We hired Matrix to replace the ancient roof and gutters. We had a great experience with them. They had 4 workers who completed the roof in 3 days, and on the 4th day another set of workers who replaced the gutters. Every one of their roofing staff worked incredibly hard for long hours, and did a beautiful job (they were great communicators, very responsive, and so neat) . I have to update my review to one star since I initially gave them 5 stars, and homeowners need to be aware of the drastic shift in the Matrix's core values. Our last (and it will be our last) experience we found Matrix slow to respond, disingenuous with the reason for their inexcusably slow response, not customer focused at all. Matrix is unrecognizable as the company we had initially placed our trust in. We could never recommend Matrix again. Sarah can be extremely rude, defensive and disrespectful and make you feel that you should apologize for calling her to ask a question. If this happened only once you could chalk it up as a bad day...after multiple times, you know that rudeness is status quo. If you're wondering how slow they are to respond, consider that it took one year for them to respond to my initial review. Fortunately, our home inspector had several excellent roofers to refer us to and one that we found especially thorough and insightful was Jobin Roofing. Zac, whom we've interacted with wants Jobin Roofing to remain a top quality roofing contractor. He listens and is responsive, NOT at all defensive or reactive and very thorough in their estimate. This was the only roofing contractor who requested to go into the attic to make sure that there weren't any leaks. Get several quotes. I met the owner at a home show. A few months later I need roof replaced. Gave a call and they were out the next day with a reasonable estimate. Scheduled the work and it was completed. Done in one day and when they were done the roof looked wonderful and no mess. Fast forward a couple of years and I am selling that house and they are called to help with the gutters. Again, reasonable pricing and on the job quickly and efficiently. Two days ago I called because the roof in the house I purchased is leaking. They come out same day to check it out. Matrix personnel hand brushed the moss from our roof, applied moss repellant, cleaned our gutters, caulked exposed nails and fasteners, installed boot collars on pipe boots, replaced a shingle that was very worn, and cleaned the area. Ever try to get a contractor to show up in a hurry? Matrix was recommended by a friend after our kitchen flooded, and they arrived at 8:00 a.m. the next day. They ripped out all the bad flooring, removed all the wet insulation, and got it dry. Insurance only paid about half of the total costs, so I took on much of the work myself. I wish I had hired Matrix to do the whole job. During the course of the remodel, we found two additional sources of water damage, including some sewage which had permeated the sub-floor and the plywood underneath a toilet. The before and after pictures tell the story: they arrived on time and left no mess behind. Polite and professional. I wish I had met them before I paid too much for my new roof. read more

My experience with Matrix was excellent. Their cost was very competitive and everyone I had contact with at Matrix; in the office as well as in the field was very personable, knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with. The crew who worked on my roof was very courteous, professional and diligent, hard workers. I had assumed I would need to sweep up and clean a bit around my yard when the roofers had completed the job; however I was very pleasantly surprised that they left my yard in perfect condition with no debris of any kind remaining. Just a little over a year ago i meant the Matrix crew at the Clark county Spring and Summer Fair I was in need of a company to clean my roof I made a appointment with Matrix, they sent out a employee Mauricio to clean my roof, the process he did was the first I have ever seen before. I wanted to see how well it worked I was very surprised not only with the process No Moss period over the year but the cost. This year I went back to Matrix to have my roof done again, again I was surprised, with the economy being what it is I did expect a substantial raise in cost there wasn't. Being on a fixed income it was well within my budget and again Matrix sent out Mauricio to do the work. I will not say what the process is you'll just have to see what it is. Again I am very pleased with the work Matrix Mauricio did I would be very please to recommend this company. Oh, BTW the office people are very professional and pleasant to work with. read more

Very difficult to work with. The front desk is beligerent and defensive, and it took an unusually long time to get paperwork signed. We asked specifically for one number to be called to let us know when the work would start, and another number was called the night before. We were awakened early (7am) to a crew we were not expecting. The guys who did the roof did so in one day - they worked 12 hours straight. Long day for our family as well. And then we get a call threatening us with legal action because payment has not arrived even though the signed paperwork made that timeline with our bank very clear and the time was still within that timeline. In the past weeks I obtained quotes to re-roof my 1,200 sq ft ranch style home due to the fact that I had a second layer put on 20 years ago. I've had no issues or concerns with the roof, but wanted to take a preventative and pro-active approach to the expiration of the existing roof. Co 1 (Ibex Roofing) gave a $11,000 quote and a 90-min sales pitch. Steve was professional and informative. Co 2 (Cutting Edge Contracting) gave a $13,000 quote and a 90-min hard sales pitch, + a return 30-min visit to deliver the quote 3 days later. Brandon was condescending, over-bearing, pretentious, and critical of other companies. Moses the other estimator present assessed the roof and was otherwise disengaged, mostly checking and texting on his cell-phone during our conversations. Co 3 (MATRIX) - Professional & informative. After inspection, Josh determined a new roof was not necessary and the work done 20 years ago was an actual tear-off/re-roof; not a second layer install. (this was also confirmed by documents on file) Josh offered a preventative service to extend the life of the existing roof, and no sales pitch. A preventative service quote was emailed the following morning and included a separate re-roof quote for $9000 should I decide to move forward with a new install. It's concerning that 2 of the companies tried to sell a service not yet needed. _When I contacted Ibex, Steve offered to come back and re-quote the work. _When I contacted Cutting Edge Roofing, Moses said he didn't remember me, so I asked to speak with his manager but have not received a call back. I do greatly appreciate the integrity and honesty of Matrix Roofing, who stood out from the rest by offering a comprehensive approach to help extend the life of the existing roof. I reroofed entire home including some trim/gutter fixes to original design. Office team was easy to work with, handling 4 changes to my bid to meet HOA requirements. Crew did the job (5K sq ft. home) in only a week, was well managed, allowed frequent breaks as needed on two ~95-100 degree days, and left the worksite clean. Turns out the size my roof was underestimated (due to 3rd party SW vendor bug), and I offered to cover the unexpected additional shingles and labor cost. Matrix said their policy is to stick to the original quotation price. An unexpected and unnecessary break to me, however speaks to the attitude of the owner/team. read more

First, the good things: our roof looks great, and the price was reasonable. However, it took a very long time to get our roof. I understand that there are busy times for roofing, but they kept pushing out the expected date, which was frustrating. They are great at communication and I would definitely recommend doing business with them. This was not a small job they had to replace 20 sheets of plywood.They used high quality materials. They cleaned up all of their mess went around with a magnet to get all of the nails and garbage. I usually do not do this, in fact this may be the first company I have given a poor review. They did a patch job on my chimney to replace some flashing. I have since had multiple chimney companies come to do the rest of the job and these separate companies commented on how crappy/incomplete the job by Matrix was. In fact one company replaced/improved the flashing that Matrix company did install this past Thursday. I have never had a company redo another company's work because it was so crappy but this just happened, they just felt bad for me. Do not use Matrix Roofing for patch jobs. I can't speak for normal roof jobs, but patch jobs is definitely not their expertise. read more
