The crew was four guys and they were all friendly and quick, happily answered my questions and left my backyard looking sooooo clean their clean up job after all the work was truly impressive. A couple days later someone else came by to do the stump grinding and he was also great but I unfortunately don't remember his name! Only small complaint is that communication with the office/scheduling etc had some minor hiccups across the process of getting someone out for a quote, work being done etc but everyone was very nice throughout so it was just a small annoyance not a big issue.

When my partner called to make the appointment, he was clear on what needed to be done. We have an invasive plant that is spreading everywhere. Mike told me that they don't take care of invasive plants. But, on their website, it says they take care of diseased trees. My partner texted pictures. The company knew what we needed done. But, Mike said his time is very valuable and his service is a minimum of over $500. He had an attitude as soon as he showed up to the house. My partner was in a meeting, because he works from home. So, without even waiting 5 minutes, Mike wanted to leave. I actually had to almost plead with him not to leave, so my partner can talk to him. I wish that I can just give this company 0 stars. I'm in the business of customer service. I definitely know Mike's behavior was very inappropriate. It's too bad for the rest of the team members. I would like to stress that my partner did provide multiple pictures. And, in the text, he mentioned that it was a black locust was less than 3" diameter and now there are new shoots were up to 1" diameter and less than 8' tall. It is not our responsibility for the company to clearly not read their own texts. AND, I'M GOING TO REITERATE THAT NO-ONE SHOWED UP TO THE FIRST APPOINTMENT. MIKE WASTED OUR TIME!!!! I forgot to mention that we were repeat customers. Previously, we had a project by this company and spent well over 5k. This experience the second time was truly disappointing just because Mike had a bad day. He should've checked his texts or communicated with the team more carefully, before he had to go sit in traffic. We couldn't have been more clearer on what needed to be done.

Unfortunately, MTC was the highest bidder (by far) so I really had to go with a more economical choice. Found a small, local company with a great arborist who bid well under 1/2 what MTC was asking. So, if you are price conscious you might want to look at obtaining several quotes. If your prime objective is great service from staff and a great outcome from the crew who does the work, I'm sure you will be happy with these guys. Even though I wound up choosing a different company I felt that anything short of a five star review would be inappropriate since I was totally happy with the treatment I received from everyone working there.

The Yelp response resulted in submissions from 5 different companies responding with contact details for arranging an estimate. As a result of Tony's tree service response which included a ballpark estimate on the basis of my input, I contacted Tony and made arrangements for a same day on site estimate. After reviewing the requirements, which I expanded during the visit, we agreed on an estimate which I believed to be very reasonable for the scope of effort. Better yet, Tony proposed commencing work the next day which was very important due to weather and concerns with tree stability. The results provided by Tony's Tree Service exceeded my expectations. The tree has been trimmed back and is stable with no problems. Following my requested instructions, he thoroughly cleaned the area and was careful due to a fence bordering the tree and adjacent properties.
