I have wanting to check this place out, but then COVID hit. We finally got a chance with our big group the other weekend. The ticketing process is easy and is online only. There is no box office. On the day of the show, you can come early to claim your table and come back later for the show. You are also allowed to "dress up" your table with a tablecloth, etc. and many people do. When were arrived for the actual show in the evening, parking was free and easy in their gravel lot. Tickets are casually checked at the entrance and you are also allowed to bring any food and drink you want. There is not a bad table in the outdoor "house." The sun sets right behind the stage and made for a perfect pink sky. The scene could not be any better. There was an intermission in the show and it ended right on time. I'll be back!! read more

Artist are allowed to use the stage and your ticket purchase price to express personal political rhetoric about their beliefs. Inappropriate when you pay to hear music. It was more like actors at the Oscar's. Not what I paid for. read more

I organized this for months with a group of friends, this was our first time there and it was a major disappointment to say the least. The venue is suppose To be family friendly and a relaxed atmosphere, it's in basically a dirt lot next to a parking lot. We paid $35 per person including children to go. I get it, they have to account for capacity ( in a dirt lot??) the band is ok don't think I would pay $35 again to see them again though. The audience treated this as a fancy symphony however ! The kids were playing way behind the audience in the grass area and were told to shush several times they were not being obnoxiously loud either. The adults were even afraid to talk . The 'MC' really set the stage and said at the beginning if you NEED to talk do it quietly, better yet DON'T. Recommendation: DON'T go there if you want a fun, casual atmosphere and if you want a classy upscale Atmosphere go to an actual symphony. Such a disappointment because the venue could be super cool with great musical acts. read more

This was my first time visiting Matilda's Under the Pines in Milton and I LOVED it! The outdoor venue was perfect for enjoying fresh air, live music, and a magical vibe. You could bring your own table decor and be as fancy or as informal as you wanted. Plenty of parking and seating available and I hear you can bring your own chairs and coolers. The music was top notch and it was a great experience all the way around. I hope to go back soon!! read more

I can't decide if I should tell all of my friends or keep this little gem to myself. Picture the set of "Sweet Home Alabama." Can you see the main characters dancing in front of this set up? We felt like we were far away from home just enjoying a fun night in the deep south. Love it! Bring your own beverages and if you get there early you can get a table! If you get some hunger pains from smelling the yummy BBQ then wander on back and grab yourself a plate. A fun way to spend a warm weekend night! read more

Matilda's is a fun little spot in Alpharetta. It has a great atmosphere; there's live music, and they have different bands perform on different weekends. You can get up and dance under the tent or you can sit back and enjoy a beverage (all BYOB) or snack in a lawn chair. There were groups of friends there for a night out, and families with kids running around, even dogs! The music was good, and it's a great backyard venue. You're covered under the trees. Next time I go, I'd bring bug spray. It gets a little buggy out late. Parking is a limited, but people spillover into the street and nearby medical offices. The only reason I didn't give this place a 5 is because of the smoke. If you don't get there early enough to get a seat under the tent and end up sitting in the back, you'll probably have smokers around you. Other than that, it was a great night out. Always a fun time at Matildas. They bring in some great entertainment to listen and dance too.

Matilda's is a great OTP music venue. The cottage part is an old house with various artists selling items like reclaimed pallet furniture and rock star clothes. The stage out back is the porch of another old house/shack. There are some tables and chairs but it's not a bad idea to come prepared with your own camp chairs and table. Parking is minimal on their property but you can park in the church parking lot next door. Bring your own food and drink (including alcohol). Bug spray and a candle for your table are also essential. It really doesn't matter the band, you'll have a great time here. read more

We loved our Saturday night at Matilda's! Our group brought chairs and a cooler with dinner and drinks to help make a special 'getaway' under the stars. The rain held off and it was nice out. At intermission we walked through the gallery to shop and they've put together a thoughtful collection of art and clothes that is really cool, funky, and beautiful. The band played songs from The Band, Chuck Berry, The Allman Brothers. It was a great night! read more

I went to see The Breeze Kings and celebrate Tommy Brown's birthday last night at Matilda's and is was excellent. The place was packed and I was running a little late and had to park a little further away than usual. This place is so nice, like being in someone's back yard. The people there are wonderful and care about the patrons, they even checked on the restroom to make sure it was well stocked. And they helped people leaving get back to their car safely. This is definitely one of the nicest outdoor concert experiences you can have. BTW reviewer Chuck S. is a disgruntled ex-employee, disregard his rant. The artists get all the proceeds they should get and the owners love and care for the place and love the musicians. $15 is not too much to pay for quality entertainers, which is what you will get. Ralph Roddenbery is one of Atlanta's great musical treasures and he is definitely worth $15 and more, don't miss seeing him. read more

A little gem in the burbs! Live music on a stage in the backyard. Bring your own camp chair and BYOB. It's a fun atmosphere, laid back. Restrooms are inside the cottage where you can also shop for some local art, candles and funky decor. For $15 you can't beat it! A great date night or night out with friends. read more

We have been enjoying outdoor concerts here for years and LOVE IT! All our guests talk about this place regularly, and wish they had a place back home like Waltzing Matilda's. It is great to be able to bring our own food and beverages and have a picnic or not, the choice is ours. Sometimes we take a complete set-up, along with candles and tablecloth, and other times we grab a bottle of wine and run out the door. Completely unpretentious & friendly, also a great place to bring the kids with you, they have a large field behind the seating area, so if the kids get wiggly, they can run around and play with other kids there, just like the good ole days! The variety of live music is wonderful (musicians love playing here) but the experience of sitting under the moonlight and pine trees while listening to the music, or dancing, is what really sets this place apart. The place is so unique, I see other places around Atlanta attempting to recreate the experience. The management is great, and they are happy to call a cab for you if you get a little carried away, truly a gem in the heart of Alpharetta. read more
