We ordered the bronzino and steak and especially the steak was incredible. We also had the fall salad which they had thoughtfully put in two plates. Again amazing perfection of taste with crunchiness of the roasted nut. I'm not drinking alcohol right now but they had two zero proof wines from Tuscany that was pretty good. Overall my experience was 10 out of 10. Really impressed.

Unfortunately, the weather didn't cooperate, which obviously isn't the restaurant's fault. What WAS incredibly disappointing was their solution: instead of seating us inside the actual restaurant, they walked us over to a completely separate, off-premise catering room nearby. We were literally the ONLY people sitting in this random room. It felt like we had been removed from the restaurant entirely and stuck in an overflow event space and not exactly the birthday dinner or Felice experience we made a reservation for. What made it worse was the host's attitude. Despite there appearing to be plenty of available tables inside the actual restaurant, she flat-out refused to seat us there and essentially told us we could either sit in the catering room or go somewhere else. No apology, no attempt to accommodate us, and honestly just incredibly dismissive and rude. It was such a bizarre and unwelcoming way to treat first-time guests. The food at least started off strong. The bruschetta and eggplant were both great! For dinner, we had the chicken Milanese and cacio e pepe, and neither was anything special. Our server was nice and the service itself was pretty good so I don't want that to go unnoticed BUT being shoved into an empty catering room and basically told to take it or leave it by the host completely overshadowed the rest of the night. For somewhere we were genuinely excited to try, it was an awful first impression and definitely not the experience we expected.

It's small but nice in here, had always known about Il Mulino but just recently tried it. Got two prefix lunches. They provide a complimentary bread basket with focaccia, some parmigiano and zucchini chips. Starters we chose beef carpaccio and octopus. The carpaccio is classic, pounded thin, shaved parmigiano and a lemony arugula salad on top. The octopus is tender and served with pickled onions and a frisee salad. Mains, did the lobster ravioli and the steak frites. Large size ravioli but three pieces, so they do go quickly. The lobster is mixed in with the ricotta which is quite soft. The steak portion was decent but keep in mind also a $10 add-on. Cooked a bit more well than I'd like but the sauce was good. Desserts were a panna cotta and flourless chocolate cake. The panna cotta has a more bouncy jello-like consistency. Chocolate cake was good. Not bad options for a PF lunch but definitely standard menu will add up fast.

There was a small parking lot and upon entry parts of the place was still under renovation. Since we had early dinner there were families dining and the place was overall empty. Our server was knowledgeable and was upselling alcohol to my husband. When he told the server he wanted ginger ale, the server stated that they did not have ginger ale so he had to settle for a glass of wine. We ordered from the Sunday Supper prix fixe menu. We received complimentary bread, salami and zucchini. For the appetizers we ordered the eggplant rollatini, mussels and minestrone soup. For the main entrees I ordered the ravioli al porcini with truffle and veal marsala. I loved the ravioli with truffle. Portions were small. Dessert was served with a sampler of cake slices. I would definitely love to return especially that their prix menus have been expanded but unfortunately they do not have the items we ordered in their current prix fixe menus.

Five of us were there on a Wednesday for dinner and were able to order off the $40 three-course…read morespecial menu, which was more extensive than others we've seen. Like most three-course special menus, there are upcharges for various selections. Sometimes in retrospect I regret ordering three courses because a single entrée is sufficient. That was the case here because I was almost full after eating their chopped salad appetizer and the heated Italian bread and butter that preceded the entrée. I was surprised because an appetizer salad is often a small or medium sized plate, but here it's a full sized platter. Also, I ate it all, when I could've taken home half. Ditto for my entrée, their chicken marsala. I know that some of our friends purposely take home half of everything, so they get two meals out of one order. My decision, however, piggy as sounds, was that one of their included desserts was the tiramisu, which I have trouble resisting ... to the point where I try to sample them in as many restaurants and bakeries as possible, as if someday, somewhere, I'll submit an article on the subject ... "Tiramisus of Long Island and NYC." The food and service were very good, we had a large round table in the back, that made it easy for us to talk, a nice tablecloth and thick napkins, but I've had better tiramisu. A free glass of white or red wine came with the special, but I didn't like mine and should, like my son, have gotten a diet Coke instead (a permissible substitution). The parking situation was a minor hassle in that there was no valet, and while a sign in front of the restaurant suggested parking in the lot across the street, when we went there, the signs said that after 5:30 PM they'll tow you away, so we found a spot in the neighborhood and walked a few blocks. We'd be happy to go back, although there are Italian restaurants just as good that are closer to where we live. This Matteo's was half way between where we five reside, and convenience matters, especially on a weekday night.

We would not have come back except we had plans with friends who wanted to meet here. So glad we did! My main complaint before was the acoustics. The renovation with added decor to dampen noise did the trick. I didn't even notice that the restaurant was full. We ordered different dishes and ate it family style so got to try a few different dishes. I didn't order so don't know the specific names but we shared a salad, a spicy calamari, egg yolk ravioli, black linguini with seafood, catfish, and a veal parm. I especially enjoyed the ravioli. Flavors were nice on all the dishes. I don't know if it was the company but I didn't notice a lapse in service. The servers were attentive. The parking was still ample. I'm glad we came back and a little regretful that we waited so long.

The ambiance was warm and inviting, and every single person from the host to the bartender to our server and everyone in between played a part in making the night feel special. The attentiveness, professionalism, and genuine kindness did not go unnoticed, and it set the tone for the entire evening. We were first greeted with warm bread and olive oil, which was absolutely delightful and the perfect start. Our server, Paulino (I hope I'm spelling his name right), guided us through the menu with such care and knowledge, which made the experience even better. We started with the mussels Bianco and baked clams both were outstanding, easily a 9/10. Fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. For our entrées, we had the branzino and a pasta dish that was nothing short of amazing. The attention to detail like freshly cracked pepper added right at the table made everything feel elevated and thoughtfully done. To end the night, I mentioned that my mom had just passed her real estate exam and that we were celebrating her. They went above and beyond by bringing out an apple crostini with a candle, which was such a thoughtful and memorable touch. And yes, we devoured the entire thing. It was that good. Truly a 10000/10 moment. What made this experience even more meaningful is that it came after a long, stressful day at the ER. Walking into such warmth, care, and genuine hospitality meant more than I can put into words. Thank you again for the incredible service, attentiveness, and overall experience. I truly wish I could remember everyone's names because each person we encountered was a pleasure. Please let them know my mom and I are so grateful. We dined on April 3rd around 9 PM, and it's a night we won't forget.

Tyson, one of the owners, warmly greeted us upon arrival and kept us updated during our short wait. Even on a Monday evening, the dining room was already packed and buzzing with energy. Glenn, our server tonight, is always funny, personable, and wonderful. He made us feel right at home, as always. I had my usual favorite, the family-style Calabrian Linguine with garlic and oil, topped with toasted 4C spicy breadcrumbs. I had been craving it, and it absolutely hit the spot! Hubby ordered the half-size Chicken Dino with boneless chicken over escarole and beans, fresh artichoke hearts, and spicy cherry peppers. He loved it! I had some of the escarole, beans, and artichoke hearts, and they were honestly some of the best I've ever had. We even had plenty left over to enjoy the next day! What truly sets this restaurant apart, though, is the exceptional hospitality. Tyson, Matthew, Glenn, and the entire team genuinely make their guests feel valued and appreciated. John A., who served us a few months ago, even stopped by to say hello and made a point of saying goodbye when we left. Those thoughtful personal touches say so much about the kind of place this is. Excellent food, wonderful people, and truly outstanding hospitality. We always leave happy and satisfied, and we'll definitely be back soon!

They start you off with some warm buns served with honey butter and they were GOOD. So good that we asked for more and then tried to stop ourselves from devouring them before our food even arrived. For appetizer, we ordered the crispy calamari. The batter was very light and the calamari itself was so delicate and sweet. You can definitely tell how fresh the seafood is and that stayed true for the rest of our meal. For pastas, we got the spaghetti fra diavolo containing lobster and shrimp. Again, the seafood was fresh, sweet, and tender. The pasta was also a shocker, not only was it perfectly firm, it had such a nice chewy texture. You can feel and taste how homemade the pasta is. Next, the rigatoni eggplant was our unexpected favorite. The pasta texture was even better with the rigatoni shape and the eggplant was not even noticeable, it blended in so well with the sauce. The ricotta on top was the perfect creamy addition. For proteins, the pork chop was very tender and juicy. The sweet glaze wasn't overly sweet and it really complimented the savoriness of the meat. The brussel sprouts on this dish were also outstanding. I love when a restaurant doesn't treat the veggies as a side dish! The branzino was light and refreshing, it was a really great balance to the other saucier dishes we had. The service was extremely attentive and so friendly. They really took care of us and made sure we enjoyed our meal.
