Wonderful meal, as expected. It's a very pretty location. Note it's valet parking only, although you can park across the street and brave the busy road if you wish. The dining room is the usual Mastro's - dark (a little too dark I would suggest) and classy. One thing I don't love... they do really jam you in there on the banquette booth things... you will have neighbors and they will be very close. I could do without this. The bread service is definitely pushed. They ask you if you want to order it as soon as you're seated. We sucumbed, but for two people, it's too much bread. Be better than we were and pass on this. The drinks are lovely - they even have a good mocktail list if you must. Service is extremely polished, natch. I had the crabcakes with a side of lobster mashed potatoes. Delicious and entirely too much food. My friend had the French onion soup (she loved it) and the scallops. Beautiful and also delicious. A truly great dinner, as it pretty much always is at any Mastro's.

Thank you for another great evening at Mastors. It was pure perfection from the Rib-Eyes, the sides, the dessert, and the most professional waitress that one can ask for. Joanna had a kind demeanor and personality that you would think you had the only table in her area. Thank you Joanna for making this evening so special!

Although a franchise, Mastro's is probably one of my favorite steakhouses. I love their sushi selections, especially the hamachi with crispy onions and lobster roll. Their steaks are always perfectly seasoned with an incredible crust. We always ball out and get the Japanese A5 Wagyu and it is ALWAYS worth the price.

I had a wonderful time celebrating my birthday dinner here with my wife, daughter, mother and mother in law. I made reservations off OpenTable which was easy. We chose the valet parking because we had our baby daughter with us and it wasn't too much. We arrived early and got seated quick so it wasn't an issue. Our server was Raymond and he was amazing with the customer service. There no complimentary bread here so just be aware and no free refills on the soda. The men's bathroom also have a baby changing station which is important to me now since I'm a new dad. I got the 12oz bone in filet at medium rare since Raymond said it will have more flavor. My wife and mom got the Chilean Sea Bass. My wife mom got the Norwegian Cold Water Salmon. Raymond said the steak plate will be hot since the steak will be cooked at 400 degree so it will continue to cook on the plate. We loved all our dish, my filet steak was amazing and flavorful like Raymond said. Our sides were the fries, Mac and cheese, sauteed asparagus and rosemary garlic wild mushrooms. They will serve you the side so I thought that was great. The birthday chocolate cake was delicious, very heavy chocolate.

The gnocchi looked like it had sat for a while before reaching our table.

The service was actually pretty good, but the food is just not what it used to be. The steak was overcooked and all the sides were greasy and old looking.

Tomahawk way too salty and tough!

Wow! First of all let me start with how incredible the service is here! From valet to seating, to our server and the helpers-all so professional and friendly. Eric was our waiter and he was so nice, gave great suggestions, very knowledgeable and attentive throughout our meal. Our drinks were amazing! My husband loved his Manhattan and my lemon drop martini was so yummy and entertaining haha! They put dry ice at the bottom of the glass so it boiled with bubbles until the drink was gone! Unfortunately, they don't put very much alcohol in this drink. I couldn't taste the vodka and...Normally when I drink lemon drops, I feel a little tipsy. Did not feel the effects of this drink at all. Still so yummy! We ordered the bread (they charge $5-worth it) and Dungeness crab cocktail and oysters and oh my! Absolutely delish!! We could've just ate this for dinner! We shared Caesar salad, also wonderful! We actually wished we would've stuck with the appetizers because the main course was truly a disappointment. My 6oz petite filet mignon was tough! Literally struggled to cut it and chewing was difficult. I had to send it back. Our waiter was very nice about it and the replacement was perfect! Tender like butter! As it should be! Why wasn't that served to me in the first place? My husband ordered the Australian Wagyu Tomahawk steak chop what a disappointment! Perfectly cooked yet it was a bit tough and very salty and we are pretty sure it was the special $16 butter he opted for on top of his steak. For a $195 piece of meat? And Australian Wagyu? It should not have been the slightest bit tough. He did not send it back but mentioned it to our server who surprisingly didn't suggest a replacement. Also, we ordered a side to share-The lobster mashed potatoes and that was so disappointing! EXTREMELY SALTY! We ate a few bites, hoping it would get better but unfortunately it was just awful! There were some little chunks of lobster mixed in and a lot of claw meat on top-The claw meat was so tough I had to spit it into my napkin. The claw meat was also very fishy and extremely salty. Again our server was very kind about it and took it away without charge. This was our first time dining here and honestly? I don't think we're coming back. We've had much better experiences at numerous other high end steak houses who offer similar menu items with similar pricing. This was a very expensive dinner that did not offer an excellent dining experience. I might recommend them specifically for the Dungeness crab appetizer and the oysters but if you're craving a fantastic steak dinner? You might want to elsewhere...

If you are looking for a place to celebrate , then Mastro's is always a good place to celebrate! As for food, you get what you would expect for a steakhouse restaurant. And the ambiance is typical of steakhouses! To start out, let's talk about ambiance. This is not the kind of restaurant you go for a quiet romantic dinner. The ambiance is graced with dimly lit lights, but that's where that romantic vibe stops. Like most steakhouses, the dining area is riddled with tables that are close by each other. My chair was hit several times between the staff and the guest behind me- that's how close the tables are. Also you will have large parties of guest mixed within tables for two. The night that we visited there was a double birthday celebration for young kids who were banging on glassware with knifes and talking loudly. Plus you can hear all the conversations of guest tables around you. If you do seek a private space, the restaurant does have private rooms. For seating, the bar has plenty of high top tables. Tables are closest to the live music when offered. Plus there are to dinning spaces with low top tables for small and large parties. The restaurant also features private dinning spaces. As for service- it was ok. When you are paying significant money, you expect service to be more than ok. Simple gestures were missed, for example after delivering food to one's table, you should check to see if food was prepared properly. A check should not be provided until you request it- as one may want more. And when check is provided, you should say thank you for dining with us. Very simple gestures go a long way- plus we had several waiters throughout our meal rather than one that made sure our experience was well received. On the plus side, the host at the front desk was lovely! For food, as you would expect for Mastro's was mostly on par. We started out with the cocktail shrimp- the shrimp were good but you only get four shrimps for 30 dollars. For dinner we had the tuna and filet. The tuna was amazing- perfectly cooked and properly prepared. The filet was cooked properly as well. For sides, we ordered the scallop potatoes and asparagus. The scallop potatoes were really good and rich. The asparagus was just ok, they should of been cut a bit further up on the stalk. And to celebrate they provided us a lovely dessert and fresh whip cream! A nice touch! As for drinks- My lemon drop martini was a miss- I asked for it tart and was overly sweet and not tart- this seems like a staple drink for a steak house! The second time they made it, it was slightly better but still off. For 20 dollars or so the drink should be spot on! Especially a classic drink! With that said, the presentation of the drink was amazing- nice sugar rim with a bubbly affect! Bonus: as a bonus the night we visited, Friday night, there was live music- in the piano bar there was a pianist. Not sure of the schedule for live music. As for parking- you can valet for a nominal amount. Or you can park on the street. With the theater across the street is not in session, there is tons of street parking. Lastly, there is a dress code- but it does not seem like it is followed well- people were coming in track pants- but perhaps that is the new business causal these days. Overall, we had a good experience- just wish the service was as good as the food quality for the price

    Mastro's Signature Warm Butter Cake

We celebrated our 2-year anniversary at Mastro's Steakhouse on Sunday night, and the experience exceeded our expectations, especially because of our waiter, Chris. We had a 9:00 PM reservation, right at closing time, and I honestly wasn't sure what to expect walking in that late. The dining room had mostly cleared out, but you would never have known it from the level of service we received. Chris was incredibly professional, attentive, and genuinely caring from start to finish. Not once did we feel rushed. Instead, he made the evening feel relaxed, and special. Exactly what you hope for when celebrating something meaningful. He guided us through the wine selection perfectly. The bottle he recommended paired beautifully with our steaks and elevated the entire meal. Throughout the night, Chris checked in thoughtfully, made sure every detail was right, and truly treated our anniversary like it mattered. Even though we were one of the last tables in the restaurant, he maintained the same high standard of service you'd expect during peak hours. The food was outstanding, the wine was exceptional, but the service is what made the night unforgettable. Thank you, Chris, for helping us celebrate such an important milestone in such a memorable way. We'll absolutely be back.

Hello, we do not provide any halal options. We apologize for the inconvenience.

I'd been wanting to go back and take Dear Hubby to enjoy this very special re-imagining of the previous space, which had been an Irish pub incarnation. When our sister-in-law and two nieces were in town, the five of us were able to spend a quick evening together at Selvin's. We had been working on a project at our house, and by the time we got finished and ready to go out there wasn't a lot of time left as we went on a weeknight and they close at 9:00. I'm surprised that having a full bar, and being attached to a hotel property, that they would hang it up so early - even 9:30 or 10:00 would make more sense. It's such a charming place; seems a shame to have to call it a night so early. The ambiance is absolutely divine, especially out here in suburbia. It's very innovative in its layout. The lighting was carefully planned and is very effective in creating a special mood. And, what can be said about the wall of roses? It's tailor-made for snapping fun photos, that's for sure. The chef is sending out creative and Dee-Licious dishes from the kitchen. Yes, I know how to spell delicious, but it is worth adding the accented flair to stating the fact that this is a cut above many other dining establishments in the Conejo Valley. Dear Hubby and I shared Pappardelle Pasta and a Tuna Tartare appetizer. Both were excellent. One of our nieces ordered the taco platter. Wait till you see the photo. The only thing that was disappointing, menu-wise, was that bread wasn't included, so we ordered some as a side. Two little slices. I've forgotten the price, but I recall that it turned into sticker shock when we saw what was served. I'm tickled that they offer a nice array of zero proof cocktail options. They aren't inexpensive - apparently spirits without alcohol aren't any less (or maybe only slightly less?) than the full-spirited options. Still, it's nice to have the option. Our out of town family members LOVED Selvin's; it was a big hit with all of us. As an added bonus, there was a guitarist playing beautiful acoustic music when we arrived and were seated in the lounge area. Major extra credit!

It's the perfectly curated trio - Dirty Martini, followed by a well dressed crisp Cesar salad, and perfectly hot Truffle French fries. That's girl dinner in a nutshell (trust us on this combo). On their speciality menu it's called "Martinis and Munchies for Two" for $49. An amazing deal split between two friends. Dirty Martini: Some of the best ice cold martinis on this side of town. These cocktails were crafted to perfection and were always a sucker for the blue cheese stuffed olives. Tossed Cesar Salad: A Cesar salad during these hot summer months always hits the spot. Crisp, cold and fresh. The dressing was solid but I must highlight the lightly scattered capers on this salad - so smart and so tasty! Truffle French Fries: After a few martinis these French fries come in clutch. Crispy, hot and perfectly salted - who doesn't love a French fry and an aioli with a kick. Honorable Mention: PASTA. I was very impressed with my pasta dish here. Ordered the pappardelle bolognese and this pasta was a 10/10. Perfectly cooked ribbons of pasta with a hearty meat sauce and the Stracciatella topping sealed the deal for me on this pasta. We had a fabulous girls dinner from start to finish. The ambience at Selvin's is truly magical and we just love the decor and bar area. We had a cozy little booth to ourselves and the service was top-notch from start to finish. Extra kudos to Claudia for being a bubbly, lovely girls girl who was super attentive to us during our meal and made the night A+. Can't wait to come back soon.

I can't remember exactly which nights they serve dinner, but it's well worth planning a visit. My partner and I ordered several dishes to share, and every single one was a hit. We started with the burrata and prosciutto appetizer with pesto, which was incredible. Paired with a glass of wine, a cocktail, and the complimentary house-made salt and vinegar chips, it would make for a perfect happy hour on its own. For our entrees and sides, we ordered the half chicken, roasted carrots, and dinosaur kale salad. The chicken tasted like it had been slow-cooked all day--tender, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. The roasted carrots were outstanding, and even the kale salad felt special and thoughtfully composed. To finish the meal, we shared the sticky toffee pudding, which was one of the most memorable desserts I've had in a long time. We also tried two mocktails, both of which were creative, delicious, and fun. Sunrose continues to impress me whether I'm there for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Your eyes and nose are in for a treat the moment it hits the table in front of you. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu. My favorites were definitely the Short Rib Birria, Chocolatine, Gail Wines Cabernet, Cowdrey Bordeaux, and Daniele Barolo. My mouth still waters just thinking about them. I thoroughly enjoyed every sip, each bite and all the smiles at Cork Dork. I can't wait to come back and try your wine paired dinner.

I was wrong. Cork Dork IS a wine bar but the food is absolutely not an after thought. There's a great amount of care and passion behind the dishes (my guest and I got the tasting menu), as was evident in talking with Danny the head chef. A spectrum of vivid flavors. Friendly and attentive staff.

They accommodated our group of 12, although they did give us an estimate or 25 mins and it became an hour! There was plenty of staff taking care of us and food and drinks came out in a quick manner. The dirty sodas were good and very sweet. We had the Pepsi (strawberry) one and the Diet Coke one. Made a couple of us realize we are dirty soda fans. Drinks refills were appreciated. We sat separately, 4 or us were at the couch and it was dirty with leftover food scraps, drink markings on the table, and lots of dog fur. It was hard to eat our food in that area. For appetizers we had: - deviled eggs - came with 5 halves and were just meh - poke nachos - onion rings - massive for 5 ppl but pretty standard Entrees are slightly small but it matches the price. Peggy's crispy chicken sandwich was crispy but kinda tasteless. The truffle fries came with lots of cheese and were good. The Wagyu burger was good. Splitting the check on the machine was so smooth. You can do as many cards and separate by item, which was helpful for a large group.

We made reservations to dine inside and the food was great. Big portions so we all had leftovers to take home. The service was great and the property feels like you're so far into the mountains. We had great music provided by local musicians, who play for tips so if you want to support them, bring cash! I would come again but this time dine outside and so I can sit under the trees and watch the beautiful peacocks. They have tons of outside seating. We had sourdough bread, broccoli salad, wine, brown ale, half chicken with salad and loaded bake potatoe, fish special, and bone in steak with salad and bake potatoes. We finished it off with mixed berry cobbler and chocolate lava cake. Delicious!

However, we were surprised by the pricing for what is essentially a takeout operation: $28 for a steak sandwich, $24 for a chicken sandwich, $24 for a breakfast burrito, $17 for bread and butter, and $9 for a cookie--all with a required 18% gratuity. We hoped the quality of the food would justify the cost, but unfortunately, it did not. After waiting a long time for our order, we finally sat down to eat, only to be very disappointed. * The Fries: These were thick, over-seasoned, and over-fried potato wedges. * The Steak Sandwich: Consisting only of steak and onion, it was incredibly dry and unappealing. * The Burrito: Entirely bland and lacked flavor with eggs and over fried bacon bits and potatoes * The Coffee: Even the iced lattes at the coffee shack were bad - tasted very milky with very little espresso and warm. Our mocha latte was horrible as the chocolate powder was not mixed well, clumpy on the bottom of the cup The meal felt greasy and unhealthy, and despite being hungry, we couldn't even finish half of it. The food was absolutely disgusting. We threw everything in the trash bin. I wouldn't recommend this spot and certainly won't be returning. It felt very much like a one time money grab as no one in our family will be revisiting this place. Even Jack in the Box would be better.

We paired it with our favorite Chinese chicken salad $16.50--requested half baby gem and arugula with crunchies and dressing on the side. Orange chicken came out hot. They had a nice crunch, made with chicken breast, and not too sweet. Nice alternative to Panda Express if you're craving orange chicken! If you haven't tried the Chinese chicken salad, get it! You won't be disappointed! It's the best one I've had. Service is always great. Dom was great; manager Mike recognized us and stopped to chat with us. Ambience is modern and clean. You order at the kiosks, find a seat indoors (AC) or outdoors (heat lamps available), and they bring your food to your table. Water is provided. If you need anything, just ask anyone in a green apron or blue shirt. They will be happy to help!
