This place was aesthetically pleasing but the matcha wasn't strong at all and you couldn't get a plain matcha latte (offered in coconut or vanilla). The ordering system was also strange, if you ordered on the kiosk you get a number on the ticket but then you also have to grab a number from the counter (and they're different numbers). Prices were reasonable and they did offer other items on the menu besides matcha. Don't think I'll come back when Houston offers better and stronger options.

Love this place. The lavender matcha is My fave! I refuse to order anything else. I did try strawberry once but was not a fan. The staff here always have a smiling face and are always welcoming. It's very cute inside with some seating if You're dining in. The esthetics gives pose and post. Some say this place is over rated but I appreciate the authenticity here. I know the matcha is authentic so for that I faithfully pay My $10 when in the mood which is sometimes multiple times a week. Sometimes I order on Local by Toast and I believe there is a few of about $4 including tax added to cost of order. This location is in the energy corridor on Eldridge

Came here about a month ago because I saw the pics and thought the cafe is super cute, which it is! However, I agree with other reviews about the matcha taste. Also, I got an earl grey matcha and was told foam came with my drink but then the total came out to like $11 with tax? Seems pretty over priced compared to other cafes unless there was a miscommunication..

This is a really cute spot to grab matcha! They also sell frozen yogurt. I have tried the Strawberry n Dream matcha with almond milk and it was delicious! I do think the price point is steep for a matcha, but it was good. The service is pretty standard. I've been 3 times, and I have never received service that was more than ok. Overall I would recommend it for the matcha. They also just opened a second location!

Cute girly aesthetic, mid matcha. The only pro is that the matcha cups are on the larger side. However, the matcha taste is pretty weak, so it just means more milk you're consuming. We also got the Matcha Mia waffle, which is a bit misleading because I thought the waffles itself would be matcha. Turns out they're just regular waffles, with matcha sauce on the side. The matcha flavor was not strong here either.

Such a cute place!!!! Great for a quick girls meet up. They have froyo hadn't tried that flavors but basic flavors you sweat most places Obviously the matcha is the star of the show. super cute inside, and very girly and pink! Service was decent, the menu has a boat load! there's something for everyone, even if you don't want matcha. I can definitely respect that this is small, women owned business. I can see how it can be popular, but this place was not for me. it is next to a smoke shop, which is out of their control, plenty of parking. if you are getting into matcha, and want to try it, then yes! go! and try out different flavor combo's! they mix everything behind the counter, and there are plenty of seats. even if you're around and just want a sweet treat! stop by, and I think they have froyo too! I think this would be a dream for a teenage version of me!

This place has been on my bucket list for matcha for a while now so decided to give it a try. First off the place is well decorated with everything being pink and girly which I find super cute. It can be a little overstimulating since it can get loud if there's lots of people and music playing in the background. The service was okay, staff were straight to the point and asked if I had any questions. I ordered the Petal Kiss Matcha and a Taro Milk Matcha. The Petal Kiss Matcha was super good as it had a mixture of rose, vanilla, and matcha. The Taro Milk Matcha was nice and creamy, had a strong taste of taro which I like. A little heads up on the place is that they don't take cash and only card so keep that in mind. Overall, great place for matcha if your a beginner and just starting your matcha journey and like your matcha on the sweeter side.

The setting of the store is very cute. Lots of photo ops and plenty of space to sit while you're drinking. Staff was also nice and were able to get my drinks out to my friends and I relatively quickly! What lacks a bit is the flavor of the drinks. When compared to other highly rated matcha spots in Houston, I don't think this stands up well. The matcha flavor was not strong, the strawberry was pretty much all I could taste. I think you're better off trying out other places, unfortunately.

Very cute place. Plenty of parking. We went after a race and it got busy fast. I see many people order food. My friend and I just ordered drinks and bought the matcha cookie. Drinks were gorgeous. Matcha is a strong flavor so I recommend getting a matcha strawberry or something mixed with matcha. Cookie was soft and had intense matcha flavor. I would return again.

Such a cute girly pop establishment! I love the all pink lol I came in and wanted to order the matcha colada because I saw it on the menu but I was told they don't make it anymore so that was a bummer. I ended up ordering the bluerilla and it was okay overall! I think for the size you get it's a pretty good price. I also noticed they have froyo as well and a matcha flavor that I'd comeback and try!

This place is so cute! Everything is decked out in pink and green. The menu offers a wide variety of options, including matcha, coffee, waffles, sandwiches, frozen yogurt, and more! I just came for a drink, but I would be interested to try the food, as well. I ordered the Guava Matcha, and I'm so glad I did! It was delicious. The guava flavor was pronounced, yet not too sweet or overwhelming. The matcha actually tasted like matcha, not the watered down version that many other places tend to do. The combination of guava and matcha was not something I had seen before, but it worked so well! I would definitely come back again, and I would recommend this place to others!

If I could leave zero stars, I would. This place is terrible! Came on a Monday afternoon and the shop was about 80% full. Placed our order and asked the cashier if she put in a particular drink and she said yes. We paid and then she read off the printed receipt and the drink we asked about was not on there so we had to place a separate order. Not a good start. We had to settle for a table that someone just left and cleaned it ourselves. I went to ask for napkins since both dispensers were empty and the person behind the counter handed me two napkins from a package behind the counter and didn't bother refilling the dispensers. The waffle is $13.50, which was overly chewy and tasteless. The matcha drinks had a nice green color but there was no matcha taste. The smoothie was bland and underwhelming. We spent $60 on four drinks and a waffle, and left completely dissatisfied. Safe to say we are never coming back. read more

Amazing matcha and sandwiches, my go to is the guava matcha and the tuna melt croissant! Staff is super friendly and the place is clean! Also I noticed baristas are very knowledgeable and will answer any questions asked! They matcha is from Shizuoka, Japan and that's what I love about their matcha, it has nutty and floral notes and they have sweet and unsweetened options which is great! I will keep coming back and recommend this place to all my friends! read more

This cafe is so pink, it's been very cold lately so we didn't try the frozen yogurt. We did get the hot matcha drink and it was just okay. The service is fine. Either I'm getting old or the menu was hard to read for my eyes. read more

First off the place is waaaaaay too pink. I like pink but as a dude the place has a Barbie glam vibe to it , which is fine... I'm not the niche customer they are catering to I guess. But then I get to the counter and the cashier has her makeup all out on the table, maybe she spilled her makeup bag on the floor... but it appeared like she was putting on makeup...which imo is very unsanitary but I'll look past it... not like she's making my drink. Now the drink, the drink (Matcha Latte) was good, problem is it was 8 bucks ! Not to mention they were kinda heavy with ice. Normally when I get matcha I don't have to ask for less ice because the places I've been just give a fair amount of ice. So in recap: - Very niche atmosphere which can be a plus or con depending on who you are - weirdest cashier experience I've ever had, putting on makeup at the register ( if you're cool with that ok) - matcha is good though on the expensive side, you can get the same quality for way less. read more

I wish I can give 5 stars but their tapioca is ridiculously hard. I recommend they learn (maybe from boba places?) how to properly prepare and store tapioca so they can be soft and chewy. Between the Taro and Rose flavor, I preferred the taro! read more

This place is very pretty but small. They have a self serve froyo station and plenty of unique drinks! I ended up trying the guava matcha and it was a little too sweet but good. You can really taste the guava, not so much the matcha. But the drink itself was Instagram worthy as is the store itself- it's very cute and beautiful! As for the service, when I went, the lady was FaceTiming someone. She would stop when I stepped up but it didn't seem very professional as she didn't take initiative to ask me if I needed any help. And For the price point, I'm not sure I would come back again but they do have a rewards system which is nice after you spend $50. read more

Disappointed... I was excited to try this place out because the drinks looked delicious. When I arrived a boy making a drink gave me a quick look but no greeting. I shrugged it off. There was only one customer waiting for her drink. I stood and looked up at the menu. While I waited an older man walked out from the back room and spoke to the boy, he didn't greet me or ask if I had any questions. After the boy finished the drink, the man and the boy sat on chairs by the register... I waited... waited... they both sat there as I looked over the menu. Neither of them ask me if I had any questions. I decided to start counting to 100 to see how long it would take for them to decide to speak to me... I eventually walked out without ordering. I didn't want to purchase from a place that seemed unmotivated to take my money. Words of advice for the staff, customer service matters. read more

I've been on the hunt to find a matcha place that serves matcha justice! Some places are just too stingy with matcha but Matcha Mia did not disappoint! I ordered the: - Dirty Matcha: not too sweet, espresso is overpowering though- can't taste any matcha - Strawberry Matcha: on the sweeter side but a solid option! great balance of flavors - Bluetiful: very sweet! a little too sweet for my taste but the lavender is overpowering - Taro Matcha: this was MINDBLOWING! I am not one to gravitate towards taro but the flavors were amazing together: the taro was nicely balanced with the matcha and made it so creamy (MUST TRY) I would say the drinks are pretty expensive but you do get a nice portion- coming from someone who's lived in Austin. The store was so bright, adorable girly and PINK service was friendly, I enjoyed it so much I went two days in a row before driving back to Austin :P read more

I moved into the area recently and while driving around I saw this bright pink matcha spot in the middle of a strip mall and I decided to go check it out. The menu is decently sized with plenty of drink options as well as frozen yogurt and some snacks/sandwiches. The customer service was honestly pretty poor, as someone who works in food service it always baffles me when people aren't nice to their guests. After my interactions, I was let down and ready for this place to just be another overpriced instagram hotspot. Luckily, my drink and my sandwich were pretty good. Maybe not worth the $7 and $14 respectively, but it wasn't a waste of money. Ultimately, it is a very cute and eye catching, instagram/ tiktok worthy spot, but upon further inspection the furniture is a bit dirty, the people aren't very hospitable, and the food does not fully live up to the price tag. It is a cute experience, but it does not seem like the type of place I would end up frequenting. Pros: cute decor, expansive and creative menu, food and drink choices that pair well together Cons: customer service, price point, quality, It is OK, but curb your expectations just a bit! read more

This places used to be called Yogurt Yo but I guess they got a new owner and now it's called Matcha Mia. It's very cute over all, it's all pink! I love pink. They still got frozen yogurt so thumbs up for that! They've added smoothies, coffee, refreshing drinks, chia yogurts and so much more. I'll be back! read more

Came here due to the cute aesthetics but this place was terrible. Ordered the Belgian waffle and it was definitely not Belgian waffles. The table next to me and everyone else around did not even finish their waffles (see pic). The waffle was not crispy or cooked all the way through. The batter was too thick and made the waffle soggy. Overall it did not taste good. The drinks were way too sweet and did not have enough matcha. The matcha also did not taste "high grade". The rose matcha was too floral and taste like perfume. The seating was limited and the store was really hot due to the big glass window - it could use some tinting or blinds for the customers. Overall experience was not enjoyable and I regretted coming here. Only thing ok was the coffee. read more

Love Enola! She's so friendly, funny, and made my visit to Matcha Mia such a great experience. From the moment I walked in, she welcomed me with the biggest smile and great energy. She recommended the iced matcha with oat milk, and it was perfection--smooth, not too sweet, and super refreshing. The vibe at Matcha Mia is cozy and aesthetic, and Enola just adds to that charm. I been wanting to try this spot for a while so I went in with a few of my friends a few days ago. Just a couple of hours before closing. The view looked so cute from the outside but upon my arrival the main trash in the entrance was overfilled and tables were dirty. Don't get me wrong I understand when one is busy it must be be hard to keep up but when there is only a couple of people inside and not busy and the front person just standing by the register is hard to comprehend why just not give it a quick clean . I then proceeded to order me a Pink moon smoothie bowl and a classic Matcha Mia. That day I was carrying cash only as I forgot my cards at home but fortunately my friend paid for my order. I wish they had a bigger and brighter sign outside saying no cash that was super inconvenient for me and for those who carry cash only. I really wanted this to be my to go place but after trying what I ordered I was highly disappointed with the flavors being so bland. read more

Clean inside, cute backdrops for instagrammers, and a fun stop for me and my daughter after visiting the nearby orthodontist. You can't call your restaurant Matcha Mia without having good matcha and they didn't disappoint. If we lived closer I'd be here more often. read more

Cute spot! The matcha horchata was pretty good! The waffle was just a waffle. But the tables were dirty from the night before and it took 45 mins to get our drinks and food which all came out at different times. They started with 2 staff members wearing soccer jerseys which is fine but I thought it would be all pink for aesthetic. I think they are still working out the kinks. For all matcha lovers!! I saw this place on TikTok and I am so glad I came. They use ceremonial grade matcha here which is the real deal and really does make a different in the taste. I came around lunch time and got the caprese sandwich as well. Both were so delicious and the staff here is so helpful! My meal was about $20 so it's not the cheapest matcha in Houston, but for supporting a local business that has amazing food, ambiance, and service, it's a no brainer for me. read more

I discovered this cute little matcha shop about a month ago and I've been hooked since! I live right around the corner, so I've found this a nice environment to come work during the day. Typically, the crew is nice, bubbly, and has amazing customer service. Today was a complete 180 and unfortunately, I won't be back after a disgusting experience I had with the "manager". I noticed a new crew, but didn't think much of it because I haven't been in a few days. I arrived, like I usually do, with my laptop ready to work. It was unusually empty, so I thought I'd have a great work session. Instead, I was approached 40 minutes into sitting (with nothing but my water) and told "I have to order something." Mind you, there were other guests--who had clearly been there longer than me--left completely alone. But I was singled out. When I explained that I'm a regular and always order eventually, I was still met with attitude and a bizarre explanation about management "checking" on who has paid. Moments later, "reserved" signs started appearing on all the tables. The message was loud and clear: I wasn't welcome. Out of courtesy, I still went to order a drink and address the situation calmly. Only to find out the same person who confronted me is claiming to be the manager. When I voiced my disappointment about being rushed and treated unfairly, he cut me off--multiple times. Told me it's a business and they "need to keep people moving," while ignoring the fact that the café was still mostly empty. Apparently, the rule about "no outside drinks" applies selectively too, since a customer behind me walked in with a Starbucks cup and wasn't stopped. If your policies are only enforced when certain people walk in, that's not policy--it's bias. As a fellow business owner, I understand the importance of making money--but even more important is the value of loyal, returning customers. Today, Matcha Mia lost one. read more

After today I will not be scheduling anymore meetings here as I had a meeting with a potential client here at 2 pm. I chose the banana matcha, and although it might sound odd, it was actually quite tasty. My friend picked the Horchata strawberry matcha, and she enjoyed it too. I passed through the area and was looking for a place to have a Matcha drink. Let's cover up the name of this place; I can say that it was a good decision to stop by and try the Matcha.
