Just called this place to pay for an order made by my contractor. The fellow on the other side of the line was extremely unprofessional and rude. When I tried to explain that that the order was made under my contractor's company name, he started raising his voice and complained by saying "people need to start getting goddamn names of who they talk to, to complete these orders". There's no point of doing business with this place since the staff is clearly incapable of professionalism. read more

Ordered windows and doors 10/10/18 with a sales representative. I was recommended to work with them because my previous vendor switched and told us to work with Matthews. It has been a disappointing disaster. We just received as of Friday 1/4/18 the right piece for the window. Ordered the windows and doors explaining sizes and exactly what I needed. Confirmed with the final sale that they were the ones I needed. Received the French door, and it was 1.5 inches too large for the opening. We had to cut a larger opening and make it work. The windows too a month and were all wrong. When they delivered, they broke a window and left it wrapped in plastic. I called to explain the window sizes were wrong, they were not replacement windows but new construction windows (for those of you that understand, it's a big difference), and that we needed new ones ASAP. The sales representative had no interest in communicating, or apologizing to me. He acknowledged to my project manager that he made the mistake entering it the sizes into the computer, and we would have to eat the delay. Every time I reached out to check on an eta, we noticed the windows "suddenly came in yesterday" or "they are just getting here today". It seemed like a lot of smoke and mirrors and no desire to keep a long term client. When we got the replacement window from the broken window they broke, it was wrong of course. I asked for a discount (beyond frustrated at this point), and the sales representative simply said no. Terrible customer service. I love working with smaller businesses but honestly this would have been more efficient by going to Lowe's and waiting the 4 weeks for the windows. Truly disappointed. read more

The place to go for all your lumber and millwork needs. Because they manufacture their own millwork, its cheaper to buy here rather than HD or Lowes. read more

We ordered deck boards 6 months ago to replace our existing deck boards and rebuild our deck. I was told that the prices were much more competitive than HD or Lowe's and that the quality of wood was better. I placed the order by phone and -to my fault I didn't price compare. After the delivery, I discovered that we paid about $300 more for these boards than for a similar order from Lowe's. As far as quality, MANY of the MBS boards were cracked, curved, or u-shaped along the face of the board. While some of the Lowe's boards were cracked, the overall quality was definitely better. Now, 6 months later you can feel the unevenness of the MBS boards when walking on the deck and I regret that we didn't just order everything from Lowe's. Really disappointed in this product. read more

Hands down Custom Granite Solutions was the winner by far not only due to price but the fact they could do so much more than just countertops. The initial meeting was to discuss the project and how they would go about it. They offered suggestions of things we had not even considered so we were confident in their abilities from the very beginning. We made our countertop selection from one of the distributors that Custom Granite Solutions uses and waited for our slab to arrive at the warehouse. Elbert suggested that we go look at the slab prior to installation, just to make sure the color was the same as the distributor's sample. Much to our disappointment, the slab was much whiter than I had hoped. I called Elbert and he let me know the issue would be addressed. The next day he called with a satisfactory solution that got our project back on track. He went over and above what we expected to make this right. Each of the individual craftsmen (countertop and tile installers and the plumber) were all amazing. The countertop installer took his time when demoing the old countertop and backsplash. They put down drop cloths to protect our hardwood floors and cleaned up periodically during the process. We requested they try to save our cast iron sink which they were able to do saving us $700. The sink had to be cleaned due to all the adhesive from the previous install which they took to their shop and did. It turned out amazing and looks brand new. During the countertop install, the contractor showed us that the previous installer had not leveled our countertops correctly (due to unlevel floors) which was evident in the unevenness of our previous backsplash. The installer took the time to level all the countertops rather than install them as was previously done. The tile contractor was used to install backsplash that we provided. We were told upfront from Elbert what supplies to get such as the tile grout and caulk. The installer asked us what we paid for the supplies and that we could get them much cheaper from Lowe's or Home Depot which amounted to a $95 savings. We were so thankful that he took the time to ask this question and to explain the difference between sanded and non-sanded to ensure we picked out exactly what we needed for our install. He even offered suggestions as to the grout color by showing us pictures of previous jobs he had done. Just like the countertop installer, he took his time in making sure everything was done to perfection. The plumber was great as well. He made a few suggestions regarding the kitchen faucet such as not installing the cover plate for a slicker look which we love. Lastly, all the contractors cleaned up at the end of their installations. I am a clean freak and only needed to mop when they left. This really helped with our hectic schedules. We are so thankful that each of these contractors treated this project like it was their own home. That says a lot about this company's reputation. If there were zero stars, that's what I would give them. Horrible. Horrible. Horrible. To save time, I'm going to copy my email to them which spells out the terrible treatment that I was given. This was sent by me today, 8/23/21. Mr. Micallef, The ONLY reason that I initially patronized your business was to purchase the Screeneze system, because you are the nearest location to me that sells the system. After that, I decided to purchase a door from your business which ended up not working out and was returned. All of this time I was NEVER told that your business was contractor-only. When I purchased the products, I was NEVER told that anything was non-refundable. I have already endured one nasty phone call from Mr. Bulla on the day that my contractor returned the door, demanded the card number and questioning me about WHY I was returning the door. Then, this morning at 8:45 am I was contacted by someone who I assume is Burt Bulla regarding the door return. Within about 1 minute, he laid into me about returning the door and asked me if I my contractor had brought me a return receipt after he delivered the door to your location. I told him that he had not. (My contractor told me that he had also been met with an "attitude" when he returned the door to your location.) I told Mr. Bulla that the refund for the door had indeed cleared my account last week and I asked him to hold for a moment while I double checked. I told him that it showed a refund on August 5, and this seemed to set Mr. Bulla off even more. However the refund although dated August 5, did not show up in my bank account until last week - AFTER I sent you the email dated August 14. Mr. Bulla then accused me of demanding a refund in my email, and I told him that I did not. I told him that I only asked that the refund be checked on to see if it had cleared on your end. He retorted that I had indeed demanded a refund, which he had already completed this morning (evidently before he called me). My original email is below as proof that I did not demand a (2nd) refund. Mr. Bulla was so hateful to me that I asked to speak to whomever he reports to and he told me then that he was going to charge me again for the door and demanded my zip code. This exchange went back and forth a few times with me continuing to ask who he reported to - until Mr. Bulla said to me "I'll find it (zip code) and don't ever come in here again". **click**. And Mr. Bulla - like a 12 year old boy - hung up on me. LOL Mr. Micallef, have done nothing to you, your company or Mr. Bulla. I simply bought and returned a door and then sent an email about the refund when it had not cleared my account for over a week. There is nothing wrong with any of that. When you have an employee is allowed to treat anyone with such disrespect and vitriol, I wonder how you stay in business. You might want to keep Mr. Bulla from anything that has to do with customer service. Mr. Bulla also needs to get some help for his anger issues. I'm going to keep a watch on my account to make sure that Mr. Bulla's transactions are correct. If they are not, I will let you know. Hopefully you will never have to hear from me again and I can promise that I will happily never set foot in your business again. Date: 8/14/21. Subject: Returned Door need money refunded $471.90 Message: August 3, Albert my painter returned an exterior door and I had purchased from you for $471.90. Someone from your location called me and asked me the reason why the door was being returned. Really?? He asked for my card number which I gave to him over the phone. I have not seen a refund into my account as of yet and it's been more than one week. Please let me know what's going on. read more
