I decided to wait to do my review after receiving a couple of massages and facials. First off, the price is fair. They have a monthly subscription, which I wasn't crazy about; however, I did take advantage of a "2 for 1" deal and subscribed for 1 month only to use this. I'd expect around $110-120 for a massage/facial and tip, though. My first massage was underwhelming. I didn't catch the man's name, but it wasn't amazing. I had tons of massaging of my back, but very little elsewhere. He was pleasant, but the massage was mediocre. My second massage was better. I did catch his name, John, and he was very pleasant and very concerned with my comfort. The massage I received from him was great. One thing I'll add: I guess head massages don't happen here. I didn't receive one from either the massages or the facials. Both facials were received from Shayna, and she did a great job. She was nice and paid attention to detail. I liked her so much, she may be the reason I go back in a few months. We will see. I did notice, when I told them I wanted to cancel my membership, the manager's demeanor toward me rapidly changed. I assume it was the manager, as supposedly she was the only one who could cancel my membership. She was very nice until I told her i needed to cancel. She didn't even walk me back to the waiting room, even though there wasn't anyone else to wait on. She wasn't rude, just dismissive. read more

I came in tonight for a facial after I received a gift certificate. I will say scheduling the appointment, super simple and the woman at the front desk and then Kelly made it so easy for me. I was hesitant about using this gift certificate and hold onto it for over a year because I've always had terrible terrible experiences at these locations. They always nickel and dime you and want you to sign up for their membership. It's very stressful coming in typically. When I came in today to check in for the appointment, everyone was very nice and accommodating. I was checked in within a few minutes. When I got back from my facial originally we were going to do appeal and I was under the impression this was OK but I had mentioned about wearing my bra because I am breast-feeding and I didn't want to leak and then she had said we couldn't do the pill because I was breast-feeding, so it was aggravating that they did not review my form. If I had not mentioned this and got appeal , would've not been able to feed my baby because it can be dangerous so that was scary. During the facial there was a lot of downtime. There was not any massaging typically when I get facials at another location. They always massage my chest, shoulder, my neck area, even my face and my temples, but this facial included none of that which was disheartening. I feel like I only really had a facial for about 10 minutes because like previously much and there's a lot of downtime or I was just laying there. You could also hear her cleaning while I was just laying there and I think those things should be done at the end, because it was very hard to relax with the dripping water and the dishes banging around. When I went to leave, there was no one at the front desk, and some of the lights were off so it appeared as if they were closed. I did see one gentleman and he just smiled at me. I looked around couldn't find another employee, so I just left. It was very strange. Leah did call me about 10 minutes after I left saying she missed me on the way out I explained I thought they were closed and we both just laughed about it. She stated she was in the back taking care of something. Overall though, customer service is great, I will maybe come back and try again. read more

I was getting 60 mins massages. I've tried two different therapists. They Do a good job. I drive 5-10 minutes early. They usually start me 5 minutes after my scheduled appt and stop the massage ten minutes before appt. That means at least 15 minutes wasted and I only got actual 45 minutes of massage. I am trying a different company bc I want me actual 60 minutes I paid for. read more

This is a great MassageLuxe franchise location. They keep the premises up-to-date and clean and I really enjoy the Hydro massage that comes free with my membership for drop in visits between massages. Everyone at the front desk is always courteous and friendly. I've been a MassageLuxe member for almost 20 years. If you read the contract and understand the membership, there should be no complaints. Everything is laid out. I even paused my membership during the pandemic for only $5 per month in order to keep my membership open and so I didn't lose the massages I have "in the bank."' Since the time I first joined, I have paused my membership at least three different times without any issues whatsoever. They do recommend that you pause the membership in person and not over the phone. Membership ensures that I get a great rate for massages & facials and there are always great deals to purchase gift cards at discounted rates. I also enjoy using my credits toward facials and upgrading massages and facial services. My only complaint is that they don't have anyone who is trained in reflexology and I have never found a massage therapist that can give an adequate foot massage. read more

THIS PLACE DOES NOT HONOR APPOINTMENTS YOU BOOK! I am so disappointed to be writing this review.... truly shocked at how little this place cares about their clients. My husband and I were SO excited to spend our anniversary getting a couples massage here. I called weeks in advance and even gave a date range of the weekend before our anniversary, the weekend after, or the entire week of (only cavoite being that if it was during the week, 4pm was the earliest as we both work and could not take off too much time.) When booking, the woman on the phone told me that 4pm on a Thursday would be no problem at all so we were able to book the appointment on our anniversary. Fast forward to the day of our SCHEDULED couples massage, I get a call at 10am letting me know that they can no longer get us in the couples room at 4pm, our options were to get us in the couples room at 3pm or get separate massages at 4pm. We did not want separate rooms and specifically chose this location because of that. We also could not make it in at 3pm. I asked if we could cancel and reschedule if those were our only options today to which Kylie told me that she "won't even charge me a cancelation fee".... I sure hope not because I didn't cancel.... At this point, I am feeling frustrated but I understand people get sick, call in, or just general mistakes can happen with scheduling. When rebooking our new appointment, I asked how I can ensure we will be in the couples room this time as that was the most important part to me. Kylie stated that the towel warmer for that room broke and the new one should be there this afternoon, just not by 4pm. Things stopped making sense at that point so I asked how they would be able to get us in the couples room at 3pm if the towel warmer wont be there until after 4pm. She started giggling and basically told me that if no one is coming in by 3pm, they won't have masseuses available. Maybe this is all a huge misunderstanding, I truly hope so, but, it's the morning of my anniversary, this is the big ticket item we put money aside for to treat ourselves, and now it sounds like I'm getting the run around because someone wants to go home early... To me, it is poor management to allow your employees to leave if there is someone on the books. Additionally, I would have been much more apt to reschedule if some sort of extra service was offered, discount maybe, or even just a simple apology with some honesty. If I could give a 0 star review I would. I got a massage over a year ago and they told me I could buy one get one free. So of course I did it! Turns out, they put me on a MONTHLY membership. $75 a month on a credit card I haven't used in months. I always pay my monthly statements, usually aimlessly... but this time I said to myself "OK how on Earth do I have another $300 to pay off on this card that I don't use?!" ...Massage Luxe. That's how. For 15 months I've been paying a monthly membership and haven't been there at all. After I called, they told me I have 14 hours of massages to use, but if I cancel my "membership" those 14 hours will expire in 60 days. AND if I want to "get certificates" and extend to 6 months expiration, I have to pay $20 for each hour I want to extend!!!! Are you kidding me?! I have 2 babies under 2 and you think I have the time or money to get these hours used??? Over eleven-hundred dollars out the window! Crooks. I never signed up for a monthly membership, or should I say I DIDN'T KNOW they signed me up! I would NEVER have done that knowingly. Unreal. Careful with those front desk ladies. And check your bank accounts if you end up going!!!! read more

This location has been an absolute nightmare! Not only have I complained about two of the times that I went there were really loud children running up and down the call (children of the receptionist), and it happened again. But also twice I have called to confirm if I had hours I could give away to my husband to join me, on the phone they said "yes" but then after the massage they "just found" that it hadn't been enough time since the last gifted hour so he'd have to pay out of pocket. I requested to cancel my membership that day and the woman at the front desk did a few things on her computer and said it was taken care of. Months later I noticed I was still being charged. I called and the manager informed me that there would have been paperwork/forms to complete when I canceled - which the employee failed to provide and follow the proper procedure. I asked that since it was not my fault that the employee wasn't trained properly, if I could get a refund from the months that I was told I no longer had a membership and then certificates for massages I still had pending for the months before I requested my membership canceled. The manager agreed to that but I would have to come in and handle it. I went in the next day and the manager wasn't there and apparently hadn't informed anyone so there was "nothing" they could do. For the next 8 weeks I kept calling (I would have gone in person but I moved far away), and could never get in contact with the manager. Finally, I canceled my credit card - they have charged me for nearly a year of massages that I CANCELED. Still waiting for my promised refund that is now about $700. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY - even if you don't have billing issues with them, it's loud and they are SO rude. read more

I have had a membership for 5+ years. I rarely use the service but still continue to pay my monthly dues. I visit a few different locations without any issues most of the time. However, today is a different story. On 1/4/18 after my visit to this location for a 1.5 hour massage and facial I asked how I might be able to use up more of my prepaid "hours" other than facials and massages. I was told that I can gift an hour for $10! How awesome. I have lots of friends and family that would love to spend an hour getting a massage! So my sweet husband called to schedule an appointment for my sister and I. He called Cottleville but no one answered so he called St. Charles and said that I would be using a prepaid hour for my sister. Jen said "that doesn't go into affect until 2/1/18 but I'll give it to you anyway." Great! Thank you. My sister and I arrive. I tell them my name and inform them that my sister was using one of my hours. No problem, she gives them her name and phone number. We get our massages. Come out and guess what, Lindsay M. can't do that. Even though it is notated in the account and that I informed the staff BEFORE we went back for our massages. Why would your employees deceive their clients like this? Everyone is pushing the blame on another person. Yet Raven M. did it 20 times yesterday for other clients but wouldn't do it for me when I've been told by 2 separate locations, St. Charles and Cottleville, that it was an option. Angie, Cottleville manager, spoke with Raven M. from the St. Charles location, on the phone and said that NO employees of hers told me that.....of course I try to reach her but there is no sense of urgency there. So you are saying I just came up with the idea that I can gift one of my hours for $10. Yet it's being done for others per Raven M. Completely unprofessional. I will now drive all the way to Wentzville for my remaining hours and cancel my membership! Never doing business with these FRANCHISE locations, that can't keep good help, again! I have been a massage luxe member since 2012 and going to this location since it opened in 2016. This year I have started going to Hailey for facial services and couldn't be happier. She is always on time (something VERY important to me), professional and always recommends great things for me. I like to get microdermabrasion and i can always tell an improvement in my skin afterwards. She started me on a skincare regime that I have been following at home and my skin is definitely firming up (a major deal to us in our 40s) and looks good. There was a short time when the staffing there wasn't the best and I had a lot of cancelled appointments but for the last year it has been great. The people working the front desk have always been friendly and helpful. I was nervous going in during the Covid stuff but they are sanitary, wearing masks and seem to be very cautious. Don't do it! My membership was supposed to be frozen at $5 a month since Oct 2019. Unfortunately my husband pays the credit card bill without looking very closely at the charges and I just discovered they have been charging my account $58.88 monthly since Nov 2019. When I called and talked to the manager she said the only thing she could do is credit one month and that an owner would contact me. That has not happened. I was told if I canceled my membership I would have to use all of my accumulated credit in the next 60 days. Well I am a nurse and my husband a physician that both work in a hospital and have been careful to keep our distance from others to keep everyone safe. I am certainly NOT willing to get a massage at this point. When questioned how they could possibly charge clients for a membership while they were closed during the pandemic, I was told they were available to take emails and return phone calls. I had the worst experience ever yesterday and I recommend DO NOT support this business! Very unqualified and unprofessional staff and a very rude careless manager. We made an appointment for 3 people yesterday and only after sending two of the ladies back, they informed me that they didn't have an appointment for me today and I had to go wait outside for my friends. I asked her to please go tell my friends so that we can just leave and she never went and told them!! After their massages, my friends were very upset like why did you not tell us? The massage itself was fine. But I got there ten minutes early like they requested, since it was my first time. Sat in the waiting room for about 20 min. Then when l got back to the room, my massage didn't start until 3:10 pm...and when she said it was all done, it was still 7 minutes to 4:00 pm. So the 60 minute massage I was paying for, was less than 45 minutes long. I live out of state so I didn't know what I was getting in to. But I definitely would never go back here. read more

I warn you, don't go to this place!! The service is crap, super expensive and what they do is basically rub lotion on your body instead of really getting to trigger points to relax you and your stressed muscles. Terrible experience!!! I am 7 months pregnant and was really looking forward to a massage but left this place so angry and furious. The girl basically rubbed lotion on my body even though I asked multiple times for more pressured on my hands, feet, back, arms and legs. She acted very irritated with me and didn't care. Certain areas I get she couldn't put much pressure since I am pregnant but the areas I asked for she could. Every minute of the "massage" just made me angry bc she ignored my requests and at the end of it all I had to pay $100 and $10 in tip for the shittiest service I have ever received. I should have never given her a tip but I was so angry I couldn't even think straight. I have no problem paying for a good service but it makes me furious to have to pay for such a shitty experience. I get massages regularly and have been to so many wonderful places but wanted to try this one out since is so close to my house. Oh, how I regret going there!! My, oh my. Went in a couple days ago - they were truly amazing. Received an amazing massage. The ladies up front were very hospitable and courteous. The therapist was gave me a deep tissue massage (helped get some of these kinks out of my back), and I felt like I had a new back. Definitely recommend this over Massage Envy. They know how to treat their guests, almost like they're Kim Kardashian. read more
