I have a "special" ten year old GSD. He has specific food requirements and is very fearful and dog reactive. Many facilities will not take him. He is work... Usually I have family take him when I have to go out of town. However, this time the whole family was going away and boarding was the only option. I was very impressed with the cleanliness and diligence of the facility. It actually smelled nice! The staff made sure to take down AND understand all of Roscoe's needs before we booked and again at drop off. But what was the best moment was when a staff member took his leash to lead him to his kennel. For the first time ever there was NOT a fight, hesitation or even a glance back! As a neighbour we are about a mile away from Masters, can hear the dogs at kennel, barking every morning and particularly on Saturdays and Sundays. They start barking at daybreak and never stop until fed or tended to about 8 o'clock. -These dogs are not tended to properly and fed when they should be. In fact, I'm my front porch right now on Sunday and it is currently 7:30 am and many dogs are barking very loudly and I can hear them and I'm about a mile away so extremely loud. read more

I did Boarding for my dog, she was dropped off Friday morning May 14th so I could attend a Family Memorial Service. I went a day early to pick her up. I called ahead of schedule to let them know I was picking her up. 1. She is housed trained so she doesn't potting inside! 2. I gave them 7 treats, as they told me they only give 1 treat per feeding time. 3. I requested pictures when she went outside to run around, I even paid extra. I got one picture and remark on Friday @ 12:35 pm. No more the rest of the day, none on Saturday, and none on Sunday. 4. I spoke highly to family this weekend, saying they always treat her great. 5. Picked her up Sunday 5:36 pm. she smelled like urine, her blanket smells of urine, her two stuffed animals smell like urine. I get her groomed professionally but tonight I had to give her a bath and I am a disabled Military Veteran. But through my pain I wanted my dog to smell nice. I will not ever come back, and I would advise anyone to make a surprise visit to see how there family member staying there is treated too! read more

They were great! They went out of their way to accommodate me when I needed someone to take my dogs for a day. I was impressed with the amount of attention and exercise each dog was given, and also how they respected the needs of individual dogs. We boarded our dogs at Masters Boarding Kennels for a week while we went on vacation. Our experience was a good one. Our dogs were clean when we picked them up (we paid for pre-pickup grooming), they were happy, and seemed to have a good experience. I would recommend Masters over other places we have used. They are professional, knowledgeable, and the staff is friendly. We will use them again. read more

We have boarded the dog twice and did dog basic training. Getting the the training scheduled was difficult. The training was useful but could have been better organized. The first kenneling was fine except he wasn't bathed as we asked before we arrived at the scheduled time for pickup. The second kenneling was less great. We scheduled a month and a half in advance and when we took our dog in we were told they could not accept him because he did not have a shot. He didn't have it the first time and it is not commonly given by vets. So we took our dog in next morning and got the vaccine and returned to kennel. (Delaying our departure by a day) We noticed several handwritten signs that said all dogs must have vaccines and not to be angry with staff. This seemed very unprofessional to us since they knew we were coming for over a month and clearly knew we needed this vaccine but chose to inform us when we dropped the dog off. We were upset but never yelled or even blamed the staff member that was there. I would suggest this place on the condition that you don't expect too much. Our dog seemed happy both times, perhaps they need better customer service skills. We will be looking into other kennels, because it is our money and we both feel they are in need of a better system for scheduling and to call people back when they call multiple times for the training classes. read more

These kennels are fantastic! We were moving into the area, but had to board our three cats while we waited to close on our house. The staff took wonderful care of our cats at a very reasonable price, and were amenable to our constantly changing closing date. They even took the time to observe our elderly cat and reported that he was having some health issues. I will definitely use Masters again. I moved to Bowling Green about 5 years ago and I adopted my dog at the same time. I tried about five different boarding facilities in Bowling Green before deciding to board at Master's exclusively. Master's is actually a 25 minute drive from my home, but very well worth it to have a happy dog. My dog absolutely loves to go here! She starts to cry and whine out of excitement every time we pull into the driveway. The staff is always wonderful and they always call me and my dog by name, and it's been like that since our first visit. When my dog comes home from her visits she sleeps for at least a day because she's so worn out from all of her playing! They have indoor/outdoor kennels and do group play times. I also have my two cats boarded and groomed here and their grooming is pretty impressive. read more

I was looking for a professional groomer instead of a bigbox groomer. The cut my Welsh Terrier got was a Schnauzer cut and not a Welshie cut. Had she been a Schnauzer, it was a decent cut with no nicks or unevenness. Her nails weren't trimmed as I had asked for. BE AWARE THAT YOU'LL NEED TO PROVIDE PROOF OF ALL IMMUNIZATIONS even to just get a cut. This includes Bordella. I am still waiting to hear back 5 weeks after I twice requested the trainer to schedule some private training sessions. As a breeder they are obviously on top of their game as evidenced by the plethora of trophies. Clearly they breed winning Dobies but if you plan on using the boarding or training you should understand that their attention to detail is lacking. My biggest beef with this kennel is about poor follow-up and lack of attention to detail read more

We have used Master's Kennel at least 4 times for boarding our dogs while out of town. The stays ranged from 3 days to a week. We haven't had any issues making reservations or any problems at pick ups. Our dogs seem happy at pick up every time. We have scheduled baths for pick up and it was always done on time. We have a dog that has separation anxiety and she does very well while in their care. They accommodated her need to be kenneled with our other dog. We haven't experienced any issues with vaccines due to our experience and knowledge that boarding facilities require Rabies, DHLPP, and Bordetella vaccines. We are sure to keep our fur babies up to date. read more
