The woman behind the desk repeatedly called me by another name and insisted we had spoken on the phone which we had not because they never answer their phone. My husband I both immediately had the same reaction "No way are we going through with any type of service in this awful place. Absolutely would NOT recommend. I am writing to report an extremely disappointing and unsettling experience my wife and I had with a couples massage we purchased through Groupon. The establishment was not at all as described in the listing, and the condition of the facility was far below any reasonable standard for a business offering personal wellness services. Upon arrival, we were shocked to find that the location was inside an old office complex with limited signage. After navigating a dark, unwelcoming hallway, we finally found a paper sign taped to a door. As soon as we entered, we were hit with a foul odor and a sense of discomfort. The lobby--or front room--was poorly maintained and left us feeling uneasy. The staff were not welcoming or professional, and seemed disorganized as they scrambled through paperwork. While waiting, I peeked into one of the massage rooms and was appalled by what I saw: an old, visibly dirty comforter on the massage table and carpeting that was stained and looked unsanitary. The room--and the office in general--did not feel clean or safe. Given the condition of the facility and the unprofessional environment, I told my wife I was not comfortable proceeding with the service. This was supposed to be a relaxing and romantic experience for us, but instead it turned into a stressful and disappointing situation. To make matters worse, we were charged for the service even though we declined to receive it due to the unsanitary and misrepresented conditions. This experience was clearly not what was advertised on Groupon, and we are requesting a full refund. They had my number, yet no one called me to inform me that someone changed the appointment to put both massages in the same room--something I NEVER requested or agreed to. When we arrived, they casually told us they had no availability to separate the rooms. After planning this for months, it became clear that they likely kept booking other customers instead of honoring what I had already paid for. Their only so-called "solution" was to have my son and his sister share a room, which was completely inappropriate and made both of them uncomfortable. They also refused to offer a refund or escalate the issue to the owner or manager, claiming there was no way to contact them--another huge red flag. My son chose to walk away from his first massage experience because this business showed no respect for customers, no accountability, and no professionalism. Now, I'm out of money, and the moment was ruined. I should have trusted the already bad reviews, but I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt. Big mistake. Last week I had my first massage from Tishana it was great, so good that I called to make an appointment. Only to be bounced to I think Florida then I started receiving text messages. I said I one hour then they texted do I want two people? I never mention two people so I said I will take two hours one person $120 then they proceeded to tell me the times available Monday at 9 AM or 1 PM and then I stated I will take the 1 PM one person $120 cool Now Sunday night at about 8pm I get another text saying what is my name to confirm my appointment I already have an appointment. I first found them through Groupon and got a couples massage back in 2014.I have been here on and off for a few years now. I must say, having been to other massage places, Massage Lofts has always been one of my favorites. I've gotten different masseuses each time, but the masseuses definitely know what they're doing! They listen to your needs and ask for any areas where you need work on. They do Mellow Mondays where it's $55 for cash and $60 for credit cards. I did have a bad experience here once and not because of the massage itself, but the masseuse had tried to get me to go on a date with him after my massage. He wouldn't let me tip him and instead said, "Don't tip me and just go on a date with me this weekend." It was weird, but he doesn't work there anymore anyways. I didn't go back for a little while because I was trying to avoid him. They do book up fast and if you have a 8-5 job, it is pretty tough to try to get a massage in during the weekday. The day of our appointment I received a call that they had to cancel due to the therapist being sick which I wasn't happy but I know things happen. I scheduled another appointment and again the day of I receive a text this time saying that they needed to cancel because the therapist didn't work past 3 pm and our appointment was scheduled for 3:30. This place has alot of unprofessional employees that don't have a problem with wasting people's time. My husband had rescheduled his own work just to accommodate to their times since you cannot use your Groupon on certain days of the week. Thank you, Groupon, for helping me find this place. I was looking for a couples massage for a Valentines Day gift and Massage Loft's deal + their reviews were too good to pass up this offer. When you arrive, the building is between a bank and a gas station. Then go inside and head to the right. It can be a little confusing but I promise they are inside. Now, when we arrived they were a little disorganized but they apologized, as I believe their secretary was coming in late that day. Luckily, the waiting area was nice and cozy (pictured below). Once we got into the room, it was a wonderful experience. They make sure you are 100% comfortable the whole time, checking in periodically on how you are, the pressure, etc. The tables are heated, which is awesome. The music is soothing. And the atmosphere is very serene. My masseuse was very good, pinpointing all the places that I asked her to. My husband echoed the same praise with his masseuse. Then, at the end, they gave us lots of water to stay hydrated. Overall, it was a nice experience and I wouldn't mind coming back again. read more

Well...I only give this place a 1 star because the masseuse (Vanity) was good. The management though really sucks and they are crooks. I showed up at my 3rd massage (1st one using one of three gift certificates that I had bought during their "customer appreciation week") 15 minutes early only to be told that my appointment was canceled and given to someone else. Eventually I was told the owner cancelled my appointment but no reason could be given to me. I asked for a refund and after a few back & forths I was told I would get a check in 7-10 days but since they don't normally give refunds I could never book with them again. Fine...no problem. It has now been well over a month and no check has been received by me! I've called 4 times and actually spoke with someone 3 of those times. Each time the person said they would ask the owner what day the check was mailed and they would call me back. Yep...that's right...no phone call...no check date given!! If you wish to go here the masseuse is very good but beware....DO NOT buy any gift certificates and know that your appointment might get cancelled for absolutely NO reason! Very unprofessional! Called to book, and was transferred to their Florida office and spoke to someone who didn't realize she was reading me Florida availability even though I'm in Ohio (this wasted a good 5 minutes of everyone's time and created confusion). Then, we were in the middle of booking an appointment when the slot became blocked off by someone else. Their system doesn't hold time slots if you're in the process of booking. Couldn't find another appointment time that worked and then couldn't get the receptionist to let me off the phone - she wanted to keep explaining why this happened and why it wasn't her fault. Very unprofessional. On my booked appointment/ on my birthday, I scheduled a couples message. Message Lofts called and canceled 1 hour before my appointment and rescheduled for the day after. Went to the appointment, the day after my birthday, my message was great, my husband's message was terrible. I asked for a complimentary coupes message due to them canceling and they booked the appointment for a month out. Feb 1, we head to our complementary massage scheduled for 10a, we got there at 9:40a and the second therapist was not there. My husband explained our previous experience to the and the unprofessionalism of the company as we waited for the second therapist to show up. At 9:55a the second therapist never showed up. The Therapist we spoke with at Message Lofts was unable to log in to his system to reschedule me but would have the owner call me to reschedule. 20 minutes later Message Lofts sent me a no-show email and charged me $25 per person. I returned back to Message Lofts to get a refund and again they said they will have the owner contact me. Management contacted me, advised me I will not receive a refund but I could rebook my complementary appointment. I told them to keep the $50 and the appointment and I don't want anything to do with them or their company ever again, their response was ok, I understand. I went here for the first time and it was great! Very soothing atmosphere. Heather was my therapist and I have quite a few injuries. She knew just how much pressure to apply and where. She also alerted me to some swelling in my ankle-I broke it a year ago, had immediate surgery, only two weeks of rehab thanks to my insurance, and still have problems. And y'all didn't even have the decency to CALL me instead of sending a text!?!?! Are you guys going to pay ME a cancelation fee then!!?!? We took time off of work for our appointment so this place wasted our time and our money!! Their answer seems to always be "you can get a refund from Groupon". How about FIXING the ongoing issue!!! If yall don't like Groupons then why even offer them!?!?! And yes, we can get a refund but we can't get our time back!
