In short, Jesse, the owner performed the usual BBL "bait & switch" on pricing. I was quoted $550 for the following: kitchen sink faucet bathroom sink faucet tub/shower combo faucet, including valves. I called a week prior to the job, and told Jesse, I was coming up from the South Bay, specifically for this, as I don't live on the mountain. We talked in detail about what was needing replaced, timeframe, and cost. We had a good chat, and he reassured me the cost/timeline. The day comes and his two plumbers were 45 minutes late, and I had to call Jesse asking for an ETA. Once the guys got to the house that's when they called Jesse confirming the installation, and now the price has doubled. I spent over $1000! I have a full-time tenant living in the home, I do not live on the mountain, and I did not have time to start calling more plumbers for estimates on how much this job would cost. I understand pricing can change once you "get in there" and see the job, but I spoke in detail about everything prior to booking... so now I'm just pissed, and being up against the ropes, I just went ahead with the job. Although the price was doubled, the work did appear to be done correctly, and everything was done in less than four hours. I haven't heard any complaints from my tenant about anything leaking or any other issues. It also took a week, four phone calls, and multiple text messages just to get an invoice from Jesse. Out of all the contractors and handymen I have dealt with on the mountain, J.O's Plumbing was by far, the worst. Don't waste your time, energy, or money dealing with him.
