I got the ube matcha which is one of my favorites it actually taste like ube and the matcha taste good the strawberry shaved ice wasn't good it didnt taste like anything so I actually had to toss it out. The shop is very small I think there was 2 seats inside and two tables outside.

For February 2026, there is a new soft serve flavor with Lucky Milk and two new drink options! The Lucky Milk Matcha Latte adds a different kind of sweetness than a regular matcha latte and the Strawberry Lucky Milk Latte is a creamy rich strawberry milk. These are only available for a limited time at all Matcha Cafe Maiko locations! Each drink comes with a uniquely designed lucky milk cup sleeve

I had my eye on Matcha Cafe Maiko for a few months now and my focus was to get my hands on a banana pudding matcha latte. During my last trip to NYC a few weeks ago, I made the mistake of trying to go to the location near Rockefeller Center. It was a day or two after Thanksgiving, so the streets were so packed you could hardly walk so I had to abort mission. So this time, I made sure to go to this location! It's a tight space inside just enough to fit a handful of people at once. But you can easily order at the kiosk and things move fairly quickly if there are only a few folks ahead of you. I ordered my matcha with 50% sweetness in anticipation that the banana pudding would be too sweet, but honestly it was pretty balanced. And I didn't find the banana pudding too sweet at all. It ended up being a very creamy drink which makes total sense based on the dessert topping, but probably a little thicker in cream overall than what I normally would love. But the drink was tasty and more or less what you'd expect it to taste like. This is a super cute shop though with a fun menu full of creative items, so definitely looking to explore some other drinks or soft serve in the future.

Service: 4/5 Food: 3.2/5 Price: $7-10 Came for their 3rd Anniversary BOGO deal. First time at this location + trying their matcha, previously I've only ever had their soft serve. This location is smaller than I expected. It's literally an alcove + shares a door with a Kyuramen. They make the most with the space though, inside is a counter + one 2-top table. What I Ordered: - strawberry matcha latte (hot): 25% is perfect sweetness for me, just enough to taste the strawberry without being too sweet, leaves a weird film in my mouth - matcha tea (hot): needs a little sweetness, 0% ends up bitter

Came for the ube amazing amazing amazing. Got the matcha swirl - would recommend just the ube tho. There wasn't a ton of seating inside but some tables outside

Super yummy shaved ice! Matcha is a great flavor in this but also I think customers would enjoy more condensed milk inside the dessert! The toppings were great and the shop is super photo friendly and cute!

This place was packed when I got there. Many young people standing there and sitting down on tables outside of the place. It is a very tiny shop and you need to sit outside. There are 2 self serve kiosks to place your order and the staff is very busy behind the counter. I love the floor a lot! The floor has small green tiles and MATCHA is written on the middle of the floor! So cute! I saw that lavender was a new flavor that just came out and only for a limited time so I decided to go for the lavender soft serve in a cone and it was so good. Too bad the staff asked if I wanted it with another flavor and I decided to get it with matcha. After receiving it, I saw that there was too much matcha and not enough lavender. The lavender was sitting on the top and it tasted so good! I love it so much more than the matcha. The matcha however consumed and took over the cone. Cone was soft and fresh and easy to bite it. I also got an iced matcha latte and it was separating the whole I was carrying it in the bag. The milk and matcha couldn't mix it until I used a straw. Tasted really good and nice strong matcha aroma flavor!

This is a very tiny place where you can order sweet treats! Ordered the limited-time sakura soft-serve. It was kind of pricey (around 9 to 10 dollars) but the portion they gave me was big, so I guess that compensates for it. It took me a while to eat all of it because of that. The sakura flavoring was strong and prominent, which I quite liked. But I do feel that the soft serve had a bit more of the "ice" than the "cream", rather than a balance between the two. Sometimes as I was eating, it reminded me more of sherbet rather than ice cream. Regardless, I still really liked the Sakura soft-serve and establishment!

We stopped by to try their new seasonal Banana Pudding Matcha parfait cup, and it exceeded expectations. The cup is beautifully layered, with a creamy banana pudding base, ube, and their signature-grade matcha at the bottom. The banana pudding adds a nostalgic, comforting sweetness without overpowering the earthiness of the matcha. The ube contributes a subtle nuttiness and richness, rounding everything out for a well-composed and unique combination. Texture-wise, it's smooth and indulgent--definitely hits the spot. The service is quick on a Saturday afternoon. The space is small, not enough room to sit.

Came in for the matcha soft serve and wasn't disappointed! The texture was super creamy and smooth -- definitely high-quality matcha. Personally, I would've liked it just a bit sweeter, but my husband thought it was perfect as-is, so if you're into that bold, earthy matcha flavor, this is the spot for you. The shop itself is tiny -- more of a grab-and-go kind of vibe. It gets crowded fast and there's no real seating, so don't expect to hang out inside or outside as there's just 2 benches outside, no tables. That said, the service was quick, and the quality of the soft serve makes it worth the stop if you're in the area and if you are a latte fan, my friend said hers was fantastic! You order through tablets, so there is not much interaction with the staff.

My husband and I stopped by here for matcha ice cream after dinner. I love mattress is super excited to try this place. They have a lot of variety, between featured matcha tease soft skirt ice cream and Cones or cups and options to mix and lavender and ube. Highly recommend this please for any matcha cravings!

Everything I've tried from here has been delicious. Most recently I got the Ube/matcha soft serve which is a huge portion and so delicious. It wasn't overly sweet and the flavors blended well together. I also tried my friend's jasmine/muscat grape soft serve. The jasmine was delicious and would definitely get that alone next time although my friend loved both. Can't wait to come back to try more of their menu

Seems like they are also know for their cocktails but I wasn't able to partake since I wasn't feel too well from traveling~opted for plain tapped water! Maybe next time Appetizers included chachu rice bowl which was basically a roll and kinoko buns both very delicious. The bowl which is a roll had a pull tab to keep tithe rice fresh and keep items in place and it had a cute fortune! The mushroom buns were flavorful and light~ I ordered the miso ginger rento keep myself in check for the rest of the day filled with walking and snacks~ super flavorful for a non-meat option. I was offered some eggs, which was great for some extra protein~ the broth has some light kick spice but very manageable and added to the delicious warm taste~ Ve try good lunch meal and left satisfied and full~ ready to walk some more! This place is such a great spot with constant service, and great accommodations that make it comfortable like the baskets for bags and purses, cool air, and a bathroom that is clean.

Rating: 4.2 Came to…read moretry this Michelin bib gourmand tonkotsu ramen place in NYC. I saw them on social media and looked into and was planning on visiting when i was in NYC area. This one is located in NYC Manhattan 36th street. It's not very noticeable but has large door with its name on it. Inside is small space with bar counter, table and seats and kitchen at the end with dim lighting with pop music. We made a reservation but looks was it wasn't too busy since it had just opened at 11:45am. We were quickly sat down and looked through the menu with scan code. They offer variety of Japanese and fusion dish like tebasaki chicken wings, buns, rice ball, and few noodle dish like hiyashi chuuka cold noodle, ramen, tsukemen, and mazemen. We ordered few appetizers like chashu rice ball, mushroom buns, and i got spicy tan tan ramen and my partner got the miso ginger ramen. Chashu rice ball came with chashu, sauce, rice wrapped with nori. It's more like a sushi roll than a rice ball but it was ok. The pork was a bit dry and was messy to eat. Although it has omikuji/fortune slip inside that you pull out which is a unexpected fun addition to the dish. I ended up getting daikichi which means great luck. Mushroom buns were fluffy, flavorful and tasty despite vegetarian option. The spicy tan ramen was spicy, creamy and savory. The ramen came with half egg, few slices of chashu, menma, ground pork with spicy miso which you mix together. The broth is combination of rich, spicy and creamy and pretty strong sesame flavor. Noodles are thicker and chewer than what i'm used to. Chashu was nice and tender. menma was ok not very flavorful. Overall a solid ramen but not particularly special. I honestly prefer ichiran better. Service was good and staffs were attentive Overall a good experience but it didn't stand out enough for me to come back. Cool place and maybe nice for dates or if you want to drink as well. Price is definitely on the higher side for ramen. I've had ramen in Japan and my standard is high but i can find similar type of restaurant that is cheaper closer to home in US.

We were worried that the large might be too much for two people but honestly we were able to finish it without a problem. The melon pieces were sweet, the ice is milk based so it was creamy and flavorful on its own. We barely used the condensed milk that it came with (and we loved how they put it on the side for us instead). At the bottom of the shaved ice was cereal pieces and mochi which gave a nice different texture. We also tried their drinks specifically their blue lemonade and mango-ade which I thought was just ok. The highlight is definitely their shaved ice. Definitely go for the large as the small seemed much smaller and for double the price, you can get almost 2-3x more. Not only is the food awesome - I ordered a ramen, plain hot dog, and halo-halo shaved ice (addictively good) - but bonus stars to the staff who were sooo sweet! The Hawaiian style shaved ice and home-made ice cream are top notch. The ice cream is rich and delicious, with some unique flavors, and the shaved ice is very fine - fluffy and evenly slushy in texture and sweetness, unlike the inferior versions where you run into bland chips of ice. The toppings are yum too. The ramen noodles are springy, settled in a savory light broth. For a non-prestige grade ramen, I have no complaints. I also want to acknowledge the lovely hospitality. My child was in a tantrum-y mood and went to sulk by himself in a corner.
