Terrible service and lack of communication on billing. This place will try to set you up stating they have flexible scheduling and cancellation policies to lure you in with a bait and switch. I haven't been to this place since November and all of sudden started getting billed again in March for services I no longer wanted. I was told by the rep that I would need to come in to cancel when I canceled after my previous service.. I was also told that by cancelling is no longer have access to the 4 hours they billed me for that I never authorized! This place is a rip off please don't sign up with them as it will cost you more than what the services and time is worth... wish I could give a 0 rating on how this issue was handled... no services were given yet no one wants to give my hard earned money back! First off I will say this review isn't based on the actual massage but the management staff. I was able to go in and get a message Pre-Covid and it was excellent. After Covid struck my wife was ill and I was unable to maintain my monthly dues due to medical costs which I understand is my responsibility, however one would expect a sense of humanity from the business. I called in and was notified I had 2.5 hours which I had paid for and wanted to use this weekend given my wife is well and able to watch our kids. I spoke with the rep who was very nice who put me on hold to speak to her manager. She came back stating for me to utilize the hours which I paid for I had to bring the account current. Given my financial situation that was not possible. I was then advised if I didn't get the account current in 30 days I would lose the hours in which I paid. I showed up for the Facebook $35 massage, not having read these reviews. Strike 1 was that when I walked in, they had a prominent sign telling me that $19 is an expected tip (20% of the full price massage which is allegedly $95). I nearly walked out just on that. Strike 2 is that they need an awful lot of information to give a massage, including my driver's license? I understand the medical forms, I've been to plenty of massages, but they wanted to know my profession?! I made something up when their iPad wouldn't let me leave it blank. I got into the room and the beds themselves were great. Comfortable, with heated pads, and wide. My massage was a little below average. I had told the therapist about areas of concern and they weren't fully addressed. In fact she saved those areas for last instead of starting there. Strike 3 is that on the exit, they made a fairly hard push for the membership. At first it was $10, and then "we ask for one month commitment at $65." I said no thanks, but that wasn't enough. She pushed, and then asked my wife if SHE wanted the membership. We have a membership already at La Vida, one mile north and only came to Massage Luxe for the discount. Beware, this place is a total scam. I do want to preface this description of the business by saying the massage therapist were very professional. Management is the problem. They run their business much like a stereotypical used car dealership or sleazy gym, including bait-and-switch tactics and providing misleading verbal agreements. Let me run you through the scam. They bring you in for a $35 first massage promotion. If you really need a massage, just get the one and run. They will offer you a $10 next massage that you can use in 30 days. Pretty good, right? They do not tell you that you are contractually obligated to continue through until the next month, then charge you $65. Then they will book you close to your next billing cycle day, call you to cancel the appointment that same day with some excuse and then tell you the next available appointment is during the next billing cycle. You are stuck into getting another monthly charge. If you cancel before you can get the massage, you lose your massage credits that you already paid for. No refunds. Oh, and no cancellations by phone or online, you need sign it in person. I am not sure why companies run businesses like this anymore, but learn from my mistake and avoid this place at all costs. read more

I've gotten multiple facials here and both the estethicians, Megan and Callijah, are very skilled and knowledgeable. I actually get results here!! I think the spa has a great interior design. It's laid out in a way that you can relax. They have a separate room that you're able to sit in before your massage so that you can Zen out. Most of the massage therapists that I've met are awesome. The staff at the front desk is the worst. Do not sign up for the monthly membership. I had specifically asked to not be placed with a certain massage therapist and had to change my days because of that. When I showed up I was assigned the therapist I asked not to be with. It put me in an awkward position because I didn't want to tell the therapist that I didn't want him doing my massage because I didn't want to make him feel bad. Then I had to sit through a massage that I didn't enjoy. I get different information every time I speak with someone at the front desk and 3x it has extra cost me money. I have tried to cancel my membership once with no success (I work in sales so I assume they are trying to keep their sale). I was charged another membership fee and "they are not able to issue a refund since there was no cancellation." There was no cancellation because your staff isn't properly trained or they have quotas that they have/want to hit that is clouding their mind with money and in the end giving out misinformation to your customers. Their timing is horrible as well. I have been to a lot of massage places and fancy places like Massage Luxe & Massage Envy usually cut off some of your time. They should show you the break down of your real table time so you know what your actually paying for. It doesn't take 10 minutes to get dressed and undressed. Also that doesn't even include the sales pitch your therapist has to make before your massage. Moreover, if you actually purchase an add on the clock is still rolling while they go get the things needed for add on (face mask, hair mask, etc). I know this puts your therapist is a bad position because I often blamed them too but now I realize it's just management/owners. Take pride in your business and think of the experience that customer has & also think of the environment you create for your employees. read more

I had to update my review. I was their regular here and I signed up to their monthly member service which is $65 a month. It was either a one hour body massage or one hour facial. I usually get the massages. Since I like going on thursdays, my therapist is usually David. He's the best. He's the only reason why I remained being their member. Unfortunately, that day David was not working. I really needed a massage and wanted unwind have a relaxed day for myself. I asked them if they can refer me to a different massage therapist close to David because I love his work. They gave me Maria. I also told them I needed someone with big hands and someone who knows what they were doing. This person did not know what they were doing. Worst massage ever!! I felt like a 5 year old child was giving me a massage it sucked so bad!! And I had my face down for 60 mins!!! She was supposed to tell me to flip over. I felt like I could not breathe. Such a waste of time and money. After the massage I was mad and irritated, they charged me for my monthly member service and lucky me I had no change in my wallet. I always tip even though the massage sucked. So I gave maria a $20. I told front desk cancel my membership. She asked if I wanted it frozen I told her no just cancel it. I dont think I would trust this place again. When I ask for someone to give a good therapist please dont give me the worst one you have. Thats how you lose your clients. Never will go back. I have been very impressed with this location. While I loved them before the Covid outbreak, they have continued to improve. I appreciate the care and effort all of the employees have made to ensure cleanliness and efficiency. My therapist raved about management & the owners and all of the steps they took to prepare for reopening. I am looking forward to my next massage. read more

Liars and scammers! They looked me in the face and lied to me. I visited them last month because my husband got me a gift card for my birthday. After my initial massage they talked me into a monthly membership when they advised that at any time I could cancel my membership or that I could skip any months I choose not to come in; I would just need to call them and request that they do not run my credit card. I just called them to request that they not charge me the $105 fee for November and they refused, claiming that I'm required to try them for at least 30 days, even though I was there for a service in October. This was never explained to me when they gave me the sales pitch. They already got $200 from my husband when he got me a gift card for my birthday, which the full value hasn't even been used so we're already at a loss and now they're going to squeeze another $105 from me, when I'm financially in a bad way due to the pandemic. These people are liars & Crooks! So I went in on their $35 special that they were advertising on Facebook for their grand opening. The massage was great I will give them that. When I was finished, I was sold on another $10 deal for a membership for a month where I could get two more free massages as long as I cancelled it before the 21st of October. That was what I thought an excellent deal! So I go in and have my two more massages. When I came in for my second one, no one said anything to me they just showed me to the lounge. I had a wonderful massage that I enjoyed very much but when I was finished, I was told that I owed them $50 for that massage. When I began to explain that I was told it was free the same girl who told me that it would be free lied to my face! And said that she never said that. So then I was forced to sit there and wait for the manager until she got back from her shopping trip at Target. Very professional isn't it? When the manager finally got there , she didn't even acknowledge me! I was so anxious to get out of there I just gave them their money. Then I find out in order to cancel the membership I first have to pay $5 to freeze my account before they can cancel it. I would highly advise you not to give this business a dime. I wish they had the option to leave zero stars. My mom and I purchased some of the specials they advertised and when we went in to use them, they told us that we we had to pay an additional $10 each to use the massages we had already purchased the next time we came in. They said it would start us memberships but we could just cancel the next time we came in. They gave us no other option and we didn't want to lose our money. Today we went in for our massages and at the end now they want us to pay AN ADDITIONAL $70 for the massages we just got! On top of the $70 we already paid for the special and the additional $20 we paid last time. So basically they charged us $160 for two massages. We tried to reason with them and told them that my mom is on an autoimmune suppressant and should not have even come out of the house for our massages today nonetheless a monthly membership we were promised we could cancel. They were disrespectful beyond belief. If this is how your employees treat people, I do not see your establishment lasting much longer. read more

Scheduled a last second prenatal massage and they had no problem getting me in within a few hours. I had quite a bit of tension in my upper and lower back walking into the appointment but by the time I walked out, all of my pain was gone. David was a fantastic and professional therapist. Went on for a prenatal one hour massage and the massage was great and David was sure to address all concerns that I had mentioned. What I didn't really care for was the smell which is sewage smelling. It could be a temporary issue but it was not pleasant! Also, when purchasing a one hour massage take into account the time they use to register you. My massage did not start until 15 minutes past the scheduled time and was still completed promptly at the 55 minute scheduled window. So really you are getting about a 40 minute massage. read more

I was not expecting this at all, but I received a phone call from Massage Luxe a few weeks after my initial visit and subsequent Yelp review. I received an apology for the service I was given on my first visit, and an offer for a comped massage. I made an appointment for this afternoon with a a massage therapist who the lady on the phone recommended, named Vanna. And I can say that they did not disappoint !! Vanna was amazing ! Professional and so good at her craft ! Her technique was fantastic. I was so incredibly relaxed I could have fallen asleep right after my massage ! You could tell she really cared to do a good job. I am ticklish by the back of my knees and upper leg (wierd I know) . I told her this and that most people just tickle me too much . She asked if she could try a former pressure there and see how I liked it. I said sure. Of all the messages I have ever received, she is the only one who didn't tickle when she massaged my legs. Fabulous job and I will definitely be back. I am also impressed with Massage Luxe for caring to make it right. You more than redeemed yourselves and I will recommend you to friends :) read more

First time ever getting a massage, Tim was great he helped loosen me up. I would like to see him again. Very clean facility and relaxing. I would give 5 but I just felt like the rebooking was super pushy I had to reiterate many times that I need to figure out what works best with my schedule. I felt like I was being rude I'm sorry, I know rebooking is important but I just don't see the logic in rebooking when I don't know what day or time I would be available to see Tim again.
