Vegan pizza

Masthead was another stop on our Cleveland Brewery passport tour. We love the location. It is easy to get to if we are going to a baseball game or a show at Playhouse Square. The seating is more family style. You order at the counter and are given a buzzer to go get your pizza. Given the size of the dining area this seems like an efficient way to service lots of people. We order beer and pizza on this visit. The beer is always refreshing. The pizza this time was mostly crust. The toppings were very sparse. It could have been that they were really busy. The pizzas in the past have been very good.

Masthead will always be one of my favorite breweries in cleveland and maybe ever. The vibe is fantastic with loads of seating, indoor and outdoors. The beer selection numerous while also being a high quality product. Each one tastes great and the beer rotates frequently. The pizza is also pretty decent, so it is worth a try.

Looking for dinner near hotel and stumbled across this place. So glad we did. I highly recommend - its even family friendly. You order food and drink at bar and it's open seating, definitely accommodating for large parties. There is indoor and outdoor seating. The best beer we had was the Battle Dwarf, a German inspired Golden Ale. We even bought a four pack to go. There are lots of beers that have four packs for you to take home at a reasonable price. The blood orange cosmo was not good, I recommend you stick with beer. For food the chicken quesadilla was excellent.

Still my favorite brewery. And probably my favorite spot in CLE to stop in for a beer and the best pizza. The service is always so quick, even during games. The area is wide open, even when it's crowded there is plenty of space to move around.

We loved how open and inviting it is! The Christmas decorations were very festive! Loved the ornaments hanging and the garland around the poles, it really took the space to the next level. Our server/ host Luke 20/10 he was the best, catered to our party needs, brought food over, and asked if we were good all night long! The food was also very good! The everything pretzels, the chicken quesadilla, and plant of the pizzas were amazing. We loved that they offered a vegan option!

Gonna make my time here brief, but Masthead is 100% where it's at. This place seems to be a top choice for us when our group is in the city for our annual Browns Game outing. Absolutely great vibes, always a packed house and always good eats. Friendly service and a wide menu give everything a downtown joint needs. Masthead really knocks it out the park for me. The neo-style pizza is unique and well crafted, and is a savory, crispy delight to the taste buds. Though I can't quite recall which beverage I tried, our group always has good opinions of the beer. I can't wait for my next visit.

The Old Fashioned (from the tap) was better than I expected and the Hazy IPA beer was really good. They had a pizza oven and wow, that pizza was delicious- definitely go for that. We substituted mozzarella for the provolone for the PSM - yum. The vibe is super casual with tons of TV screens for watching the game. Overall, one of our favorite breweries in Cleveland that we visited! Totally recommend!

Everything Pretzel w three house-made sauces: pimento cheese, Bertman stadium mustard, and an IPA honey mustard.

I visited Masthead Brewing Co. and everything from the food to the atmosphere exceeded expectations! We tried the Everything Pretzel, and it was huge--crispy on the outside, soft and fluffy on the inside, and cooked to perfection. It came with three house-made sauces: pimento cheese, Bertman stadium mustard, and an IPA honey mustard. All were good, but the standout for me was the hot mustard (I think it may have been the stadium one)--so flavorful with just the right kick! We also shared the Pistachio Pesto Pizza, and it was fantastic. It had basil pesto, pistachio nuts, cherry tomatoes, marinated chicken, fresh mozzarella, and grated parmesan--the flavors blended beautifully, (I ordered mine without chicken, so vegetarian-friendly!). The crust was perfect and the ingredients felt fresh and thoughtfully paired. I already have a list of other menu items I want to try when I'm back in the area! For drinks, we ordered: * Blood Orange Cosmopolitan - smooth and refreshing, with vodka, blood orange liqueur, lime, and a splash of cranberry. A really nice balance of citrus and tartness. * Old Fashioned (on draft) - made with Buffalo Trace Bourbon, Angostura bitters, and simple syrup. Classic and well executed. The space itself is big, bright, and welcoming--lots of communal-style seating with a casual vibe. You order at the counter, get a buzzer, and pick up your food when it's ready. Despite the laid-back setup, it was very clean and well-maintained. Tons of large TVs playing different games throughout the space, so no matter where you sit, you'll catch the action. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and there's an impressive selection of beer, cocktails, and spirits. Their brewery is onsite but sectioned off from the dining area--it adds to the cool vibe of being in a place that takes its craft seriously. All in all, a great experience from start to finish. I'll absolutely be returning when I'm back in town!

Fun brewery with a lot of beer options. A lot of seating indoor and outdoor. They also have good food. We got pizza and quesadillas that tasted perfectly with our beer. Staff were incredibly kind and accommodating to our large group.

In town for a conference and looking for a good spot for a bite to eat and a cold beverage and boy I hit the jackpot! Super cool vibes with a solid list of IPA's, great brick oven pizza and an excellent staff! Well done Masthead Brewing

Cool, rustic/industrial interior. Enjoyed the Tire Swing hazy IPA, but especially enjoyed the steak fajita pizza. Exceptional!

Chicken bacon ranch pizza was the worst thing I've ever had. The chicken was chewy and not done.

Do they allow dogs?

I don't believe so, as they prepare food on site. They do have an outside seating area where pets may be allowed though.

If you're a beer fan, and fan of local and beer history, this is a must visit stop in downtown Cleveland. There's a ton to see here. If you reflect outside, you can see how this used to be a bunch of separate businesses and houses that gradually turned into the large spot that's here today. The exterior is historic brick facades, some of which carry over inside. It's along a street that has been transformed into pedestrian only access, so you'll have a pleasant visit if you sit outside to enjoy the fresh air, shady trees, and passersby. Inside there is a ton to look at. The main entrance toward the middle hold the original brewing system from when they first started; they've come a long way. To the left you'll find the merchandise store, with beer to go, plus a ton of apparel, swag, and other merchandise. To the right begin the bar areas, and there are a few. The old bar is here, right at the crossroads of all the staircases and hallways: the basement is its own vibe and also has the only restrooms, main level has various seating areas. If you're at the main bar, you can order direct from the bar; our bartender was so fast and attentive despite the huge crows. Upstairs is another experience with old creaky floors and many small rooms for more intimate conversations. Everywhere throughout is historic brewery art, trays, bottles, etc. from the region, most of which are long gone. Their beer is consistently well made and flavorful, I'm told they have amazing holiday traditions and events here. It's well worth a visit.

Thanks to this merger, there were selections from each on tap as each has their own specialties and signature. They have mostly inside seating, with bar stools. A merchandise shop is at the host stand. This brewery feels like it's in a quiet residential neighborhood because it is; nearby is a wine by but otherwise it's picturesque streets and homes. Going inside it looks a little unremarkable, like a garage brewery anywhere. But inside it's special. The main bar room is like an open barn, with warmth tasteful decor. Behind the bar is an antique ice chest, used to display their merchandise. They have a small menu of tasteful styles; we all got to talk to one of the brewers who was clearly proud of what they make. Further inside there are other rooms for private events, working brewery areas, historical decor, and restrooms at the end. The real draw here though is the outdoor beer garden: wood chip floor, big comfy Adirondack chairs, picnic tables, high tops, fire pit areas, basically any type of seating for groups or singles. Big trees, ivy, green everywhere; it was so relaxing enjoying our flights as cyclists and others came in and out through the gate from the street. The beer was also great, delicious quality and reasonable prices. This is a must-visit brewery in Cleveland, you sure don't feel like you're in a city when you're here.
