Foot massages are 40 dollars, there are upgrades for shoulders and other body parts as well. 5 dollar up charge for tigers balm which helped relax my blue collar feet. I was serviced by Amy who did wonders! Absolutely recommend this place for a quick 30 min massage or a longer one of your choice. Not worth your money! We stopped at Ala Moana and decided to get the 2 hour combo special, which they have POSTED for 120$ - then was charged 165$.. the only added thing was Tiger Balm. Mind you there was 2 of us there. The massage was more like squeezing, pinching and chopping.. there wasn't much massage or the feeling of knots being worked out. I handed the woman 10$ in tip at the end. Because I was definitely not feeling relaxed after that.... And the woman sitting at the front who up-charged my session then proceeded to tell me that I NEED to give 15% and 10$ doesn't cover - she added 20$ to my bill. Ridiculous place! There was little sense of privacy, which made it uncomfortable as a woman, and the staff engaged in excessive talking throughout the session, making it hard to relax. I've been curious about Massage Palace for a long time, but I have my usual massage place that I'm pretty loyal to. I finally folded recently and gave them a try, especially when I saw their $65 deal for 70 minutes. First, it was super easy to make a reservation and I appreciated that someone answered the phone right away; some Chinese massage places are inconsistent with answering their phones. Second, the main room is HUGE. The lighting was bright but they place a cover over your eyes. My only complaint was that my massage therapist had a light touch. I prefer deep pressure and I don't expect anything less when I get Chinese massages. Yes, I could have spoken up but the massage itself wasn't bad at all, so I stayed quiet and just let him do his thing. I did relax enough that I fell asleep halfway through the massage. I would definitely come back, but I will ask for more pressure next time. read more

Extremely rude receptionist. I walked in to pay ahead for my parents. She suggested I pay extra $5 for tiger balm, I kindly rejected and she didn't like that. She said it was going to be $165. I said it should be $80 because I only asked for 1 30min head, neck shoulder and 1 30min foot massage. She visibly was irritated. She then asked rudely if my parents had cash for tip. I told her I was going to pay tip. She then goes to say "people give $20 per person" mind you the 30min foot massage is $40.00. I asked her if I could see the screen for the machine as it was on the tip screen and she said no, to just tell her. By now i am upset and disappointed by the customer service I am receiving and said 20%. She then looks at me and says, I don't want cents. Enters a custom amount of an even number. Don't go here. Saw Christine for a massage and her massage was decent except she kept talking to the other massage therapist the whole time and would randomly burp in my ear. Worst part is when I tipped her she didn't say thank you and just snatched it and threw it on the table then walked away. I guess she was pissed that I tipped $15 instead of $20 on a $65 massage but I thought that was very rude of her. I will never go back to this place again. I was walking past this place while shopping at the mall. I'm a sucker for massages, and after last nights (lack of a good massage) experience with another place - thought I'd get another to make up for my disappointment. Why the 4 stars? Well, my attention was caught by their "special sign" posted. Immediately when I walked in I let the lady know I wanted the special. She mumbled and asked me to pick out an oil. I was surprised and was like "okay, I picked one". Much to my surprise, there was a $5 up charge. I disputed it more saying I did not hear that part and maybe they need to be more clear about it, and would have paid it because don't really care about $5. She did not charge me but did it with an attitude after I took a picture of the "special sign" and reminding her that I got zero offer of any "snacks" or "hot tea".... But whatever. Just can't help feel a bit slighted on the advertising part and the lack of clear costs of offering someone to pick an oil upon immediately walking in. Maybe put a sign there as well? My massage guy was FANTASTIC, zero issues with him. Will I come back? Likely, but always on a hunt for some great massage therapists! read more

Very disappointing experience. I originally booked a 90-minute body massage, but I wasn't feeling well and asked to switch to a shorter 30 minute foot massage instead. Despite clearly asking to shorten and change the service, I was still charged $90 for what exactly? I barely received even a few minutes of body massage before switching. On top of that, the front desk pressured me for a $50 tip, which felt completely unreasonable given the situation and service. There's also no privacy people can easily see you while you're getting your massage, which made me uncomfortable. And charging $17 for lavender oil is honestly a rip-off. I told her that I needed a back massage, too, because I had wrenched my back last month from lifting my aunty. I told my friend that I had seen Massage Palace next to Ringer Hut and always wanted to try it. There's free covered parking on the Mauka side of Ala Moana Center. It's so convenient! My called Massage Palace and made an appointment after seeing a $65 special on their website: 30 minute foot massage + 40 minute body massage... We drove over from church! After checking in with the receptionist, our feet were soaked in warm water. The chair reclined and later turned into a table with a hole in it so we could place our faces in the hole to breathe! Mia was my therapist. She was strong later and gentle in the beginning. She used her weight, elbows, and thumbs on pressure points. She removed my hair clip and massaged my scalp and neck! I was coming here for awhile and it was good .. but yesterday, I went in and this Asian man massaged me so hard with his elbow and my left shoulder is now unable to move.. it's soo painful. I noticed the moment he dug his elbow into the back of my shoulder.. I felt a tendon tear and immediately I felt a surge of pain.. I'm so irritated that I went here and why the fck did he do that so hard with his elbow... Some parts were a little sore, but overall a good experience. I didn't see my masseuse since they put a towel over my face for relaxation but she was very thorough and firm. I had a huge knot in my neck that bothered me for over a year and was planning to get it checked out.
