I just learned from a friend of mine that this business is openly criticizing me for a bad review that I provided for one of their therapists who provided a horrible massage. She apparently wasn't feeling well. She performed the massage with plastic gloves, and she had the sniffles and was wearing a pig ring in her nose. It was a very uncomfortable experience and not worth the money invested. Farmers have been using "pig rings" for years to keep pigs from digging under fences. Nothing derogatory just an observation of fact. The owner should have advised her to stay home until she was over her cold. They even provided my friend a photo of the review. I had a 9:00 am appointment this morning. I had never been there before, but they had a $59 first time client gift card. So, I bought the gift card and made the appointment. I just got my first massage here and my expectations were far exceeded for the massage itself. The environment could use a little refresh. I feel like for the area it should reflect a more high end vibe, but for me, I'm not there to hangout I'm there to have a great massage so I don't feel like it was worth knocking a star. I had Daphne and she seriously was the best. I have never had a massage where someone is actually feeling my problem areas and able to work them seamlessly without me having to ask. They also have a hydro bed that you can use before your appointment that is beyond relaxing. It gets warm and is a gentle massage before going in for your service. Literally the only thing that did kindof bother me was the face portion of the massage bed. I'm not sure if I am just too small or the adjustment was off but it was super uncomfortable at times. Again, I didn't feel it was worth of knocking a star but felt like it may be beneficial to point it out. I did and up signing up for a membership. With how great the massage was, I feel like it will be a nice way to treat myself every month. Some reviews I read seemed like people who didn't do their research prior to going to the location or before signing up for their membership so I would take them lightly. This location has the same problem every other massage establishment has which is high turnover so you never know what kind of massage you are going to get. The WORST massage EVER!!!! I should've read the reviews first! I purchased the $99 gift certificate offer they had going on around Mother's Day. The offer included 90 minutes and 2 add ons. I selected aroma therapy and the foot scrub. This was my 1st time coming to this place. I get to my appointment 15 minutes early. The massage therapist comes to get me about 20 minutes after my appointment time. I don't even think the girl I had is a massage therapist. The entire massage she did on me was with her forearm. She was literally massaging my neck with her forearm instead of her hands. I kept asking her what she was doing because it was uncomfortable! She barely used any oil during the massage. Then she was telling me she previously worked at a chiropractor in Chinatown. She put the foot scrub on my feet without doing a massage and wrapped my foot in a warm towel for about 2 minutes. She takes the towel off, and proceeds to wipe my feet with her hands to get the foot scrub off then wipes her hands on her clothes!!! I look at her and asked her what are you doing??? Why don't you use a towel?? She responds "Oh that's a good idea." Like seriously I can't make this up! At that point she tells me she's done even though it wasn't a full 90 minutes! So I only had part of my neck and back done with foot scrub that was barely wiped off. I told her she can leave out so I can get dressed! I put my clothes on and left immediately! Worst service ever! After being a "member" of MassageLuxe, Covid hit, and as a member of a most vulnerable population, I stayed away. However, MassageLuxe continued to withdraw monthly funds of about $60. I then put the account on hold (for $5 monthly) because if you cancel, you lose hours accumulated. I then moved to a location where the nearest Massage Luxe is 45 minutes away. So, I filed a complaint with the BBB and the MO Attorney General. I was told once you file a complaint against them, they cancel your account and you lose all your money. I'm in the hole for almost $1k with them, and they basically seem to act on revenge. They won't refund, no matter the circumstances. Bad Business read more

I scheduled it for Saturday afternoon only to receive a phone call two hours before the scheduled massage to tell me the massage therapist had to go home. Apparently they do not have replacements so I scheduled for Sunday. I missed the appointment and they cashed my Groupon. I understand I should have cancelled but the fact that they did not give me a courtesy when they had originally failed to keep my initial appointment is beyond unprofessional and strictly company-focused. Friendly staff and clean spa! From making the appointment to being greeted to the actual massage, the entire staff was accommodating and friendly. Convenient location off of 83 too. I purchased the Groupon for the 1 hr massage and 15 min hydrotherapy session. Called to book a prenatal massage and they were great about honoring my Groupon after the expiration date considering they did not have a massage tech that could do a prenatal sooner. They can accommodate prenatal massages and do have a certified tech, however the bed is the regular bed and then a side body pillow is added. My appointment was for 2pm. I arrived early to fill out paperwork and went back to my appointment at 2:15pm. The massage started just after 2:20pm, but the lights were not dimmed and the technician who was as sweet as could be wanted to chat with me. I was on my left side for 10-15 min, then I switched to my right side...she dimmed the lights and stopped talking. After 10-15 min, she asked that I switch to my back. Not ideal for someone nearing the end of their 2nd trimester to be on their back for 10-15 min. The actual massage was very good. Being on my back was not great though and I did have some pain afterwards. Massage ended at 3pm. I was not offered hydrotherapy. This might be due to my pregnancy?? Not sure. Not thrilled that overall I had a 40 min massage and really only 30 min considering the part that was a true dimmed light/eyes closed type of massage. It would have been nice to be offered a few extra minutes of massage due to the late start and lack of offer for the hydrotherapy. If you schedule a massage, definitely ask for him. My experience with the front desk has been pleasant as well! Not sure why so many people are giving 1 star reviews based on the front desk but I don't think it's an accurate reflection nor do I think it's fair to skew the salon's average based on that alone. This facility is warm friendly staffed and is marvelous. My massage therapist alexis is professionally trained and has made me tingle. Ive had massages before but the work alexis did is one like a mastercraftsman working on a porsche. Im a pinto. She made me feel great and beyond great - amazing. Im sure others will make you feel like a rolls royce. I highly recommend this place and try that jet bed ...it will put spring in your step again. This place opened recently and was running a special for new customers, $38 for a one-hour massage. After visiting, I guess you could say that it's a case of getting what you pay for. The place is clean and the staff is nice. I walked in, filled out the typical pre-massage paperwork, and they gave me a small bottle of water. Met my masseuse, and I explained how I had cramped up my neck and shoulder due to sleeping wrong. She said that she could focus on that area. I had asked for a high-pressure, deep tissue massage. What I got was what I would call a low/mid-pressure Swedish massage, which I generally find unhelpful. With a long history of car accidents, bad posture, and alligator wrestling, I need serious, back-punishing massage work. I was let down. What's worse, the masseuse didn't focus on my neck/shoulder area as I requested. Instead, after it was over, she told me, "You have a lot of tightness in your shoulders. I didn't work on them too much because I didn't want you to be sore tomorrow. Maybe next time we can work on them." Hadn't I asked for them to get worked on this time? (I admit, I was a little suspicious that she might have deliberately skimmed on the shoulder work to try and get me to come in again.) The massage rooms are comfortable, but so close to the front of the shop and the hallway that work noise and conversations easily bled through the relaxation music, which is your typical Wyndham Hill new age nature jazz garbage vomited forth from whatever machine they've invented to make that crap. And when you leave, you get a sales pitch to join their membership program, and put down $60 a month for a one-hour massage every month. (Oh, but they'll waive the $99 enrollment fee...funny how gyms and places like this always act like that's a bargain.) In the end, I walked out of Massage Luxe feeling exactly the same as I did walking in--the mark of a bad massage. But at least I was $53 lighter. The two-star Yelp rating of "Meh. SCAM ARTISTS & RUDE MANAGEMENT (Jason particularly) If I could give 0 stars for service I would. Manager Jason is RUDE and awful to deal with. I don't know how he expects to earn customer business with the way he treats people. Do not sign up for the monthly massage deal. It's a complete SCAM!!! They will charge your credit card even after you cancel, and then claim it's your fault because they can't find your cancellation form on file. I have been reaching out to them for three months to straighten out this issue. September: month #1, first unauthorized charge of $58.88 I was polite, and I though they fixed the glitch. October: month #2, second unauthorized charge of $58.88 I saw another charge of $58.88 on my credit card statement, and I called again. I was more forceful this time, yet still polite. November: month #3, third unauthorized charge of $58.88 I lost my shit when I saw a third charge on my statement. Today is 11/27, and my fifth time calling this month to fix this glitch (overall 7th call). Jason was unexpectedly rude today and I decided my next best step is to report them to my credit card company. They are now handling this issue. I'd like to make a quick addition to my review. I did also get sucked into the monthly massage. I do like the program as for me it forces me to take time out for it. I saved minutes and like to to the 90 minutes, less often. I will say I noticed on my second visit that its not the full 90 minutes. I was there 10 minutes early, and waited until the exact start of my appt time before I was taken back (maybe even a few minutes late). By the time I change, we get started etc its less. Then it was over probably 10 minutes short. I did feel a little taken advantage of, but as another poster mentioned the fine print - I didn't take that long to review it (shame on me). As it stands I used Tomas again, and he does a good job. I am happy with the massage but if I am paying for 90 minutes, I would like 90 minutes, not 75 or 80. If I am scheduled to start at 1:30 I would like to be ready to go at 1:30 not just being greet ed at 1:33. That would be my biggest feedback. read more

I purchased this groupon and had my first massage back in March of 2013. I have been getting professional massages for about (5) years now and have tried (7) different licensed professionals. Any hour massage is compromised of 10 minutes of dressing, undressing and prep time and 50 minutes of actual massage time. I did sign up for the monthly membership on my first visit and have been a member ever since. The customer service at the front desk is also excellent. The first massage was good but average, so I asked about a different masseuse. I have had (5) massages by Chris (4) deep tissue massages and (1) sports massage, and he is AMAZING!!! He listens he understands what you are requesting and works very hard to make sure your muscles are relaxed and knot free. I hope you have an equally wonderful experience. read more

I came for a Swedish massage and that's exactly what I got. The staff are friendly and professional. I came 10 minutes early. Never waited long for my masseuse. The hour massage does end up being around 50 min to allow for dressing time. This is clearly stated by-the-way. The masseuse asked me what I would like focused in and delivers.
