For the past two years I was watering my lawn all the time, sometimes twice a day during Summer and whenever we vacationed or left home for a week I was always worried about the lawn dying and all the effort it would take to regrow. It started to become a chore rather than something enjoyable. We finally decided to get a Sprinkler System installed and so glad we found Jon. Communication was great right away with super fast replies on Yelp and I believe Jon even came the next day for an estimate. He finished the sprinkler system in less than a week which is what he quoted with excellent attention to detail and a very honest price. The complexity was we were doing concrete work at the time so there were two contractors at our house at the same time. He set me up with a 3 zone system, the front area is exposed to a lot of sun and I always struggled with keeping things growing there. The cool thing is the Rachio system he installed automatically chooses ideal times to water based on daily weather reports. You can see the "after" pictures which show my lawn is still nice and green despite the heat and now I get to water for pleasure instead of doing it as a task! I enjoyed bantering with Jon as well, he is a very knowledgeable guy and also very easygoing and chill to talk to.

He and his crew came out and in a couple days were able to install a brand new Hunter system with sprayers and multiple drip lines. Despite having to trench through my yard, when they were done it looked as good as new. They took special care around existing landscaping and did not damage anything during the installation process. It's been a few months now, and the system is working great. Grass is green and plants are blooming. Sherman is easy to work with and super responsive. We hired Mike to install irrigation in our backyard. Our previous irrigation system had leaks etc…read more During the site visit, to which Mike showed up drunk (which is fine, whatever), he mentioned that his workers would add irrigation to the pots, remove existing pipes, and bury the low-voltage electric wire which was going to be running along the pipes anyway. Mike canceled on the originally scheduled date once. Finally, Mike sent two guys to install the irrigation. They were fine and were happy to bury the electric wire when requested, but then later Mike came and rudely told me that that wasn't part of the spec, and that "these guys are stupid, if you ask them to wash your dishes they would do that too". I didn't appreciate the racist comment but let it go. But that was not all... there isn't much space between our home and the next one (think 12 inches or so), and he asked how we would get the siding repaired should we ever need to. I said I didn't know.. he said "maybe you can hire an Ethiopian to get in there, they're all thin because of the famine there". Truly WTF Anyway... judging the work itself - the installation seemed fine when it was done, but we later noticed and had to patch four leaks. I'm not sure if there are more. The piping they used, I was later told, was lower quality too. I'm not sure how long it'll last. I was unable to get competing quotes because we were short on time, but later I realized that his quote was a bit higher than others for the same work. He insisted I pay in cash, and so I did. I then spent literal WEEKS following up with him for an invoice (which I need for bookkeeping), and he kept blowing me off. He said things like "I had a family emergency", "I have 50 jobs this week", "I'm busy" and then simply stopped responding. He also said that it's just 2 minutes of work and that he would get to it... but he never did.

There's nothing like moving into a new home where your absolute FAVORITE thing was the yard, and…read morethen finding out that the irrigation is completely broken! It was literally a scramble drill to manually water every day until we could move in - not exactly the home-coming we were hoping for. Gerardo and his team restored our faith in contractors. I can't say this with near the emphasis I'd like to right now, but it's important. So I'll try. This crew truly takes pride in what they do. They really care. They were meticulous, respectful, prompt with scheduling and work ethic. Every day, (my wife reports) they busted their butts! So let me back up. Day one when we moved in, we found a blowout on the first manifold of our irrigation system. No water to any of the 12 irrigation zones. Beyond that, we came to learn that tree roots and other problems had completely taken 2 zones offline, and there were an assortment of other problems all over the yard. The wasted water (and bill) must have been enormous for the sellers. Gerardo promised me that he would fix our manifolds (all five of them), plumb them into nice underground vaults, and then ensure every plant on the property had water. He did exactly what he said he would do! In some cases, I had to laugh... If I could complain about anything, the watering efficiency is more targeted than I expected. We literally have little spouts from multiple drip lines directly INSIDE several bushes. ZERO waste. I've been running this thing daily to try and coax what were dying plants back to life. But I think my water bill may still be less than my prior home. Our previously dying plants are greening up. Gerardo fixed all the wiring, programmed my controller, and set us up with a VERY automated yard. The work is beautiful! FAR better than any irrigation system I've had before. Gone are our multiple PVC towers. Now we have beautiful, invisible, underground access panels. Our yard NOW does what we thought it was going to from day 1. Do yourself a favor. Your search for a landscaping company needs to no further. This is your landscaping company.
