I went here regularly in the past and had a great experience. I went today and tried out a randomly assigned masseuse for a 60 minute full body massage. My masseuse was 10 minutes late and then very loud in the massage room which took away from the ambience. It felt like she was brand new. The "relaxing music" skipped often and would play a minute of music until skipping to the next short track. So distracting. Felt like I was listing to a TikTok over and over again. Now the massage: it might be the most okay-est massage I've ever had. She only really focused on thighs, middle back, and arms. I told her I was looking for full body so I was so confused why so much was skipped over. Not much petrissage, mostly pressure points. I don't know if it was laziness or just her style but it wasn't very enjoyable. Even though she was 10 minutes late she finished 5 minutes before the appointment end time. So I maybe got a 40 minute massage? My advice, check out the small businesses for your massages. There are much better places out there that I've been to in the greater Orlando area. read more

Great massage and very clean location! The massage therapist was very kind and accommodating! He deserves 5 stars. My primary issue was with the communication from the front, which hindered the customer service experience. First case, I was informed over the phone that they were booked for the day; yet, there were 5+ appointments available online. Secondly, I called to ensure they took a gift card from another location; before leaving, there was an issue with my gift card and I felt the manager could have communicated this in a more confidential, empathetic way. I had to emphasize that I don't mind paying but I don't want to pay twice and just needed clarity. No one was rude, but I'd love to feel just as respected as the obvious regulars at this location. The manager mystique is the most disrespectful and lazy person I've ever encountered in a business. She didn't handle a schedule opening properly for her massage therapist and got upset that I made it known that she failed on the way it was handled. Her own staff all said they were told different things and that they didn't know what was going on. Her asst manager said she was supposed to be in at open and failed to show up. Mystique is NEVER in the building and when she is .. She's sitting in her office eating and gossiping about everything. How does she not show up to the second busiest day of the year for them? I've been with massage envy for 6 years and have multiple people I pay for in my household. I called and asked for a refund of my service since my membership was being canceled due to being disrespectful (aka upset on how she doesn't know how to manage) and was told she was blocking my membership because I called her a name and told her she didn't know how to manage properly. I asked for upper managements number and was told Candice would be in touch with me . I asked about her information directly and was told she would be contacting me. Either way , long time customers mostly have a problem with mystique and I can't fathom why a business would keep someone so lazy around. The staff is a reflection of you and the amount of turnover speaks volume about her lack of managerial skills. Whoever is in charge really NEEDS to evaluate who they have working for them and understand that location would be ran better with Vil running the front office vs what she has done over the years.. I've spoken to her once in all the years and waited to speak to her on Sunday and asked today after my appointment , but go figure she wasn't there as usual. Either way this place stays open because of people going to Ralph and Melissa. Mystique being lazy and then getting upset when people criticize your lack of skills to manage your team should be a moment where you reflect on yourself. First the massage therapists are not to blame for the bad review. The management is. The faculty is so overbooked that you can hardly get an appointment. So we decide to plan ahead and book WAY in advance... I talking about booking monthly for A YEAR out! We make arrangements for the kids to be watched, etc. it is not as easy as just waking out the door for us. 3x in the last 4 months they have canceled on us or cut the massage from 90 to 60 the day of or the night before. So not only can you not book, but even when you do they cancel you. What is even a bigger kick in the teeth is that if I WANTED to cancel within that same timeframe.... They charge me. read more

I was gifted a massage by my partner back in December and decided to sign up for the 6 months package. I have enjoyed the monthly time to myself and have taken advantage of both the massage and facial options. As a retail manager who is always on my feet this is wonderful. Staff overall has been accommodating. I do agree with some of these reviews that the front desk staff is just OK. Some of them seem bothered to help you. The therapists have all be great however. One day they had to cancel my massage after I was ready there and someone, who I assume was a manager, was nice about it despite me being bummed and having to drive back home. So really everyone is great overall aside from a few. I am already considering extending for another 6 months. read more

I've been here for a few years and I had my regular 2 massage therapists who I consider a "10" in deep tissue massage. It is when the phrase "it hurts so good" would apply. Unfortunately one of the therapist moved and the other is booked the rest of the year. So I've tried a few therapist. Though some were recommended to be "strong" they have come up short, but nonetheless still good, I just needed great. The 2 therapist I recommend is Ana and Melissa for strong, deep tissue, "get in the knots" massage. They are amazing. You will feel so de-stressed and whole. Facility is consistently clean, front reception staff are all great and friendly. I like that they call you the day before and also email you reminders of your appointment. When I closed my membership I had at least 1 or 2 massages left. The staff member on the phone assured me that they were mine as they were paid for but certainly didn't mention that they vanish into thin air after 60 days. Quite simply I paid for these massages and tracking online shouldn't be difficult for them to hold them. I find this place disreputable. Now that I returned from my travels I will not ever use them. I have convinced at least 2 other acquaintances to give this place a miss. And yes, the customer service was basically non existent. They rarely even answer the phone. Not to mention when you go in for massage, on time.,they ignore you for several minutes and take their time responding. I cannot encourage you enough to pass this place up. Regular here and never reviewed so here is my summary for about 2.5 years. Solid 4 stars. Front Desk Service: 4 stars- Unlike reviews I have seen about front desk staff, I haven't had any problem. Always been friendly and helpful. At one time was giving up to find the right massage therapist and cancel subscription service when front desk talked with me on my needs, talked among themselves and agreed collectively for me to try one more person. Well that was well over a 1.5 or so years ago and has been good since. I like the fact they call with a reminder the day before also (since I have written stuff on my calendar wrong). Massage Service: 4.25 stars- Initially took me awhile to find the "right" massager and sometimes they leave and I have to start over. So things do swing might swing like a pendulum at times. Most important recommendations: 1st-spend time discussing your area of problem (e.g., if it's a neck issue they might have someone who specializes in that area, if you like light, firm, deep tissue messages, etc) with front desk, looking at reviews if they mention therapists, etc. 2nd- when you find someone you like, ask them who they recommend in case they are not available. Actually now have two part time massage therapists who both do great job for me (and no, I won't divulge their names or you might clog up there schedules even more). Environment: 4 stars- parking can be a headache depending on the time of day due primarily to both a gym as well as a restaurant. The facility though is quiet, clean and relaxing and you don't even know your in Winter Garden Village. Bathrooms are clean. read more

I have a membership at this location and I love massages! I don't have a lot of time, but I like to go in and get some relax time when I can. It can be a challenge to get appointments for me since I have to typically schedule last minutes, but they are always willing to see what is available and try to get me scheduled in. The staff is friendly and the therapists are great and listen to your needs. I can count on this location to help me relax, unwind, and get some stress out. They have also helped with some sore muscles. I have done the facials here as well and I love the glow of my skin after. read more

So I was 5min into a massage when I hear loud squeaking pass by followed by intense vacuuming. I immediately dismissed it thinking it would stop in a few minutes and something might of happened. Nope, it happened the whole massage. Then it sounded like they were sanding the walls. Mind you this was the room RIGHT next to the one I was in. Every time they moved the vacuum the wheels squeaked loudly! I let the front desk person know after my massage and she laughed as if it was a joke. Filed a complaint and the manager Mystique Isaacs contacted me. She also thought it wasn't serious. Like somewhere in the Massage Envy corporate franchise rules there has to be something about not allowing extremely loud sounds while getting a massage? Or are people allowed to use a jack hammer in the next room? The whole point of a massage is to relax and relieve stress and tension. After 5yrs I had to finally cancel my membership. I hope Mystique is replaced with someone more equipped for the job. Hopefully they find someone to train the staff better. read more

I just joined massage envy to help me with stress that creates knots in my shoulders and neck. I've had a total of 4 massages there, and 3/4 of masseuses I tried were excellent. 60 minute feels short for stress relief, because 10 minutes are taken for turning over the room, getting undressed, etc. Make sure to avoid the couples room if you are going solo, the partition wall is thin and you can hear loud conversations occurring. Next door the massage therapist was having a loud conversation with a man for more than 20 minutes. The experience ruined my 90 minute massage today (left after 35 minutes). I paid in full so the manager offered that I could come back for a 90 minute some other time. I am satisfied with this outcome as the other massage experiences here were good. read more

I have nothing but positive things to say about Massage Envy Winter Garden. I have been utilizing their services for almost two years. I treated a friend to a personal message on her birthday on 01/11/17. She was very impressed with her therapist Michelle. Out of curiosity, I made an apt. with Michelle. One my friends has a monthly membership to Massage Envy and requests the same massage therapist each time, Desmond. I'd met him a couple of times at runDisney expos so I requested him for my massage. Ahh! It was perfect! He gave the right amount of pressure (and asked me if it was good) and he had asked at the beginning what type of massage I wanted. She was saying how relaxing and wonderful the experience was, so I asked her for the name of the person who did her facial. She told me and I scheduled an appointment. That was almost two years ago and I just had my monthly facial yesterday with Jes, who is amazing! If you have never had a massage, you really need to try one. Once you do, you will wonder how you have gone thru life without more of them. I was treated to a massage back in the 90's and fell in love with them. I try to get two or three of them a year just to help with tension and a particular knot in my back. One of the challenges of getting a massage was finding someplace that did a good one without overcharging you and breaking the bank. If its good, I don't mind paying for it... but if it was bad and really did not help me, then any price paid is a bad one. This brings me to Massage Envy. This is a chain of spas that are popping up all over the place so that the joy of getting a massage or facial is with in reach of everyone. They offer a special $39 first time massage for one hour to see if you like it. Then, they ask that your sign up for a one year membership for $49 a month. For that $49 you get one free massage per month. Each additional massage for that month is $39 each. If you don't have a massage that month, the time can roll over to another month and use it then. Either way, you are paying $49 a month for one massage. My challenge is that I don't like contracts. I have been burned before by gyms and spas so I went to see what my $39 would get me and how hard a sell they would do to get me to sign. I made the appointment after doing research on line about the company and then going in to talk to one of the ladies at the front desk. Everyone was very nice and I made my first massage appointment for the next morning. The next day, I arrived 15 early to fill out medical history information and get ready for my treatment. All of the ladies said the person (who's name I will not mention so I don't upset anyone) was the best they had and I was so lucky to have him work on me. My masseuse met me and we went back to the maze of rooms. He talked to me about my personal needs and what I was expecting from the session. Then he left me to undress and get ready. His massage lasted 50 min and is was good... but not 'the best' I have ever had. If this was the best they had to offer, I am not sure I would want to spend my hard earned money on average massages every month. After he was done, I dressed and noted on the wall a frame with 'suggested' tips on it in relation to the 'value' of what a real massage would cost... not the Massage Envy prices. They want you to tip on the value of a better massage... I don't think so. I left the room and my masseuse was waiting with a cup of water and walked me to the front desk again. I thanked him and he left me with another lady from the front desk. It was now that I was prepared for the 'hard sell' of a contract. She explained all the benefits of getting massages on a weekly basis and the joining Massage Envy would help me save money compared to the cost of massages at a regular spa. I explained to her that times were tight and I wanted to think about it.... and she was fine with that. She really did not push me into signing but did give me other options that might have made me change my mind (the ability to cancel if I moved away or got ill... to freeze the account if I could not pay... even the option of a 6 month contract instead of a year). I still said no and I would let her know if I wanted to join. All in all it was a pleasant experience and I would recommend trying the $39 special first time massage. Your experience might be different. I guess I might sign up if I had the extra money coming in but I would rather save my pennies and pay for a better massage a few times a year (about $300) vs the contract cost of Massage Envy ($588). The staff was super friendly to me and totally understood that people can not afford a luxury like this but they do try to make it a good experience so try it... all you can lose is $39! I really like Massage Envy Winter Garden. I've tried different therapists until I found the one I'm comfortable with. All in all, I've had about 7 massages at that location; about 2 of them were Ok and didn't think they justified the cost. I've gotten a facial one time and felt it was a complete waste of money and felt pressured to buy their products. Everyone is super nice and I have no issues with anyone over there, I just feel that some therapists are better than others and it may take you a few times to find out the one that works best for you. I typically don't like contracts either, but if I can indulge on one thing for myself in a month, it would be my massage and I figured sigining up for the contract will force me to do it and I actually don't regret it. read more
