This is a hard one as my daughter recommended this place. She loves the owners and I did talk to them and they were extremely nice. My granddaughter order spaghetti.and meatballs, Caesar salad. She must not have been too hungry, only ate half of the salad and a third of dinner. My husband and I split a chicken Parmesan as we on't live in the area. We also order it with a Caesar salad. They were great and splits the dinner and salad. Loved the salad, but for me the spaghetti that came with the chicken was too spicy. The chicken was OK but I have had better. My granddaughter ordered the. Lave cake with ice cream, absolutely delicious. Sheena was our server was OK. The place is unadorned but reminded me of Cheers. I love places that are run by families and are local. So today I had the leftover spaghetti and it tasted so much better. So my real review is between a three and a four.

Love, love this place. The only place might compete is Lemmos Pizza! Incredible food, great service and the best pork chop anywhere. The drinks are second to none!! Highly recommend

This gem of a restaurant is a hidden gem. I was in the area with my grandson at a Pumpkin Patch as a Chaperone. Needed to charge my car and ran across this family owned restaurant. I walked in and you can tell it's a neighborhood favorite! I was greeted with a smile and the ambiance is warm and welcoming. Mike is the owner and was extremely nice and accommodating! I ordered some wings and fries and they were the best I've had since moving to LA from Dallas 2 years ago! Being from Chicago originally it's hard to find great wings! This place exceeded my expectations!! Highly recommended! I will definitely be back!!

I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who is looking for a hidden gem in Moorpark. It is a great place to enjoy a meal with your family or friends. You will not be disappointed by the food, the service, or the ambiance. The food is consistently delicious! My family have been there several times and we always leave happy and full.

But it is REALLY loud. There were maybe 9 people in there and you had yell at the person next to you because it's all concrete and metal. Not sure who thought this would work but it definitely does not. Also doesn't look like anyone had a plan of what they wanted the space to be. Live music? DJ? The acoustics are going to be awful. It's a massive space with a bunch of tables and nothing else. It's quite simply just odd. As for the food, it's not good. Anyone who says otherwise is lying. Pretty bland and nothing is fresh. It's also outrageously overpriced. Chicken fajitas were meh and they were $27.00. We got shrimp and they were rubbery and came in a plastic bag, which was in a bucket. Weird. Also, no silverware. Only plastic. Just a headscratcher all around. The website says they have happy hour but they didn't have a separate menu. Just two dollars off drinks is what w were told. Probably why it was empty at 5:30. Also weird. They have this huge space and don't seem to have any idea what to do with it. Drinks were the same as the food. Wildly overpriced and the bartender didn't seem to know what they were doing. So, fitting for the overall concept. I was excited about the new bar because we have an office down the street but this looks like a hard pass for me. 5 stars is for the staff because they were great.

The mall this place is in is a dump. There is a Mexican restaurant next door. I mention this because there is the crab/seafood menu and then there is an extensive Mexican food menu as well. I wonder if they just get the Mexican food from the restaurant next door? I don't know, nothing wrong in that. The tables have a paper "tablecloth" on them with plastic utensils. The reason for this is they don't use plates. They just bring you your seasoned seafood in a double plastic bag, and it is dumped out onto the paper "tablecloth". I saw this happening at the only other occupied table and immediately lost my appetite. My wife, undeterred, ordered some mussels. Ordinarily, we'll also order vegetables with any meal, but the side servings of vegetables are priced like filet mignon. I asked if I ordered the chips & guacamole, did it come with a serving of salsa? Alas, our server said no. What does a tiny amount of salsa cost a restaurant? 50 cents? So, I stuck with a glass of water. I was done. I couldn't bring myself to eat here. My wife ate a few of the mussels, digging them out from the plastic bags with her plastic fork. She said they were "ok" but we paid and departed, after a very poor experience. No pictures because I wasn't in the mood.

I think I went to heaven when I bit into the Cajun style orange roughy. I've never had roughy before, only known about it's crazy long life, living over 200 years, but the smoky spicy seasoning was so addicting, and then it wrapped my tongue in a hug with beautifully flakey and sweet fish. But I'm certain this place could take the grossest fish in the world and make it the greatest meal I've ever had. Paired it with a delicious green salad and french fries since it comes with 2 sides. I was so stuffed by the end, if you threw me into the ocean I would probably sink in contentment. Also got the Athenian shrimp pasta, I think I died in heaven and reached second heaven. The world's greatest linguini, perfectly al dente, with deliciously juicy shrimp, tomatoes, feta, and 2 slices of soft buttery bread to soak up the sauce? The sweetest service too. Salad came out first and by the time the salad was done around 10 minutes later, steaming hot food magically appeared. I cannot believe how dead it was when we walked in, this place should have a line all the way to LA at all times. I did stifle a small laugh at the fish tacos. Absolutely delicious of course, but I do love this rendition. 100% coming again

Then when I placed my order, I like to try things even if I take left overs so I asked for two appetizers and then a dinner plate and he said "two" then he goes and tell the other guy in Spanish how I wanted both appetizers. Now I didn't care that they were making a comment on that, I didn't want to take offense but it was as if I wasn't important enough for them to care that I'm sitting right there while they have a full blown conversation about what I ordered. Now the food sadly was not good. I was expecting some real flavors. The chicken looked delicious but it has no flavor. Absolutely nothing. The hummus was very graining and not at all tasty like others I have had. The tzatziki sauce had too much lemon that it over power the flavor. I've gone to many Mediterranean style restaurants and I know that the hummus and sauces can be made different but this one was not good. The food was the pita bread, that was actually very tasty. The rice and vegetables again no flavor. I'm not sure if maybe this was a bad day for the cook becuase based on the reviews I really thought I was going to get some tasty food. It was very disappointing and I will never return. They are in a plaza so there is lots of parking and the seating area is nice they also have outdoor seating

I've been to Italy multiple times and grew up around Italian baking, and this is hands down the best frittelle I've ever tasted. Light, golden, and filled with vanilla custard, then finished with a dusting of powdered sugar, it was truly unforgettable. This is a real Italian bakery, and once you step inside, the space completely opens up--high ceilings, a beautiful interior, and a hidden, speakeasy feel you'd never expect from the street. The young man with blonde hair who helped me was so kind, knowledgeable, and clearly proud of the bakery. It made the whole experience even better. The latte was perfectly done as well. Within ten seconds of walking in, I was greeted by Ama, who set the tone for the whole visit. She was warm, welcoming, and attentive throughout. She even let me sample different gelato flavors and suggested some great dishes to try on my next visit. That kind of thoughtfulness goes a long way. The affogato here is on another level. Most places serve it in a paper cup where the espresso and gelato just blend into a mushy mess. Not here. Carrara's presents it beautifully on a stone tray, with a proper espresso cup and a transparent glass so you can actually see the layers of gelato and espresso. And Ama personally poured the espresso tableside, which really topped off the whole experience. Great food, great service, great atmosphere. Will definitely be back.
