It was a horrible experience. First time going and the last time. First we requested to have female masseuses, we got a male. So my partner was super uncomfortable the whole time. And the place is dirty and worn down. Second, when we were getting our massage, the other workers were eating their food where we can smell it, they were talking really loud so it was no relaxing at all. It was super unprofessional. I wanted to try this place out after seeing their 4.0 rating; which was better than my usual place down the street; which is getting busy and sloppy. I was quite pleased with my experience here. While it is a little 'rustic' inside (just bamboo screens for privacy in the open area), I had a nice 30 minute foot/30 minute body massage in the public area $45 cash. They raised the credit card fee to $2 for cards. Don't be shy ladies! If you get a male massuse, wear a bra that opens in the back, and they might ask you to remove your shirt so they can have access to your back area. This wasn't a problem. My male massuse had firm pressure to get knots out and was very through and did a slow, job (not rushed or sloppy). I liked this place more as they use oils and not a salt scrub for my feet and legs and then you are rinsed off with hot towel. Its a busy Korean strip mall so parking is a bit tight. I tipped $20 because this man did a good job; don't skimp on the tips please! These folks aren't paid that well hourly and rely on the tips to supplement their income. I have been here at least 10 times. Price is good. Always accommodating even when I call last minute. The walls are dividers which are super thin and you can hear people if they start talking. My only feedback since this has happened multiple times is that as you are getting massages the worker burp out loud. This week the woman literally burped over my face as she was massaging my head, it was stinky and totally grossed me out. The men constantly burp too. Called ahead for a combo massage the other day and it was a decent experience. Payment is now made at the counter before going in. There is now a $35 foot massage with 50 minute foot and 10 minute body without oil or hot stones. Alternatively, they also feature a combo massage for $40 which is a 30 minute foot and 30 minute body massage including oil and hot stones. The one hour body massage is $55. They take credit cards with a $1 surcharge. The massage parlor is sectioned off via a curtain or sliding door. The foot massage rooms have two "beds" per section and the staff were wearing a face mask showing their mouth and nose, so more of a chinguard? Foot massage started off with a warm foot bath while the therapist did a neck, shoulder, head, and arm massage. The actual foot massage was mediocre and it felt more like rubbing than actually hitting trigger points. The arm, neck and head massage were decent though. The back massage was good and thorough. Started off with a towel, moved on to the oil and then quickly ended off with a few hot stones that were more like warm stones. The hot towel service was relaxing. I was in desperate need of a massage and did the 30 min back and 30 min foot massage with hot stones and essential oils and not one essential oil was used which is frustrating because it cost more. I had the gentleman do my massage and the massage was so mediocre and sloppy. I don't mind the not too much privacy thing at these kind of quick foot/massage spas but everyone that worked there talked almost the entire time which is such a no no. Amazing Foot Spa took two of us in last-minute on a Friday afternoon for foot massages, in which we were placed in a semi-private room together (curtains divided the "rooms" from the hallway). We actually ordered and paid for the Foot Massage (50 min foot massage & 10 min back massage), but we received the Combo Massage (30 min foot massage & 30 min back massage) instead. And even though the Combo Massage costs $5 more, it's not what we asked for.  This was a fully clothed massage. The room was clean, and we soaked our feet in a bucket of hot water during the first portion of the massage, which focused on the neck and shoulders. Then later spent a bit of time on the legs and feet, a few minutes on the arms, and then flipped over to work on the back. I felt that the time spent on my feet/lower legs was not as good as the back massage portion. So although the masseuse did an awesome job on my back, neck, and shoulders, he barely targeted any muscles or pressure points on my feet/calves/shins, which would have been preferred since I run regularly and use my legs a lot, and that's what I would expect from a "foot massage". That being said, the massage was still very relaxing and was only $35 for the full body (with clothes on), before tip, so though it was not "amazing", it wasn't bad for the value. Maybe a different masseuse would do a better job, I think my partner's masseuse did a little better during this visit. Part of me wants to gatekeep since this is the foot spa spot we've gone to monthly for at least 5 years (not including COVID times). The price has gone up over the years but it's still a pretty good deal for a solid massage. Don't expect a fancy spa atmosphere but if you like deep massages you can expect to feel refreshed when you're done. Man I never saw before didn't spend any time at all trying to get out my shoulder knots. Instead just glossed over it on purpose with soft palm motion even though I stated I wanted strong massage. Really good combo massage. They knew what they were doing. I came out relaxed. Use of hot stones was a pleasant surprise. Only reason for 1 fewer star is for the hidden charges via tipping. They have a $10 minimum per person on all massages including the $35 combo massage which should be paid on cash. So, it's basically at least $45 massage vs say $65 at other comparable South Bay joints where it's not over the clothes. I still think it's good enough for the price, but I appreciate the transparency upfront (on the price chart with an asterisks?) My situation: bad aching shoulder due to heavy lifting. I have a super bad painful shoulder due to a careless and sudden heavy lifting. I was hesitant reading other reviews but it was too painful and it's Friday night, there is no way I can find a doctor immediately. So I gave it a try. Convenient: I made a call for reservation on Friday night 7pm for walk in 10mins and asked for a female staff. No issue, very quickly booked and taken care of the minute I walked in. Experienced acupuncture staff: the staff took care of me is Rose. She totally understood my aching shoulder and addressed good care of it. The moment she pressed on my acupuncture points, I knew it's right! It's sooooo good! My shoulder aching disappeared 70% immediately. I need to correct some of the other reviews. For acupuncture style of massage, it's not about how hard the pressure is, it's about whether the staff knows where are the correct acupuncture points. Rose is definitely well knowledgeable about the acupuncture points! For the same level of acupuncture massage from my normal acupuncture doctor, it costs $80-100. And here, it's only $35-50 for an hour! So hella cheap! They did not ask me for tips ahead of time. But they do prefer cash tips. I ordered $40 service for one hour including body and foot massage. It's so good that I happily paid $80 in total including tips at the end, it's way worth the value. Ambiance warning: it's definitely not the spa type of massage. Its dark and small when I walked in. I can hear the noise from the neighbor store. Rose was answering her team sometimes during the massage. But I don't care, because it's cheap and it works for my pain! Amazing Foot Spa was indeed amazing! Our group of three went on a Sunday afternoon after calling ahead in the morning. Two of us got the 1-hr combo foot and body massage, while our 3rd person got the 1-hr full body massage. A big pro was the masseuses were skilled, and they took the time to hit little acupressure points. Both massage types came with hot stone and oil. Our bodies were not oily at the end, so they did a good job wiping us down, and the lotion they used was not sticky. This was one of the few massage places I've gone to that used hot stone in their movements, vs. just laying them on top of the person's body. The masseuses were attentive and asked if we were feeling OK, especially during more "intense" moments like when the hot stones were first applied. We each felt our respective masseuses worked incredibly hard. The prices were very inexpensive as well, and I would encourage people to tip generously. Even with $20 tips per person, our massages were still comparable to the before-tip prices of other massage places in the Bay Area. Some things to be aware of: - Combo massage is fully clothed, but when they work on your back, they use oil and hot stones, so they need to roll up the shirt. Customers may decide to remove their shirt entirely. For females, don't be startled as they will unclasp your bra, but re-clasp it when done. They are careful not to get oil on the hems of the rolled up shirt or upper pants. - For the full body massage, they require removal of clothing to only undergarments. These massages are in a closed-off room for privacy. - Some sounds do travel, just because of the set-up of the building. The staff do their best to keep voices low, and there is light instrumental music. We had no issues with the ambience, but, if you are looking for complete silence to relax, this may not be right for you. It's a little confusing what's the difference between a foot massage (includes head, shoulders, back) and the combo of 30 min foot 30 min back combo. We both asked for the combo, but when we left we discovered my massage included hot stones and my bff didn't get any. We both paid the same amount so that was weird. Lemme start of by giving y'all a background of my experience in foot massages. I spent almost first half of my life in China, and I still visit China about once every two years. In those time, I've being to numerous foot spas and massage therapy stores. I've also gone to a few in San Jose, so I know how the stores in America stacks up against those in China. I went here with my girlfriend to get a foot massage. First impression was not so good. There were people coming in with luggage bags and the entire store was not very well organized. During the massage, you can very clearly hear other people checking in and out, which makes it very hard to relax and potentially take a nap. So if you are looking for some really peaceful time listening to spa music while getting massaged, this place is not for you. On to the actual massages. I had a male therapist and my girlfriend had a female therapist. While i would say the massage met about 60% of my expectation, which is pretty good, the therapist was very rough with his movements. At one point, he literally threw my arms back down to the bed. It's not painful or anything, it's just not peaceful. Furthermore, both my girlfriend and I agreed that a lot of their movement felt random and repetitive. They were able to find a spot or two on our feet and back that were super relaxing, but mostly it was just pointless rubbing. For my girlfriend specifically, she did not enjoy the head massage. The therapist applied the same pressure to her head as with her feet, which caused her head to ache after the massage. Overall, I'd say this place is ok... in respect to other stores in America. Like I'd give it a "C" for passing. However in respect to Chinese stores, this is just horrible. So adjust your expectations when you go. read more
