We chose Master Image salon for our 4 yr old daughter's first hair cut. The service was perfect, the stylist (Emma) was prompt too and ready as soon as we walked into the door(10 minutes early for the appointment). The care and effort they put into our daughter's first salon experience made it a memorable experience for her. The salon manager ( Jessica) presented our daughter with a certificate celebrating her first experience having her hair cut. The mood in the salon was great as well as-the music. Overall I was impressed with the patience and attention to detail ( because keeping a four year old still is no easy task). I have gotten my hair done here 2x's Hard to find more local black salon / or stylist, without traveling over 20 miles away. Both times were excellent. All stylist can do any type of hair. My natural hair is very curly. Denise Mirabel had my hair only a little straighter in the root area. She wash, blew dried( because she u der stood most black hair had to be dried before cutting, (otherwise you don't get a straight even cut).,and finished by straightening with a flat iron. read more

After staying away from hair salons since stay-at-home orders were implemented, I reluctantly made an appointment at Master Image Salon. However, I could no longer walk around with the self-haircut I gave myself following a youtube tutorial. This is my new salon and I'm immensely grateful for Lisa. -COVID-19 Preparations: Upon arrival, I was instructed to wait in my car until an employee gave me clearance to come in. My temperature was checked and I was given hand sanitizer. The salon is clean and team members were sanitizing areas while I was there. Social distance was fully practiced and everyone was wearing their masks (no half-nosers here). - Work Done: Lisa was outstanding. The consultation was thorough. Because I clearly should not be trusted to judge what to do with my hair, I relied on Lisa's expertise and asked her to do what she thought would be best. Lisa completely fixed my highlights and picked a gorgeous ash blonde tone. She also fixed my "layers" and left my hair light and bouncy. The shampoo/conditioner part was done perfectly. The water was kept off my face the entire time. I'm used to getting a full shower during this portion of the appointment. No need for me to take out my scuba gear this time. Lisa was fast but accurate. She curled my hair as she was blowdrying it. The curls were beautiful! She was extremely attentive throughout the appointment. Really enjoyed my service today with Kaitlyn. Had partial highlight, cut and eyebrow wax. This was my first time being asked ever to put down a $100 deposit for a salon appointment in my life ahead of time and good thing I brought it up too because they forgot to take it off from my bill at the end and I asked because it was $287 so I thought maybe my service was $387 which is the most I've ever spent on hair and eye brown wax. I wish on the phone they would have told me how large the deposit was because I didn't realize till I saw it clear my card the next day and had a little sticker shock. But really clean place, easy parking and I would definitely go to Kaitlyn again. I felt really well taken care of. read more

I highly don't recommend upon visiting Jose. First appointment was excellent. Second appointment, root touch up, greys were not all colored. As well as the style. It was from the 60s. If i were my hair straight I shouldn't walk out with a swoop. Third appointment, hair was fried, there was patches of color, color on my skin wasn't fully rinsed, and he had me walking around like I was a cheetah. It wasn't even time for halloween. I have been here twice in a year, first time I paid $60 for a cut, deep conditioner and style. My stylist was very professional and gave THE best shampoos. I asked for my ends point cut because I dislike straight across cuts and she did it perfectly. (Picture attached but they did not do my color). My second time going I went in to make a appointment and on a whim went with someone I did not know, she was nice but my hair was unfinished when I left, paid around $60 for everything (this time I got a eyebrow wax) I have made a appointment with Christian to establish a whole new look, so I will post! This salon is full service, facials, nails, wax and hair. The location is cute and a tad hidden so if it's night time just park close because there are no lights outside. You know this will be a experience to remember! My hair stylist was Sarah who was so charming and talented! Matching my hair tone seamlessly to their high quality products! She took her time with my first visit listening to all my concerns and wishes! My hair came out absolutely gorgeous! They service both Men and Women and have a special area just for kids! My first haircut and highlight during Covid-19, I had never been to this salon as mine did not re-open. As you can imaging I was nervous but I could not be more impressed with the cut highlight professionalism just everything I would want and then some from a Salon. I just got home and the whole ride I was feeling so great! Zuki is an incredible hair specialist. Not many hairdressers I've been to know how to cut Asian hair well, and that's okay! Usually you either get a blunt bob or something similar, but Zuki knew her shit! I showed her one picture and she got my hair looking spot on. I feel more beautiful than ever and I've been given this new layer of confidence I haven't had in a long time. The color looks great on me, a bit darker than my natural color which I absolutely love. While the services I have received here have been good, they have no respect for a client's time. They give you a confirmation call the day before your appointment to make sure you will be there at your appointed time (I always arrive early). Both times I have gone, I was kept waiting at least a half hour past my appointment time. The first time I went I had my adult son and daughter with me. We all got haircuts, manis , pedis, etc. Expensive day but the services were worth it time. My second time, after waiting 30 minutes past my appointment time, I told them I had to leave. I could not wait any longer. During that 30 minutes no one updated me as to how much longer I would have to wait. What is worse is that no one even called me to follow up and/or apologize. There are way too many salons in and around the area to treat clients like this. read more

I don't have much hair other than the overgrown beard at times but even the small task is cared for with professionalism. Doesn't really matter who you go to they all get the same raving reviews from each client . And prices are very reasonable -- same as I pay at home. The receptionist and cashier were bubbly and fun. One unique feature ( to me anyway) is their sink has a padded area for your neck. To be honest I haven't ever had a gentleman do my hair. Joel was on the quiet side which was fine with me because I just wanted to relax and girl that's exactly what I did. While he was washing my hair I almost feel asleep because it felt so nice and he even dried the inside of my ears!!! He took his time and talked about what I wanted done and I was very happy with the cut! The only thing I could suggest is for them to offer you a drink. I picked this place because of their ratings. I went in for a touch up on hair color, a beautiful copper red. The stylist, named Mel messed it up!!! Instead of a touch up on my roots for a copper red, she turned my hair a deep auburn rust color.. Not only was she hostile toward me when she was wrong, she tried to make me feel like I chose the color, when I certainly didn't. She butchered my hair!!! She knew it was darker than what I wanted and tried to convince me when it dried that it would be the color I requested. Whelp, it certainly wasn't when she showed me the section of hair she dried. I stopped the service right then and there. She clearly lacked the competence and she was trying to convince me that this is the color I had requested when clearly it was not. I went in to get it fix the next day. I had an appt and and she was there. I didn't feel comfortable getting my hair done by someone who was already hostile towards me. This place lacked professionalism with Mel there. Amanda saw that Mel in fact was wrong and tried to accommodate by setting up an appt the following day. Unfortunately, I didn't think Mel would be there when I had them fix the color so I canceled the follow up appt. read more
