I don't usually leave reviews but I do make sure to give credit where credit's due and Texas Move-It definitely deserve it. I had been freaking out about my move from Austin to The Woodlands for weeks, scrambling to find a high rated moving company for a decent price, when I came across Texas Move-It. After speaking with their very helpful secretary Meagan who made sure to answer all my questions and address all of my concerns, I decided to book them for the move. Jack and his crew showed up on time and ready to go, and even with my apartment complex's parking lot renovations making things a bit harder for them, they were able to make my move as stress-free as possible! They disassembled all of my furniture, wrapped it carefully, and loaded the truck all very quickly and efficiently. Their professionalism and preparedness really helped make this a great experience. It was a huge relief knowing that my things are in such good hands. Even during the drive from Austin to The Woodlands, Jack made sure to call every hour or so to let us know how far away they were. Upon arriving at our storage unit, the guys unloaded the truck and arranged my furniture carefully inside the unit. My dad and I were so impressed with their work that we are already planning on hiring Texas Move It for another moving job soon, and any other moving jobs we will have in the future. I don't even know where to start, if I could give these guys 10 stars I would. Let me preface by saying that other moving companies give discounts if you give them a good review on yelp, these guys don't need to do that because their prices are great from the get which makes this review also genuine from the get. They came with their own J&M truck, not a rented u-haul, they were on time, super friendly. The team lead Jack(i) was awesome, made you feel like they had it all taken care of which is a big relief during any move cause it's like a blind date meeting the movers the day of. I didn't catch the other guys names but they were go getters, super careful, did anything we needed, they wrapped EVERYTHING, made sure everything was set in the truck so nothing fell or damaged during the drive. They took a 30 min unpaid break which I thought was cool but looking back I don't actually think they took the full 30 mins! You cannot go wrong with these guys, they come prepared. They took apart anything that wouldn't fit through the door which in my case includes a 115 inch sectional couch from Ikea which I was worried about the most. They were careful not to bang things against door frames or walls. The only other way to know how spectacular they are is to try them yourself. Rock on J&M. read more

I have moved numerous times over the last 5 years but typically with larger movers like United and Mayflower. I had my reservations going with a smaller, local company. The move was only a couple of miles but I had a five bedroom house including fragile items and kid stuff that needed careful moving. After reading the reviews about Texas Move it, I took my chance. I talked with the owner Becka and she gave me assurance. Sure enough Alex and his crew (4 man) came ready to work on time. Small guys but strong and speedy! They wrapped my valuables and we're sensitive to banging walls and such. Becka called me about 2 hours into it and was interested in our well being....in a world of commodity sales it was awesome to hear from an owner who takes a genuine interest in their customers. I sell Commercial RE and can tell you horror stories from owners/tenants relocating. This was not our case and I will be recommending my family, friends and clients to Texas Move it. read more

FYI.....NEVER use Texas Move It to move. Started at 6:30 after three hours of loading they tell me there was broke a piece on my bed. I wasn't mad but asked how I could fix it when I got to the new house. Long story short that ended up with the owner Jack yelling and cussing and saying he was going to stop the job and calling his movers and them locking half of my furniture in the truck and attempting to leave. I blocked the truck and called the police which of course it was a civil matter so I did pay for four hours of moving for them to unload my furniture and put it back in my house and unwrap! Thanks to friends who called two brothers it is now 5am in the morning and we are on our 3rd and final trip of moving furniture. I am forever grateful for friends finding me movers at midnight. Although my furniture may not have been "wrapped" perfectly. 2 men and myself got the job done! Will definitely be filing a complaint with BBB tomorrow! read more

Could not rate J&M's workers any higher. They showed up on time, went right to work, and busted their butts for four hours. I only needed help with the heavy stuff for this move, and the workers handled it beautifully. They took the time to protect the items with pads, and when loading the furniture, one worker stayed on the truck to organize everything to make sure that it could be done in one trip. There was no worker 'slowing down' in order to extend the job time and consequently the hourly cost as I have read in the reviews for other companies. I'm usually slow to heap on praise as I usually feel that doing a good job is pretty much what you're paying them to do, but the workers I had for J&M worked harder than even I would have expected. They definitely made the moving experience so much easier for us, and I hope I am able to recommend them for someone else. read more

We used Texas Move-It in May 2017 and they did a great job!! The company was recommended to me by a friend and I will recommend them to my friends as well. They did an excellent job wrapping all the furniture and no items were damaged at all. This was my first time using a moving company and it was a great decision!! Our move was so much easier this time and it allowed me to still have energy to make all the beds and unpack once they left. The team was very professional and courteous. They left a few chairs until the very end of the move so that my Mom and I had a place to sit while they worked. Everything was put back together in the new house perfect. I do not have any complaints. I had a 3 bedroom home and moved to a 2 story 3 bedroom home, it took 6 and a half hours with 3 men and I tipped 20% as they did an excellent job. Engaged J&M after having read the reviews plus speaking with Matt onsite at my place. They are very professional on the day of the move, and Jack was leading the team of 3 men to move my 2 bedroom apartment. it took 6.5 hours, including the drive from west to north houston. the move went smoothly and they were very cooperative to any requests i had. we were not able to move the piano up the 2nd floor on the first attempt and Jack kindly suggested to come back with more men so that they will not damage the piano and also hurt the men. i think this was very reasonable. finally, Jack called me ahead by one day to inform me that he is ready to help me move the piano with a gadget that he researched on. they came, and completed the move within 40 mins. overall very happy with the service and professionalism and honesty. highly recommended! read more

I had a fantastic moving experience with J&M. They arrived on time, calling me 30 minutes and 10 minutes before arriving. they wrapped everything, put down mats to protect my floors (at both houses!), and communicated clearly with me the whole time. When an older bookcase of mine had the trim peeling off (a preexisting issue), Jack (the lead mover and one of the owners) offered to fix it for me, no charge. All movers wore company shirts, and the lead mover had his name embroidered on the chest. This gave them such a professional appearance and put me at ease. The guys were very quick - moving from a house and storage into another house across town in under 4 hours - and their rates were extremely reasonable. I will definitely be calling J&M the next time I need to move. Everything went off without a hitch! I am so grateful. read more

We called on Boxing Day (Sat 26-Dec-2015) to arrange the earliest possible time to move from our storage units to our new home. Not only was I contacted separately by both the owner but also a manager, but the crew arrived early and was promptly working at our designated start time of 10am. The only small hitch was due to a worker having to leave to be with his wife during the birth of their child, they were finished 20 minutes after he had to go, this extra time was offered to be refunded, to which we declined and offered it to the worker who'd needed to leave, he was a really hard worker. As far as I'm aware, the employee was given a gift from the company. Excellent service and hard working folks, all of them. Definitely using them again. read more

Texas Move-It completed the loading of my 1,200 square foot condo onto the moving truck for a cross-country trip. The movers arrived on time with all supplies needed and promised. They were courteous and respectful of all requests and items. Both men worked diligently and finished the assignment in just under 2 hours. Correspondence with the company was pleasant, the price was very reasonable and scheduling was convenient. I appreciated booking a smaller privately-owned company that I could tell genuinely cared about customer service and satisfaction. I have moved several times and this was the best moving experience. Jack + 2 more person came on time, called ~20 minutes before reaching and completed the move from our sixth floor two bedroom apartment to a single family home in a very reasonable amount of time. The whole thing took about 6 hours in total. I was worried about hiring movers at a hourly rate but I can't complain the professionalism of these movers. Nice and amicable team at the same time very efficient. No broken furniture or glass (disassembly and reassembly was perfect) ...very happy with the overall experience. These guys were amazing!! Everything fragile or important was carefully wrapped and handled with care. The guys moving our stuff were very polite, courteous and just a great attitude overall. We had a LOT of stuff (4 BR house with full attic, 2 car garage, shed, finished basement). They worked their tails off! They ended up needing to send a third truck, but with these guys it was no problem! And we moved long distance from Cleveland to Houston, they delivered the third load the next day! I couldn't believe it. I would not hesitate to use them again or recommend them to anyone. Just a very pleasant experience. read more

I used Move It at the beginning of August for a move from Tomball to the Galleria area. One of the cheapest I found they were as efficient, friendly and hardworking as I could have asked for. Someone called the day before the move to confirm and the movers called to tell me they could come early the day of. Originally scheduled from 12-3pm, they showed up at 10:30 and we were done my 1pm. The 2 movers worked hard to move all of our heavy stuff down 2 flights of stairs without complaint and Jack was especially friendly and professional. They took a lot of the stress out of moving and I will be using them again! read more

This was the easiest move I have ever done, and J&M Movers is worth the money. Becca provided great customer service leading up to the move date, and came personally to bring the contract and explain their process. Alex and his team showed up on time, and took very good care of my items making sure everything fragile was handled properly and all furniture was blanketed and wrapped. J&M Move it did a wonderful job of moving my things from one city to another...They worked fast, efficiently, and had great customer service..Jack and his crew were super friendly and courteous. These guys were great to deal with. I had to stay with the house the day they loaded the storage unit, so my wife went there to help them out there. They were super polite to my wife with "yes ma'am and no ma'am" the whole time. When they got to the house, they promptly set everything where we wanted it and put together everything even though none of it was assembled in storage. They even went the extra mile and covered everything in furniture pads. They even covered the stairs and floors at the entrance to my house to ensure that nothing was damaged on their way in. Jack & Mauricio were AMAZING! I was extremely nervous trusting Thumbtack but Matt & Jack (owners) responded quickly to my emails and provided thorough answers. While they did call and ask abt how much furniture I had, they hadn't anticipated the TYPE - solid wood with plenty of glass. They wrapped every dining room chair, every piece of glass, everything that mattered. Jack found a way to get it ALL done and transported 45 miles across town. Well, these guys got this moving thing all figured out! Santos, Alex and carlos did a wonderful job (we moved out of a 3 bedroom house), wrapped everything with blankets and shrink wrap, my furniture looked like lollipop candy... We got to the new place to unload everything and it all came out with no scratches or dings, the way they stacked and packed the truck was very efficient and it didnt allow any other items in the truck to ding each other... I've used them twice now for moving my three bedroom apartment, and both times have been smooth and great experience. The movers showed up on time and were very professional. They handled all my belongings with care, and moved everything with out damaging anything. Becca and two others guy's came by briefly mid way through our move to ensure our move was progressing smoothly and efficiently.
