I called to cancel an appointment because I got a boot put on my foot. The person I talked to did not tell me I could put my membership on hold. I had no idea I would need a boot so when I realized I had an appointment for my massage I called. My account was charged for the visit even though I didn't go. When I asked for a refund she said I cancelled in less than 24 hours from my appt. Well excuse me for not knowing I had to get the boot. I will use my last 2 appts. but then will never step into that establishment. If you're ever worried about being charged for a missed appt. I wouldn't use this establishment. My girlfriend and I purchased a Groupon for a 30 min message however once we got there we upgraded to a 60 minute Hot Stone message which was absolutely great. The message therapist were very professional and pleasant. After our session the receptionist asked for a tip, which I feel is unprofessional, When we gave a tip she frowned upon it as if it wasn't good enough, She had a nasty disposition and made it clear to my friend and I that she was not happy with he amount we gave. We paid for the Service that was provided and did not have to give a penny more. Had a couples massage for me and my partner in August for his birthday.Terrible massage, way to hard and aggressive, all they used were their elbows and it was aweful,almost aggresive.We were late for the apt by like 15 minutes and we received a 20 minute massage and paid for one hour. Needed a massage on a visit to the Ballantyne area. Alvin gave a great massage. Neck tension, sciatic nerve....stress - felt much better afterwards. Wasn't looking for a Swedish, needed to address specific areas. Pressure was good, draping was the best I've ever had. I wish the oil was warmed before using. :) making an appointment for the same day was easy, able to do it online and the process was quick. At checkout, after the massage, the tipping was a bit tricky - many signs with tip information, but rather than taking 20% of the price I paid, they took 20% of the price I would have paid if it were not introductory pricing. Probably normal procedure for the company - I just wasn't expecting it - would have been nice if that had been explained to me. I have never had such a negative experience than I have had with Massage Heights in Stonecrest, Charlotte NC. Specifically, the manager Sherry, who has hung up on me twice. She has never been understanding or accommodating and extremely unprofessional and rude. I booked a 90 minute massage with their credits and the masseuse cut it short by accident 30 min. The front desk advised that they would extend another 60 min. massage I had scheduled in the future from a 60 to a 90 min to make up for the difference. After leaving the appointment they charged me for the additional 30 min, which I should not have to pay as they extended it to make up for the previous appointment. When I spoke to Sherry the Manager and explained this and pulled up records showing my previous check in and check out time was cut short, she did not credit me back, said she was not going to credit me back, told me she was done and proceeded to hang up on me. The lack of customer empathy is mind boggling especially in a competitive environment. My wife and I were members for over two years contributing thousands of dollars in revenue for that Franchise and this is how we are treated. There are many other options to choose from in this space. I will need to dispute these charges now, based on mistakes made by first the masseuse, and then the front desk, when the Manager could've remedied the situation, but decided to hang up on me instead. This was my first time at this location and I was so pleased! The both people at the front desk was very friendly and outgoing. They took me to a nice little waiting room to wait for my therapist, Sherrika, who arrived shortly there after. She asked me what I wanted her to concentrate on and we went from there. Sherrika was amazing! She packs some serious power and worked to released all of my knots. She combines the deep tissue techniques with a very relaxing and soothing touch that is the ultimate cure for all your body's needs. However the same day in the evening I got this horrible rash all over my body. GO SEE BON!! I had the best massage today by Bon at massage heights. As a woman sometimes i can be a little timid about a male masseuse but Bon completely changed that for me! He made me feel so comfortable and safe and relaxed. He worked exactly what i needed and checked in every 10 or so minutes to ask about the pressure and comfortability. I cannot recommend him enough. Jade was at the front desk and was personable and attentive both before and after my massage. The massage itself was excellent. Sheets on massage tables agree soft and always fresh. Tables are cushioned and therapists will put a round pillow under legs during massage. Therapist all certified and professional. You disrobe to your level of comfort and they work with you. Tell the therapist about and areas to pay special attention or stay away from and they listen. Highly recommend. Only down side is no facials current available that I'm aware of. The last two visits I've seen Ariel. I suffer from tension headaches and can get extremely tight in my shoulders, neck and pecs. Ariel is fantastic she gets 5 stars. She can make the sessions very relaxing while doing some great deep massage work on delicate areas. So I was referred here by a friend. I was told to arrive 10-15 mins before my appointment for my consult. I got there place was really nice. Ambience was set, was really excited to relax and relieve stress. Michael was my massage therapist. I was supposed to get 60 mins. Which includes music I prefer, foot scrub and hot stones. When I got back in the room he talked to me for about 5-7 mins (talking about him being a personal trainer as well) which cut time away, then all the points that I wanted him to focus on he did not. I didn't choose my music (bc he never asked me) I didn't get to choose my aromatherapy (bc again he never asked me) the. I told him my problem area was back and calves he focused on my feet and thighs. Just was not pleased. Spent $90 and felt like I got a 30 mins massage and not a 60 min. Would not return. Oh and not to mention there is construction going on next door and you can heat it all through out! read more

Be very careful with this place. I am not going to complain about the massages or their contracts. Their massages are about average and their contracts are what you sign up for. In fact their massages are the reason why I did give Massage heights two stars. Their massages are pretty much what you would find at their competitors with the exception being that they give you aromatherapy. This isn't something to get overly excited about (its putting scent on a rag and putting it over your face) but it is a nice touch and the effort is well received, especially if you have a stuffed nose as the eucalyptus can open up your airway. But the sneakiness is where I was completely turned off. My husband's job moved him to Asheville and before we moved I asked about when I could cancel. The gentleman at the front desk was honest with me and said that I could cancel my contract that day if I could show them bills from our new place. So far so good right? Well when I went back, I was met with a lady who was very rude and sneaky. She is coincidentally the one who handles the cancellations. As part of the contract, I had a handful of massages left and I had 4 massages paid for. So I asked if I canceled the contract (the unpaid massages) will I still get to use my paid for massages. First she said no. Then she said that I could use my massages first and then she would cancel my contract and I would not be billed for the next month (since It would cancel before next months billing cycle). I thought this was a great idea. So I decided to do so and scheduled a massage. To pamper myself and knock out two paid massages, I decided to get a 2 hour massage. I went in and as usual I was completely refreshed! I then decided to use the last two massages and do another 2 hour massage. The same sneaky lady said I did not have anymore... I was a little confused, but not knowing how the 2 hour massage figured with billing I accepted this and decided its over and I will cancel. She now tells me that it will take 30 days to cancel and that I will be billed one more time. Look, the 30 days is in the contract, and I am not upset about that. But what I am upset about is the sneaky manner that she went about doing this. You tell me that I won't be billed since I wanted to cancel before the billing cycle began again, but then tell me to come back and do it later and decide that you will bill me again. The upside is with another paid month I had another paid massage, which I learned from looking at my contract on my own that I could use once the next month started. (The girl said that it would depend, but I was really fed up with this and just left) Ok fine, its in the contract, and unlike this shady girl, I will live up to my end of the deal. I get a call at the start of the month reminding me that I have a paid massage and asking when I would like to schedule. The gentleman on the phone asks if I would like a 2 hour like last time. I tell him I did not think I could since I did not have the paid massage and that I did not feel like paying more. He says I have 3 paid massages left. Are you kidding me? So that girl lied to me, told me I had no more massages left but I had 3? How is that a way to do business? Not only was I lied to, but as part of my contract, I only had 1 week after the final bill date to use my last massage. I did not want to make the drive 3 times in one week. I am infuriated with this, and whats worse is that they cannot or are not willing to do anything about this. I followed the contract rules and was very nice about the whole situation, but all I got was attitude and shady dealings. Don't waste your time with these people. Instead, head over to Massage Envy, get a comparable massage at a slightly better value all while being treated like a human with no smoke and mirrors (and no feeling ripped off!) read more
