Matcha Haus is cute but quite small. More suitable as a takeout place as seating is limited & squished. I do like the branding and aesthetics. We got a banana bread matcha (iced) and double pistachio matcha (hot). Definitely pricey for a single drink (~$9), but the matcha tasted better than most other places. They had a soft opening menu up on the wall, but I believe they've been open for a couple of months. Not sure if I would intentionally come back, but I'm glad we gave it a try.

Amazing cafe for matcha! The servers were patient and friendly, even when they were busy. They don't have a lot of seats so it's more of an order and pick-up your matcha type of cafe. We ordered the Iced Black Sesame and the Iced Double Pistachio. Both drinks were refreshing and you can really taste the earthiness of the matcha. They weren't overly sweetened either which we enjoyed. I do prefer the black sesame a tad bit more. The only thing is they put a lot of ice so it's kinda pricey considering this and the risk of watering your drink down.

Such a cute matcha place! The ambiance in this little shop is so adorable and definitely matcha themed with the different green colours throughout. I ordered a regular matcha latte. The colour came out great which is a sign of high quality matcha. It was also smooth and well made. Unfortunately the day I went, they didn't have regular milk so I had to go with soy milk, but it actually tasted really good in a matcha latte! Price wise, it is expensive. It ranges from $6 - $9.50 before taxes. However, they have a really fun selection including double pistachio matcha, banana bread matcha, pandan coconut, and more! There's so much to try.

Definitely one of the top matcha cafes in Toronto but slightly short a star. A huge plus is that milk alternatives are part of the drink prices. However, the drinks are packed with ice so there's not much content for the price. I got the earl grey matcha which tasted elegant and refreshingly crisp. They had a nice backdrop for photos.

Matcha Haus is located along Bathurst near Dundas. As the name suggests, they specialize in matcha based drinks where the matcha is sourced from Nagasaki, Japan. The cafe also makes their own vegan cold foam and syrups which are all made in house. I passed by Matcha Haus when they were under construction and had been anticipating their opening date (which is today, June 23)! I stopped by Matcha Haus on a Monday morning before 11am. The shop is currently in their soft opening phase. The shop was quiet but I am sure this place will be a huge hit once people hear about it. There is some seating available at the shop too if you'd like to have your beverage there. They have all things matcha on their soft opening menu including a bunch of special matcha drinks (think double pistachio, pandan coconut cloud, strawberry yuzu and banana bread) as well as their classic matcha options (latte or with water). They also have a variety of milk options available. All drinks are 16oz. There are some pastries available as well (croissants, etc.). Talking with the staff...they were just as excited to open to the public too. I opted for the pandan coconut cloud which is made out of coconut water, pandan syrup, and the Haus matcha cold foam. The drink wasn't too sweet and it was the perfect refreshing beverage needed on a hot day. The pandan syrup was tasty and the cold foam was delicious. I had to make sure to stir my drink before drinking or else I would get just a sip of the pandan syrup. Service was friendly and my drink was made at a reasonable time. The drinks are pretty pricey (my pandan coconut cloud was $8.50 + tax, most expensive drink is the double pistachio - $9.50 +tax) compared to other places but it's because they source high quality matcha as well as make their ingredients in house. I enjoyed my pandan matcha cloud as it was also topped with some coconut bits. Overall, a cute new place for all things matcha. I'm sure it will be a huge hit once word gets out that they are open. A bit pricey so definitely a splurge treat on a hot day.

This is a new cafe, specializing in matcha. All drinks are lactose-free and vegan. Any sugar used are organic and vegan, unrefined cane sugar; refined sugar is not vegan. Any syrups used are haus-made with real fruit and organic cane sugar; no artificial syrups here! There are also pastries, some vegan and some non-vegan. The cafe is comfortably sized. The colour scheme is matcha green, of course! There is a long bench with some small round tables. There are also counter seating with tall stools. There are electrical outlets for customers to use. 1. Banana Bread Matcha. Banana cold foam with banana syrup, and matcha. I could actually taste the banana flavour in the cold foam. There will be some kind of banana toppings in the future. 2. Strawberry Yuzu. Strawberry, Yuzu syrup, and matcha. There are freezed dried strawberries on top. I only saw this drink as another customer so I didn't get to try it. The Banana Bread Matcha drink was extremely refreshing and delicious. The drink must be thoroughly stired. Since this cafe is lactose-free, you get the milk substitutes without extra charge: oat milk, soy milk, almond milk, and pea milk. Soft-opening will be on 2025-06-25. There is free WiFi. The cafe is not wheelchair accessible (but they will take your order and bring it out to a wheelchair-bound person. There is one gender-neutral washroom, which is not wheelchair accessible. There is paid neighbourhood street parking. Review 2025-104

    Double pistachio matcha

I was in Toronto for the weekend and the vibrant green building caught my eye while I was in a streetcar! I really liked the aesthetic, and decided to give it a try since it was bustling and we had time. We came during their first official weekend opening, and they moved the line at a good pace. They had a busy morning, and by the time we ordered, they had run out of whole milk (': We ended up getting the double pistachio matcha drink with oat milk. After my bf and I tried the drink... it was quite watered down for matcha. ahhhhhh noooo ): and the pistachio flavor was also sadly lacking. Was hoping for stronger matcha or pistachio flavor. My bf and I would probably give the drink itself 2 stars. I upped the rating more so because of the lovely customer service. Our cashier interaction was really sweet, and he was just such a happy individual. Thank you for making our experience! The drink was quite pretty!

For all my matcha girlies, this is the newest matcha spot in town. Small menu right now for their soft opening, not sure if they'll expand that. But all their cold foams are made in house, they have all the milk options, and the cutest matcha vibes.

    Carrot cake matcha

I had really high expectations for this place, and sadly, I left mostly disappointed. Matcha Haus has lots of creative drinks and I was excited to try something new, so I got the carrot cake one. It tasted kind of watery and the carrot cake flavor wasn't as pronounced as I would've liked. What made up for the average-tasting matcha was the ambiance! The place is lovely and well-decorated with a classy vibe. It feels like the owners put a lot of thought into the decoration, which is always nice to see. Also, the servers were really nice and they played fun throwback Justin Bieber songs the whole time, which brought such a nice energy to the place. I think I need to go back to try their more classic flavors to form a stronger opinion on the place.

    Iced carrot cake matcha latte

Ordered the carrot cake matcha latte, loved the flavour of the carrot cake but felt it overpowered the matcha and quite pricey

After hearing/seeing videos about this place all over socials, I was very intrigued, and Matcha Haus definitely did not disappoint. The matcha used in their creations is definitely of high quality and very smooth to drink. I love the variety of flavour options they offer. I got the banana bread matcha and my friend got the double pistachio matcha Latte. Both were amazing. I was worried about how sweet the banana syrup would be (as I find usually banana flavour can be quite sweet), but it was the perfect balance of everything. I was also surprised that I could actually taste the pistachio flavour in the Latte! My two concerns about the Lattes here are: 1- the amount of ice in my drink. I feel like most of the cup was ice, and even when I finished the entire thing, there was ice at the 3/4 level. 2- the cost. I understand that it's a premium product and they make the syrups in house, but it is a bit jarring to pay $10-11 per drink. On the plus side, you do not have to pay for specialty milks here (it was included in the price, and there are a lot to pick from!) Despite the draw backs, I am still giving a 5 star because it was an amazing drink. The space is very clean and minimal, and has seating for about 10-12 people. I would imagine it can get quite busy during the day.

For all the matcha lovers this spot doesn't disappoint! I tried the pandan coconut cloud and I'm literally in heaven. Pandan, coconut and matcha is such a great pairing and super refreshing on a hot summer day. The down sides are that it closes so early at 5pm and I felt I finished it way too quickly in a couple of sips and want more! The storefront is also super cute in green and the staff were really nice and helped me choose my drink. I want to get them all.

I truly enjoyed the double pistachio Matcha latte! It's a part of their soft opening menu, but I hope that they keep it once they have their regular operating menu. My sister also tried their strawberry Matcha latte and loved it! If I were a local in Toronto, I would be there more often because the service was great, the aesthetics were beautiful, and the Matcha was top-tier.

Came to this sweet matcha haus today. Beautiful cafe, excellent service and absolutely deeeelicious Matcha (cold) Latte.
