Went here with a Groupon. Expectations were very low based on other reviews. My massage did last 50-55 minutes so that was not bad. It could have been a stronger massage, but in general it was a good experience. The water bed massage after was extremely boring to me, but perhaps that's just me. For the price of the groupon is was well worth it. I would not go back there either as a monthly member or for a non-member massage. Cost too high for this kind of service. Went here with a gift card for a 1 hour massage. Appointment was for 11am, I was taken back at exactly 11am and the massage started at probably 11:05am. My massage ended at 11:50am. Not sure why it would be a 45 minute massage when paid for an hour. The service itself was sub par. I could've had my girlfriend rub lotion all over me for free, and a better massage. I work out frequently and was expecting a thorough massage on the legs and glutes. No massage on the glutes and barely any on the thighs, it was almost all calves. Also only a small amount of time on the neck and no massage to head or facial muscles. These muscles can hold a lot of stress so not sure why that's not included in a full body massage. The front desk was very professional and nice!Since it was my first time they offered me 15min on the hydroluxe after my massage. Honestly this thing gave me a better massage than my therapist. Rachel was a great esthetician! I received the seaweed facial and I really enjoyed it. She made me feel very comfortable and was very personable. She even gave me recommendations to maintain my skin and gave great advice. I felt very comfortable and would personally request her when I return. I received a deep tissue massage from Jennifer and thoroughly enjoyed that as well. I liked how she asked me exactly what areas I wanted to target before getting on the table. Jennifer used the perfect amount of pressure and always made sure I was comfortable. She also gave me suggestions that I can use in the future. I learned about this business from Groupon, however, I wish I had not signed up for the monthly membership plan. Once they start taking out monthly, they make it difficult to cancel , by requiring you to cancel in person , and they add fees if you skip a month. Nice atmosphere, massage was ok, but I was sore for days afterwards. I find it a little pricey.They also start timing your session from when you enter the waiting room, not when your massage starts. I recently brought my teenage daughter for her first facial. We had an appointment with Rachel. She was very prompt to our appointment time (a big pet peeve when they run late) I could tell right from the beginning it was going to be a positive experience. My daughter is experiencing some acne and Rachel did a thorough consultation as to what we could expect from it. After the facial was over my daughter told me it is something she would like to regularly do to control her blemishes. Rachel told us what products will help with that in between facials. I've been here twice, decided to sign up for a membership after my first massage because it is close to my home and it was only $10 more than what I was spending that day anyways. First experience was obviously a positive one but this second go around was by far the best experience I have had out of all massages I have ever received. LEXIE will be my go to masseuse from here on out. She listened to everything I had to say, did an absolutely amazing job on the massage and even had some great chat during the massage. She even gave me a little bio freeze left over from my treatment to take home because I've been having some severe back pain. Such a sweet girl and great at what she does. I've been here twice before (once about 2 years ago, the other 3 days ago). The first massage I got was good, the one I got a couple days ago has still left my shoulders feeling bruised and tense. Both times I've been here the front desk workers are more preoccupied with talking to each other in the office than helping the front desk. It was about closing time, but you still don't need to yell to each other from the office to the front desk. Not the worst massage place I've ever been to, but unless I'm in a pinch I think I'll go back to the competitors next time. read more

I've been coming here for a few years and I really like this place. Chris is my go-to guy for massages. He's super friendly and his massages are SO good. For facials my favorite is Rachel. She does an amazing job and my skin always looks and few so great when I leave. My boyfriend actually notices and compliments my skin after one of her facials. She really knows her stuff and she is so sweet and friendly. Plus I love that she never pushes me to by products like some places do. Highly recommend! read more

Unbelievable! They are allowed to cancel their appointments with you at any given time without reason but refuse to extend the same courtesy if you request to reschedule due to, at least in my situation, safety concerns. My appointment was cancelled. I asked if it was possible to perhaps get in at a later time. They ended up rescheduling me. A couple hours later a severe winter storm warning is issued for the appointment time frame. I did not feel safe commuting during a snow storm, so I immediately attempted to call to reschedule for another day but they had closed earlier than their usual closing time. I called back as soon as I woke up the following day but since it wasn't within '6 hours' of my appointment (my call was 3 hours before the app. time), I was informed I would lose what I paid if I didn't come in for the appointment. I asked for the manager on 3 different occasions during our conversation and was even put on hold at one point. It wasn't until the 3rd time I requested to speak with the manager, I'm told she, Lulu, is the manager (with the way she handled the call and avoided answering my request to speak with the manager, I doubt she's the actual manager). Lulu also acknowledged my attempt to call the day before based on caller id records but still refused to allow me to reschedule. In addition to a total and complete disregard for my safety concerns, there were other parts of our conversation that made it quite clear they do not care for or respect their clientele nor are they interested in retaining their customers. It's all about self-interest and how to trap you with their 'fine print' to get your money. I have gone to multiple locations, been a member, bought and used their gift cards but I am done! I have to doubt I was speaking to the actual manager because in all my years of being a consumer, my experiences with managers have been positive. Typically they are willing to work with their customers because they care about the reputation of their company and customer satisfaction. Not this place. Lulu told me point blank she does not care about reviews or if my friends or family stop patronage. Good to know! It's hard to swallow that while she admitted I called the day before to cancel, she still refused to accommodate my request to reschedule based on the unsafe travel conditions. If you choose to use their services, be warned they will not work with you and they do not care about your situation or safety. At the same time, they will cancel on you at the drop of a dime. He was very rude to me. I filed a complaint with the BBB because there massage package is a scam and a way to steal money from people. I had an appointment with Hannah today (first time customer) and it was the absolute best massage I have ever had in my life. Truly an amazing deep tissue massage. I will definitely be scheduling with her again. The environment was clean and relaxing (music/lighting/decor). Very friendly and professional staff. Hit or miss having a good experience at this spa. Last appointment was not relaxing as planned. Back room with a folding dividing wall between two massage rooms and spa music playing in background could not drown out the laughter or loud conversation from being overheard in the next room. This spa has hired an inexperienced masseuse that wore rubber gloves and did not use various techniques to warm or stretch muscles before over working knots and leaving me in pain. Nor was I asked if I had any medical conditions or injuries before digging his elbow into my shoulders, kneading and twisting on my back without the sensitivity of changing pressure or strokes when I grimaced or when I pulling away with a groan of pain. I spoke with the manager afterward who's only response was , "We'll mark your file to never schedule you with him again." No comment on the loud conversations that sounded more like a cocktail hour than a spa hour at the MassageLuXe. Experienced spas goer suggests you pass on this spa. read more

I ended up getting a Groupon for a massage with hydra bed session so I shouldn't have been too surprised my visit was just meh. My bed session was cut short and I feel like they have specific masseuse's for these deals because they came in right before my scheduled time and I saw them leave after I tipped them. My person was fairly young and you could tell by how awkward our interaction was that they don't know how to talk to someone that's never had a massage before and also they were just really awkward to talk to. I informed them it was my first time and they asked me questions about knots and stress points. I have no idea where on my back I would have knots seeing as I can't reach back there and I don't know what they feel like. I addressed this with them and they stated at me like I was an idiot. Again, this was my first time ever. I went in for a light swedish massage and they went in super hard on my thighs/calfs and it was extremely difficult for me to relax. I googled the difference between a swedish and deep tissue massage before hand so I knew I wouldn't be taking on too much to handle but they ignored my request once they got to my lower extremities and left me really sore which sucked since I work 24 hour shifts. Maybe I will try to request a massuese that has more seniority at the next place I go to but I don't recommend this place. The customer service was very "just okay". read more

I went here for a massage today. The place is very beautiful and I was looking forward to my massage as I have a lot of knots and sore spots. When I made the appointment ALSO when I spoke with the therapist I SAID I WANTED A DEEP TISSUE MASSAGE. I also told her I didn't want any other part of my body worked on just my back, neck, and shoulders. After waiting for the therapist and filling out the paper work it was 15 minutes after my SCHEDULED appointment time. The massage therapist worked on my back for 5 MINUTES and it was defiantly not a DEEP TISSUE massage. Then she made me turn around and "stretched out my neck" for 20 minutes. THAT IS NOT WHAT I ASKED FOR!!!! I WANTED A DEEP TISSUE, 1 HOUR MASSAGE. I looked at the time when she was done with the massage and it was 3:51. So she started 15 minutes late and she ended 10 MINUTES early. She was very nice and she seemed to know a lot of knowledge about what she was doing but she just did not listen to what I wanted. read more

I tried this place through a groupon special and word of mouth. We were taken in right away and my therapist, Rebecca, worked on the areas I was having issues with. I tried the Swedish, but she also specializes in deep tissue. The facility was clean. I was offered complimentary water before and after. First time trying the Hydroluxe therapy bed and it was a great ending to the day at the Spa. Nearby, convenient, and they had enough openings unlike other massage places that are booked weeks in advanced. If you haven't been, definitely try it! read more

Ugh, this was honestly the worst massage I've ever received. Beautiful decor in this place tho. That's where the 2 stars come into this equation. I went on a Sunday afternoon and no joke the therapist was coughing, covering her mouth with her hands and then putting them directly on my skin. Gross and not very relaxing. Also, the massage consisted of A LOT of 'acupressure' that I didn't want. All I wanted was MASSAGING and movement on my back Instead she would pinch/hold my skin for like 30 seconds at a time in different areas. This is my first review. I usually don't write reviews, but my experience here was horrible. So, I bought two Groupons for my mom and I for a massage. It sounded like a nice deal. 1hr massage with 15min hydroluxe (waterbed massage). We got here 10 min prior to our 12pm appointment. Filled out some forms. Waited another 10 min for our masseuses. Got into our room at 12:10pm. Consulting and undressing took about another 5-10 min. Started the massage at 12:20pm. The massage only lasted 30 minutes total. We left the massage room at 12:50pm. My masseuse didn't even use much pressure when I asked her to put more pressure. I think she even took a minute nap at the last few minutes of my massage. Her eyes were closed with steady breathing. Her hands were just laying under my shoulders and not doing anything. After the massage finished I asked her about the timing for the massage and she was answering me with an annoyed tone. She said the terms and services for first time customers are only 50 minutes massage. I tried to explain to her that we did not get our full hour massage, not even the 50 minutes that we were supposed to have. She told me she had other clients before us. But what was that extra 10 minute wait in the lobby for? Shouldn't my massage last 10 minutes longer then since I arrived prior to my appointment? What kind of customer service is that? The hydroluxe was the ONLY highlight of the visit. Felt better than their "lotion rub" on my body. The massage was not worth it at all. They even had the nerve to ask for more tips. I think I was considerate enough to tip even 10%. My mom didn't want to tip and all and comment "It was a nice visit having your masseuse put lotion all over my body for 30 minutes. But where was the massage?" Never recommending this place to anyone. Over $1/min for a weak massage (or more like a full body lotion) is a waste of money. I can get a better massage from my baby brother by him stepping on my back. read more

However, when they called to confirm they told me to come in 10-15 min early to fill out paperwork, which I did. My appt. was for a 60 min massage at 10am. The massage began at 10:15 and ended at 11...not 60 minutes...The groupon also included 15 min of some sort of hydra something or other, and I even filled out a sheet of paper for it, but it was not included. The staff was friendly, the ambiance relaxing, but I would not go back if you are not getting the amount of time you are paying for. read more

My husband bought me a Groupon for my birthday. First experience was wonderful. My therapist was great. So I signed up for the membership. I had 3hrs accumulated, I wanted to book a massage for my husband since I haven't time to use it. They said I can "gift" my hour to him, and he have to pay $20 extra when he come in. How is that a "gift" if they're paying extra? And why does he have to pay if the hour is already paid for? The policy is because they are "my" hours, and not his. They oversold on a recent Groupon, so I had to book my appointment about 8 weeks out which was pretty inconvenient. I was trying to book a Saturday, and was told that Saturdays were booked into June! Also, while my masseuse wasn't bad, she was actually hurting me by pressing down on certain pressure points and trying to "work" the knots out of the area. She did this several times and I was actually wincing and I had to tell her that it was hurting me, more than once. When I get a massage, I just want to relax and feel good, not be in pain. I have never left a review before, but I felt feedback was important in this instance. I went in for a massage because I had gotten a bad neck/upper back spasm. I have massages regularly but elected to try Massage Luxe as they were able to get me in same day. The deep tissue work was great. However without warning the therapist began aggressive range of motion with my neck. I had already advised the reason for my appointment was due to a neck spasm and that my head felt stuck. I told her it was painful and was visibly uncomfortable. Once I calmed down she did the same thing to the other side!! Had she gone slower with her movement she would have felt the point of my body's resistance, but this was not the case. I told her I didn't like the range of motion and her response was it was not range of motion but stretching. The therapist also did stretching on my shoulders beyond the point of comfort. I told her that was far enough and she said I just don't have good motion. From working in the medical field for a number of years, I know that stretching to that point of pain was not ok. The therapist not being familiar with me or my body should have listened when I said that was far enough, or when I jumped visibly in pain. A therapist should have known to not continue to stretch beyond the point of feeling significant resistance. read more

I should have read all the reviews before joining a monthly membership at Massage Luxe in Willowbrook. I have to agree with Maggie who posted in November and said.....If I could give 0 stars for service I would. The manager Jason is RUDE and awful to deal with. I don't know how he expects to earn customer business with the way he treats people. First no one ever answers the phone and second, if you leave a message, no one ever returns your calls. I am paying monthly for a membership that I cannot get any benefits from. When booking my most recent appointment, Jason remembers our conversation up and to the point of actually making the appointment in the system. So when I showed for an afternoon for a massage, I was told...sorry we do not have an appointment for you. I tried to reach out to Jason who completely avoids taking or returning calls. He was RUDE and denied that I requested an appointment. I cannot fault the front desk staff who admitted that there has been confusion in scheduling recently. In fact, a massage therapist did not review his schedule and had to be called back because his appointment was waiting. It is a shame that people do not value their clients nor have customer service skills to remedy the situation. My recommendation is to stay far away from Massage Luxe and Jason who is a con artist who is only trying to improve his bottom line at your expense. read more

All the bad reviews are for a reason. I asked for a deep tissue massage and left with just lotion on my body. I get messages pretty regularly (2x a month) and this was by far one of the worst. I told her to avoid my lower back and she replied "but that area is important" and I told her I didn't want it massaged and she rolled her eyes. She still massaged it even though that area is painful for me. Massage lasted 40 minutes, wasnt offered the hydroluxe.I've been here with and without groupons and every time I leave I wonder why I went back. Front desk girls were really nice but come on. I don't get a massage for the friendliness of the front desk workers. You have to give people what is advertised (50 minutes) and what they asked for regardless of your opinion. read more

So, I scheduled a massage IN PERSON two days ago, for 4:30 today. I get a call at 4:00 from someone who works there who says that the guy who was supposed to do my massage needs a break at the time I was scheduled for. They offered to do 5:30 instead, twice, to which both times I responded that I couldn't because I had plans. They didn't seem at all sorry. Not only is it NOT my problem that someone screwed up scheduling, calling THIRTY minutes before, when I was about to walk out the door, is ridiculous.
