Don't waste your time with the valpack coupon...you will get convinced that you will get an honest assessment..it won't be...you will have wasted your time waiting within the "window" they give you. The coupon said $64.99 and I was told it would only be $30 more for the compartment in which the filter is located (the name escapes me-- I have pregnancy brain) and everything else is included in the price plus we were supposed to be eligible for a military discount on top of this. So in other words, it shouldn't have exceeded $100.They came and provided an estimate for $300 and this wasn't including the use of cameras in the vents which would have cost an ADDITIONAL $200!!! Employee didn't even know pricing, trying to do the math using coupon and their invoice, resulting in $ 160.00 charge! It literally JUST DOESN'T ADD UP! The person "Mike"who came tried to add a $20/ room for "pre cleaning" which I wasn't told before. That would have been ok if the carpet was clean afterward. Some of the stains were removed but the edges along the walls were not improved at all. The carpet was changed from beige to dirty gray. When I complained and said I would not pay the full amount, he said he'd call the police. I wish he had. He was a very rude man who shouldn't be working wit the public. Awful. Stay away at all cost. I had a coupon in Valpak (Chester, VA) and we really needed a dryer vent clean due to birds who were somehow opening the flap cover and building nest inside. When I called the lady quoted $79.99 the same price found on the coupon and was able to schedule me fairly quickly. On the day of when Roman, our technician, called he sounded a bit snarky, but I ignored it. When he arrived to the house, his attitude still stank. He came in did a quick half-a** job and tried to charge us $110. Wait what? We told him when I called the lady said it was $79.99 and he showed me his paper with the prices. I showed him my coupon and he then agreed to that price. We asked if he had change, he said he did, but kept trying to short change us. I handed him $100 and he kept trying to give me back $10. After a bit of confusion we got our change and he was on his way. My husband and I took a look at everything. There was still lint everywhere behind the machine (I can't really expect them to clean that, but I know some companies will be nice enough to do so) and the birds nest was now poking out of the vent outside, but was not removed. I called the company back to complain and she called Roman back to take a look at it. This is where things really took a turn. When he arrived he INSISTED that we were wrong and that was not the dryer vent and the vent was the one on the the other side of the house that was covered with a grate. I kept trying to explain to him that it was not the dryer vent and the one in the back like I said. After 10mins of back and forth...he called someone (I'm guessing the company) and then asked us to turn on the dryer so we can see which vent opens. Sure enough, it was the one I told him and he still kept this smug attitude and was like, "I'll go ahead and clean it, but...." so at this point I just had to walk away because I've had it with him. He completely soaked my laminate floor and sofa to the point beyond repair. He then tried to say the floor was like that before he got there. WHAT THE HECK!!! He came in took a look and said it doesn't look bad at all in here and then he tried to charge me $100 more than my estimate. As other people have said, it is a complete scam. The "Whole House Carpet Cleaning" advertised in the ValPak coupon (currently for $79.99) includes no cleaning chemicals (just steam, apparently), and they want an additional $20/room if you want any actual cleaning chemicals used. When I refused and told him to get lost, the technician offered to do it for $10/room - which I grudgingly accepted, solely because I was having a party that night and knew that there would be no time to find another company with such short notice. They also charged me a week after I paid because of card fees. We bought new carpet when we moved in, two years later, we finally decided to get the carpets "professionally" cleaned. I saw a Valupak coupon saying 74.99 for 5 rooms. Thought what could it hurt. I called and said I had 3 rooms, a rug and stairwell. I asked the price, the lady on the phone, who was very hard to understand, told me 75 plus 2 dollars per stair. Boras arrived on time the day of my appointment, came in to see the carpet, said that I should have it pretreated, shampooed and cleaned. He said that was 147 dollars plus the steam clean of 100. I was going to tell him never mind, but I had already stacked the bathrooms with furniture to get everything off the floor and didn't want to have to redo it all. I hesitantly agreed. He said it would take about an hour. We went outside to play and 20 minutes later he was done. I couldn't believe that he was done so quickly. I can't even vacuum my carpet they quick. I don't know how you "pretreat" the carpet and are gone 20 minutes later. He said it would take 5 hours to dry and could take up to 24. The carpet was so wet that after 20 hours I still couldn't wear socks around and my stairs were wet for over 30 hours. I had fans on the three bedrooms and a standup fan in the hall. It was 70 degrees in the house. My house now smells like wet dog all the time and there are brown rust-like stains on my stairs. I will never ever use this company again and I would not recommend them to anyone. They are a scam and they will ruin your carpet. Now I have to call another company to do the job properly. False Advertising! Beware! I wish I would've read these reviews before having these con-artists come to my house. I also had the val-pak coupon for air-duct cleanings and the technician came into my house and said that the coupon was for studio apartments only and for houses where there wasn't any dirt in the air vents. I really needed my air ducts cleaned and they ended up going from a $65 coupon to $205. They charged me for a return that they never cleaned as well. The technician was incredibly unprofessional and creepy and was asking me invasive questions like if I live alone. He was touching my belongings and appeared to be scoping out my house. My boyfriend had to call and fight with them to get my money back for the return that they never cleaned because I felt too uncomfortable to have them come back into my house. Seems like normal business to prey on those who are at need of their service. They go by different names, all tied to the same people, returning calls from different numbers tied to those other companies. We scheduled with Nazar, the manager well in advance time for Sunday, Jan 31. They called last minute on Sunday to reschedule and we could not. We told them it was our move out day, so they showed up early and with a newer higher price. The technician said it is only 20 more, so they knew they were changing it. We then called and again spoke with Nazar. He did not want to honor our agreement. He asked about the space again and the price raised even more now. He finally said he would not have the cleaner return till the next day for the original price, but for today would be the higher price. He hung up when we did not agree to higher price. They call themselves Master Cleaning...but it should be master manipulators. At the beginning of May 2019, I came across their coupon for $79.99 in the Value Pack, for a whole house carpet cleaning. I know it sounded too good to be true and it was. When the guy arrived, he immediately started complaining and being very unprofessional when I told him he could not drive up on the grass. When he came in he started aggressively looking around and tallying up all these additional charges that were never discussed when I made the appointment, nor were they reflected in the coupon. My carpet had ONE stain, which he tried to charge an additional $80.00 to treat. I asked him to just honor the coupon and not to worry if the stain didn't come out. He started quoting different prices and became argumentative and threatening and tried to make me pay in advance and pay the inflated charges. He was a big guy with a thick accent so I was becoming concerned. He even became confrontational with a friend who was there with me. I told him to leave! To get out of my house! He did not leave immediately and then, stood outside on the sidewalk yelling at us and threatening to call the police. Keep in mind that he had NOT done any cleaning. Never use MASTEr CLEAN !! They advertise in REACH magazine!! They charged more than they advertised. They said my sofa would be damp for 7 to 8 hours. Now 27 hours later sofa is still wet. The chemical they use made my hands sticky when I touched it while wet. They used so much water that it took the manufacture tags off the base of sofa and left stains. There was also a sticker that said have sofa dry cleaned or use mild soap and damp cloth. I know I should have read that but when I called who I thought was professionals they should have told me they couldn't clean. I called to complain , he told me he was located at the beach and they do not give refunds. They advertise that they were bonded , I asked for repair person to come back and look at sofa , I was told he is not doing that.The fabric on the sofa looks as though it stretched. He sent the guy back out to look at sofa , he said he could get water stains off sofa but it would be wet another 7 to 8 hours. The lady over the phone told me that because I had two units it would cost me $130 (instead of the $64.99 that the coupon stated). I was OK with that. The gentleman shows up, looks at the system and tells me that it is going to cost $850. These people know exactly what they are doing. When I called there was no questions asked about my system, no disclaimer that there will be additional per duct and/or return. I told the lady on the phone that this was for the office and hallway at my place of business and that the total area was 1000 sq/ft. I and wanted to be sure that this coupon would apply. She said yes. The guy that showed up said my total would be $150. HE TRIPLED THE QUOTED PRICE. He said the other price was for residential only, that my quote was invalid, that the lady on the phone didn't know what she was talking about and that I should have scheduled an inspection instead of a service. Basically, they pulled a classic bait and switch and when I refused to pay triple the quoted rate, they left me high and dry. The tech called and said the carpet was very dirty, which was true (it was a rental property) and that it would cost $170. I told him it wasn't worth it because in actuality the carpet needed replacing. He called back with an offer of $100. I said I had to call the contractor but he was paying. Meanwhile a tech was on premise and told the contractor that it wouldn't come clean enough for $100 (premium) he would do it for coupon rate plus $20 for stairs totaling $65. I got the credit card receipt for $105. I had to call four times only to be argued with about what was said/agreed upon by contractor. I contracted with Master Cleaning to clean my carpets, and had a coupon from a mailer. Their ad with this coupon clearly states "satisfaction guaranteed - no hidden costs" and "free deodorizer", and that they accept all major credit cards. When the technician arrived, he immediately stated that he would need to add cleaning agents and deodorizer and would have to charge extra for both. My carpets were not so dirty as to require more than normal cleaning, so I was shocked that there would be any extra charges. He then told me that I would need to pay by check or cash; if I wanted to pay by credit card, they would charge me a transaction fee. When I showed him a copy of the advertisement stating "no hidden costs", he stated that this was the mistake of the office, and that I would have to call them. When I called, I got no answer. At that point, feeling very frustrated, I told him that I would not be needing his services. Luckily, we had several people cleaning our house for a move-in the next day. I called Master Cleaning in Virginia Beach yesterday. They quoted me a price of $70 - $80 to clean my sectional. And they said they could come between 7:00 am and 8:00 am. After they arrived at 8:35 am, the man quoted me a different price $110. I told him no thanks either they can do it for the price I was quoted or not at all. He got on the phone and came back and agreed to $80. Then he goes to his truck and keeps me waiting for about 30 minutes and returns to tell me that his machine is not working and he would return at 2:00 pm. This is absolutely ridiculous. I told him no thank you and I would call another company but thanks anyway. I called the main office to report the problem and a man answers the phone sounding half way sleep. I informed the guy in the office about what happened and he said he will be right back to clean the sectional and began yelling at me. After I calming told him that he was being very rude and he should not treat customers like that. He told me that I need to go to church because I am rude. I replied in shock and let him know that they were very unprofessional and I was going to report them to the Better Business Bureau. I do not recommend my worse enemy to go to this company.
