If you are African-American or Hispanic, you may want be very careful coming to this supply store and really watch how you're being treated never accept being second best we all deserve better. This morning I drove 24 miles after picking up a u-haul trailer to purchase a tree from Masters landscape and supply and after going through the line to pay for my tree and I headed directly to the yard To recover my tree. I was the first one in the yard yet I was ignored by the forklift driver for over an hour. In fact The forklift driver loaded four trucks that weren't even in the lot when I got there I am one of the last people to play the race card because I have a lot of Caucasian friends all over the world. And I know that they would never condone this type of behavior from a business. Finally I got tired of waiting so I pulled my truck and trailer back to the front of the building and I walked back into the store and got in line to wait for a refund. Suddenly one of the managers approached me and asked if I was loaded and I told him no that I was in line to get a refund. He said please come with me and I'll take care of this right away and he got me loaded immediately. In addition he offered an apology. Also I think he sent the forklift driver over to apologize and I accepted the apology. But that doesn't change the way I felt and it certainly doesn't excuse the way they acted based on my color or at least that was my perception. I purchased a tree but I will never visit this location again and what a shame. While I was waiting I saw a lot of stuff that I needed for my yard but I can't in good conscious buy from a business that allows employees to disrespect me, devalue me, my time or that of people who look like me. Perhaps the name of their business [Masters] has really gone to their heads and they are starting to believe their own bullshit. What a damn shame!!! read more

Always friendly staff and great selection of plants and annual flowers. Best long needle pine straw around.

I spent over $2500 here on two separate deliveries of landscaping rock and 100 rolls of pine straw. The first time about a month ago, the gentleman placed the rolls neatly in one section of the yard. This time, he just dumped a portion of it from his truckbed in the middle of yard where a landscaping company will be clearing the area next week. The other portion, he left them in the middle of the driveway after I showed him where they needed to go next to the side of the house. I called the owner and he gave me a few excuses - (i) so many people have complained that the pine straw is left in the wrong place that they now have a policy of dumping them in the driveway; (ii) they usually dump them from the truck bed instead of piling them neatly somewhere in the yard [no reason given and no explanation for why they were stacked neatly last time]; (iii) the guy has a good idea of where it's best to leave the pine straw even if the customer wants them elsewhere; (iv) you have to pay extra in delivery fee if you want a portion unloaded in a different location of the yard. The two locations were right across the driveway from each other... I assume he didn't want to go down the 6 steps or so to leave 20 rolls. None of these excuses made sense to me. Just because we haven't put down sod in the yard yet, doesn't mean you can dump your product that we paid for like garbage. We're purchasing them to clean up the yard not make it look worse! Now I have to pick all of these up myself and move them closer to the house so they don't get in the way of the machines next week. The ones on the driveway, I'll have to move down the six steps so my car can back out. If he didn't want to take them down the steps, he could have just said instead leaving them where it's most convenient for him. I've recently moved here from north Georgia where we've worked with a lot of landscaping material and companies, and I've never had a company just dump their product instead of stacking them or give me attitude when I've ask them to leave them in a certain area. I'm wondering if it's because I didn't help unload this time. It's nice if I can, but I don't have the obligation to, especially if I just don't have the time. This place is just 2 miles down the road to our new house, but I won't be purchasing from them again. A suggestion to the owner is to treat a customer the same way the second time as you treated him or her the first, or there won't be a third. read more
