I purchased a split king mattress in 2020 with a bed tech mechanism to raise and lower each side. The mechanism on one side stopped working a couple of months ago and I was told to contact BedTech/ServeCo which is the manufacturer of the mechanism. I called and they sent an e-mail detailing what they needed before they could send a technician. I responded as best I could and to make a long story short, I've been given the "run around" resulting in no service at this point. I have reached out to Matthews Mattress where I originally purchased the bed and they said I have to talk to Bed Tech. I am so frustrated because BedTech/ServeCo is not helping me. read more

There's several mattress stores in the area; I chose Matthews Mattress because it's locally owned and has great reviews. The first mattress I bought didn't work well for me (turns out I need a much firmer mattress). Exchanging it for a different mattress was fast and easy. I purchased our mattress at a home show. I had read great reviews on company first. We discussed what we were looking for in a mattress and we wanted the adjustable frame. It took a month to get the mattress and that was after I was calling and inquiring. We had the mattress for less than the trail period and I was not happy with the comfort, it was way too firm. I went to the store and spoke to sales person to make an exchange. I was told I had to come back to the store again to speak with my sales person so a few days later we returned. We were told when we purchased an exchange would only be $200.00 but that was a lie. The exchange was $500.00. By then I wanted the exchange because the first bed was causing me pain. We agreed on mattress was told the warehouse would contact us about delivery. We were told they had just done another home show and sold many mattresses so might be a little while. We waited again and heard nothing for a month, so I called again. We then got a call back to set up delivery. We are happy with the second mattress. I cannot give a high rating because of how much time it took to get mattresses and that I had to call them both times to check in status. Tempurpedic was having a Memorial Day sale but needed to try them out since it is such an expense to make without testing. I chose Matthews because I always prefer supporting a small business and I am glad I did! Paul was AMAZING! He certainly knew beds and explained the pros and cons. We mostly had his undivided attention, he was still able to help another customer while we tried to decide. Now that's some skill! Plus he was able to accommodate my request to delay my financing as we are going through Escrow on our new home while still taking advantage of the sale. I just had to make a $250 deposit which I didn't mind at all. AND if that wasn't enough, knocked more money off and threw in a mattress cover AND free delivery and removal of my old bed. I was at the Home and Landscape Expo on February 4th and bought a mattress with an adjustable frame which also had a massage feature. When I received the frame on February 22nd, the frame was not the model which had the massage feature which was the main reason why I decided to make the purchase that day. I reached out to them through email and phone on March 14th, letting them know that I'm fine with the frame but requesting a partial refund because of the missing feature. Despite sending them an email and calling, I have not received any response since then. We had a good experience with Mathews despite a few glitches. Our salesman Paul was able to offer us a pretty good price on a Sealy mattress. Our experience from shopping was prices were pretty much the same and we concluded service was probably the difference. Mathews offered everything we required. We hadn't picked out a bed yet and they were willing to store the mattress until we found something. They took away our old bed which was an old heavy monster, assembled our new bed, which was surprisingly complicated, took away all the boxes and cleaned up our room. The removal and assembly turned out more complicated than they expected never-the-less they made good on their promises for delivery. The bed and mattress turned out to be mostly incompatible but Patrick from Mathews spent a lot of time trying to help us make it work. Ultimately the bed didn't turn out quite as expected but the work arounds still made for a nice finished product. Despite these problems I'd still gladly go back to Mathews their prices were reasonable and service great. read more

Paul was extremely helpful in the purchase of our new King Bed a little while back. We purchased a mattress, box spring and bed set. It was a smooth and painless process and we left getting a great deal. When it was time to deliver the bed, we got the mattress and box spring but the footboard on the bed had a crack so they couldn't deliver it. (Really appreciated the honesty on that one!) We worked with Paul for several days to find a new bed since the one we originally ordered wasn't being produced anymore (Thanks COVID!) We were able to find a new one we liked and Paul placed the order and was able to take care of a few small things we had issues with along the way. I know times have been hard in the furniture business because of COVID and sadly it trickles down into great people like Paul. We really appreciated his patience during this whole thing as well as his professionalism and demeanor. He exemplifies amazing customer service. We were able to get the soft hybrid mattress my teenage daughter wanted at a reasonable price because it was a discontinued model and it was delivered within a weeks time. Delivery was free and communication was good. All the other mattress stores that we went to in Roseville were much higher priced for similar models, But that may be because they didn't have this discontinued model. read more

Only recieved on star because the people we had contact with were very nice. That said they are scammers. Mother bought a bed in Feb 2022. By April she was sinking in it. (no not overweight) at 93 years old its important to not get stuck in your bed. They sent an inspection team who stated it met qualification (by far) for a new matress and we would be contacted in 4 weeks. Mom joked she be dead by then. Well I guess that is what they were hopeful for becuase its December and not one call or contact made. And yues mom died in that mattress. We had a bad customer service experience with this store. We had two beds we were interested in. Ended up buying the more expensive one, a Mathew Mattress brand bed. It turned out to have a manufacturer defect where the topper had detached from side wall of bed, leaving a ripple dip effect through the bed. Caused my body a lot of pain as we waited through the return process. Lost faith in the bed we chose and decided we wanted the other bed we had been interested in prior. They refused to exchange the bed we wanted which was about a $300 difference. Stated we could exchange for any bed, any brand at same value or higher but if we choose the lower cost bed we would eat the cost. We ended up staying with same bed so we didn't lose money but will never shop with them again nor recommend them. They are not interested in making the customer happy with their purchase. We went in and bought the top of the line Tempurpedic mattress... We did not fully love it. They switched it out for a softer one and we still did not love the tempurpedic. They agreed to help us get into a third mattress, which technically they did not have to do. Throughout the process Nick answered my emails, took my calls and was always looking to be as helpful as possible. I heard about this company through Armstrong and Getty radio show. Went to this location and decided to buy the Beautysleep mattress after the sales guy named Paul gave me a price. Since I was clueless about mattresses and it was my first day shopping, I decided to call up their other locations to see if they offer the same price or have better deals. Next thing I know Paul called me and yelled at me for calling the other locations as though I backstabbed him or committed some sort of crime. It just went downhill from there as he gave me an attitude and acted as though he no longer wanted to sell me the mattress. The next day, Paul was off and Tony was working there. I called and gave him my name and wanted to pay for the mattress over the phone to have it delivered. Tony: "Oh you're the guy that called the other locations. We all know who you are." Me: "Yea that was me, I was shopping around and was seeing if I could find a better deal" Tony: "That wasn't cool what you did. I am pretty busy, the mattress no longer comes with a trial period" Me: "Paul told me yesterday that I have 3 months for returns or exchanges" Tony: "Not anymore. Take it or leave it, I don't care. I am pretty busy" Me: "Uh, wtf? &*(#$&(#*)#" As a customer, I have the right to find myself the best deal especially since mattress stores have different prices even if theyr'e the same company since the sales guy can play with the price. We went to Matthews Mattress just to look and learn about mattresses. Well that's the day we met the store manager, Paul. We learned more about mattresses than we ever thought possible because Paul asked us what WE really wanted in a mattress, took the time to explain the differences/options and allowed us to "test" as many mattresses for as long as we wanted. We never felt rushed or that Paul was just trying to make a sale. Our buying process was so amazing, we ended up purchasing a mattress that day. Hello All, I was very disappointed with this company, but a bit more with the sales rep "Paul". I found a great deal online and called in and asked if he would match the price and he stated they meet or beat the price. I said perfect and then drove over and went in. Paul asked what site and I showed him and he said yep, I can meet the $1400 price. I said wait the the site says $979, he said not on his screen. So I looked over his sholder and told him he was going at it through the wrong portal. I then guided him and we both came to the same price of $979. He said "Ohh it does have that price and lets go to the check out screen" so we did. The kicker here is that he said he couldn't access it, so he would not meet the price. I asked " I thought you meet or beat (keep in mind this was a reputable site) and he said nope sorry. So I told him no problem and its funny becuase my friends told me NOT to buy here as you have bad reviews, but I thought to try. He then said "bye". I went head and drove down about a mile to sleep train. walked in and showed them what I wanted and if they would match. He said yep! Tried the bed and bought in 15 min.
