I don't know what to say. I understand that people can have a bad day, my family has bad days. But how are we getting threatened to have our membership cancelled because of one person? I have had a membership here for the last few years. One day I was scheduled at a different site, and when I got to my "appointment" Jenny, I was at the wrong place. I was upset, but I was just told that I should have paid attention. A few weeks later I was told that they needed a new card on file even though it's the same card they charge every month. What ever girl I was talking to didn't like my "tone". So she told me my membership would be cancelled. While I was upset there is no shot I was that rude. There was no yelling no cursing, and you're cancelling my membership? A month later BOOM massage envy charge on my account. I understand everyone has bad days, myself included. But someone here has an ego and is really taking it out on random people that she thinks "slighted" her. To massage envy- i really enjoy your services, and til this day im a member. This review is for ELLA and the front office: I've been going to Massage Envy for quite some time now. I initially started at the Sunnyvale location, then moved to Cupertino, and eventually returned to Sunnyvale. Over the years, I've had both excellent and not-so-great massage therapists. When the Cupertino location closed, I was transferred back to Sunnyvale. For a while, Cathy was my regular therapist. She was wonderful, but after she retired, I struggled to find another therapist who was the right fit. After taking a break due to a hectic work schedule, I decided to return to use some of my accrued sessions. That's when the front office recommended Ella -- and oh my gosh, I finally found the one! Ella is amazing. She's punctual, attentive, and really takes the time to listen to your concerns. She focuses on my pain points, and I leave each session feeling like a relaxed noodle in heaven. Her pressure is always just right -- effective but never painful. She's simply the best. I now book a 90-minute therapeutic massage with her every 2-3 weeks because my body feels incredibly relaxed afterward. I also want to give a shout-out to the front office team. They're all fantastic and make check-in and check-out smooth and easy. There's one staff member in particular who always makes me feel welcome and valued, but I can't recall her name at the moment (I promise I'll update this review when I do!). Jenny S.Z. is the BEST masseuse I've ever had. I had tried maybe 15 + different therapists over the years in the area, until I found her and have been loyal ever since! Like everyone in this area, I carry a lot of stress in my upper back/shoulders/neck. I prefer DEEP pressure - it has to be borderline uncomfortable to actually work out my knots! I've tried a lot of "deep pressure" therapists that just didn't go deep enough for me, or didn't spend that much time actually giving deep pressure. Jenny really takes the time to work out my upper back knots during each session that I feel guilty about all the energy she is using. I always go in tight as concrete leave feeling so incredibly loose. She's truly my savior and I will be devastated if she ever leaves! She is so sweet, and often checks in about the pressure, temperature of the bed, etc Because she is quite popular, I do generally schedule a few weeks ahead to get a time that works for me. I used to try some other therapists at this site (maybe around 5 over the years) if I needed something asap, but honestly I have learned I should just wait for her. Front desk staff is very nice, and they are prompt about things like receipts for FSA. They use a program that charges for tips, so I try to remember to bring cash. The monthly pass is a great deal. My schedule is pretty tight, so I appreciate that the monthly passes roll over and you can use them on both facials and massages. You can also gift someone a pass every 6 months for an extra $10 which is nice. You can also pause your membership for up to 6 months. read more

I had a 60 minute deep tissue massage with Nancy. She was amazing! I had a lot of tension and knots it my upper back and shoulders. The only thing is that the massage itself is only 50 minutes. While it says 60 minutes, they account for 10 minutes for undressing and dressing. That part is disappointing as I wish I had the full hour. The front desk was very enthusiastic and welcoming. When my wife contested the billing, the clerk threatened to cancel her contract and claimed that my wife was acting hostile. Got introduced to Massage Envy through a Yelp Elite event at the Santa Clara location. I connected well with one of the therapists, Edgar, and decided to follow him to the Sunnyvale location. Massage Envy, surprisingly, does take insurance. So if your insurance covers therapeutic massage, definitely work with the staff to make sure you're covered! You will be the one who needs to submit the claim with your insurance to get reimbursed. Staff is friendly. I like the Sunnyvale location since parking is easy and staff makes everything easy for you. Edgar has definitely helped me rehab my body. His deep tissue massage is DEEP. He is very strong :D I always get beat up by him, but the relief post massage is why I keep coming back! You definitely feel a difference after. The environment is very relaxing. Pretty good experience! The massage by Alice was AMAZING ! She really listened to what I was wanting/needing (a little more focus on arms) but still managed to hit every body part in an hour. Super happy with the pressure and relaxation! I like to have massages where I can relax and there isn't talking- surprisingly enough I've had some done where the masseuse talked to me almost the whole time (at another business). I was surprised that this business still required masks for all customers. I actually didn't have one so they had to go look in the back and get me one. This was probably the only reason I didn't give 5 stars. It is super hard to breathe with ur face in the head rest thing and with a mask. I'd leave negative stars for this business if possible. Yesterday I got a call from a condescending woman from this location again. She called because they received my letter. As usual she talked over me & said my membership was cancelled. I said yes because I cancelled it. I sent their forms to cancel twice before via mail & online. This time I sent a copy of the email from them stating the account was cancelled & the forms again. Not unusual for their CRIMINAL behavior "justifying their theft of my money" to now say that I WON'T get a refund of the monies they STOLE from me--a senior citizen on a fixed income. They stole more than 8 hours of services not rendered. My mother was sick & died, I was hospitalized many times due to surgeries, 2 hernias, a hematoma that had to be drained over 2 months at the hospital, large abscess treated over 2 months, & excessive bleeding. On top of all of the above COVID caused this business to shut their doors & not have anyone answer their phones. I had two scheduled massages that were cancelled due to COVID. CROOKS like this business location needs to CLOSE PERMANENTLY! The message for me to contact "The Concerned Massage Envy Portal is a BIG JOKE. I did that twice with NO RESPONSE. I hope Sunnyvale Massage Envy DOES NOT prosper as long as they steal money from the customer. They rejected to serve me for 27 minutes late and charged me the full fee. I got super angry at their attitude. I booked a 60 minutes massage appointment from 3-4pm. I was 27 minutes late (my bad, just forgot) but when I called them saying I will come now (5 minutes distance for me to be there) they said they won't serve me as after 3: 15pm and I will be viewed as no cancel no show up and charge me the full 60 minute fee $90. My point is, If I booked this one hour, that time should be mine. They charged me but rejected to serve me. I am super angry. I asked for the term I signed (I remember I signed on a paper iiuc, but I received an electronic one), there is no 15 minutes late reject service policy. This membership has been a burden to me, they charge me every month automatically and I have to there and can't be late. I love this location because most of the therapists are rockstars. At first I thought I could go to any but I went to Nancy and I felt like I still needed a massage right after and so a couple days later I had to get another massage at another envy. I strongly advise against using Message Envy, especially the Sunnyvale location. My experience has been nothing short of frustrating and disappointing. The front desk service is abysmal. Front Desk was extremely rude and irritated when I asked for clarification about their policies. This behavior is unprofessional and highly distressing for customers. Their membership model is a trap. Once you're in, it's nearly impossible to cancel. They continue charging your credit card monthly, even when you try to terminate the service. I've heard there are even class action lawsuits filed against them for these practices. To make matters worse, if you have accumulated credits and decide to cancel, you lose all of them. This feels like a deliberate tactic to discourage cancellations and keep customers locked in. The business practices and policies are terrible and seem designed to take advantage of customers rather than provide a good service. Booking the appointment was easy. When I came for my appointment, the front desk staff were very pleasant and very helpful. I had a massage with Nancy and it was great! Nancy does acupressure massage. It is harder than the usual massage. It is like deep tissue with additional pressure on certain points of your body. So make sure you express your preference before the massage starts. After my appointment, the front desk was very helpful again in booking my next appointment. The facility is also very clean. Overall, it was a very good experience! The only negative I can say is that Massage Envy deducts 10 minutes from your paid time for prepping which I think is not good customer service. I was looking for a relaxing massage and my massage with Emma W. was exactly that. I haven't had a massage in a while so I was expecting to be in pain afterwords, but it has been a few days and I feel perfectly fine. Emma gave me a full body massage, but still managed to find time to focus on the areas that I asked her to, locate knots, and gradually apply more pressure to my knots without making it painful. She also made sure to check in with me several times throughout the massage to make sure everything was OK. I'm not giving this place 5 stars because I have had better, but this is a place that I would come back to and is currently #1 on my list of places in Sunnyvale. I had accrued 55-yes 55 massage without my knowledge. How does one ever use 55 massages. I have 6 months to use it or lose it, while paying more money to do so. Except I no longer live in Cali. I really enjoyed getting a massage here. I'd been burning the candle on both ends for about 4 months so my neck and shoulders were really tight. When I called to schedule the appointment, I was given Emma as a masseuse. She is one of the best masseuses I've ever had. She knew how to find all my pressure points and after 2 massage appointments, I could feel a very noticeable difference. The whole experience here was well thought out. Once you arrive, you're greeted by someone at the front desk who asks if you want tea or water. After that, you're led to a waiting area behind a closed door.
