I called, left a message and someone returned my call to schedule a cleaning. They arrived on time and were very friendly. I was surprised it took under a half hour and that no one went up on a ladder to inspect the chimney for any issues. For 30 years, someone always went up on a ladder to at least do a visual inspection. I'm not convinced the proper service was completed. I was also surprised they didn't clean the glass on the wood stove door, something that always gets done. When it came time to pay, the price was $300 plus tax and not the $250 as advertised on the web site. Like I said, nice people but I'll be using someone else next time.

We needed the work done before the winter. The chimney needed to be rebuilt with flashing, a cap, birdcage, etc from the roof up and we also needed flashing put in. George came over and gave us a quote for half of the work we needed done, saying the rest wasn't necessary and they could do it that same week. I wasn't totally sure bc I am a new homeowner, but he claimed he'd been "doing this for 30 years and knew what he was doing" so who was I to say otherwise. The day came and they did all the work like they said. From looking at it from the ground, it looked nice. We were happy... until we tried to turn on the heat. Thinking our chimney was all good based on what George said, we were shocked when we hired an HVAC guy only for him to tell us our furnace was fine, but our chimney was full of debris and unsafe to use. He pulled out the pipe for us, so I went ahead and cleaned it out myself. The debris was over 8ft high and had broken bricks, not just soot and dust. I called and texted George to come finish the job, but he never responded. Thankfully, our heat worked after I cleaned it out, but we were nervous about the state of the chimney. Finally, the original chimney guys (from the other company) were able to come over and put in a liner, new pipes, etc. They said the job that Bill Miles Masonry did was messy. Even my former landlord said they have a bad reputation when I talked to him about it. The chimney specialists who finished the work said that we likely had carbon monoxide leaking through the chimney into the house based on how bad it was. I wish we had gone with them for the entire project because we ended up losing approximately $1200 by having Bill Miles Masonry come to not do the full amount of work we needed. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. 2 stars because they did fix the top of the chimney, at the very least.

May 22nd 2026 we had a home inspector come and do a detailed inspection for an unrelated circumstance and at that time we weren't aware of any issues. Once we received the official report and photos from the home inspection, it seemed familiar to me. So I pulled the chimney inspection and looked at them side by side. It was alarmingly clear that the home inspectors STRONG suggestion to obtain necessary repairs from a licensed contractor for EXACTLY what this company claimed to have already repaired months prior. Ultimately, no repairs were ever done and both inspection photos looked exactly the same which would indicate that this company allowed our chimney to remain out of code, an active safety and fire hazard and we used this trusting that it was now in working order. I provided them with the documentation and request that they refund the work they never did. It's been over 2 weeks now and I still have yet to be acknowledged which I presumed is what they'd do since the alternative would be to take accountability and at the very least apologize for the unsafe conditions they put my family as risk for and rightfully return our $5800.76 back to us. After collecting $250 for the service call, we were told he had other calls to go on and could not stay for a half hour 45 minutes to see if the fire place would stay lit after he secured the glass to some latches, saying maybe it was because of a air leak. When we called to let him know the fireplace still was not staying lit. He said it was probably the valve. Never bothered coming back to investigate further. Just said they no longer make Lenox Valves. The problem was the fireplace sensors connections just needed a good cleaning. Definitely a money grab business looking to sell a new fireplace for the tune of $6,000.

A year or so ago we learned it was because the unit they sold us was WAY too large for the space, so the fires we were burning were not hot enough to keep the glass relatively free of soot. We called and told them, suggesting they might swap ours out for a similarly valued used one the correct size, but they didn't respond. A few months later our follow up email received the same silence. We ended up buying fire bricks to fill enough space in it to allow us to burn smaller, hotter fires without overheating the room. It helped, but we still have to do more glass cleaning than we should and ended up spending more money on the larger unit than we needed to. In addition their communication is slow, their phone is never answered and they don't call you back to discuss details or answer questions or explain anything. Edit after their response: While they say they came to the property, they never did. They gave us a quote from satellite photos and never even saw the rain damages which was the reason I reached out in the first place. When they said they couldn't reach the tenant, I immediately provided them with the photos and videos I had. The tenant also called them to follow up and was informed that nothing else was needed. Yet I had to email again days later to ask if the quote was ready. I emailed asking for someone to discuss / explain the quote to me and got a response asking for a time to call. I shared my availability and have not received any calls. I tried calling them yet there was no answer. Finally 2 weeks later we had to call another contractor come and take photos of all the rain damage and provide a proper quote. Then when I shared this review the owner immediately called me. I've attached the communication that started on the 8th of July. I would like them to provide me with the images and proof/report from the onside inspection they did. They are lying, as they never stepped foot on my property to see and assess the damages.
