I went in first by myself with the ring and David looked at the ring and thought it could be enlarged and detailed to an 80% match. He also had someone show me new rings, but he noted they would all be $1,000+ due to the current price of gold. I was entirely prepared to buy a new ring. David offered to sell me a new ring he had in stock so my husband had something to open on our anniversary and said we could come back in and either get the ring I bought sized or let him pick another ring if he preferred another style. While he made that offer, he suggested I come back in with my husband so he could be properly sized and we could try to enlarge his existing ring. I brought my husband back the following week and we learned his ring size has gone from a 9 when we were married to an 11 1/4. I didn't think there was any way the ring could be expanded that much, but David talked to Bobby and they thought they could do it to an 85% match for $200. We decided to try the resizing route because my husband was sentimental about his original ring, but with the understanding that if we didn't like the match we would replace it with a new ring. When I picked up the ring, I was amazed! I could not see any imperfections. Perhaps you could with a jeweler's ring, but nobody is looking at a ring on someone's hand with a jeweler's ring. Today is our 32nd wedding anniversary. The resized ring was on my husband's hand (his choice) before he even got in the shower. We were an easy upsell and it was only with the recommendation of David that we went the route of resizing. They tested it for ten minutes, then asked me if I wanted to exchange it for something else. I said, "No. There are no other hard drives here." They asked for the card I used so they could refund the credit, which I gave them. Then they gave me a receipt that says "Debit Refund $45". I took it and walked out of the store. After watching my account for the past 5 days, I see that my refund hasn't posted. I retrieved my receipts (both the original and the refund) and I see that at the bottom of the refund receipt, it says, "UNAUTH TRANS" and the date on the refund receipt says 12/10/12. Is that shady or what? I'm going to call them to complain as soon as they open today.
