Our problem: We have an irrigation system with 9 valves mapping to 9 different zones on the microcontroller. Zones 1-4 stopped working suddenly. Also our Zone 9 was disconnected and we had a separate "workaround wire" for Zone 9 which we never liked because it was a visible extraneous wire glommed on as a hack/workaround. Quote: Ramon came to our place and gave us an honest quote. No blanket solutions like "replace all the wiring", "replace all valves", "replace the controller", etc. Ramon has a device that can trace the electrical wires (from the controller to the valve) and locate the disconnect. The previous crew had spliced bunch of wires which was susceptible to disconnection. Ramon put in the proper connectors and gave us a 5-year warranty on his work. This review is overdue, but add me to the list of very happy clients of Master Tech Irrigation. Having interviewed several contractors for this project, it was quickly apparent that Ramon is an experienced, irrigation expert and he would be able to address our needs. The project entailed mapping an existing irrigation system, replacing an aging controller, and identifying / fixing leaks. During that process, he resolved mismatched sprinkler heads that a handyman had used to band-aid a previous issue. He did also warn that he suspects other leaks may exist in the main line that will require more serious leak detection (but that's my next project). Due to rainstorms, I didn't run the system for a few weeks - after the first run, the water usage still seemed a bit high. I found a couple of issues after testing the individual zones (easy task with my new irrigation maps) and notified Ramon. Last Nov, we let go of our gardener who has been managing our yard for the previous few years. As we took over the service ourselves, we noticed that many of my sprayers were not covering the lawn entirely and that a few plants were getting water, but others were not.
