I would not recommend this place at any time for anything ever. My eye glasses are repairable and I wear them 24 seven. Nose piece broke off of my high-quality Oakley Glasses. He tells me with attitude that it'll have to be tomorrow. No way today. Not willing to work with the customer at all even later today. I fully understand he may be busy. But his customer relations skills are zero the way he presents himself. No consideration to attempt to repair these glasses maybe even later today. It was tomorrow or down the highway. I took brand new jaqués Marie pair of shades and i wanted prescription & tint I had bought them a day before in Beverly Hills and wanted a place that had variety in colors. The costumer service from them was amazing! They had so many options of colors and light tints, I fell in love with the options. Found a Hollywood purple gradient color and I decided to trust them. Left them on a Tuesday afternoon and came back for them Thursday after they called me to say it was ready for pick up. Right in time for a trip I have tomorrow. Bob at Master Optical, is the Chuck Norris of opticians. He'll take on any mission his colleagues are too chicken, mediocre, or greedy to accept. I first went to see him with a pair of round communist style frames that had traveled around the world with me and had broken at an extremely delicate spot. All the other guys looked at me with a somber expression, shaking their heads. Bob took on the challenge and fixed them for a price so low, I later felt shame having not negotiated it up. Since then, my family members and I have broken many other frames that he has repaired. For laughs, I always first go to another few places who I know will refuse to do the work or charge of fortune just to examine them and let me know if yes or no they will try fixing them. Bob is brave, ethical, and I suspect that he does his work so well because he sees his mission as making the world a better place. Today I just walked away with the $300 pair I bought for my son and that he broke a week later. I went back to the store where I bought them. Out of the pure kindness of their hearts, they offered to replace them for the same $300, assuring me that they were beyond repair. And indeed the hinge was broken at a very critical spot. Bob fixed them in less than 24 hours, for 40 bucks. That's an extra $ 260 I can use taking care of my family in these times of high inflation. i have a fave pair of cole haan wayfarer glasses that plopped to the concrete, and the metal hinge snapped in two! tbh i would have thought the plastic would shatter or lens would crack. but nope - the metal hinge broke instead! i love these shades b/c they have mirrored lenses for a bit of panache and i look so hot in them i mean really super duper hot, like scorching hot for sure! ; - ) i didn't really know u could even fix this kind of thing but was happy to investigate and try! my basic poking around first led to big optical stores like lenscrafters, but nothing i read about them said that they could or would fix a hinge - i'm sure they'd just rather sell you a whole new pair of specs! but when i started seeing that smaller mom and pop stores did do these kinds of fixes when possible, i honed in on masters since it was close by. and all the reviews were good ones. so i brought this in, the genteel owner told me yes they could fix it, and two days later they told me to bring my ass on down and pick 'em up cause they were ready! (well he didn't really say bring yo' ass down but... u know what i mean.) anyway yup indeed they were. repaired, adjusted (since the other hinge was also a touch bent), cleaned up, and almost nice as new! it cost $20 and that was a small price to pay to get them working again. always happy to find a great small biz and support them. i have tossed many pairs of sunglasses bc i didn't know they could be un-bent or re-glued or repaired or have parts replaced. but now i will always come check here to see if they can be fixed first. u should too! ; - ) read more

Bob and Judy are the best! So professional, polite, knowledgable and efficient. I am really glad that I found Master's Optical on YELP. For only $60 they replaced the lenses to my Tom Ford sunglasses quickly and perfectly. Everyone in the store was wearing a mask as was Bob and Judy. Everyone kept a safe respectable distance. It was easy to find this little gem of a shop nestled in a shopping center on the North side of Beverly. The parking situation was easy breezy. I will definitely use their services again...only wish I had known about them in the past when I had other scratched and broken expensive sunglasses. It's worth the money to repair. Oh, and they are a dog friendly business and allowed my dog to come inside which was very kind of them. I am grateful that they were also very understanding of my dog. I was so happy to find Master's Optical. Bob does great work for an incredibly reasonable price! I wanted to turn a pair of Saint Laurent sunglasses into prescription sunglasses. My normal optician (not Bob) said it would cost $300 to do this - OUCH. But Bob took a look and said he could do it for $60 (sixty!). They turned out perfectly and look exactly the same as the original lenses, but with my prescription. I ended up taking a second pair of Saint Laurent sunglasses to him to do the same. These had a gradient/faded lens with a blue tint, he matched them exactly for the same $60 price. And! He did each pair in about 2-3 days. Definitely recommend Bob and will go back with any and all future eyewear needs! read more
