The "experienced designer" overlooked the fact that appliances are to be accounted for in a KITCHEN floor plan. Apparently she forgot that & my contractor didn't catch it because he's not a kitchen designer. This cost me over $3k to take out a load bearing wall to account for this mistake and pushed my project back. We have been missing some items such as toe kicks and the skin for our fridge. Now this is the last straw. This is how they sent our cabinets and insist it's not drawn on with marker. They refuse to allow any returns to get our money back. DON'T SHOP HERE! Save your sanity and hard earned money. We spent thousands on these and can't get our money back.

I was sent to another representative who showed me the faucet recommended by the contractor. I chose one in one color and he said they only had it in another color. I said thank you and proceeded to leave when another man scolded the second man and told him he had one in my color. The second man picked it up and wrote me a slip. The third man said he was giving me a 30% discount. Well, upon installation the faucet didn't work and the shop wouldn't give a refund. In addition, the amount he charged me with a 30% discount was more than I would have paid at Menards. Luckily the contractor got the piece to fix it. Horrible experience.

Fortunately, Evan Devine, Shilling's Service Manager was able to get " Custom Cal Homes Remodeling " to complete a perfect installation. I would advise all who order specific cabinetry to not only submit a picture of what they desire but also to sign the exact spec sheet of the Schilling building plan. in addition, before starting a major bath rehab which might demand a cast iron tub breakdown, I would advise waiting until "after" your vanity and top are delivered and accepted. I gave Schilling a 5 star review,not only for a great finished bath rehab, but also for employing stellar personal that was able to make that happen. I spent well over a 100 grand on windows framing lumber sheathing zipboard doors siding fixtures trim decking railings and so much more. I purchased LP siding in late 2018 and was installed into early 2019. I paid extra to have the siding double coated which was presented as a 50 year warranty. Within a couple of years I noticed the siding chalking and the trim opening up like a sponge. In early 2022 I presented this issue to Scott Czapar who was my salesperson that I had been dealing with since day one. Schillings had purchased the LP siding from Cedar Siding INC which has since gone out of business. I spoke to both Scott and Kyle who brought this to the attention of Dean Schillings. I paid 7500 dollars in labor and 1500 in materials to have my house repainted. I was asking Schillings to cover half the cost of materials which was 750 dollars in which they denied. They suggested that the warranty was from the company they bought the siding from. I bought the siding from Schillings not anywhere else. I will not spend 10 cents at their company ever again. Scott Czapar has never been the issue and has always gone above and beyond to address the many issues that came about. Also anyone reading this please go out and look at your siding and see if it has failed! I can guarantee that I am not the only person this has happened to. They pay Absolute to confirm all the pieces are in and correct. Their installer didn't properly check the color of all the pieces and missed that a cabinet skin was blue, not gray. It stayed wrapped up until other cabinets that were damaged were reordered were in. Yet to get then to get to my property is almost impossible (for a 20 minute job). I've got flights booked across the country to be there and they can't squeeze me in 2 days later -- even though on another time they hired an outsourced contractor (who were better!) to come do the second install with the cabinet (when he realized the skin was the wrong color). He still installed it so that it would have the finished look and so that I could capture the photos of the mistake. That first installer also tossed my moulding. The lack of attention to detail has delayed this kitchen for literally months. Stay away and use another contractor. Absolute is all around the country and too big, and you really don't want to deal with Eric.
