We had a AC installed by another BBL HVAC company about 5 years ago and, while problems have been minimal, we have always been surprised by the cost of repairs when it acts up. The latest issue was diagnosed by the original installer, and the "solution" cost was insane. So much so that we decided we'd finally see what else the mountain had to offer. Reached out to M&M, and they were quick to show up and do their own diagnosis. They came to a much more reasonable conclusion and their solution made much more sense (and was much more reasonable!). I saw that this company had ALL 5-star reviews so I left a message at night that my furnace was broken, and I would like someone to check it out and give me an estimate for fixing it. Michael contacted me the next morning and said he could have someone out THAT AFTERNOON! When I mentioned I had two furnaces, and the other one was working fine, he said "it doesn't cost any more to do a tune-up on your working furnace too." So, I said "great, check that one out too." I got a call from Dean in the afternoon explaining what was wrong with the unit and that he had already fixed it - for $64 more than the standard inspection fee. I was shocked that he had the exact transformer replacement in his truck. Could not have been more pleased regarding the entire experience. I will use them every time now for any HVAC issues. If everyone else's experience is similar to mine, I can see why their rating is so high. read more

I was having some difficulty turning on my gas fireplace. I called M&M and quickly had a visit with their tech guy, Dean, who fixed the problem. He vacuumed out all the years of accumulated dust and crud, cleaned the glass, checked everything for safety and showed me how to manually turn it on when power goes out. New Heater in 1 Day! We have been having problems with our old heater. We called M&M and they came right out to diagnose the heater. It was toast. There was no charge for the diagnosis. Had this company install a common wire in order to use nests thermostats on wall heaters several months ago for my cabin in big bear city. They did an amazing job. They were efficient, informative and great to work with. Today I had extended family visiting my cabin and the nest thermostat showed no power. I called the owner and he sent out Tim and within 10 min he arrived at my cabin to trouble shoot and fix the problem. I had a guest blow out my electrical and it ended up blowing out my pilot light on my wall heater. This happened in winter! So I was freezing I tried turning the pilot light on myself but the button wouldn't work. I called them and someone was out that same day. To say that Dean and Tim exceed expectations is an understatement. We got up to Big Bear for President's weekend on Sunday night and our heater was broken. When I called Dean he was able to get out there within an hour to evaluate the situation. We were nervous that the pipes might freeze. He said we needed a new board. From now on this is the contractor I will use for my heater repairs going forward. Dean and his partner quickly diagnosed the problem and got my heater and fan up and running again. He also found WHY the issue of a burned out transformer occurred and fixed that as well. It was clear to me that the issue had occurred due to the previous contractor's mistake.
