I had called these people a couple of weeks ago to set up a move and I remember I had a lot on my plate and it kept interrupting me and asking me questions and I asked him if I could just please finish my thought I had my disabled child in the backseat he's autistic nonverbal and I was very nice about it and so today on the day of the move he sent over his two guys and he had even confirmed with me last week and I was really Pleasant to him very nice on the phone and his two guys showed up this morning and I had texted and called to ask him if they could come an hour later but nobody answered the phone and so his two guys showed up and I had just lost my cell phone and the flurry of trying to get things ready but to be moved and they did not speak English so I asked them to come in and and then one of the guys called his boss the guy had talked to originally I guess and he said that I am being disrespectful and he said he had patience the first time he talked to me that I when I asked him if I could please just finish my sentence and I was not mean or rude to him at all I'm careful not to be that way to service workers and so they he fired me right on the moment that we were supposed to move. And I asked him before they got here I had called to see if they could come an hour later and their answering service answered and I just thought it would be a whole lot easier if I could talk to them directly and so I texted again can you come an hour later and I said it's ridiculous I can't get in touch if I could just speak to them directly and he wrote me a text back really ugly what's ridiculous! And he said I was disrespectful. What rating would you give these guys? On Sunday, October 14, Master Movers were scheduled for a pick up between 8 am and 9 am. at a Buffalo Speedway address. Guess What? They did not show up!! I am a reasonable kind of guy. Perhaps there was a mix up in communication? Maybe someone got sick? Who knows? I tried calling every 15 minutes from 8:45am to 10:am. No answer at the number on listed on Master Mover's web site. I left four messages. The web site states that Master Movers takes calls 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Apparently not. Now it is Tuesday evening, and they still did not have the courtesy to call me and explain to me what happened? What kind of business are they running? I had to find, at the last minute,different helpers from my family to load a U-Haul truck and do the move. I, am 68. My brother-in-law is 65. My nephew is 23. What would have taken four hours for two pros to do the job took took us eight. If my 88 year old mother was in better health we could have postponed the move. But we couldn't. We had to vacate her apartment so that she could have her bed and other necessities in a new location. If you have been thinking about Master Movers, think again. I am certain that Houston has other companies that do not disappoint the customers at a fair price. read more

I would give NO STARS if that was an option. However, I originally chose Master Movers because they had a lot of great reviews. So needless to say I scheduled an appointment. I scheduled the appointment an entire month in advance. My wife and I worked very hard packing up the entire house and breaking down all the furniture so it would make things easier on the movers. Then move day came. They were supposed to be at our home between 8am and 9am. When they didn't show at 9:30am, I called them to check the status of their arrival. I was giving them the benefit of the doubt because you never know if something happened to cause a delay. I got no answer when I called so I left a message. I tried texting, and got no response. I called several more times with no response. We waited at our house until Noon and still no movers and no return call. I decided to call again and this time the call went straight to voicemail. That usually means that they turned off their phone. The sad thing about this whole experience is, I actually recommended them to a couple of other couples who are about to move, because they asked who we were using. I will make sure that our friends do NOT use Master Movers. As if moving isn't stressful enough, but then to have everything packed and ready to go only to have the moving company blow you off. Now we are forced to move our essentials ourselves just so we can make due until another company can assist us. We have hired another company to take care of our needs. Just know if you hire Master Movers, you are taking a great risk and will most likely have to find another company to move you. They clearly do not care! Completely unprofessional company! read more

Master Movers is by far the best company for any of your moving needs. We hired them to move our 1-bedroom apartment plus a packed 10x15 storage unit into our brand new 4-bedroom home. Mario and his crew were efficient, professional, and respectful of our time and property. They worked tirelessly for nearly 8 hours to get us moved (we had a ton of stuff!). They provided all their own packing wrap and blankets which worked very well for our appliances, provided a suitable sized truck so that we only had to make 1 trip, and made good use of their dollies to get the job done quickly. If I could give less than a one star review I would. I was scheduled this morning for an arrival slot between 8am-9am and Master Movers did a no call no show. Even confirmed yesterday afternoon and was told they would be here between those hours. I had referred my coworker to use them this upcoming Sunday but she will be canceling as well since this happened to me. We waited until 10am and tried calling and texting but never heard from them and luckily another company has time today between noon and 3pm. I requested around 8 quotes for movers and decided to go with Master Movers, as Mario had reached out to me, and mentioned they would also be willing to move my massage chair and 3 person hot tub for the same hourly rate. For reference, moving a hot tub by itself normally costs ~$400-600, and I was expecting to pay that for the entire move. They showed up on time (3 people and 26 ft truck), and as promised Mario showed up as well for the move of the massage chair and hot tub. Moving everything out of the house went well and was uneventful. However, it got interesting when we got to our new house, and the only gate that would fit the hot tub was on sitting on a side yard with 30 degree grade. I'm sure normally a hot tub moving company would have charged thousands of dollars and used a crane, but somehow Mario and his 3 guys got it setup in my backyard (I still have no idea how they did it). He also got my ~300 lb massage chair on the 2nd floor without damaging it. Overall what really impressed me about these guys is they aren't really afraid of taking on tough moves. In the end everything got moved without any damage and I was very happy with their work. As I mentioned the $650 I ended up paying is what it normally costs just to move a hot tub. Unlike the big moving companies that have 1-800 numbers and make you leave a message when you call, Mario answered the phone himself. He scheduled me in and didn't charge me anything to reserve a truck and 3 guys. He called the day before to confirm, just like he said he would. They showed up on time and got right to work. They moved us faster than the last guys we hired. Even with a longer drive and more furniture, they still beat our last move time by an hour. These guys were amazing. We had a ton of extremely heavy furniture and we were moving into a 3 story townhome. The movers were able to navigate around the awkward and narrow staircase and somehow get everything in place without any damage to walls or floors. They were quick and never even stopped for a break. The communication was easy and I was able to schedule it directly over the phone without having to wait on call backs or talk to a machine. I contacted Mario on Friday about a possible Sunday move and he was so quick to say yes, communication is superb with this company. Master Movers moved my husband I into our new apartment on June 8th. We hired a 3 man crew with a 26 ft truck. There wS some confusion as to where they were supposed to go but it was quickly resolved. Two of the men worked extremely hard and the third just kind of coasted. We were still able to get everything moved out of our storage unit and into our new place in about 2 hours and 10 minutes. I would hire them again. read more

This is a lie! There were no weird odors of any kind at our place. By 'flooded', I guess he is trying to say 'moldy'?? I guarantee you that was not the case. How would anyone's health be at risk, if we lived there every day and we were perfectly fine??! Would not recommend this company to anyone. I confirmed my move both the night before and morning of my move with the supervisor. The moving guys tried to call me (less then an hour later) while I was on a call with the pod container company and I wasn't able to answer their call right away so they decided to go back to their office. I finally spoke with the supervisor and they headed back to my house. Most of the furniture was moved out of the house and most of the boxes were located in the garage. Another mover explained that it was a simple grab and go move and said it should take about 2 hours. I explained that some of the items were to go into the pod and the others into my Uhaul. The lead guy got instantly upset with me and said that he needed to call his boss. He did apologize once he realized there wasn't a lot to move. They looked at my plants and said that they couldn't be moved but I had just moved the bulk of them three days prior. They were so negative about the whole move and it seemed to be more of a pain to help me move. One of the tasks that I needed done was to move a refrigerator. I was told by the lead that they didn't have the tools to take off my refrigerator doors. I'm sorry isn't the name of your business master movers?????? So they left the refrigerator in the middle of my living room, unplugged. And then they wanted their payment. I asked about getting the tools over to my house and they had no interest in helping me resolve the issue and I still had 30 minutes left on the clock. I called their manager who asked to speak to the lead. Well I had the phone on speaker which the supervisor did not realize. If you are going to speak poorly of your customer make sure you're not on speaker where she can hear you. read more

We had to settle payment before close of business, and even after payment had been settled, they stayed as long as it took for us to be totally satisfied. The case of "who is Mario"? We used these guys not once ,but twice and we were sent 2 totally different crews. We spoke to "Mario" on the phone, and he set us up with a 3 man crew. Neither time did he come with the crew. 1st time went okay, they were only 30 mins late, and moved pretty fast. They moved us in 4 hours. We were overall pleased with the job. We only got off with one broken bulb. Okay, so we set up a second move. Yes, it was last minute, but "Mario" assured us he would move us. Even send a 4 man crew, and it would go pretty quickly. So we scheduled for 1 pm. Come the next day, "Mario" calls and said that the first move he had that day had ran longer than expected, so he was going to send a different crew. That crew would arrive about 3pm. Okay, so now we are 2 hours behind schedule right. 3 PM rolls around and still no crew, So we call "Mario" and ask him what's up. He doesn't know or acts like he doesn't know. Gives us a promise of a "good deal". Little that we knew that would be the first of many false promises and lies. He sends us the driver's number and tells us "Ask them how much longer , and where they were at?" So we call and they tell us they are still like an hour away. Really??? Like it's already 3:30 and your'e telling us another hour???? Yeah, super late!!!! Finally, they arrive at 10 past 5 PM. A different crew from the first time and still no "Mario". Also, only 3 men, when we were promised 4. We were scheduled at 1 PM...so 4 Hours LATE and 1 man short!!!! So they get started and are taking their sweet time. Moving SLOW!!! Started disassembling desks they didn't need to disassemble and eating away at the time. We called "Mario" again, what happened to 4 men??? How much of a "great price" were you going to give us now??? He went around the answers and told us "not to worry" and that he would give us a discount since they showed up so late. Yes, another lie...Finally 5 hours later the crew was almost finished and wanting to get paid for their services. so you disassembled desks, you need to reassemble. Except they couldn't assemble them completely because screws were missing. They gave us some lame excuse,saying the screws were stripped, and that we needed to buy supports,so we call up "Mario". How much is this going to be? He quoted us a whopping $10 less than the original amount...Like are you serious??? You told us $10 more and that was with 4 men. So now we are 1 man less and you guys were 4 hours late and that's the "great price"??? That's the "discount"??? Thanks, you really gave us an awesome deal, NOT!!! Not to mention, one of the desks his crew disassembled that couldn't get reassembled is now ruined!!! What a crock and bunch of LIERS!!!! read more
