I love a good matcha! [[HIGHLIGHT]]This place has incredible ambiance, minimalist yet personal and cozy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The matcha quality is great with a perfectly sized menu. I got the dirty matcha which contains hojicha. It was a bit bitter (i got low sweetness) but that is what I prefer! My friend got the gingerbread chai and thought it was perfectly spiced. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Check this place out if you want a great place to hang out, it is highly regarded for a reason.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Pricey but love the vibe inside[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] and my strawberry matcha was great! I got almond milk and 25% sweet which was perfect.

Amazing matcha! You can taste the earthiness and it's not bitter at all. Apple pie matcha: sweet yet you can actually taste the puree and apple itself. Boba was soft and rich from soaking in the brown sugar. Brown sugar Vanilla matcha: super delicious, my type of sweet drink. Perfectly balanced drink. Service was super friendly and quick. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Very cute space with enough seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Love the ambiance and atmosphere, can't get over the interior design of everything.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I can't wait to try more drinks the next time I come back to beacon. 10/10 highly recommended Approximately 5 min wait time

Favorite matcha spot in beacon! Love the intentional design and mindful space the owners created. They are a lovely sister duo and you can really feel the passion they pour into their business. I really appreciate the fresh housemade ingredients they use and the options for different sweeteners and sweetness levels, and different plant milk options. Oat and almond are very popular nowadays but weirdly not many places have soy, so I really appreciate having that as an option! The sweetness level of the drinks are also really nice. Especially since it is agave. 50-75% sweet works for me (I usually get 0-25% but their drinks aren't too sweet like other places, so I would try regular first and then bring it down from there!). They also have a super cute cart to take their boba to, like farmers market and other events. They're a really nice small business that partners with other small businesses. I love taking friends and family here. They truly are a great addition to the Beacon community.

This was a must-do spot that my friend recommended to me when I took a day trip to Beacon recently, and now I can see why!! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The vibe is right up my alley, and all you could ever want in a cute cozy cafe! Its so warm and inviting, and they even have a really cool back room behind a curtain where you can chill on the couches, meditate, journal, or do whatever else you want to relax![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The matcha was SO good and one of the bet I had! They have such a great assortment of flavors and options too!

TLDR; loved their matcha and hojicha drinks so much that I ended up ordering some of their matcha and hojicha powder online when I got home! During our visit to Beacon, we decided to stop by Matcha Thomas to get our caffeine fix in. It was a hot day so there was a line to order but the line moved fairly quickly. We ordered the matcha latte + boba and the hojicha latte (both with oat milk) and both drinks exceeded our expectations. The matcha latte was a vibrant green, with a creamy texture and it had just the right amount of earthiness and sweetness. The hojicha was a toasty brown color and the roasted nutty aroma was everything I wanted and more. Highly recommend checking out Matcha Thomas if you're seeking a refreshing sip.

It truly was such an exceptional experience. I learned that I like Boba for the first time it was also very interesting to try the different types of green tea. Unfortunately, I do not live close, but if I am ever in Beacon again, I will definitely be back. I may even go out of my way to get to Beacon for Matcha Thomas.

I came back, i got the fall pumpkin spice drink. SUPER tasty. Definitely one of my fav drinks! Will definitely be back to.

I'm a watermelon bubble tea fiend, so when I heard they had their fresh watermelon juice for the summer, I was psyched. The watermelon juice they use is very concentrated so they dilute it with milk and agave or matcha which gives it a less refreshing, more creamy (like cereal milk) taste than most places. Hats off to the owner who was so generous with me when I asked if she could remake it with regular decaf tea so it was more refreshing. She did and it was great! I even diluted it some more with seltzer later and it was so delicious. Thank you for making the swap - I really appreciated it and will come back when I'm in town and try the signature matcha.

Elderflower matcha, seasonal pumpkin spice hojicha

This is a bright and airy cafe on the main street of Beacon that does some terrific matcha and hojicha lattes. On the menu they have seasonal items in addition to classics. The pumpkin spice hojicha preserved the earthy, roasted flavor of the hojicha and was my favorite over the elderflower matcha, which gave more floral/spring vibes. Something to note is they only offer non-dairy milks, which is great for folks like me that always pay extra at other cafes to sub out the whole milk. Everyone working the counter was friendly and the cafe itself is well thought out. Minimalist modern decor, plants everywhere, a small meditation/chill room, and various phone chargers. Highly recommend!

It's counter service and there was already a bit of a line when we arrived around 7:15am (why were so many people already up and about?! lol). We loved that they had a great variety of options, including many vegetarian options. I went with the egg & cheese sandwich and accidentally ordered it without the greens & sauce (whoops!). However, it was still delicious and satisfying. My husband got the avocado toast which was SUPER filling due to the hummus that was on it. He was only able to finish half of it. We also got a side order of fruit which, to my delight, was a bowl of berries! The fruit is seasonal so the combination might be different depending on what time of year you are visiting. Also, both of our coffees met our standards, which are a bit high these days. So kudos to them on that! The ambiance was absolutely incredible!!! Very well lit with a bright, welcoming atmosphere. We sat near the back of the restaurant (away from all windows), however we still felt like we were being flooded with sunlight. It was wonderful! Definitely recommend coming here to grab breakfast while visiting Beacon!

What it does lack, however, is a standalone boba shop. While Asahi is, first and foremost, a poke restaurant, it does offer a selection of boba teas and slushies. The weather had just turned from dreary cold to summery hot, so I was craving my favorite Asian drink. After some hand-wringing (I couldn't decide which one to get), I finally settled on an iced strawberry tea with milk foam. I wasn't confident in my order, but all my anxieties allayed at first sip. It was delicious! The boba was soft, the strawberry flavors came through strongly without tasting artificial, and the milk foam added a complex layer of creaminess and saltiness that elevated the drink altogether. Even my husband, who's not much of a boba drinker, thought it was great (and kept stealing sips). If you're in Beacon and you're suddenly hit with a hankering for boba, try Asahi.
