drafted my account. I called and they reversed the draft but never even apologized. They again "ensured" me they corrected the issue and again on the 3rd of this last month they drafted my account again and they again reversed the draft but never apologized and again stated they had resolved this issue. I have since notified my bank to block any additional drafts because I can not trust they will fix the issue on their end and they will never admit they made these mistakes. They act as if it is no big deal because they reverse the drafts and I'm only missing my money for a couple of days for their mistakes. Just attempt to miss an appointment without cancelling 24 hours in advance and they will charge you, have a draft not go through and they will charge you a fee. Seems to me they should pay the same amount they charge others when they continue to make the same mistakes. Their overall attitude is the problem. They spout the same lines each time they make the "mistake" and yet they continue to draft your bank account even after you cancel. BTW, I fulfilled my entire year contract before cancelling so there is absolutely no reason and no excuses for their bad business practices. I will never recommend them or use them again. read more

After having a membership with this location and having massages paid for that were not used, apparently the credit card that was on file had expired and so they state that they tried to contact me about this... they did not... only calls to schedule a massage. Now the manager states that I have forfeited $240 worth of paid for massages UNLESS I give them a credit card number and pay for an additional contract of massages to get those back. Very BAD business practice that they take your money and do not stand behind providing services that are already PAID FOR. I will never do business with this company again. I am sure that they have ripped off many other people in this way! There are other quality providers with a good business ethic that I will do business with in the the future, but NEVER any Massage Envy location. They get ZERO stars an should have MINUSES!! I have been a member here for over 10 years. The idea of a monthly massage at a decent price was very alluring for my husband and myself. It started out very good as the place was fairly new and the therapist were very good in the beginning. It has gotten horrible with the management, therapist and front desk employees changing over all the time. I will be cancelling my membership today due to lack of staffing. You call and get an appointment and almost every time as I am driving over I get a call that one of our therapist has gone home sick. The management there is very lacking, they promise you the moon but cannot deliver. Some of the therapist are very good but as soon as you find one you like they seem to move on. The front desk people are friendly and try to be helpful but it is impossible to get an appointment due to short staff concerning therapist. I believe this is one of those businesses that do not take care of their employees so there is no incentive to stay. Kelly M read more
