They squeezed a couple small pieces of lemon and lime on my feet. She threw my feet around like I was at a rodeo. Let's just say, not relaxing. Then she proceeded to seem to get upset when I asked to see the "menu" again, and almost spilled my drink on me. Then she almost put a bright blue on my feet when I asked for gold. I was also burnt with one of their hot stones for the love of all!! And I'm supposed to pay $80 for this?!?! My absolute favorite nail place. I've tried several in the area but I keep returning here for my pedicures. I wear sneakers for work which is hard on my nails and living in flip flop Florida I try to keep my feet presentable . They take their time here and do a great job. I usually get the orange deluxe with paraffin which isn't cheap but is worth every penny. Considering they're located in Championsgate right off I-4 in tourist central they don't price gouge and they have a decent clientele of returning locals. But there are of course a lot of tourists. They do both waxing and threading and both come out great, not painful and no redness. read more

My nail tech brought over a small box of tools which I assumed had already been cleaned. Nope they just go person to person. This is a hard review for me. The SERVICE was top notch. I received the basic manicure and pedicure. And it was great! She took her time, extra massage time and attention to detail. However, I have to agree with some of the other reviews. The salon needs a deep clean! And I realized the autoclave bag had not gone through an autoclave. The sticker to seal it was still on. Also, there was music playing and King of the Hill was on the tv, loudly. Shortly before I left I was also listening to someone's phone playing something. Too much noise! When I left FIVE EMPLOYEES were laying in the pedicure chairs sleeping or on their phones, and another behind the nail bar doing her own toes. No other clients. This salon was super great for the price! They have plexiglass shields up in front of the pedicure chairs so the worker and the customer are both better protected from COVID-19. I took my sister here for her Christmas present and was very impressed with their willingness to accommodate us as safe as the service allows, but maintain a joyful atmosphere. Worst nails I've ever gotten in my life. Not only is the shape absolutely terrible after asking him multiple times to shape them like the picture, slim oval with a tiny point at the end, he only did the pattern on two fingers and said "ok done" and the patterns are absolutely terrrible. I asked him before we even started is it possible for you to do this? If he didn't know how to do it and make it look good I would have been fine with just getting a solid color. This was 55$ and took him two hours and I hate them so much. The staff was welcoming and took care of me, my wife and sister-in-law with no wait on Sunday afternoon. My pedicure was great with no complaints, I enjoyed the conversation with the nail technician. My wife had a gel manicure which was good but only lasted a week and usually holds up 2-3 weeks. My sister-in-law had an SNS manicure done which came out perfect and still holding up. The massage chairs were really good and better than most nail salons. Overall atmosphere was decent, the store was clean but could use some updates. Quality of work and friendliness of staff is more important in my opinion and will keep us coming back when we're in the area. read more

Go somewhere else! My story includes a Roach! - I really wish I could give this place more stars but this place is filthy! It started with the first bad impression is to see one technician seating holding and massaging her bare feet with her hands, two minutes later a customer walks in for a manicure, she proceeds to take care of said customer without washing her hands or wearing gloves. Ironically, they ask you to wash your hands when you walk in. My technician clipped my nails with a tool that was obviously not sanitized - see the nail clippings in the picture? those are not mine. He was rough, pinch me several times. I wanted to leave but I was already there. It is noticeable the lack of housekeeping. There is dust everywhere, filthy UV lamps, old nail files, clumpy nail polish and so on. Here is the SURPRISE! My nail tech was so nice and placed my shoes in a bag...when I got to my car, there was a roach in the bag Yeap! A roach. Hope they read this and do something about it... To be fair - I didn't even get to experience a service here. Even so - my experience was enough to drive me away and ensure I'll travel further to find someplace else. I walked in on a Sunday afternoon and the place is busy - 4 Pedicure chairs were in use and the only person not attending a customer was a high-school aged girl who seemed to be in charge of welcoming everyone then eventually taking payment from everyone. "Hi!" she says. "Hi - I was hoping to get a pedicure today." I reply. "We're pretty busy" - she states as if I didn't notice. A few seconds of awkward silence then I try to help her out: "How long until you think you'd be ready?" She shouts over to her mother and they work out "10 minutes" Great. After 10 minutes I'm instructed to select a color for my pedicure. I grab a nice purple (they actually had a decent selection) and sit back down in their waiting area. 5 more minutes pass and a lady walks in and is greeted awkwardly by the teen. "Can I help you?" She quickly states "I was here 30 minutes ago and you said to come back for my appointment..." The girl says "of course, of course - please select a color and have a seat, we'll be right with you." I look around at the status of everyone working there: Teen's mother was giving a pedicure and was only at the exfoliation stage; guy had just finished painting grandma's toes but was also working on her daughter whose water hadn't even been drained yet. Big sister/aunt had just wrapped up a manicure but... there was a woman in a pedicure chair who hadn't even been started on. I give them the benefit of the doubt and sit tight for 10 more minutes. Both myself and the lady who "had an appointment" were still sitting in the waiting area. So I put my polish back and walked out. Another red flag: prices weren't posted anywhere so I had no idea what I was getting myself into. I took it as a sign from God and came home and painted my own toes. read more

Ok, so although the reviews for this place were not good I decided to try them anyway because a friend referred me. Online it says the salon opens at 9am. We'll I got here at 855am. I waited until 910am and still no one showed up to open the nail salon. On the door it says they open at 9am. Where oh where are they??? I tried calling the number on the door... wrong number. I called the number on the website.... no answer. I'm beginning to think it wasn't meant for me to come here. I did peer through the window though. Lol! THIS BUSINESS IS RACIST. In 23 years of living I have never experienced any form of racism... until I walked into "5 star nails" in 2021. I arrived to the nail salon at 10:50 for my 11 o'clock appointment on Sunday November 7 2021 with my grandma to get our nails done. Our appointment was for two gel pedicures, and two gel refills. The salon was pretty empty and got busier as the day went on. The problems didn't start until after we finished our pedicures and the lady that did my pedicure told me and my grandmother that we had to wait an hour to get out manicures done. Now, had I been a walk in, I would have understood the wait. However, we had an appointment and shouldn't have had to wait between services. I told them again that we had an appointment and they said they would take my grandma (who I'm very light) and said it was still going to be an hour for me (I'm more brown skin). The same man that did my grandmas pedicure began doing her manicure and the lady that did mine was now sitting next to me in the pedicure chair. Now at this point in time it had nothing to do with skin color in my eyes I was just annoyed that we had appointments and still had to wait. So I asked the lady that did my pedicure to speak to the manager and she told me the manager had off today and I processed to asked for her number so I can contact her because like I said I had an appointment and thought it wasn't fair that I had to wait. After asking for the managers number the same lady that had done my pedicure told me should didn't know it and I asked her if she could find someone that had it. She shook her head no and walked away. About 5 minutes later two white woman walked in for one manicure and one pedicure. One of the workers told both of them to sit in their respective chairs. I sat in the chair that the worker instructed the lady to sit in because I was number one, there first and number two had an appointment! The lady sat in a different seat and the same lady that did my pedicure walked over to where the white woman had sat and began doing her nails... I immediately said " you told me I had to wait a whole hour in order for me to get my nails done and I had an appointment but as soon as they came in you took them immediately. You're racist!" She didn't even look up at me and continued taking off her gel polish. I ended up leaving without getting my manicure done because I was literally in tears over what I had just experienced. They will never get my business again. I hope and pray that anyone that reads this cancels their business to stand up against racism with me. read more

Other customers joined in as I tried to professionally express my concerns. Kathy told me that I cut my own feet! This place is also not sanitary! One of my favorite places for a pedicure and manicure. I also get my brows waxed here by Me-me. She usually throws in scalp and facial massage and much more. She is amazing! I never have had a manicure there that fast. Often times I only will get a polish change because the manicure takes too long! Amazing eyebrow wax, I finally found my new spot! I just moved and last two places I've been two completely botched mine. I have a cowlick in one eyebrow, and they are thick-so not the easiest to handle. Most places would just wax my eyebrows super thin or change the shape. Kathy took off the perfect amount and understood what I meant by "clean up". She even threaded any remaining hairs around the brows all the way up to my forehead. (I've never been to a salon that actually works around that much area without charging more it) She focused and she's talented! Wax was perfect temp. It was also only $8 for the whole thing. Was in desperate repair on a broken nail went in for a manicure only for the woman who was about to do my nails to pull out of the draw unsanitized nail clippers and stopped her and asked if they do not sanitize their nail equipment and she kept saying clean clean and tried again to hold my hand to start and I pulled away and said thank you but I'm not comfortable with her using unsanitized clippers and I left. I am NORMALLY a regular at Five Star until today, I walked in at 3:30 and requested a manicure and pedicure they took me right away and sat me down to soak my fingers. 45 minutes later im still soaking my fingers and noone has even looked my way, I finally say something and they get someone to come start my manicure. To say the least its the worst manicure ive ever gotten, extremely rushed and theres pieces of my nail sticking out from poor filing not to mention they completely skipped putting lotion on and a mini massage. After I express my disappointment the front desk boy said "sorry that happened it will be $20" with no offer of a solution. So they lost a loyal regular, id rather pay the extra money down the road then have them do my nails. If you are in the area find a different salon!! The customer service was horrible, the nail tech which is the owner of the shop has zero respect for her clients. For one, what nail tech has the audacity to tell their customer to file their own nail themselves because the customer told you the nail was not even? You are being paid to do that job, so what would bring you to tell your customer such a thing because you are mad that they asked you to fix your mistake.. If you aren't capable to take the feedback accordingly and be respectful, then you should not run a business. read more

Avoid this place at all costs. The tools are never sterilized and the spas are never filtered or cleaned through. The staff are incredibly rude and make a point of discussing the customers and laughing at them in Vietnamese. Plus, most of the staff smoke out from with the door open so the place stinks of cigarettes. This place is a health hazard and I'm surprised it remains open. read more

I have been coming to Jenny and Cathy since 2006. I have never had a better pedicure anywhere. I have a home in Florida and San Francisco and one would think I could find as good or better in SF. I gave up looking in my travels for a better treatment or attention to details. I have friends who come visit from out of state and the highlight of their trip is getting their feet done by Cathy or Jenny. I read a couple other reviews that were derogatory and I completely disagree with the negative comments overall. I'm very particular and I've always experienced clean and sterile treatments and in 11 years I've never had any problems. I would recommend Jenny and Cathy to everyone.
