Miserable experience... Bought two Beautyrest complete sets from MATTRESS FIRM (one queen and one king box spring and mattress). Placed onto a high-end frame. The king set quickly developed a corner sagging problem that was serious enough to cause one leg to leave the bed while sleeping. The slope in the bed was enough to start a fall but I stopped it when I awoke. After two tries with the store itself for resolve, I then went online and filed a claim. The bed still has a warranty. Filed the claim online. They wanted photos. Then the next day, they wanted more photos. The next next day, they wanted some more photos... Within a day, they denied the claim. I suggested paying a fee they advertise of $79 to have it looked at by a professional. Didn't matter, it was still declined. After online research, I found MATTRESS FIRM did little to honor their warranties. Several people said they had to 'Small Claims' the case and let a court decide. In any event, I highly suggest you look elsewhere when shopping for a mattress. Costco will always beat out pricing and not have the so-called Labor Day or Memorial Day bargain sales. Plus Costco has a stunning return policy. Avoid MATTRESS FIRM or be prepared to take a very expensive financial hit possibly if you get a bad bed. read more

Holy crap! Joe is next level when it comes to customer service. We came in to try some stuff out and see what works, and Joe opened our eyes to more facets of sleep than I knew existed. He walked us through different options, asked a lot of questions about us and our sleep patterns and preferences, and crafted a list of the best options for us. It took us a little longer than usual customers to make our decision (3 days), but through it all he kept a smile on his face, helped us when we had concerns, and even kept our daughter entertained when I was taking too long trying to make a decision. I posted the review below right after leaving their store quite upset. Since then Nick has reached out to me and apologized for forgetting to give me the rebate form or sending the items he promised. I believe that his apology is sincere and that in fact this was just an oversight on his part. As I state below Nick was very helpful when we were shopping and I should mention that the store has an excellent selection of mattresses and that we very much like our new mattress. _______________________________________________________________________________ We went into the Mattress Firm store in Rocklin to purchase a Tempur-Pedic mattress at the same location where we had purchased our last Tempur-Pedic mattress 14 years earlier. At that time the store was Sleep Train before they were bought out by Mattress Firm. Our salesman was Nick who appeared to be quite nice and helpful. The total bill was a little over 5K and Nick stated that if we chose the 12 or 24 month same as cash option we would get a prepaid card for $150. He told us delivery would be 2 days later and that we would receive an email with a 2 hour window for the delivery, and that we would receive a phone call from the driver when they were on their way. The next day we received an email telling us delivery would be between 4pm and 6pm and that again stating the driver would call when they were on the way. At 6:40pm the following day we had had no delivery and no phone call. At this time we don't know if they are still coming, and if so when, so I decided to call the store. Nick was not there and I told the person that answered about the issue. I expected to hear something along the line of "I'm sorry, I will contact the driver and ask them to call you with an ETA". Instead I got "YOU need to understand that we have a lot of deliveries". Clearly according to this idiot this was my problem, not theirs. At this point I told him to have Nick call me and I hung up. At 7pm we decided to sit down to dinner and a couple of minutes later, there they are at our front door. No phone call, no I am sorry we are late, just where are we going? Next morning I found some information cards/sheets that were supposed to be delivered with the mattress strewn in font of our front door. The delivery guys had to literally walk over these on the way back to the truck. Two days later I talked to Nick who wanted to know about our delivery experience although I am sure he already knew because I had already completed a survey. I described the above to him and told him that his coworker was extremely rude. He apologized and said that in response to my phone call they should have contacted the delivery manager to have him contact the driver. (The delivery manager did send me a text asking if they had earned a 10 or a 9. I replied that they had not and I would be glad to provide him direct feedback.. Never heard from him again.) Nick said he was sorry for the problems with the delivery and the rude coworker and said he would send us a set of sheets and a pillow to make up for these issues. I had not asked for anything, but I thought that this was a nice gesture on his part. Unfortunately it was also an empty gesture, Over 30 days after the purchase I had not heard from anyone at Mattress Firm and of course, no sheets and/or pillow. Also no information about $150 card so I contacted the credit card company. They informed me this was a rebate from Mattress Firm and I needed to submit a form. I called the store and asked about this form and he told me to come by the store to pick one up. Apparently Nick was supposed to provide it to me but did not. I asked the person on the phone if he could email me the form but he told me he was to busy and that it would be better for me to come by the store. Again, after a 5K purchase, how could I possibly expect him to take a couple of minutes to email the form. In fact all he had to do was provide me the code so I could complete the rebate form online. So the following day I to the store where I saw Nick who said that he was sorry if he forgot to give me the form. I let him know that I also never received the sheets or pillow that he promised. He told me he could still send them, but I told him I did not need them. read more

If ever there were a star employee, it is KD. She is phenomenal, thoughtful and truly went above and beyond for me and my kids. She understood how desperate I was to get my youngest a bed in order to help with some serious sleep issues we've been struggling with and she went out of her way, quite literally, to make sure we got him a bed ASAP. On top of that, she was incredibly thoughtful by presenting him with his "my first bed" certificate, signed and dated by the wonderful sleep expert herself. She gave my older kids stickers, which in our home, is always a win. I really cannot stress how touched I was by her exceptional customer service and I have told anyone who will listen about my experience with her and Mattress Firm in Rocklin. Today I went into the Mattress Firm to take advantage of the President's Day sale and purchase a full size mattress. I had already researched which mattress I wanted and could afford. I was quickly greeted by Joseph who led me to a mattress very similar to the one I wanted. Joseph was very easy going , knowledgeable, and I felt no pressure. I can see why the store gets so many great reviews. I was able to pay part cash and financed the rest. Financing was very quick and easy. Joseph engaged me in Pleasant conversation the entire transaction. I had a great experience. He set up my delivery and the removal of my old mattress for a small fee; I didn't have to hassle with taking it to the dump myself. I definitely recommend going to the Mattress Firm! This review in no way reflects the Rocklin store or it's employees but unfortunately corporate doesn't have a Yelp. I purchased an air mattress online from Mattressfirm and they shipped me an older model that was the wrong color and was missing the all important "poly fusion anti leak technology" which was my main reason for purchase. They have both models clearly listed online for different prices and refuse to admit they sent me the wrong model. They do not accept phone calls and told me they would not help me return the item even though the box is clearly unopened and untampered with... They even asked for pictures and I obliged of course, still sealed just against their policy... Unfair to send someone the wrong item and refuse to help them correct the mistake. I have filed complaints with my bank, the FTC and the BBB. Horrible customer service. Would never shop here again but will remove this review if they accept this return and make this situation right. This review is more for the online store than our local store, so keep that in mind. :) Online chat was great when the sale was being made, but during the delivery and after the sale I can't seem to get anyone to address the issue with compatibly and a platform bed. We paid an extra 800 for the se300 adjustable base so we could use it with our platform bed, but when it was delivered the driver said it can't be configured that way. Called and spent about 4 blasted hours on chat trying to sort it out. Left a message for a supervisor twice and never got a call back. The mattress itself is ok, just poor customer service. read more

I used to think that Sleep Train stood behind their products sold and that Dale Carslon brought integrity to this business. We purchased a Beauty Rest with 10 year warranty. After just over 3 years the mattress has excessive body impression spots ( right at 1 1/2" in some spots with no one on the bed). When I called about a warranty claim the representative told me I had to pay $25 to have them ship me a kit to measure the impression. When I told him I had a 6 foot level and could easily do that to photograph and upload to the warranty center he said no. Either 25$ for the kit or $39 for someone to come and do it themselves. This is all with no guarantee that your warranty claim will be approved. Now, who in the world ever heard of a warranty where you have to pay to prove your case. We will never again purchase a product from Sleep Train. Your ticket to warranty nightmare. Update 3.27.17 - After several weeks of back and forth with Mattress Firm service department our mattress was replaced and we upgraded to a better mattress. While the whole process was tedious I am happy that eventually the problem was resolved, but it sure took a lot of patience and work to get it done. read more

I went into Sleep Train today to get a new mattress since mine was giving me horrible back problems. Sean Beahm, the store manager, was extremely knowledgable and helpful in helping me picking me out a beauty rest mattress and pillow. Took less than 30 min to find exactly what I was looking for. He even went online to see if it was cheaper anywhere else. He found it for $105 cheaper and not only matched the price but gave me 5% lower. They are coming tomorrow to pick up my old mattress for free and deliver my new one. Cannot wait to get some beauty sleep on my new beauty rest. My family visited the Sleep Train Mattress Center on Five Star Blvd in Rocklin earlier this week to shop for a new mattress. What a great experience! Well, it's been 2 weeks & still no pillows. So I call to follow up and they refund 1/2 my money for the inconvenience. So why only 4 stars? Well, it's going to be another week or do before I get my pillows, or I would have added that last star. Bed shopping for the first time, Ashley made it a great experience!! Buying my first bed was overwhelming because I knew nothing about it, besides knowing I like soft beds :) I didn't know the difference between brands and what materials are on the market. Ashley answered every question I had. She explained everything I needed to know on what I was sleeping on. I laid on almost every bed they had in the store. The cheap to the expensive, firm to soft. Until I found one that I really liked within my price range. Ashley gave me a really good deal and I also got a metal frame for checking in :) sweet!! Had a great experience here at Sleep Train this past weekend! I worked with Mike - he was very helpful and knowledgeable. I was planning on shopping at Sleep Train and RC Willey. After taking a look at the beds at Sleep Train I told them I was gonna run over the RC to check out the prices and beds over there. He offered to quickly pull up their website and check their prices. RC Willey pricing was not as competitive. They also gave me a deal on the mattress protector and threw in the bed frame for free. Very happy! Would highly recommend giving these guys a try if you're in the market for a new bed. I got the Beautyrest mid-level model. read more

I would only Recommend coming here if you want to be treated disrespectfully and like you are at a used car sale lot. The gentleman "helping" us made us feel like we were stupid and didn't have enough money to shop there. He used a very condescending tone because we weren't educated on the ins and outs of mattresses. Which I don't know about you but that's why I came in a store front was for help. The worst customer service that I have ever received in my life. Bought mattress - defective- got next mattress did not feel anything like store model so within the return period , we ask for a refund because there is no other product that meets our needs. Fine. But they will not return the bases. We were never informed of the no refund policy and our sales person was moved to another location, so she emailed to us our invoice without any explanations of policies. So of course the manager or district manager will not step up the plate and take the return ( have no use for the bases) to satisfy the customer. I understand policy, but this has got to be an exception to the rule. I have never been treated so poorly. If you try to call Mattress firm customer service good luck getting anyone to listen to you other than a computer. What happened to customer service- its all about sales- forget if the customer is happy with your product. And of course manager or district manager will not return calls. read more
