Erica Hodson is the absolute BEST! I've been blessed to have her do my hair for the past 15+ years. Here is one situation where Erica saved my life. I was asked by a friend to be a hair model for her cousin. It was for a hair show at GRB. I NEVER let anyone touch my hair besides Erica before this, but I felt like being nice and helping a friend out. Well, here is how my hair looked after the show. An absolute WRECK! Erica came in and did her best to fix my hair and she did a WONDERFUL job! My hair looked beautiful and healthy and I actually got a lot of compliments on it as well. I had a wonderful experience here ! The salon is so clean and decorated really cute. They also have a heated toilet seat!!! What!!!!???, but onto the important stuff. My hair was a hot mess when I came to this salon until LEILA transformed my hair ! She gave me a perfect balayage. I showed her a pic and she nailed it. She used really nice products and explained to me what they all did individually. Leila took a lot of time and care into my hair. I'm including a picture so you can see how much of difference Leila made to my hair ! Love it !!!!! I am so happy with my hair , I was in shock at the difference because I could not believe my hair could look so pretty. Definitely will be back !!!! read more

I have been getting my hair done by Sophie W. at Master Hair Design for about two years now. She is great! Before finding Sophie, I was a Visible Changes client for over 10 years, but it was getting to the point where I could never get an appointment with my desired hair stylist and the prices were going through the roof, about $250 for highlights and cut! I am a college student and cannot afford those prices but I do not want low quality jobs. Master Hair Salon is in a convenient location and they take pride in the appearance of their salon. They keep it clean and tidy. And they also have fun decorations, instead of you having to stare at a white wall for two hours while you get your hair done. Sophie has awesome prices (less than half the price of what I was paying at Visible Changes) and she is willing to work with my busy schedule. Not to mention, she knows what she is doing in the beauty department! Sophie gives me great and simple hair styling tips for when I need to do my hair in a hurry at home. She is not the type of hairstylist that will do something with your hair and then won't tell you how you can do it yourself at home! That is a number one benefit for me because I am not good at doing hair but her tips keep my hair looking great and healthy! Now my mom and sister are also clients of Sophie and we haven't stepped foot in another hair salon since! Keep up the great work Sophie and Master Hair Salon! read more

Wow! What an amazing experience. I stumbled on Master Hair Design today and decided to try them out. The salon is beautiful and clean with an inviting atmosphere. Andrea did an amazing job on my hair! She recommended that my balayage color didn't need to be touched up (saving me the added expense) then did a damage repair treatment to revitalize my color and texture. Now my hair glows and feels soft and healthy again. Her head massage alone was worth the price of the whole visit! I love that she was so honest with me, delightfully friendly, and extremely knowledgeable. I'm thrilled to have discovered this gem and look forward to future appointments! I was pampered with a haircut, head massage, wash, damage treatment, and a hairstyle/care counseling session all in one for a very reasonable price. Highly recommended. read more

The one time I tried to get that same service here in Austin, it cost my double that. Lynne is fantastic. She always squeezes me in when I come into town. Love Tara. She is fabulous and does a great job. She always does exactly what I ask her and has awesome suggestions on styles. Leila is good when Tara was on maternity leave but wouldn't switch to her perminately. Place is always clean, stylist always professional. A/C has gone a a few times during the warm/hot months is the only downer I would say about this place. read more

I absolutely LOVE Denise Pitts! I followed her over to this salon from a previous salon & she is truly a genius when it comes to hair! She has done my mother in laws hair for many years & even did my hubby's once upon a time. If your hair is in need of a new cut or color, she can make some magic happen quicker then any hair stylist that has ever touched my hair. It doesn't matter what she's doing. Highlights, lowlights, all over color, trim or drastic new cut, she makes it happen in lightening speed with PURE PERFECTION! She's so good that my hubs seriously doesn't want me to use anyone else ever again & would pay triple what I already pay just to keep her if need be lol! I'm serious y'all she's that darn good! I have one word about this salon ......LEILA!! She is an absolute master at color and cut. I came to her with damaged almost black hair with orange highlights, needless to say it wasn't pretty. First visit I walked out color corrected and my hair felt like someone else's. I am a devoted client and if I win the lottery I will try to hire her all for myself! Leila does an excellent job coloring. I was looking forward to getting highlights done by her but we didn't get that far because she screwed up my haircut. We had a long discussion about what I was hoping to get and she insisted that what I was asking her was wrong, even though I know my hair, the shape of my head and what has worked great in the past. I wish I listened to my instinct and walked away. The only good part of the haircut is getting rid if all the unhealthy ends. My hair is choppy, not blended at all. The ends are way too thick and keep weighing my style down. Something that I stressed I wanted fixed. I tried my best to give it a chance and tried to style it the way she suggested. But when a haircut is this messed there is not much you can do to fix it. When I contacted her and asked to to come in to fix it she said I'd have to pay the full amount again!!! Are you kidding me?! I'm definitely not going back to her. read more
