First time I used Master Mechanical -- I actually found them on a "Google" search and reading these "Yelp.com" reviews. As we have survived this North cold weather, I woke up Wednesday at 6:30 AM to wake up to a cold house -- furnace not working and thermostat registering down to less than 50 degrees. Tom came out at 9:30 to diagnosis the problem. He shared he had many calls and this was a busy season -- but he wanted to help those dealing with no heat. It concluded it was the circuit board and would have to come back after picking it and taking care of other customers. I expected him back later that day, however, he called at 11:30 AM to say he was on his way. I was so happy -- and relieved. I am sure everyone who has been in this situation agrees -- you do not appreciate your furnace until you have NO heat especially in the severe cold weather. Tom install the new panel -- and I was on my way to moving those degrees up -- and up. At around 3:00 PM, I noticed the motor in the furnace was running, but there was no hot air coming through any of the house vents. I called him at 4:30 PM -- and he willingly offered to come over to check it out. He was at the house within 30 minutes to reassure me. The motor/heat was going through an automatic shut-down so the motor would not burn.....interesting He gave me some suggestions which included being patient to have the furnace to warm the house -- and check if I should shut/turn on the actual unit. Well, at 7:30 PM, my heat is now up to 69 degrees -- and I feel like singing and dancing --- ah, heat again! In summary, I would highly recommend this HVAC company -- I know I will refer them to friend and neighbors as well as schedule future cleanings/maintenance with them. Thank you Tom! These guys were amazing! (Rob and Tom) We would recommend them to EVERYONE! We just moved in to our new home a couple months ago. Last Tuesday we noticed our AC wasn't working. As the 100 degree weather was approaching, we were sweating profusely and freaking out. We called Four Seasons first, as that was the first place that came to our minds. Big mistake. My husband was at work and I was home alone with our 1 year old. The guy told me that we needed a new furnace and that he could have someone come out that day which would have costed us $8800. Before I started signing papers, my husband demanded that we get at least 3 other quotes/opinions. As we had Master Mechanical come to give quotes on a furnace thinking that was the problem, Rob came to assess the situation. He looked at the furnace and the AC unit. He brought to my attention that our furnace is only 10 years old. He also looked at our AC unit and determined what the problem was immediately (which was not the furnace). Instead of charging any service charge (as the other companies did), he called Tom to have him repair the part. They came back together an hour later, fixed the motor and the cost was well under $500. It is sad that we were so desperate for AC that I was considering financing for a furnace! I called Tom around 11 he showed up around 1 it was -7 outside and my furnace was not getting the house warmer than 63. Tom spent a an hour going over all of the trouble codes and the issue ended up being his guess which wasn't in the trouble codes. Turned out the problem was that my AC coil was clooged with dust and the furnace kept overheating because of it. Tom's initial assessment was that we would need to remove the coil and clean it $400-$500 and not something that could be done until spring, he then went the extra mile and found a way to access the coils and offered me the option of cleaning them myself to save money. I can dust and vacuum so I went for it and my furnace is working great! Tom could have milked this for another 2 hours and that would have added another $160 to the bill, instead he offered to come back to put the panel back in place. I will be calling him to service the furnace in the spring! read more

I found this business through a google search using "24 Hour heating service reviews." Tom's business was outlined in a yelp link within the first five results. I clicked and read everyone's review. My house was around 60 degrees last night and it was 10pm. A cold wife equals an angry wife. I called, left a voice mail, and received a call back within 10 minutes. Tom was very courteous and professional and was at my house within an hour. He inspected and found the problem fast. Something that I overlooked. He also offered advice on my aging furnace; laying out several options. Afterwards, we had a pleasant exchange about our time spent in the Marines. I needed to find a reliable heating & air conditioning company. After reading the favorable reviews on Yelp, I called Master Mechanical for service. I left a message with their answering service and Tom the owner returned my call promptly. I explained my issue to him, in which he was uncertain as to why I was having a problem. My fan would run for approximately 20 minutes before the heat would circulate. With this winter's frigid weather, this was not good. When Tom arrived and looked at the furnace, he noticed the sensor was dirty and needed cleaning. I was relieved that it was a minor fix. I was more relieved for Tom's honesty and fair pricing. I will use his service again in the spring to clean and inspect my system prior to air conditioning weather. I highly recommend this company. read more

Timeline, 6am, wife wakes me up, Furnace is not working! 9 degrees outside, 50 inside my house. After spending about 2 hrs of my time trying to diagnose , came to the conclusion, call the experts. 8am, call Master Mechanical, Tom answers, tells me see you in a hour. 8:45am, he arrives, and after a few minutes of troubleshooting and discussion, he leaves at 9:15am to get the parts. About 9:45am he returns, makes repair, and is walking out the door before 10:30am. HOORAY HEAT! Conclusion,Tom was through, timely, professional, and no BAIT & SWITCH. BOTTOM LINE: Incredible service provided by people who care. THE GOOD: My A/C stopped working a few weekends ago when it was unbearably hot out. I called Master Mechanical on a Sunday and left a voicemail. I received a return call promptly from Tom where he asked me to describe my problem. As best I could, I described my issue and within a minute he knew what the problem was and walked me through the steps in how to resolve this on my own. He did this - for free. He advised I could call him back in case his proposed solution did not work but he was right about everything he told me, so the follow up was not necessary. Master Mechanical just did the tune-up of my furnace. The service tech showed up for the appointment right on time. He was uniformed and polite. I told him that the furnace was making a strange sound and I was concerned it might need to be replaced. He cleaned the furnace and explained that the unit had needed a little adjustment which he took care of, but that it was in good shape and there was no need to replace it... what a nice surprise! Our heat went out last night as temperatures started dropping into the 40s. By the time we woke up it was 57 degrees in the house and getting colder. Got Tom's name and business (Master Mechanical) from a Facebook group, took a shot and called him before 9:00am. He returned the call within 30 minutes and was at our house by 10:00am on a Sunday! Fixed the problem quickly, showed us how to fix it again if we ever experience the same issue, and cleaned up the furnace too! Reasonably priced for emergency service on a weekend. I have a rental property and I had an A/C issue that my tenant called about on the Friday of a Holiday weekend.
