They offered Byredo Mojave ghost and it smelled amazing! The room is gorgeous with a view of the Hollywood hills and the Walt Disney museum. The amenities that come with the room is amazing; the dry sauna was great, they have a relaxation room as well and we loved the tea apothecary as well. I just wish they have tea cups in the rooms! Had to call room service to bring it. The room service and the pool size service were amazing! However. The San laurel dining service is good but it can be better. The hotel itself is beautiful and luxurious with thoughtful details. I was admiring all the beautiful marble from the floors to walls to coffee tables. The floor to ceiling windows gives the hotel an open, airy, serene feel too. Our room felt so thoughtfully designed with a spacious bathroom, a little table, and an unbelievable shower with the best shower pressure and three different settings including a rain shower. Our beds weren't the biggest (full sized not Queen), but we all still slept so well with the plush coziness of it all. The on-site restaurant (San Laurel by Jose Andres) and bar (The Beaudry) were both phenomenal with excellent food, drinks, and service. The gym has great equipment and is kept super clean and organized - they have peloton, peloton rowers, plenty of treadmills, and a decent weight area. They have bottled boxed water, fruit, and a water refill station there as well as complimentary disposable headphones too. The Conrad is a great option for the DTLA area and we can't wait to come back!

I did enjoy being able to walk around the property from one restaurant to another or just for sightseeing. You get your workout that way. There are several restaurants inside the property so you dont really have to leave just to eat. I would like to also comment on their catering since we get to experience them during our work meetings at one of their meeting room along with a hosted dinner on one of the nights that we were there. Thats where I had to deduct one star. It was a hit or miss. The weekday lunch and dinner werent the greatest. My partner and I felt it was lacking in flavor. The NY steak that they served for dinner was more on the rare side. I do not mind it but maybe cook it just a little bit longer. We had to improvise on seasoning it too. Like what I would always say "its better under seasoned that over seasoned" as you cant do much if the food is too salty. They might have a different chef on weekends as the catered lunch was really good on saturday. Thr food was perfectly seasoned. Definitely no complaints there. Pillows were top tier. Everything else was kinda mediocre, the Red Bar was closed early... probably understaffed, there weren't any live events at night here, there wasn't any direct elevator from the Lower Level Lobby directly to my guest room. Felt like the property is really under booked with only a few rooms lighted up when I was down at the pool. Looking forward to reserve a tee time for their course next time. Property: 4/5 kinda old, but Alot of celebrities seem to frequent here Rooms: 5/5 very quiet, comfortable, and clean Concierge: 5/5 professional Ammenities: 3/5 they should allow locker room access to guests Last Opinions: Property is a tad bit dark, probably to conserve electricity, Pool access is way too far from rooms, feels like you need a golf cart to gain access everywhere. Unfortunately the room had some plumbing issues and the bathroom was a little rundown in my opinion (on top of the loud noise coming from downstairs) but I want to compliment the friendly staff overall in this review. Something that affected my stay was the pool situation. I was shocked when I discovered how small the pool area is for such a nice big hotel overall. There wasn't enough lounge chairs or anywhere to sit in general. Everyone was playing their own music loud, some louder than others, a bunch of kids splashing everywhere and I was surprised by this since I was thinking this would be a calm, peaceful resort setting. I was honestly surprised that there was no security at the time to enforce anything. Overall I tried to make the best of the circumstances but I will never return to this pool unfortunately. This hotel in general does have great views though. The elevators are close to the check-in desk and there was never a long wait for the elevator. I had a room with a king bed. The room was adequate in size and the bed was pretty comfortable. The bathroom has a separate walk in shower and separate tub. Where I feel this place is a bit outdated was the lack of USB ports for charging. The desk had an outlet built in but one of the power sources was not working. I had to do some work and needed to plug my laptop into the one working plug. But I also needed my cell phone and wanted to keep it charged. I had to unplug the lamp to use the power supply. There is another plug on the nightstand but that would have meant leaving the phone on the other side of the room and I needed the phone while I was working. But because I had to unplug the lamp, I had to work in the dark (it was evening). I can't remember the last time I was in a hotel room that didn't have USB ports so you could charge your phone at the desk and at the nightstand. I could have called the desk and I'm sure they would have given me another room but I was all settled in. Movies; this is the first time I have been in a hotel of this caliber where you had to pay for movies. Certainly I have been in other hotels where you pay for "some" movies, but not all. Usually there is free Showtime or HBO. No, I didn't travel to watch a movie, but sometimes it's nice when winding down in the evening or to have on in the background when working. They did offer some recent movies and even some that I think are still in theaters. Of course I would expect to pay; but most other top named hotels I would be able to watch movies for free. They do provide the opportunity to log into your Netflix and/or Amazon account.

We were looking for a unique venue for our November wedding. The Enchanted Manor was the first place we looked at and we both felt that it was the right fit. Georgia has created a little oasis in her back yard that we felt fit our vibe - lowkey, but classy. We had booked originally for approximately 60 guests, however once all the pieces fell into place we were closer to 50. Unfortunately our guest count dropped below 50 just after our window to let Georgia know, but she was kind enough to offer us the price difference. We applied that balance towards renting some heaters and lighting the fire pits as the weather got colder than anticipated, as well as to handling the trash. (Pay attention to the contract, you are responsible for removing trash or there is a fee.) One thing I didn't realize before booking was that there is space for a kitchen, but it needs to be built out for your event, so make sure you consider that into any costs. Georgia was really helpful and responsive to all of our questions (we had so many) and anything that we couldn't do she had very reasonable reasons. (For example, at one point I thought I'd like confetti, but she explained why she doesn't allow that on her property which made total sense!) The weeks before I became worried that there wasn't enough decor, so we bought some items that we ended up returning. Once the rentals arrived, combined with the lighting, everything was beautiful as it was. Though there is excellent lighting, I would recommend watching your step as we did have a few tripping incidents (that were not alcohol fueled in some cases) as the ground changed. It was more due to the way things were spaced and we'd have to make sure to look down as we stepped around things, but we managed to survive. We've started to see some photos and everything looked beautiful; it was a romantic but relaxed vibe which was just what we wanted. I worried it wouldn't feel like a wedding, but it did. Georgia was a gracious host, our guests enjoyed her home (we made sure to tell them that they could rent it as well for an overnight getaway) and we can't wait to start reading her book. She gave us the sweetest compliment after, saying how kind our guests were and how that spoke to who my husband and I were as well. We stayed in touch after the wedding and I hope we meet again in the future for events or just a dinner to hear of her adventures! PS - her cats were big hits all around, too!

Unfortunately, our experience was extremely disappointing and put a real damper on what should have been an incredible night. Check-in begins at 3PM, and we arrived around 5PM after needing to get ready for our wedding reception. Our room still wasn't ready and we were told it was "awaiting inspection." There was no ETA for when it would be available, we were simply told that someone would call or text us when it was ready. This left us without a room when we needed it most. Luckily, my in-laws' room was ready, so we had to use their room to get ready. We also had to leave our luggage with the bell desk and specifically asked that it be delivered to our room once our room became available. After our wedding reception, we returned to the hotel around 11:00 PM. We had received no call, text, or email letting us know our room was ready. I went to the front desk myself and was told that it was, in fact, ready. At that point, however, they couldn't even confirm whether our luggage had been delivered. We went to our room and, unsurprisingly, our luggage was not there. It was eventually brought up to us, but by then we were standing around waiting for our belongings when we should have been getting ready to head to our after party. After an already long and emotional wedding day, this was the last thing we needed. Unfortunately, the problems didn't end there. We had several items from our wedding reception that the hotel agreed to hold for us, which we initially appreciated. When we checked out the following day, we were told that everything they were holding for us had been returned to us. We trusted that information and left. Luckily, we were still in the area at our next stop when we realized we were missing items. We had to turn around and drive back to the hotel to retrieve them. When we arrived, they had several additional items that had been forgotten and not given to us the first time. Mistakes happen, but the combination of everything that went wrong... from not having our room ready at check-in, to not communicating when it was ready, to our luggage not being delivered, to having to return to the hotel because our belongings weren't all returned, made for an incredibly frustrating experience. What makes this especially disappointing is that this was our wedding night. We chose The Langham because we wanted to celebrate such a meaningful occasion there and hopefully have a hotel that would hold special memories for us for years to come. Instead, when I think about our stay, I'll remember it as the hotel that added unnecessary stress to an already exhausting day and didn't make our night any easier. For a hotel of this caliber, I expected a much higher level of communication, attention to detail, and service. Unfortunately, I cannot say that our experience lived up to that expectation, and at this point, I don't see ourselves returning for future anniversaries.

I try to avoid to combine this with upscale expectations - how could you rate this say against a $100-a-night-motel. The motel will always fall short. So in my rating world, when I go, the place as automatically three stars. If it had not, I would not go. Depending on the experience, regardless of the status of the place, I give it more, or ... less. The place is and was really nice and I highly recommend it. By pure definition, it sure deserves five stars. A five star hotel with five star service and five star prices. Now, having lived in the world of the rich-beauty-famous for most of my life, that alone does not impress me too much. If the five star hotel would fall short - and I have seen this, my individual experience may lead to two stars or less, and sadly, it happened. In this case, we loved it and would go again. BUT: to achieve five stars in my rating scheme, I need to be willing to make a 30+ min detour just to go to this particular place. And while ambiance, view & stuff was nice, it was not nice/ special/ outstanding enough to earn its five points. And after Shutters, I went to a place that was clearly worth five stars. A place I have been to often, in walking distance - and a place to I would drive an hour out of my way just to go. But that's another story :-)

My husband, toddler, and 5 months old stayed here for 3 nights on Memorial Day weekend…read more We had a great time from the moment we walked in: - the hotel is beautiful and location is everything - the staff is very nice, tries to call you by name to make you feel special, and everything screams quiet luxury - the room was very nice, well decorated and comfortable. The tub is the highlight. One comment would be that when we checked in with Anthony, who was so sweet to our toddler, also kept telling us we were getting upgraded to a very nice room. We got all excited. It was a normal room. The "very nice upgrade" just meant that we were on floor 5. I barely call that an upgrade but ok. - we asked for a crib, and we go a nice crib with a cute little baby soap kit from noodle and boo- very nice touch. And baby robes for the kids- my toddler loved it. My toddler was on a rollaway bed and they were super accommodating about it- great experience on that front. - balconies are tiny and I never saw anyone out when I sat out - pool staff was super nice. It was a chilly weekend and the pool could have been warmer (I couldn't get in, but I really don't like cold water). - the beach chairs are also very nice and we were surprised to find them available - they were extremely pleasant about our friends visiting us every day! - the lobby waiter during the day was almost inexistant. We had to go to the bar to ask for drinks. The woman at night was great. Now for the food...: - coast has a great breakfast, the lemon ricotta pancakes are excellent (though stupid expensive for pancakes) - pico is a good spot for shrimp cocktail and calamari. Hasn't seen shrimps that big in a long time. - overall the food was good everywhere but way overpriced.... The kids menu are ridiculous... hard to justify spending $28 on kids pancakes. That being said, the portions were the same as adult portions... maybe make the portions smaller, and price more accessible? Overall we had a great stay, and while on the expensive side, we agreed we would come back. Nicely done!

The hotel overall is pretty pricey at $75 per night for parking but they do have a hotel service car that can take you anywhere within a 3 mile radius. Make sure to bring extra cash for tips and as a family that does not always stay in super luxury hotels we were able to DoorDash dinner. Fresh flowers, both in your room and around the whole hotel, they also gave us a set of macaroons on our first night. This has the feel of the Wynn in Vegas. I did not get to use the spa amenities, but they do have that as a complementary option.

The room was very well finished in warm comforting tone. It is also on the large size at around 550 sq ft. And unlike mist hotel rooms, there were plenty of storage, closets and drawers, AC outlets and nice amenities like coffee machine, coffee and tea sets and a mini bar (chargeable items), iron & ironing board, full toiletries, comfy robes and slippers. There was a 60+" TV, a writing table and a sofa. The bathroom was large with a double vanity sinks, separate toilet area and a large shower/tub wet area. Very comfortable room and we slept well both nights. As there is a daily resort fee that included a daily food credit. We used it on a room service breakfast (on time, hit and excellent. And breakfast at Savoca in the JW Marriott; the food was good, but honestly if they told there would be construction during breakfast (banging, sawing and cutting), we probably would have gone back to our room and ordered room service. Service encounters were excellent, a consistent high point at any Ritz. This is be our go to hotel from now on in the downtown LA area.

You'll be within walking distance of Crypto.com Arena, L.A. LIVE, the Los Angeles Convention Center, the Grammy Museum, Peacock Theater, The Novo, Regal Cinemas, and a variety of restaurants. If you're a sports fan, this is definitely the place to stay. We traveled to Los Angeles to attend the Noma LA Pop-Up dinner, which was located about 20 minutes from the hotel. Since Los Angeles traffic can be unpredictable and congested at virtually any hour, staying downtown gave us ample travel time and the flexibility of taking either the freeway or surface streets to ensure we arrived at our very important dinner on time. Since we planned to either walk or take Ubers throughout our stay, we didn't have a car to valet or park overnight. Check-in was pleasant, efficient, and seamless. It was lovely that they offered bottles of S. Pellegrino sparkling water upon arrival. I especially loved the hotel's signature fresh floral arrangements, which added an extra touch of beauty and elegance to the lobby. There was a lot happening during the week of our stay. USC was holding its graduation ceremonies, so many graduates and their families were staying at the hotel. Several women's basketball teams were also there, preparing for upcoming games. Despite its bustling downtown location, the hotel itself was surprisingly quiet; quite the opposite of some Ritz-Carlton properties, such as the one in Waikiki. This location has more of an intimate, boutique hotel feel. Throughout the hotel, the contrast of rich dark wood and light-colored décor creates a sophisticated and timeless atmosphere. I even found myself stopping to admire the beautiful, warm wood door to our guest room. Our room was comfortable, spotless, and beautifully appointed. I especially appreciated the double vanity with generous counter space, as well as the wet room-style bathroom. The only thing that felt a bit unusual was having a bathrobe hanging inside the separate toilet compartment. Although there is a resort fee, it comes with several worthwhile perks. Guests receive complimentary popcorn at Regal Cinemas (no movie ticket required), free admission to the Grammy Museum (no reservations necessary), and an early evening wine tasting at 5:00 p.m. We also received a daily dining credit, which we used for room service breakfast and at Savoca, the shared restaurant located in the adjoining JW Marriott hotel. The two hotels are connected, making it very convenient to walk between them. Just be sure to use the dining credit each day, as it does not roll over. Overall, we had a wonderful stay. Our schedule kept us busy, so we didn't have an opportunity to enjoy the hotel's amenities, such as the pool, fitness center, or spa. We'd happily stay here again on a future visit to downtown Los Angeles.
